In 10 Minutes We’re Live: Just Say No Deal Presents “Closing Arguments” in Nationwide Conference Call at 5 p.m. ET

We go live in just 10 minutes! Go to “Just Say No Deal Presents Closing Arguments in Nationwide Conference Call” right now. (You don’t have to do anything special to listen to the show, but if you’d like to join in at the live chatroom, log in first [or register quickly].)

ONLINE, WASHINGTON DC & NATIONWIDE - The Just Say No Deal Coalition, a group of Senator Hillary Clinton’s most ardent supporters, presents Closing Arguments: The Case for a McCain/Palin Administration via a nationwide conference call on Sunday, November 2 at 5PM Eastern.

A bipartisan team of distinguished women and men — Democrats Lady Lynn de Rothschild and Dr. Lynette Long, and Republicans Charlie Crist and Rudy Giuliani — unite to appeal to Hillary supporters, PUMAs and undecided voters to push through to election day to get out the vote for the McCain/Palin ticket.

This 90-minute conference call will be broadcast worldwide via BlogTalkRadio and NoQuarterUSA.net. Larry Johnson, the owner of NoQuarterUSA.net, will be the host. Mr. Johnson is a former counter-terrorism official and intelligence officer who served in the Reagan, Bush and Clinton administrations. Mr. Johnson became a vociferous critic of Karl Rove and of the Bush administration for their involvement in the outing of former CIA officer Valerie Plame, and he delivered the National Democratic Party’s weekly address on July 25, 2005.

Please join us at 5PM Eastern at our broadcast, Closing Arguments.

Just Say No Deal, which was born the weekend that Hillary Clinton suspended her campaign, is comprised largely of Democrats and Independents who believe in putting Country, not party affiliation, first. We have spoken out against political intimidation in the states and the blogosphere, condemned the mainstream media bias, publicized voter and caucus fraud, and criticized the refusal of the Democratic Party to disassociate itself from the fraud and corrupt actions of ACORN.

Join us at 5PM Eastern for the live broadcast of Closing Arguments: The Case for a McCain/Palin Administration. You’ll need to be registered at BlogTalkRadio to post comments in the live chat.

An audio archive of the conference call will be available immediately after the call concludes at around 6:30 p.m. ET.

Comment by Andrew | 2008-11-02 16:53:37

I have faith we can win this thing. All the news networks are counting McCain out but I have a feeling he can pull this off. Look how fast we got that message about Coal to Sarah. WITHIN AN HOUR!!! During this conference. We need to push all the information that we know to these McCain surrogates. We need to PUSH. WE NEED TO FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I gotta admit, I felt a feeling of inevitability with Hillary toward the end of the Dem primary because I knew the DNC just didn’t want her to have the nomination. But I feel hope with McCain despite all the polls and chatter in the media that he will lose. I know Mac/Palin have a good shot at winning.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-11-02 17:05:46

I don’t know that he can pull it off. The fact that he HAS the momentum, however, should be very satisfying.

It is to me, anyway.

It says: Beware.

Message: Hi everyone,

I found a bit of interesting information today that I want to pass on to you.

PROPAGANDA media and their companion SKEWED POLLS will attempt to discourage McCain/Palin supporters so much that these voters MIGHT stay home.

Well, don’t believe those lies!!!! And don’t stay home! Get out there and vote!

I found a different kind of poll in 3 different places today, a poll that indicates a MCCAIN LANDSLIDE. Yes, you read it correctly. A McCain/Palin LANDSLIDE.

The poll comes from a GOP insider group who does polls so that the McCain Campaign can decide where IS the BEST PLACE to spend their limited resources.

The fact that the McCain campaign WANTS accurate info so thy can make wise decisions concerning where they will spend campaign funds IS A FACT that points to the VALIDITY of this internal polling.

Obama is NOT as far ahead as the PROPAGANDA would make us believe. And this internal polling shows why Obama has expended so much time and effort in Pennsylvania.

BELOW ARE THE URLS TO 2 WEBSITES. CHECK THEM OUT. LISTEN TO THE YOUTUBE THAT’S ON ONE OF THE WEBSITES. AND THEN GET VERY ENCOURAGED!

Fellow NQ bloggers-This is OT BUT IMPORTANT.

PLEASE GET OUT THE VOTE:

1-call family, friends this weekend and -make sure they know where they have to go to vote & ask if they need a ride.If they do, arrange for one.

2- Call your local Republican office and volunteer to work as OBSERVER at your local poll.

BY LAW, polling clerks MUST provide duplicate list of local registered voters at each polling location.
Polling clerks are supposed to update this list EVERY HOUR and keep it available for public review.

Check with your local Republican headquarters if anyone has been assigned to particular polling locations in your neighborhood to review this list.

If no one has been assigned, offer to go look through the book at around 5 or 6pm and see which registered voters names HAVE NOT BEEN CROSSED OFF YET.

IF their names have not been crossed off, it means they have not voted yet. If they have not voted yet, copy their phone numbers & CALL THEM IMMEDIATELY.

The book contains names, phone numbers, and addresses of the registered voters.

Call these registered voters who have not voted yet and remind them what time polls close, ask if they know which poll site they have to go to vote, ask t hem if they need help getting to the polls.Do this right up until the polls close.

PLEASE…THIS WILL BE A VERY VERY Tight race.
We need to make sure the registered voters vote.

Please copy this message and pass it on to friends and family and neighbors and colleagues.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-11-02 17:17:37

Are you kidding? I do not know a soul in my entire world who isn’t voting.

I can’t even figure out what the deal is with the “Get out the Vote” stuff.

Good gravy….I’ve worked in years on that when the most exciting issue was a snoozer. Now, that’s a tough crowd.

But this year?

We’re all working to NOT upset one another so Christmas isn’t miserable. *haha

I thought the same thing to about California but the Latino vote there is very strong and they didn’t like Obama opposition to the botched abortion ban law. I recieved an email about abortions made by latinos, and URGING not to vote for Obama. that video is so impacting that I couldn’t even watch it to the end. This email is made by a latino artist and for latinos. Never in US history there has been a candidate as radical and pro abortion issues as him.
Latinos are deeply religious people that refuse in the great inmense majority abortion.

Another group that really moved is the Christian and Catholic church. I have never been so much visited and called from these group as now. All against Obama.
Even in my country (Puerto Rico), Obama lost by big time because of that, while Hillary was a big winner there). Moderate Democrats (in PR) rule there.

this are silent movements.

I totally agree my city is by majority Hispanic. They do not like Obama at all. I don’t think it’s going to go well with him and the Hispanic vote. They loved Hillary we had Hillary signs all over the place, but now most of those are gone and the ones that are left you’ll see McCain bumper stickers plastered across them. I finally saw one Obama/Biden yard sign. It went up yesterday. It’s this little tiny thing on the street next to the elementary school where we’ll be voting.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-11-02 17:32:26

Oh, I can’t do that.

Too far right for me.

We’ve got some very unkind Republican propositions on the ballot in CA this year.

The worst is Prop 8, which Right-Wingers wish to revise the constitution to prohibit same-sex marriage.

I’ll vote for McCain/Palin, but I will not vote for all Republicans unless they are truly moderate and support the direct John is pointing.

If they are traditional right-wingers?

Complete with fear-mongering crazy campaign memes?

No way.

They are no better than the left-wing nuts.

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/11/02/palin-attacks-obama-on-coal-production/

Palin Attacks Obama on Coal Production
Nick Timiraos reports from Marietta, Ohio, on the presidential race.

Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin unleashed a new volley against Barack Obama on a four-city tour of Ohio on Sunday by touting newly released audio comments made by the Democratic presidential candidate promising to restrict the construction of new coal-fired power plants in the U.S.

The issue is particularly sensitive in coal-rich Ohio, West Virginia, and Colorado. Obama made the comments to the San Francisco Chronicle in January, which were posted on YouTube over the weekend.

Obama said that under his proposal to cap greenhouse gases, energy suppliers would get incentives to develop technologies to reduce pollution and to use cleaner sources of power. “So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can,” Obama said. “It’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

Palin told supporters to listen to the audiotape. “You’re going to hear Sen. Obama talk about bankrupting the coal industry,” she said. The Alaska governor also pointed to comments that Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden made to an environmental activist, promising no more coal-fired power plants in America. Biden was videotaped, likely without his knowledge.

“In an Obama-Biden administration, there would be no use for coal at all, from Wyoming to Colorado, to West Virginia and Ohio,” Palin said.

The Obama campaign scrambled after Biden made his comments in September, clarifying that Obama remained committed to exploring the as-yet-undeveloped clean-coal technology in order to produce cleaner-burning coal-fired power plants.

UPDATE: The Obama campaign says that Palin took Obama’s position out of context because in the interview Obama said that “this notion of no coal, I think is an illusion.” Obama and McCain have both pushed for technology to develop cleaner burning coal. “What we have to do then is figure out how can we use coal without emitting greenhouse gases and carbon,” Obama told the Chronicle in the interview.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-11-02 17:27:43

What else can he say. His remarks contradict his official GE position.

Palin impresses me most in that she understands fully her role as attack dogette. :)

I like any woman who “gets” it that ultimately….how she executes?

That’s all that matters.

CHARLESTON - At least one state coal industry leader said he was shocked by comments Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama made earlier this year concerning his plan to aggressively charge polluters for carbon and greenhouse gas emissions.

“What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there,” Obama said in a Jan. 17 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle that was made public today first on the Web site newsbusters.org, which calls itself “the leader in documenting, exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias.” The story later was linked on The Drudge Report.

Comment by Sarracuda | 2008-11-02 17:53:05

Yeah I heard it on fox news 46-45 McCain

Comment by Andrew | 2008-11-02 17:58:51

Bad news for Nobama. That means two polls in that last few days have given McCain the edge. Also means the RCP numbers are shrinking. Also, pew is more than one day, it is several days, which means this is less likely to be a fluke than the Zogby poll.

Comment by Andrew | 2008-11-02 18:13:11

WAIT, SARRACUDA WAS IT ZOGBY OR PEW THAT YOU HEARD ON FOX?

Comment by Arabella Trefoil | 2008-11-02 17:56:07

Calm down, Andrew. I don’t have the information, but I’m not ignoring you.

By the way, Obama needs to be 15 - 20 points ahead right now in order to win. For him to be within the margin of error is bad news for him.

Play your viola for a while.

Comment by It's Not Me | 2008-11-02 17:57:49

I heard about the Zogby poll yesterday. He had McCain ahead by 1 point. I haven’t heard anything about the Pew poll though.

Comment by Typewriterstreaming | 2008-11-02 17:59:46

Hi Andrew. i didn’t know about the poll so thank you for asking.

Comment by Wiley | 2008-11-02 18:03:31

Andrew -
The poll was a one day poll at Zogby. Yesterday it was back up to 5.

The good news today is the IBD poll has McCain only trailing by 2 and allmost 9% still undecided - They’ll break for Mac and Sarah! !
IBD was was the most accurate in the 2004 elections.

Comment by Wiley | 2008-11-02 18:05:10

Comment by Yo | 2008-11-02 18:17:49

The PEW poll has Obama ahead by 5% BUT in likely voters it has McCain ahead by 1%.

Everyone I know is voting so that puts McCain 1% up for me.

Comment by Andrew | 2008-11-02 18:20:16

Oh!!! Well “likely” is all that matters. IT doesn’t matter if they have Obama ahead with people who aren’t even going to vote.

Comment by It's Not Me | 2008-11-02 18:24:01

That’s right! When you see a poll, pay attention to whether it’s “registered voters” (who may or may not vote) OR whether it’s “LIKELY voters” Key word…LIKELY.

Comment by mlr701 | 2008-11-02 18:29:27

That’s really odd. Earlier in the week, I thought Pew had Obama up by like 14 points or so. I remember being shocked that their numbers were so off the wall.

Comment by Wiley | 2008-11-02 18:48:30

Hey YO -

Here’s the link to the pew poll:
http://pewresearch.org/pubs/1020/pew-final-pre-election-poll

Where do you see McCain up by 1 with likely voters?
I wanna believe it, but I can’t seem to find it.
As far as I can tell, Pew has 0bey up by 7 with likely voters 49 -42.

THE MC CAIN/PALIN LANDSLIDE!

I hate to give away the ending to this wonderful story, but since the title says it, I’m going to do it:

What I will bet my 45 year reputation on is that McCain-Palin will win by at least 42 electoral votes. I will recalculate everything tomorrow and will undoubtedly up my estimate to around a 100 vote margin.

After the call is over, check out the whole thing - charts and all!

AWESOME! I feel the winds of change. There truly IS a silent Majority out here and their silence will end on November 4th! The Democratic Party has NO CLUE what kind of a backlash is heading its way. They are about to see what “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” means!

Add in the just plain old ticked off men, the garlic nosed Italians, the typical white people, the gun clinging, the religion clinging, the Catholics, the Jews, the anti-illegal immigration supporters, the Joe the Plumbers, the Tito the builders, the rural voters, the blue collar voters, the republicans for Hillary (who would never vote for BO in the GE)…..and he’s in a world of hurt.

He’s going down…right where he belongs.

Comment by Firefly | 2008-11-02 18:43:28

I said somewhere the other day that I think this is HILLARY’S ULTIMATE REVENGE - because her supporters are, in the final analysis, the ones who get to bring down the lying, cheating FRAUD and take the first step toward cleaning up the cesspool that is the democratic party (and ultimately give her the opening for 2012)!

PUMA!

McCain Blowout in AOL Straw Poll

http://patriotroom.com/?p=3739

Comment by Diana | 2008-11-03 00:35:12

What’s most interesting about this poll is they changed how they did it because so many were saying McCain supporters were voting over and over. Cheating. So now you have to enter your email, as well as a code, and it’s still for McCain. Now we just need to make sure all these people get out to vote.

Comment by Typewriterstreaming | 2008-11-02 18:17:26

That coal story is really bad. I think it’s a nightmare for obama. This goes to the heart of a number os states very existence. And he looks like a big fat liar. Joe Biden was right in that rope line.

Comment by Arabella Trefoil | 2008-11-02 18:25:05

In that YouTube where Drinky Winky was talking to a voter, slurring his words and gripping her shoulders as if he was a about to fall down, he was talking about coal emissions.

“Ya wanna schtay away from coal. That shtuff is gonna kill ya (hic)” said Shenator Biden.

At the time I was horrified by Biden’s demeanor and his using a petite young woman as a newel post. But now I’m thinking about the content of his remarks.

McCain has been hitting home that people will LOSE THEIR JOBS under an Obama presidency and the Coal statement proves OHitler doesn’t give a DAMN about what any of his lunatic policies do to the ordinary WORKING PERSON. I just got off the phone with my mom who is working at a ballot collection booth today in a Seattle suburb. She said 4 of 5 cars that pull up that have bumper stickers are for Obama. No surprise, but she told me of a couple that just stopped in requesting a ballot for the wife, because she signed up to vote a few months ago and never received a ballot. The woman thinks its because when she registered at a local outdoor event they wanted her to state what party she belonged to, but she refused to disclose her party affiliation so they probably discarded her registration thinking it meant she would vote Republican. You only have to declare your party here for the primaries. So registration fraud is alive and well in Washigton State.

Comment by Andrew | 2008-11-02 18:39:55

What we are seeing in this election is really a party realignment. The Democrats have dumped their New Deal - [Blue collar, minorities, poor, old] for a New Age coalition - [White collar, upper class, rich, young]. The Republicans have dumped their Reagan Coalition - [White collar, Christian, white, men, middle class to upper class, young to middle aged] for a McCain Coalition [Blue collar, Moderate, Christian, lower to middle class, middle aged to older].

Summary:

NEW DEAL COALITION DEAD
REAGAN COALITION IS BROKEN
DEMS OPT FOR YOUNGER, WEALTHIER COALITION
REPS OPT FOR OLDER, POORER COALITION

Comment by Andrew | 2008-11-02 18:46:34

Maybe I should modify that to say Clinton Coalition because the New Deal Coalition died in the 80s. The Clinton coalition [which won] was discarded for the Obama Coalition (New Age). What we are seeing in this election is the fracturing of the Reagan coalition and the formation of the McCain coalition which is really the Clinton Coalition joined with the financial and foreign policy wings of the Reagan coalition. The social conservatives have splintered, some of them going to (gasp!) Nobama (deceived) and some going to Palin. The youth that used to be part of the Republican party has switched to the Dems and the older people that used to be part of the Dem party have switch to the Repubs. Interesting to see how this all works out.

Comment by oowawa | 2008-11-02 18:57:05

Andrew, you need to simplify this quite a bit. One thing’s for sure–you can no longer tell the good guys from the bad guys by the color of their hats.

TV ratings:

Fox News beats all the cable channels, translates into the mood of the nation. If more people are watching Fox that means they are looking for more info about McCain and Palin and they believe the media is biased. If they have more info about the empty suit Obama then they will vote for McCain.

Have you guys seen Obama lately? He doesn’t have that “spring in his step”. Pay attention. I think he knows he’s not “the one”.

Famous Buddhist saying: “As soon as you doubt your own divinity, your feet turn into clay and you lumber around like an ox.”

(Actually, I just made that up, but it sounds about right.)

Great program, Larry! You did a great job moderating, and especially Dr. Lynette Long gave a great rundown of why PUMAs are Nobama!

Great program, Larry! You did a wonderful job of moderating, and especially Dr. Lynette Long gave a fact-laden rundown of why PUMAs are Nobama! Required listening for on-the-fencers! (I doubt that there are any of those here, but link to the blogtalkradio page with the playback and send it to those who are.) Thanks, again!

Thanks Larry, great show, and a big thank you to your guests. NQ rocks!

And Andrew, thank you for the explanation of what’s happening with the political parties in this election. My son, a former conservative Republican is voting for Obama; I, known as the radical in the tribe, am voting for McCain/Palin.

Your post helped me understand what’s happening, and I appreciate that!

What’s with Drudge’s Messiah like picture of Obama front and center?

Has he crossed over into koolaide land as well?

Great show!! Thank you for providing this. I like the fact that there is a lot of positive energy coming out of the McCain team. People are energized, they know their stuff and they are very engaged. However, I did not have to be convinced on the difference between McCain and Obama. I have done my own research and have made up my mind. I hope this helped someone reach their own conclusions.
