Saturday, Sunday & Monday, 8 people (the starving college student kind) will be coming to NC where I am located to stay with me to help out on the ground game here.
I just found out at the last minute, but I did state a couple of weeks ago that I would house anyone who needed it and I refuse to go back on my word despite the fact I made the statement before my fiance had surgery from being hurt downrange.
They asked for my help, so I will give it. They may be strangers but we are definitely united by the same cause, hell after all we have ALL been through I feel like I know everyone of them. But what is at stake is so important. I cannot charge them anything so ANY donations no matter big or small will definitely be appreciated.

Have you checked with the McCain campaign in your area, they should be willing to help out. They will provide food at least and likely a large passenger van with driver etc. They do things like that up here in PA so I’d imagine it is the same down there.
btw, imho phone banking is not working as well as loud and vocal visibilites. That is what I did today and will do tomorrow after the McCain rally in Scranton that I’ll attend.
We got a lot of attention from drivers today – good and bad… but there were also many people that clearly were wondering what our “Another Democrat for McCain” signs were all about. Republicans stopped to tell us we were doing a good job and encourage us. It is direct eye contact and we were a loud and positive group and it was very upbeat.
For those of you who dislike phone banking it is a very rewarding alternative to get out there and scream on a street corner, well, it was for me at least – I had a lot of venting to do!

The McCain camp will help!! I think they would provide some kind of help.
They pay for the buses and hotels to get us pumas around for canvassing from NY to PA, etc.
