love me, or else!

103108_payback.jpgThree of our nation’s leading newspapers, The Washington Times, The New York Post, and Dallas Morning News, endorsed John McCain.

On Thursday, October 30, 2008, the reporters for these three top American newspapers — The Washington Times, The New York Post and Dallas Morning News — were all kicked off Obama’s plane.

Despite pleas from top editors of the three newspapers that have covered the campaign for months at extraordinary cost, the Obama campaign says their reporters — and possibly others — will have to vacate their coveted seats so more power players can document the final days of Sen. Barack Obama’s historic campaign to become the first black American president.”

This feels like the journalistic equivalent of redistributing the wealth, we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars covering Senator Obama’s campaign, traveling on his plane, and taking our turn in the reporter’s pool, only to have our seat given away to someone else in the last days of the campaign,” said Washington Times Executive Editor John Solomon.

I hope the candidate that promises to unite America isn’t using a litmus test to determine who gets to cover his campaign.”

The Obama camp said it is just because the plane is too crowded. They need the seats for other people. Other people being *more sympathetic members of the media* or as I like to call them *koolaid drinking, tingly leg, butt kissing, Obama worshippers*.

We have definitely seen a pattern here, ask a tough question, or criticize *that one* or his side kick *gaffetastic* and get thrown under the bus, investigated, or fired. Joe the Plumber, Barbara West, The Washington Times, The Post, DMN, the NRA, radio stations, the people of Missouri… I think they have a name for that kind of leadership rule.

First they came for Joe the Plumber…

Wednesday, The Washington Times published “Obama, the hoax” a scathing commentary about the great hoax being perpetrated on the American people. Be sure to check it out.

VIDEO: Obama calls $1 Trillion tax hike a “small adjustment” by re-defining $97K family income as “upper class”

I found a video clip in which Obama totally redefines what middle/upper class income is and who should pay more taxes. He is quoted on video. I think this is newsworthy, given the current focus on Obama’s plan to tax a larger number of families. The video shows Obama directly stating this. It is far less difficult to interpret than, say, the Chicago NPR audio-only about redistributive change. This is a video that’s ready-made for a campaign spot and for video news releases. All people will understand it.

In this video, Obama defined $97,000 family income as “upper class” and subject to $1 Trillion in tax increases in debate within the last year and in policy proposals. He also makes a similar claim in writing in an Op-Ed (see below).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-SavgJlBLA

The key minute: Watch from 1:15 to 2:15 for Obama’s remarkable claim that $97K family income is “upper class”

Of course there are other videos of this same debate, Nov 2007, Las Vegas from which you can clip these quotes, but this one just puts in the context of Obama/Biden redefining Middle Class income from $250K to $200K to $150K to $97K is “upper class.” and the top group—and subject to big tax hikes.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=3638710&page=1

I wonder how many families with 2 or 3 kids in middle class suburbs of our major cities would consider their $97 K income to be “upper class.” If any of those kids plan to go to college, the families will hardly be living like the upper class on $97K.

Obama’s Op-Ed

http://www.qctimes.com/articles/2007/09/21/opinion/opinion/doc46f35dac127eb409456532.txt

“… raise the cap on the amount of income subject to the Social Security tax. If we kept the payroll tax rate exactly the same but applied it to all earnings and not just the first $97,500, we could virtually eliminate the entire Social Security shortfall.” - Op-Ed by Barack Obama, Quad City Times, Sep., 2007

Comment by Kal | 2008-10-31 14:22:02

And the technical problem with this concept is that social security is an ‘insurance’ concept system, with only the first $97K being classed as ‘insurable earnings’ at the present time. That is not done to lighten the tax load on those with higher incomes, but to make sure that the system does not get spent out by having to treat higher incomes as deserving larger socsec retirement and disability payments.

Now, it may be that BO plans to tax everyone on every dollar but keep the total amount payable as socsec benefits exactly the same — which is weird in several different ways, not the least which is that he would expect high income people to pay ‘insurance premiums’ on coverage they can’t get?

Man, I sure do wish the msm had been vetting this guy from the getgo, all the things are very technical and complex, but contain very important political issues at their core.

has anyone seen this in the Times of London?

Heeeeeere comes OOOOOBamy!! Gotcha!

OBAMA SUPPORTERS DRINK TOO MUCH KOOL-AID NOW OBAMA IS TRYING TO SOBER THEM UP BEFORE THE ELECTION! By Tim Reid, The Times of London Barack Obama’s senior advisers have drawn up plans to lower expectations for his presidency if he wins next week’s election, amid concerns that many of his euphoric supporters are harboring unrealistic hopes of what he can achieve. The sudden financial crisis and the prospect of a deep and painful recession have increased the urgency inside the Obama team to bring people down to earth, after a campaign in which his soaring rhetoric and promises of “hope” and “change” are now confronted with the reality of a stricken economy.

Also…since he knows he used mass hypnotism he has to wake them from their trance.

One of the best grassroots Dem group online emailed me today. They said they are voting for Obama because they “share the same faith” — and then he listed peace, love, hope, happiness, puppies….you get the drift.

There is no *reason* to vote Obama because he’s done nothing but deal with corrupt thugs to get where he is. He also must still be smarting over Bill Clinton’s slapdown where he was outed as understanding nothing, even tho Bill has FAITH that Obama “can” come to understand. One day.

This is really troubling and it’s an ominous pattern. Two local TV station reporters ask serious questions of Biden, they are banned from any further interviews. Now this.

It’s bad enough that the media has generally been failing to do its job. For those who don’t tingle at the mention of O, they are punished. Good riddance.

The Leader has now surpassed W in his pettiness.

One more reason not to vote for him.

Comment by missouridove | 2008-10-31 15:37:56

In his talk in mid-missouri yesterday evening, he urged the screaming crowd to work their butts off these last few days, get everyone they know to vote for him, etc….He said something to the effect that the opposition is going to throw out all sorts of things against him but that NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO THINK. ie, ignore all of this incoming information about his true political leanings and webs of deceit his, his refusal to prove his (dubious) natural-born citizenship, his fascistic campaign tactics…
I’m with Governor Blunt: stop screwing with us in Missouri! This stinks like police state thuggery.

Comment by DannyD | 2008-10-31 19:03:39

“Now is not the time to think?” Clearly you can’t hear properly–the man said nothing of the sort. And you’re referencing Matt Blunt? Today I went to hold up a sign in the middle of a busy highway. This is a major Florida highway that runs all the way from Florida to California. It happens to run in front of an early voting place too. I was several hundred feet from the poll, on a medium, holding a Vote McCain/Palin sign, a lawful sign, I was fully dressed. Much to my surprise a black woman, pulled up, opened her door and told me. “I am calling the police and have you arrested.” “I smiled and said thank you very much.”

I had smiled, but was stunned. Returning to GOP headquarters I found out that she had called the police dept! Turns out her hubby is a city council member. If Obama gets elected can I expect to get arrested if I should dare to hold a campaign sign for someone other than der precious?

Now get this….. there were 3 or 4 black people, with a table, sitting inside the 100 foot setback.
They had sample ballots and were instructing voters who stopped, how to vote, not only on candidates but amendments.

We had a man video taping and the police dept went by numerous times.

All in all it was a good day, exhausting but wonderful as well. So very many people honked, did the thumbs up, waved or rolled down their window to say thank you. About 4 people of color did, one was a truck driver who waved me through his lane to allow me to hand out a bumper sticker. More positive than negative response.

Time is short but everyone can do at least one thing.

How long, under Fearless Omnipotent Leader Obama, will dissenting press be allowed to publish? This man has vastly more sinister intentions than has so far been imagined.
Biden hinted at it. Something completely antithetical to American ideals is in the works. Some Great Emergency will call for the suspension of our rights, our ownership of weapons and most certainly, our right to speak out.
Freedom has always had a price to it. This nation has been living on credit so long that it forgot what the payment schedule looks like. The price of freedom has always been blood. Either theirs or yours or both but always in blood.
The only time that payment doesn’t have to be made is when you are prepared to make anyone bleed if they try to take your freedom from you.
Have we forgotten too much?

Comment by Kevin | 2008-10-31 13:13:46

This story is blown way out of proportion. In fact the Dallas Morning News address this on their own website. The DMN was also previously kicked off of the McCain plane.

These 3 news outlets have been kicked off but, the Obama campaign has offered to set them up in hotels along the campaign and offered them seats on the Joe Biden plane. Obama simply has limited seats on his plane and can chose who he wants on it. They are not excluded from the rallies, events or finding their own way to each event. Being able to ride on Obama’s or McCains plane is not a right, it is an opportunity that only a limited number of people have.

AP poll: 1 in 7 voters still persuadable
http://www.nola.com/newsflash/index.ssf?/base/politics-19/1225451646143250.xml&storylist=politics

“One in seven, or 14 percent, can’t decide, or back a candidate but might switch, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll of likely voters released Friday…

Who are they? They look a lot like the voters who’ve already locked onto a candidate, though they’re more likely to be white and less likely to be liberal. And they disproportionately backed Hillary Rodham Clinton’s failed run for the Democratic nomination…

These people trust Obama less than decided voters do to handle the economy, the Iraq war and terrorism. They are less accepting that the Illinois senator has enough experience to be president. And by a 17 percentage-point spread, more see Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin favorably…

Asked where they disagree with Obama, changeable voters most frequently mention taxes and the economy, health care, social issues such as abortion and gun control and personal traits including his race and his honesty…

Half are independents, more than double their proportion among decided voters. But, as with decided voters, more persuadables are Democrats than Republicans. Four in 10 supported Clinton’s candidacy this spring…

“She got cheated, I thought,” said Chris Markle, 25, who’s from Schenectady, N.Y., and now leans toward McCain. “I’m kind of upset about that.””…

Comment by DAB | 2008-10-31 13:45:24

Add that percentage of undecideds to those Democrats who are switching to the other side and an upset seems more possible.

Finally, Obama has given me something to Hope for. I HOPE he loses!

For whatever happens Tuesday, this is not the end and NQ’s purpose is not over either.

Obama wins: then obviously the resistance must continue.

McCain wins: the destruction and rebirth of the Democratic Party will not be automatic. That will take a lot of time and work. Pelosi, Dean, Frank, Dodd, Brazile, Obama - they’re not going to want to fade quietly into the night.

People are going to have to mount even more pressure on them, questioning their tactics through this nightmare campaign and their hand in the current financial meltdown, etc.

The fight never ends. Evil only wins if good people stand by and do nothing.

We must never stand by and do nothing.

Yes, this is how a free press is controlled in a fascist country. Nothing happens overnight. The invasions of Hungary and Czechoslovakia happened over night. The removal of human rights in other countries happened/happens gradually. Small steps. People have a more difficult time to react. ‘It’s only a small detail, it doesn’t matter so much, calm down will you?’ And so forth. It’s the gradual creeping erosion of civil rights that’s got everyone scared about Obama.

The personality cult like Mao doesn’t help either. This is propaganda and totalitarianism and this is how it starts.

Black supremacy, black muslims are coming home to roost in North America. Be so certain of it. Don’t wait until it’s too late to react.

Remember: the opposite racism is not black supremacy. Black supremacy is every bit as sick as the KKK. Very much alike to be honest.

React now.

All those youth movements. In Germany, the Soviet Union, China, North Korea - they’re sowing the seeds early. Like seating the right judged on the SCOTUS only hundreds of times more dangerous. They never get to learn what true freedom is. Kool-Aid becomes their H2O.

These guys - DA, DP, BO - they know what they’re doing.

In Cuba..Castro began attacking the free media by demanding the right to add “corrections” at the end of every published article before allowing them to be published…selling this to the people as “to ensure that truth and balance in the media is guaranteed for the people”…most of you know what happened…complete control of the media by Castro…DEATH OF THE FREE PRESS

Comment by Lizzie Struthers | 2008-10-31 14:33:28

I guess you now know what it felt like to be a free thinker in Germany in 1932.

And think how long they too had to pay. Another fourteen years until it was over. Untold destruction and calamities in the interim. Slow reconstruction of their country. And never again trust anyone.

The Nazis are still strong in Germany even though they don’t show their faces much. If you want to advance in your career in the police in Germany you simply let slip you’re not totally adverse to Nazi ideals. Watch your career take off. Low level plebes the force know this - they’re not Nazi sympathisers at all. They just know you have to pretend to be so you don’t get passed over for promotions.

All the while the ‘good people’ will never feel the same again. All the while tens of millions of lives were lost and several countries left in ruins.

All because a few Kool-Aid drinkers would not behave in a democratic way.

Yes it can be that bad again. Yes it will be that bad again. And no one has the right to contest that argument. After the second world war no one has that right. You just don’t mess with demagoguery and mass hysteria. You know where it will ultimately lead and you cannot take a chance. That’s your duty.

Comment by DeaninMi | 2008-10-31 15:13:10

“Another fourteen years until it was over.”

The war may have ended then, but it wasn’t over for the German people. In particular, it was still illegal to be gay in Germany at the end of the war, so all of the gays still alive were lucky enough to see their countrymen freed from the concentration camps, while they themselves were shuffled from the camps to prisons. Where they stayed until the ’60s.

Guess it’s not common knowledge.

Comment by McHope | 2008-10-31 13:38:16

huh?
This country has been Bush bashing for years. Just this year, the media was caught editing the responses of the sitting President of the United States.
You may disagree with Bush all you like, but the media leans left, way left.
After witnessing this election coverage, it seems everything they’ve ever reported, regarding politcs especially, should be reevaluated.

Comment by Typewriterstreaming | 2008-10-31 13:50:38

Was thinking the same thing. I now doubt I got the honest picture about “evil” Bush.

Comment by Zee | 2008-10-31 14:42:58

Oh, get a damned grip. The media used to photo Bush with halos all the time, and let him kick tourists out of our national monuments so he could plant supporters in for a faux photo op, let him not hold press conferences, you name it.

Quit trying to rewrite history and suck it up. Bush was a disaster. Obama is another narcissist with no experience…that doesn’t mean you get to justify supporting Bush. YOU FAILED to hold your party responsible.

WE aren’t blindly supporting a fraud. That’s the difference. You failed. So show some remorse and quit justifying the biggest loser this nation has ever suffered through.

Comment by torland077 | 2008-10-31 18:23:01

Dude, I am not arguing that Bush was the greatest, (although BDS has created alot of the hateful rhetoric) but it is a fantasy to say that the press has given Bush a free pass.
NYT, WaPo, MSNBC, CNN, LAT, CBS you really think these liberal institutions were in the bag for Bush? You may be able to make the case that they were too accepting of the Iraq war (a point I dont agree with but I could see your argument). The media is liberal, plain and simple (every single poll ever taken indicates they are at a pace of 65-75%, 4x that of the population at large), and either you think Bush is a liberal and they were in the tank for him or he is a conservative and they were attacking him.

Hillary just got out flanked on the left by Barry and the media turned their bias on her because they sided with the most liberal candidate, now McCain is being out liberaled and they are attacking him.

Comment by torland077 | 2008-10-31 18:29:29

Also Zee,
Do you realize the silly examples you cited? Halos in pictures, kicked people out of monuments, “let him not hold press conferences”. Never saw a halo in a photo (if you have send me a link I’d love to see it), I can’t even begin to say how silly the photo op comment is, and he’s the president if he don’t want to hold press conferences there is nothing they can do about it (I remember reading articles and seeing reports all the time from the media about how he was dodging the press there is not much more they can do).

I just heard this reported on the radio, and the always reliably biased media had to immediately mention that in the past the McCain camp has excluded certain reporters (like Maureen Dowd). Obama can NEVER be wrong. If he makes a misstep or reveals himself, the focus is immediately shifted to “Well, what about THIS?!” like Joe the Plumber, Barbara West etc. It’s NEVER his error or weakness.

It’s a good thing Americans are not buying it anymore. As Tito said last night on FOX: “Don’t treat the American people like they’re stupid.”

Hear hear Tito.

For anyone who has not read about what the consequences of electing an illegitimate president would be this link is an eye opener. Written by a constitutional lawyer who has practiced before the United States Supreme Court. He says “Obama Must Stand Up Or Step Down”, and as for Berg and the dismissal of his suit for lack of standing, “STANDING IS NOT A TERM FOUND ANYWHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION”.

Accordingly anyone who votes for an illegitimate candidate for President of the United States is guilty of aiding and abetting. Even so in the event of an illegitimate President, America would essentially cease to exist as a nation because we would be without government. This is really spooky. http://gunnyg.wordpress.com/2008/10/29/obama-must-stand-up-now-or-step-down-by-dr-edwin-vieira-jr-phd-jd/#more-4254

Rev. Wright - Obama’s preacher of 20 years, who is a proponent of Black Liberation Theology. This is a melding of the Black Power movement and Liberation Theology, which has it’s roots in Marxism.

Former chief aide to Louis Farrakhan [Nation of Islam, Fruits of Islam (Domestic Security Force), praised by Wright, recipient of special award from Trinity Church, refers to Obama as the Messiah], is founder of the New Black Panther Party (deeming that the original BPP wasn’t cutting it). Weather Underground, Ayers/Dohrn, previously issued a Declaration of War on behalf of the Black Panthers while member of BPP were on trial, and “assisted” by fire-bombing the home of the Judge (at night, while he and family were asleep inside) presiding over the BP trial. There is more, but it’s all connected. Follow the dots.

Comment by tzada | 2008-10-31 16:18:05

Here a a couple of not much talked about dots. And thanks for getting this started. Hope we all bookmark it and add to it.

Frank Marshal Davis was a bisexual man and Barack’s mentor (one of many). Davis had an intimate friend in Chicago named Richard Wright. He was also gay, black and a communist.

Was Richard Wright related to Jeremiah Wright? Was Barack sent to Chicago to link up with either Richard or the Rev? Rev W was a former black Muslim. He also preached Black Theology. The Illinois communist party wrote about Rev W being “crucified” after the “chickens roosted on his head”

Links go between Chicago and NY. Foundations are involved too and links can be found to PBS.

“None dare call it conspiracy” Is there any other name for it? Let us name names and connect those dots. Keep silent and they take everything we have….If we defeat Barack on Nov 5th, we cannot stop there. We have to clean up Washington and the Media. And from this day forward be vigilant.

Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph.
- Haile Selassie

Spray it on, but do not touch it or else you will expose the reality of yourself.

The 3 papers exposed the real Obama and he tossed them like garbage, which is what every American should do to this pathological lying infomercial candidate on Nov 4th!

The GOP needs to run an ad asking Americans if they’d ever been ripped off and conned by an infomerical. Never seeing the product ever fully work, except in scripted context and it reels fools in by the fancy words, so you buy into it and when you finally get it, it doesn’t work. Well the Infomercial candidate has a record of never working and fancy words, so you want to be conned and ripped off by this infomerical canddates lies and lousy product too? For anyone who recalls the book “1984″ the lead character, Winston Smith, worked for the most powerful government department, The Ministry of Truth.
Big Brother dictated through them what the people see and filter out information they did not want them to see. Anyone questioning Big Brother was defamed and punished.
The degree that media has been biased in favor of Obama is unprecendented. They have filtered out news and information they do not want us to see. Media that do not support Obama are banished.
No add in a fairness doctrine if Obama is elected and how far away from a Ministry of Truth will we be?

Moss,
The only distinction separating America from the other historic roll-over-and-play-dead countries who lost their freedom was that those other people were not armed.
Our founding fathers, almost with prescience, saw Barack Obama coming from way back then. They knew that some devious, worthless, piece of shit would come along with a mouth full of bullshit and a seemingly better idea and that he would try to cheat his way into power. They saw that day and made provision fort it. It is the Second Amendment to the Constitution. The amendment which allows the individual the right to all the others.
If it comes down to the people, the people better be ready.

Your paranoia is severely misdirected, in my humble opinion.

I’ve been more worried about the loss of basic American rights and freedoms during the course of the George W. Bush years than at any other time I can personally remember. That’s one of the very reasons that I’ve opposed another republican administration. They’re too plutocratic, too authoritarian, and too damn far to the right.

They won’t get my vote again until they’ve moved toward the middle and once again represent the mainstream. They need a time out to think this over and to get back to their pre-Reagan roots.

Of all the murkiness in Senator Obama’s past - Rezko, Ayers, Wright, socialism, ACORN, attacking the middle class in to raise up African Americans, his wacky tax plan that won’t attack the deficit, - none of that concerns me the way his aversion to a free press does. Socialist programs, Rezko, Ayers, Wright or any other crony of Senator Obama’s that he might want to cater to while in the White House will not destroy America. But the loss of a free press - even one that is now driven by the profit bottom line and has lost it’s objectiveness, will destroy the principles this country was founded on.

I find it difficult to believe he taught Constitutional Law at a top law school in this country. It would be fascinating to peruse the course materials Senator Obama used. Constitutional Law professors span the spectrum from the far right to the far left, but they usually agree that a free press and free speech is a necessity to protect and serve our Constitution.

Comment by Lizzie Struthers | 2008-10-31 14:37:15

Yeah but Ayers would probably give lip service to these freedoms as well. And that sure doesn’t mean he or Obama believe in them.

Comment by Monet | 2008-10-31 17:31:04

That’s why I said I’d find it fascinating to look at the materials he used to teach Constitutional Law. There’s usually one or two law students in every class who tape each lecture and transcribe their notes later. I’d love to see the reading material, notes and listen to any tapes his students have on the freedom of speech and the press.

Obama is such an elitist, that it is sickening all those stupid people in his crowds, some old, some young, some middle-aged, sorry looking bunch, his rally’s look like something Hitler would of had going on, and when I see them I think these are the kind of people who are follower’s, searching for something that has to do with change, they don’t know what it means, they don’t know what is going to happen to the country, they are against Bush and the Republican’s, yet they nothing about this man’s background, they must have no thinking power to figure out who Obama really is or they don’t care, I hope if he is elected they are so severely punished in their lives that they will never forget what they did, this is how the nazi’s got started from a virtual unknown man standing in front of millions speaking about really nothing and the next thing Germany is at war with most of Europe, the Jewish race is being exterminated and then the end of a despicable regime, hopefully some of these foolish people will see the light or maybe the good lord will intervene, I hope so for our country’s sake, please sit down and ask yourself what has Obama accomplished, what has he done, doesn’t it seem he hangs or hung around with so many questionable characters, why would he do that to get ahead in politic’s ask yourself these things, if you have no doubts, then god bless you because Obama is not going to help you, you will be worse off in a year or maybe the same.

So all these morons were CRYING, literally weeping, when they got a pittance even smaller than that. They thought a vote for Bush meant cash in their pockets.

I lmao at the pinhead peons sobbing over that one.

This is what the San Francisco Chronicle had to say about Hillary Clinton in their primary editorial endorsement of Barack Obama on January 27, 2008:

[Her] campaign has shown the sharp elbows that evoke the ugly underside of the Clinton years: the reflex to scorch the Earth, to do what is necessary to vanquish political adversaries … all is justified if you are left standing at the end.

America deserves better than these cycles of vengeance and retribution. Its possibilities are too great, its challenges too daunting, for partisan pettiness.

They didn’t say what exactly Senator Clinton did to “scorch the Earth”, nor did they list any details of her “cycles of vengeance and retribution”, but we all know that all of these things are now fully applicable to Barack Obama.

Is this what we’re going to get if he becomes our next President?

This is what my husband and I talked about for months now. If an Obombma presidency does occur, no one will be able to be negative without being called racist, punished and/or kicked out of the press circuit. Worse, for individuals who write anything revealing or negative, the fanatics who love their messiah will do their best to intimidate or threaten personal harm to these guys. Yep, this is the change Barry was talking about, freedom of speech to communist mentality.

You know The One isn’t going to say anything the least big interesting — they can’t set the teleprompter up on the plane — not enough room.

So, he says nothing, except, “Sweetie, could I get another Obama Soda?”

Just found this great article at realclearpolitics:

A Message from the ‘Mainstream Media’

Hi. My name is Anonymous, and I’m a reporter in the mainstream media. Like a lot of my colleagues, I’m nervous. (snip)

Which brings me back to these new polls. We’d rather not deal with them.

A tight race now would muddy our narrative about the transformational figure, The One. Forbes readers may scoff at Barack Obama as the messiah, but we don’t. Give him eight years in the Oval Office, and the man with the most liberal voting record in the Senate will move the whole country our way. The One will make us “mainstream” once again. He might even make us profitable once again. (snip)

If McCain wins, the mainstream media will remain what it really is, the “more and more marginal media,” and I have a career to think about. (snip)

From my notebook, a few matters that we in the mainstream media would really rather not mention:

To find out, you gotta go read the whole article!

Keep this moving quickly…

PBS has an online poll posted, asking if Sarah Palin

is qualified.

Apparently the left wing knew about this

in advance and are flooding the voting with NO votes.

The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by

mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters

in swing states.

Please do two things — takes 20 seconds.

1) Click on link and vote YES!

Here’s the link:

http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html

2) Then send this to every McCain-Palin supporter

you know, and urge them to vote and pass it on.

The last thing we need is PBS saying their viewers don’t

think Sarah Palin is qualified.

There is a concern bot going around with a TIME article about McCain losing due to early voting. I thought that McCain was benefiting? It is so confusing. Still, McCAIN/PALIN!!!!

Comment by Firefly | 2008-10-31 14:42:57

Dem early voting is higher (like it always is) so the 0bamamedia is trying to tout that as somehow meaning McCain’s losing.

The fact is, McCain is getting an unprecedented number of dem votes that the media and the bots are trying to attribute to 0bama. Actually I’m sure 0bama and his minions are freaking out about now, while they try to fool you into believing that all is better than excellent in 0bamaland.

Nevada early voting is a case in point - here’s the scoop from the patriot room:

The guy doing the exit poll of those who have already voted, with 7,147 responses, puts Obama ahead, 50 percent to 48 percent.

If Republicans were a lot more of the early voters, McCain would be nervous. If Democrats were a lot more of the early voters, Obama should be nervous. And if they were split even, a 50-48 Obama lead is in the neighborhood of what we would expect.

In Clark County, “through Sunday, 55 percent of early voters were Democrats, 29 percent Republicans.”

“In Washoe County, 51 percent of the early voters through Sunday were Democrats, while 33 percent were Republicans.” . . .

In Clark County, Democrats hold a 46.3 percent to 32.3 percent edge in voter registration. In Washoe County, the split is 39.2 percent Democrat, 38.7 percent Republican.

With those numbers, you would expect Obama to be ahead by a much wider margin. . . . [A] considerable number of Democrats and independents/unaffiliateds in Nevada are voting for McCain.

No pollster has had McCain ahead in Nevada since the end of September. So why is McCain so dramatically overperforming among early voters who are disproportionately Democrats?

And here’s info on Florida early voting from redstate:

By way of comparison, there were a total of about 7.5 million votes cast in Florida in 2004 for the two major party presidential candidates. If the reporting on absentee ballots is correct, and the Los Angeles Times exit poll of early voters is also correct, then McCain currently has a lead of about 400,000 votes after one-third of all Floridians have cast their ballots. (It’s also important to note that about 325,000 of the votes so far are unassigned.)

If McCain is already winning Florida by 400,000 votes, with a third of the eligible voters having cast their ballots, Barack Obama is going to have a hard time prevailing in the state.

“All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best.” Occam’s razor

The real reason Obama is worried about Tuesday is that in the 37 state Democratic Party Primary contests, he won 18 of 37 elections. He also won 13 of 14 caucuses. His losses included Florida, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio; all battleground states. He has the MSM convincing voters that he can win a national 50 state election when he failed in doing so within his own party’s 37 multi-state contests.

McCain, on the other hand, won Florida, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio, during the Republican Primary season. And, the one caucus contest Obama lost; it was Nevada - another battleground state.

Question: What if the NFL’s NFC or AFC sent to the Superbowl a team that went 4-0 pre-season but played 1 under .500 in the regular season? The bookmakers in Vegas would offer laughable odds and the television network carrying the broadcast could not sell a dime’s worth of ad time at real Superbowl rates. Fans would boycott the game and sportswriters would mock the event.

Only the American voter will suspend disbelief and conclude a primary contest equals in value to a caucus contest. No, my friend, a caucus is a caucus and a primary is a primary. Obama is in a 50 state general election and he does poorly in those races. That’s why the campaign is worried and that’s why Obama will lose.

Obama vs. Clinton spreads aren’t indicative of Obama vs. McCain outcomes, unless you assume a majority of former Clinton supporters are now McCain supporters.

If early voter turnouts are indicative of high voter enthusiasm, you’ve got to ask yourself who has generated that level of enthusiasm. The polls only hint at what’s about to happen, but you don’t need to be a genius to read the signs.

Conditions are right for a political landslide.

Comment by Newly Independent | 2008-10-31 18:59:00

This is no assumption.

It’s reality.

Obama, the MSM and the rest of you ‘bots have largely ignored or marginalized our existence ever since Obama stole the nomination back in May.

The reality is, however, we have been here all along.

You simply can’t be stupid enough to believe that after the horrible way Hillary Clinton and her supporters were treated by the Obamacrats during the primary that Obama now magically has support from the majority of us?

Can you guys really be that arrogant and stupid?

Obama and his minions have become homeland terrorists, and like all terrorists, they oppress and repress with self-righteous zeal.

What happened to Joe the Plumber enraged me. Who is Joe? He’s you and me - just a regular American who has grown up knowing you can look even the President in the face and tell him s/he’s an idiot without fear.

We’re not a nation of people accustomed to cowering. We’re no one’s slaves. But I see Obama and his bully-bot minions have a lot of people afraid to say they won’t support Obama. The press is afraid to question. If Obama is elected, what happened to Joe will happen to any of us who dare question.

And with Obama’s extensive connection so radical “socialist” types, for the first time in my life, I’m truly afraid for the fate of our Nation. Nothing, and no one, is worth losing our freedom over.
