Obama Relegates Aunt Who Resides Illegally in US to the Shadows While Taking Her Campaign Contributions [Updated]

According to Barack Obama’s website, he ostensibly desires to “bring people out of the shadows.” I quote:

Obama and Biden support a system that allows undocumented immigrants who are in good standing to pay a fine, learn English, and go to the back of the line for the opportunity to become citizens.
Obama also outlines his (laughable) record on immigration reform. Conveniently elided from this list, however, is his aunt from Kenya. On 30 OCT 2008 we learned that Obama’s aunt, Zeituni Onyango, the child of Obama’s paternal grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama, resides in a dilapidated public housing block in South Boston. Although residents of the same metropolitan area, she and Obama led parallel lives: he edited the Harvard Law Review and gamboled about Harvard Square, while she lived in squalor with other immigrants in an economically depressed area of Boston.
He did describe her affectionately in his memoir entitled Dreams of My Father, however. Recounting his first meeting with Onyango, Obama recalls how she said, “You take good care of Barry now.” “Make sure he doesn’t get lost again,” she admonished Obama’s cousin. But as Obama climbed the political and social ladders of the Ivy League and of inner city Chicago, he became more and more “lost” to the relatives about whom he waxes poetic in a text he wrote for personal and political profit.
“I have been coming to America ever since 1975,” Obama’s aunt boasts when interviewed by a London Times reporter. But there is one problem: Obama’s aunt is not a United States citizen. In fact, she received a deportation order in 2004, when her application for political asylum was rejected. I quote the New York Times:
Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as ”Aunti Zeituni” in Obama’s memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango’s case.
Zeituni Onyango’s status as illegal immigrant begs a few questions.
- How did she contribute a total of $260 to her nephew’s campaign in a series of small donations from her South Boston address if she is not a United States citizen?
- Are many illegal immigrants and foreigners submitting small donations to the Obama campaign in order to avoid scrutiny by the FEC?
- How does she qualify for public housing if she is not a United States citizen?
- How is Obama to be trusted to reform the immigration system if his relatives are breaking immigration laws and living illegally in this country?
- And why did the Senator not file a form I-130, a Petition for Alien Relative, on behalf of his aunt after her request for political asylum was rejected? As a United States Senator, he certainly could expedite the adjudication of such a petition.
Obama claims he desires to “bring people [immigrants living illegally in the United States] out of the shadows.” And yet, instead of assisting his aunt with her immigration problems, he swept her aside into the margins of society: not only did he leave her in squalor; he allowed her to stay in the country he desires to represent as President illegally. He did accept her campaign contribution, however. I guess this is what Obama considers “oversight.”
One can only characterize Obama’s treatment of his aunt as heartless. Exploiting her in his memoir while allowing her to live in this country illegally and in poverty, he once again demonstrates that he is nothing more than a careerist who has utter disregard for his family and for the laws of this country. Because he relegated a member of his family to the penumbra instead of assisting her with her problems, one can only assume he can run neither his house nor the White House.

And no, role models do not allow family members to break our country’s immigration laws. They also do not accept campaign contributions from those who are not US citizens.

I found a video clip in which Obama totally redefines what middle/upper class income is and who should pay more taxes. He is quoted on video. I think this is newsworthy, given the current focus on Obama’s plan to tax a larger number of families. The video shows Obama directly stating this. It is far less difficult to interpret than, say, the Chicago NPR audio-only about redistributive change. This is a video that’s ready-made for a campaign spot and for video news releases. All people will understand it.
In this video, Obama defined $97,000 family income as “upper class” and subject to $1 Trillion in tax increases in debate within the last year and in policy proposals. He also makes a similar claim in writing in an Op-Ed (see below).

I wonder how many families with 2 or 3 kids in middle class suburbs of our major cities would consider their $97 K income to be “upper class.” If any of those kids plan to go to college, the families will hardly be living like the upper class on $97K.

Because Fraudama has skirted the law in both the primaries and in the GE in order to gorge on cash once he recognized the vulnerability of the system. I have been reading this blog daily ever since the primaries. Thank you for your good work. This is the first time I write a comment not being an american and not – unfortunately – allowed to vote in the election.
I had to respond to your comment on sending Obama to Europe. Please don’t we don’t want him! Don’t belive the MSM when they say Europe loves him, it is no more right than all those biased polls out there predicting a big Obama win.
We in Europe follow closely the US elections and identify ourselves as either republicans or democrats. My whole life (I am 41, woman, white, university degree in economics)I have been a democrat and I was so excited about Hillary becoming president. I never was impressed with Obama and the more I read about about him the less I liked him. There was no doubt in my mind as to whom I would vote for (if only I could) should it be a choice between McCain and Obama. I could never vote for Obama. And when McCain chose Sarah Palin as VP I was really pleased. I had been hoping for that since I read about her in June.
My point about us Europeans is that I know lots of people for McCain that would never before have “voted” for a republican but would now.
As a matter of fact I couldn’t believe what I saw when Obama began winning the primaries. To me it was just a repetition of what was essentially said for Bush in 2000 against Gore: he doesn’t really have the qualifications to be president but he has advisors to help him. We like his personality and even though more qualified candidates are around let’s vote for him anyway. My sister says about Obama ” best case scenario he is just unqualified, worst case scenario he has a hidden radical agenda”.
As for the polls I said three weeks ago when it looked really bad to my husbond and friends that I just couldn’t believe them. The agressve endorsement of the MSM and the Obama supporters making their case for Obama simply has silenced people not made them change their minds about who to vote for. I don’t believe the enthousiam for Sarah Palin just vanished overnight. The most significant fact for me in all the polls are the number of people not answering. Why would any Obama supporter refuse to answer a poll? As for McCain/Palin supporters it is pretty clear right, you are labelled either a racist or just plain dumb to vote for them. Never before in my life have I been called a racist!!!
So to you all I wish you luck, I belive McCain will win on Tuesday.

More than likely I think they liked laughing at us American idiots who hava let him within a heartbeat away from the US Presidency (and now that its close to happening, they are completely freaking out, wondering if we have gone truly mad…not a laughing matter any longer).

I think the stupidest thing they did was in 2004, the UK paper the Guardian (I think it was the Guardian) started a post-card campaign to have folks from UK/Europe write to voters in one specific county in Ohio and try to persuade them to vote for Kerry This naturally caused a huge backlash in Ohio when the postcards started to arrive, and the vote for Bush was higher than it would have been.
They were shocked when Bush won in 2004, they will be even more so when McCain wins in a few days.
The Guardian is a left wing paper, in fairness most of the papers have a biased one way or the other. Times and the Independent tend to be the best but even they have there moments.
I will confess no one believe that America will elect Bush twice and I believe the Daily Mirror got in trouble for its headline the next day.

An ‘authentic’ birth certificate dated in 1961 in HI might merely be, a document created to reflect that Lolo Soetoro is his birth father, a practice followed in most states when a child purportedly born in the state has been adopted.
She is an illegal alien receiving government assistance & giving him (illegal) donations while he doesn’t give a damn about her — pretty much sums up his entire campaign.

If Obama, with all of his wealth and influence can’t lift a finger to help a blood relative, what makes anyone think that he cares the least bit about 300 million people that he doesn’t even know? The UK Times reported this sad tidbit about the aunty buying a lottery ticket in the hopes of getting some money…I guess she had a better chance with the lottery than with her nephew!

Ugh, what friends? For those that we know of, he claims to not know. As for the friends that we do not know of, they have not come out of the closet to support him. The people who have come out to endorse him are mostly party members. We have yet to see a lifelong friend vouch for the guy.
