The Best Reason Not to Vote for Senator Obama; or, Deconstructing His Great Lie
By Ani on November 2, 2008 at 9:55 PM in Backtrack Obama, Bamboozling, Barack Obama, Chicago politics, Current Affairs, Democratic Nomination, Democratic Party, Electability, Elitism, Joe Biden, Joe The Plumber, John Kerry, John McCain
I am delighted to see that Senator McCain currently has the wind at his back. Otherwise, this country stands at the precipice of one of the biggest electoral mistakes imaginable – making the singularly unqualified Senator Obama Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces and leader of the free world. By his own rhetoric and associations, he doesn’t seem to like America very much, and is so arrogant, he cannot even fathom how deeply unprepared he is to lead our country during this most difficult time.
I have watched in horror and amazement as deeds, gaffes, falsehoods and gross errors in judgment that would have taken down any other politician just slide from Obama like Teflon, much like George Bush. Bush’s problem is not that he’s a Republican. It is that he is a petty, arrogant bully who thinks he is anointed by God, much like Barack Obama.
I believe Obama’s supporters are voting for a carefully crafted narrative; a symbol rather than a man. Symbols don’t govern. Men do. Women do. A symbol is nothing if there is no substance behind it. Here is my closing argument that he is “words, just words” and the substance of Barack Obama is as thin as tissue paper.
Campaign manager David Axelrod had to find a way to propel an affable but rather wishy-washy, under-achieving legislator from Illinois with only a couple of years in the Senate under his belt past a host of far more accomplished candidates. Therefore ‘experience’ became a dirty word.
With Senator Obama’s silvery speeches, his slick, evasive way around all direct questions and no policy decisions one could pin on him, he was able to move close to the front of the field. But he could not get past his biggest obstacle: the brilliant Joan of Arc in a pantsuit, Hillary Clinton. All eight guys sharing the debate stage piled on, including Obama, but still, she came out on top with her preparedness and smarts. So the narrative had to be amended. Not only is experience a dirty word, “Clinton” had to become a dirty word as well.
We were reminded of Republicans hunting Bill Clinton endlessly in the 90’s and told that we didn’t want to support political dynasties, i.e., Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton. Well, Hillary is Bill’s wife, so technically, she’s a Rodham. No dynasty there, but no matter. So first “experience” became a dirty word and “Clinton” became a dirty word, too.
After seven years of George Bush, Democrats, starved to retake the presidency, were sick and tired of partisan bickering and infighting. Whether people loved the Clintons or not, some were afraid that perhaps the Clinton name meant that the “hunt” would start all over again so they were willing to buy Axelrod’s first narrative in order to escape the second.
And then the third narrative was born: Barack Obama is post-racial, post-partisan and stands apart from inside-the-beltway politics. He will cut through the gristle and build consensus because he has no enemies and is not set in his ways like some old pol.
Axelrod then had to create a fourth narrative: Barack as rock star. He needed to draw the eye in order to bypass the Clintons’ rock star status within the Democratic Party and to distract the American public from the most important reason not to vote for him: he didn’t know what he was doing and had a paper-thin resume.
Hence we got the super-sized rallies, the soaring speeches, the ‘fainting,’ people screaming “I love you, Barack” from the throngs in the audience. We now know that many of his enormous rallies had freebie giveaways – rock concerts and the like. But that was a well kept secret, like the rest of this well-crafted stage farce. So the mystique of Obama was born.
The Democrats’ antipathy toward the Iraq war also helped to birth the fifth Obama narrative – Obama as the anti-war candidate, because of a speech he allegedly gave in the ultra liberal Hyde Park district of Illinois in 2002, at no political cost to himself. He was the man of “good judgment” for his war opposition. Not that he had the power to vote on any such a thing at the time. If he did, surely he would have found a way to do as he had always done in the State Senate when challenged by a politically risky vote: vote “present” as he did there 130 times.
But then, an all too compliant media started to get the collective tingle up their leg. Whether this was out of fear of being called racist if they didn’t ‘treat the black guy nicely’, or just their obsession with taking Hillary down or both, I don’t know. But they willfully decided not to do their jobs. He received no vetting whatsoever.
Still, Hillary Clinton had a formidable lead in the polls and was winning the majority of primaries before Super Tuesday (including Michigan and Florida), so he needed a new narrative to blunt her momentum and I’m sure everyone remembers what that was. It was born after Hillary’s unexpected win in New Hampshire and solidified with the South Carolina primary in January – ‘Bill Clinton is a racist and Hillary is insensitive to the plight of the African American community.’
When the campaign started, Obama was ‘bi-racial.’ That wasn’t working for him so well, so he became ‘African American.’ Another new narrative – is that number six? I am beginning to lose count.
Axelrod knew that Obama’s exotic background and dispassionate, professorial demeanor was not connecting well with the black community. Therefore, he had to drive a wedge between the Clintons and the AA community who were so fond of them. Professor Sean Wilentz published a brilliant article in the New Republic called “Race Man” detailing exactly how this was done. Again, the media played an important role here because they gave carte blanche to any nonsense that came out of Obama’s mouth, or that of his surrogates. This narrative of Hillary and her supporters as racist, low-information “Archie Bunkers” grew legs, although it had no basis in fact.
Even the clueless Senators John Kerry and the bloviating Joe Biden told us we had to vote for Obama because he is black. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it is just as racist to vote for someone based on the color of their skin as it is not to. So I guess narrative three (post-racial, post-partisan) was discarded.
Then, against the will of most of the mainstream media in March and April, word of Obama’s malignant associations started to bleed out: the now convicted criminal Tony Rezko, Reverend Wright, unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers and more. Another new narrative was born: the “I didn’t know” or the “it was boneheaded” narrative: a convenient way for Obama to avoid taking personal responsibility for any of his past actions or associations. Good judgment, you say?
Sometimes I think Senator Obama gets up in the morning, walks to the mirror, smiles at it and challenges himself to see how many dissembling statements he can make to the press without getting called on them. I think it must be a game to him, otherwise, how could he dare to be so cavalier with the truth before the American people.
I’m not going to detail his lies about these close associations, or his involvement with ACORN, nor am I going to detail his reneging on his important policy promises like FISA, NAFTA, Iraq, Israel, don’t ask don’t tell, women’s rights, gun control, Bush’s faith based initiatives and so on. All of these are egregious breaks in faith and trust not only with his supporters but with the entire party. Worse still were the press and DNC elite riding shotgun for him at every turn helping him to steal the Democratic nomination through caucus fraud, blocking re-votes and illegitimately being awarded delegates he did not actually earn. Let’s leave that aside for the moment, too.
To me, the worst break in faith was his reneging on public financing, for one very simple reason: his entire candidacy was built on the notion that the American people needed a new way of doing business in Washington. That lobbyists, special interest groups or billionaires cannot buy the Presidency.
So far, he has spent nearly a billion dollars trying to buy the Presidency.
Much of this money has come to him from questionable – and untraceable – donations on the internet. He just spent millions blanketing five networks with a thirty minute infomercial; this after spending six million for his faux-Greek column event at Invesco Field bullying all into submission at the Convention; this after his Barack-apolooza celebrity European Tour, trying to overwhelm the multitudes, foreign and domestic, into believing he is the President without him actually having done anything to earn the title.
He has said that he rejects lobbyists but the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac scandal have revealed that aside from his ardent supporter, Senator Chris Dodd, head of the Senate Banking Committee, Senator Obama has received more lobbying money from them than anyone. A new way of doing business?
Pollsters are cooking the numbers shamelessly in Obama’s favor. Until this last week, where we finally had the likes of CNN’s John King admitting to the ridiculously biased media coverage, it was a veritable love fest for Barack and a sandstorm for Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Had Obama kept his word to accept public financing, as John McCain did, and just campaigned on the issues, as McCain has worked to do – do you think Obama would still be in this contest at all?
These are his fighting tools: Experience is a dirty word. Clinton is a dirty word. I take lobbying money but I pretend I don’t and no one calls me on it. I change my tune daily on different networks and no one bothers to compare my false statements. I am not bi-racial, I am black. I insult the white grandmother who raised me by labeling her a “typical white person.” I insult people who don’t vote for me by calling them “bitter voters who cling to God and guns.” The Clintons and their supporters are racists. Everyone who says anything bad about me must be racist. If the press does not write glowing reports about me, I kick them off my plane, although they have paid good money to be there. “I didn’t know” (about Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Pfleger, my aunt living illegally and in squalor in Boston). Everything you find wrong with me or my campaign I either didn’t know about or it was ‘boneheaded.’
This is a new, cleaner way of doing business in Washington? What is cleaner about trying to overwhelm everyone else out of the race before the American people notice that your policies won’t hold water, and that you won’t hold any position long enough to stand against the changing wind. Obama promised hope and change. He, like George Bush, proclaimed himself a great ‘uniter,’ yet he has rapidly emerged as the most divisive figure in politics. How ironic that he, and the media, tried to paint Hillary as ‘divisive and polarizing’ when he and his supporters are responsible for more hateful vitriol than I have yet seen. Friends and couples are actually breaking up over supporting or not supporting this man.
His careless ‘let’s throw money at the problem’ attitude is horrid, particularly in such difficult economic times.
Obama and Biden deriding the “Joe the Plumbers” of this world belies not only their rhetoric but basic Democratic principles. Further it shows Obama to be an elitist, out of touch with the needs and concerns of average Americans. He postulates on “spreading the wealth around” from the safety of his Chicago mansion, and says it is “selfish” not to do so, while he and his wife, millionaires, give relatively little to charity, and his ‘favorite aunt’ in allowed to contribute $260 to his campaign yet lives illegally and in squalor in Boston. Oh, he “didn’t know.”
More do as I say, not as I do. That is the most damning and devastating part of his candidacy. It was always built on a lie built upon yet another bunch of lies.
How can anyone run on their “good judgment,” yet say “I didn’t know” to breaking revelations at every turn and be given a pass? How can we trust such a man ‘to know’ enough to take care of us when he doesn’t know enough to take care of himself or his own? Or willfully turns a blind eye to crooked and divisive behavior?
A grossly inexperienced, under-qualified man is poised to take the most difficult job in the world at one of the most challenging times in our recent history. And the entire narrative the svengali Axelrod and the media have crafted for him is built on nothing but smoke and mirrors. Hope and change indeed.
Contrary to his image, he is nothing more than an old style politician, an opportunist borne of the Chicago Daley machine, a man who has worked to buy the presidency and changes his policy positions as one would change their socks. After the Joe the Plumber debacle, the myth of Mr. Hope and Change has been debunked. What was initially appealing about his candidacy no longer exists. What is left?
I can find no good reason to vote for him.
I certainly hope the American people will come to the same conclusion this Tuesday.

Thanks for the excellent piece, Ani.
Speaking of lies, many of them have been told about Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Here is a short video (1:00) a friend and fellow PUMA made in support of the Alaskan governor I wanted to share with those here at No Quarter:

One other thing. I did not have the chance to listen to the NQ/JSND/PUMA conference call earlier tonight, but someone told me that Larry Johnson gave me and my work a shout-out. Larry, you, Susan, and everyone else here are terrific and you’re all class. Thanks very much, both for NQ’s great work and for your kindness towards me. I really appreciate it.

Hello Zeke,
Breaking News for Nov 6th
McCain wins…Riots still continue…
Early last night it became clear to pundits who had predicted just days before an Obama landslide , that McCain was going to be the next President. When PA went for McCain all eyes were on VA , OH and Fl and they too ended up in the McCain column. Obama managed to carry only 2 Bush states from 2004 , IA & CO , but they were not enough to win or offset the stunning loss of PA which hadn’t gone to a republican since 1988. How did the pollsters and pundits get it so wrong? Some say racism. In the end they failed to measure another historical record turnout. The huge turnout for republicans. Most polls only forcasted for a large democratic turnout. Barack Obama has yet to concede the election or ask for rioters to stand down. Gov. Schwarzenegger of Ca has declared a state of emergency as Los Angelos burns. Chicago and Atlanta are in trouble has police forces have yet to regain control of the cities. Rioting in other cities like New Orleans is increasing. President Bush and President Elect McCain met with Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff to discuss calling up the National Guard to force the peace. In Congressional races the democrats were a lot less competitive than expected. In a speech today Nancy Pelosi said it was the darkest day in American history that our beloved leader Barack Obama had been denied the Presidency and blamed last minute ads about Jeremiah Wright.
Pennsylvania Red! Can’t wait to see it.
Great post Seattle, but I do think CO (if not IA too) will go red.
Blue has always been my favorite color until this year.
What originally brought me here to join the fight was that my colors have been Red White and Blue for as long as I can remember. When I saw Obama steal the legitimate candidate’s nomination, I could not stand idly by. As my friends here know by now, it has never been a case of love with me for Hillary. But I know that I am of a rare group… one who doesn’t care as much about” Who” as “How” and when Obama so obviously Broke The Law to do it, I had to side with you all. My close brother in arms, Bill, (The Best pistol shot I ever saw) said to me just yesterday, “Did you ever declare the oath you took when you went into the Army to be null and void?”
“Of course not,” I answered.
Here it is:
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Then he said three more words…”Foreign and Domestic…”
When I saw Obama steal the legitimate candidate’s nomination, I could not stand idly by
- Same here.
What about the troops they just brought back from Iraq? They should be able to help…always figured they were to help put down civil disturbance after he election.
from your keyboard to the goddess’ ears
I heard on the radio tonight they’re predicting riots whether he wins or loses. Worse if he wins, because they’ll think they now have a right to riot and no one will try to stop them.
LOL Zeke!! That was a biggun. :O
A game of Mille Bornes anyone?
LOL, Harp, Zeke.
Road Hazard, Teak… take a card!
Well, you’ve picked a perfect moniker since it perfectly describes the type of person who would visit a site without having some sort of idea what the site is about. (And, just out of curiosity, how did you get here if you didn’t know what you should expect?)
Fee, fie, fum, foal,
I smells the blood of a brand-new troll.
Hey Idiot…Your username? Enough said. Although you really should call yourself Idiot Troll instead.
Hannity & Colmes - January 2008 Interview with Obama by San Francisco Chronicle says his energy plan will necessarily bankrupt the coal industry.
Pat Cadell says the interview should have come out a long time ago, but knocks him over like a feather.
Hopefully, word will get him out and cost him votes in coal producing states.
I like Pat Cadell, months ago he was drinking the Obama kool-aid but he said that after the things he has found out about Obama he has no clue what the hell has happened to the Democratic party, they have gone in a direction that is insane and dangerous
What is the problem with the RNC/McCain oppo research team? First the LA Times article about Khalidi and the missing tape just came out and now an interview with the SF Chronicle? Why aren’t they on top of this stuff–it’s not exactly hidden.
FYI - breaking promises?

Wait until you hear this !!! Hillary Clinton talking about Senator McCain and Senator Obama!!
by Greta Van Susteren
THIS IS THE TAPE EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT!!
The video/audio below is (I think) part of a robocall campaigning …I am not positive this is the right tape but based on what has been described to me and the contents, it sounds like it is the tape that is now part of robocalling…..listen to it and answer these questions:
1/ what do you think Senator Clinton thinks about this tape?
2/ If Senator Clinton was speaking HONESTLY at the time of the video, how does she defend TODAY her endorsement and campaigning for Senator Obama?
3/ Why did the Republican ticket not do this earlier? Wait until now? Isn’t it too late to have any impact?
4/ Do you think this tape has any impact on voters?

Look it is what it is. The McCain camp is spending all it money in the last 72 hours. They believe in a close election you win in the last 72 hours.
That’s not new. I remember when HRC said tht during the primaries, and it’s been repeated since. McCain used it in a commercial earlier.
so do I. I thought it was some private statement she said on a hot mic. Pffft.
His story is like some action “hero” in a serial adventure. The narratives get blurred after a while and multiple narratives become harder to keep track of. This works to his advantage with non-critical observers, because they just start tuning out all the contradictions and picking the parts they like. He’s an urban myth factory by himself and it will take continued effort from places like NQ to turn the hero picture to something more accurate.
Transcript of Obama on His Aunt to CBS’ “Evening News”Following is transcript from tonight’s CBS EVENING NEWS. More of Couric’s interview with Sen. Obama to be broadcast Monday on THE EARLY SHOW and the special one-hour CBS EVENING NEWS.
Couric: YOU HAVE AN AUNT WHO’S BEEN LIVING IN THIS COUNTRY APPARENTLY ILLEGALLY, AND YOUR CAMPAIGN SAYS ANY AND ALL APPROPRIATE LAWS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED. SO WOULD YOU SUPPORT HER BEING DEPORTED TO KENYA?
Sen. Obama: If she is violating laws those laws have to be obeyed. We’re a nation of laws. Obviously that doesn’t lessen my concern for her, I haven’t been able to be in touch with her. But I’m a strong believer you have to obey the law.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
We’re a nation of law…that is really funny coming from a serial liar, Chicago shyster.
Yea, she was hiding in Boston. I can see why it would be so difficult for him to “be in touch with her.” Phony.
But I’m a strong believer you have to obey the law
The BS that comes out of his mouth is nonstop. Hypocrite.
Ani, great piece. And yes, I can find no reason to vote for this unqualified, inexperienced, homophobic, misogynistic, arrogant, condescending, Chicago politician.
Great work!
I agree, great summation.
I love you, RRR Amy!…..LMAO!
I second that; all of that !!!
Thank you Ani: well and eloquently said !!
Superb as always, Ani.
Ani,
As you write, there are so many reasons to not vote for Obama. The comments quickly posted on this article reinforce this with even more reasons. The reamining question is how could any thinking and attentive person actually vote for Obama?
Thinking and attentive people aren’t voting for Oblahma. They realize he’s a media created con - and the media has promoted him to enhance THEIR interests - not ours.
That’s my whole point Matthew.
Thinkers and attentive people do not support Obama.
PLEASE VOTE MCCAIN /PALIN DO NOT GIVE UP SAVE YOUR COUTRY FROM
http://oldbluewebdesigns.com/USSA.htm
Great post. I have never found any reason to vote for Obama. But it seems no one voting for him has found one either. I continually ask my friends “why” they would vote for Obama. They say Bush. WTF?
Bush fabricated reasons to go to war in Iraq with the help from the same MSM now in the tank for Der Precious. You would think people would make the connection that Obama IS in the strongest possible essence, “Bush.” Apparently kooliad and the lust for their symbolic idol candidate trumps logic, reason and sound judgment.
Coal official calls Obama comments ‘unbelievable’
http://www.wvrecord.com/news/215679-coal-official-calls-obama-comments-unbelievable
I’ve been saying this for a while: Its not a good sign that Der Precious has been on the defensive since his illegal coronation as nominee on that styrofoam Mount Olympus abomination of his.
Wonder how the United Mine Workers union is feeling about endorsing Obama now…..
The Obamatrolls are refering to the Union site, that says Mccain is bad for coal. Of course the real reason to attack the Mac is that unlike McCain Obama has promised to eliminate the private ballot/endorse EFCA, which would help Big Labor-bosses immensely.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QIGJTHdH50 AFL-CIO’s Richard Trumka playing the race-card in favor for Obama to eliminate the private ballot.
BTW, updated the Obama Civilian defense Force/Obama Youth post at my blog.
Fellow Ladies and Gentlemen. The story that could be a game changer is the coal story. Not only did he say his plan would destroy the coal industry but that it would drastically increase utilility bills. This is a story we need to keep spreading
Its spreading exponentially. The MSM propagandists and nauseating fuckhead trolls won’t be able to contain it.
I sent the audio of this to the Denver Post, Billings Gazette (MT), and Casper Star Tribune (WY), just in case. Tho reliably red the dem politicians who have supported Barky are going to have some questions, including MT governor and Senator; WY governor; and CO governor, senators and representatives, probably Tribes too.
I sent the story to all the PA papers and media outlets this morning as well.
Yes! If it gets played big it could cost him PA, OH, and CO.
Obama is the biggest blowhard ever and those who support him will never believe he isn’t the greatest thing since sliced bread because most of them embrace the socialist agenda–they want someone to take care of them so they don’t have to do it themselves. This is the greatest lie of the democratic party. They claim to be in the corner of the poor people but what they have done is made sure that poor people have been brainwashed into believing that they cannot make it on their own. They would rather have the poor be dependent than have them work towards taking care of themselves and these people have bought into this agenda. They truly want a socialist society. I know this because I was comment on a democrats blog saying that Obama was a socialist and no less than ten people responded, “Obama’s a socialist? I WISH!” Unbelievable, but true. This is the mentality we are dealing with.
This is a very good article about the PUMA factor and how it will give McCain the POTUS. It is short but very informative and deals with everything on number bases. After reading this I have no doubt we will win.

excellent article. not that anyone has noticed, but i’ve been saying for a while i feel in my bones it will be a mccain/palin landslide because of pumas. ihopeihopeihopeihopeihope…
OT but important. Pass this around! The first paragraph in the release is devastating and so true! Bold is my emphasis.
By the way ignore the MSM on TV and Web. Its total negative spin right now. Thank god this is over in a couple days.

New Hampshire Union Leader Endorses John McCain
“Barack Obama has no experience — none. He may be the most unprepared major-party candidate ever. His own vice presidential pick says our enemies will test him quickly and severely. There is no good reason to take that chance.” Joseph W. McQuaid, New Hampshire Union Leader
“America’s choice this Tuesday”
Editorial
By Joseph W. McQuaid
New Hampshire Union Leader
November 2, 2008
This presidential election comes down, as they often do, to trust. We must trust the person’s competence, courage and ability to defend us from our enemies and to fight for the best economic conditions possible.
In both areas, John McCain stands head and shoulders above his rival. McCain has been tested as few men ever have, and he has never been found wanting. Barack Obama has no experience — none. He may be the most unprepared major-party candidate ever. His own vice presidential pick says our enemies will test him quickly and severely. There is no good reason to take that chance.
Those who believe Obama’s claims that he will reduce 95 percent of Americans’ taxes, while he pays for near-universal health care, subsidizes clean energy, expands our military commitment in Afghanistan, adds to mass transit and highway infrastructure, etc., etc., are living in a dream world.
Fortunately, there seem to be fewer and fewer dreamers every day, as the polls tighten and people begin to really look at all the promises Obama has made.
John McCain promises us only his hard work and integrity, his experience and true grit, and a solid faith and optimism in America. In our view, that makes him the clear choice for the independent, thoughtful people of New Hampshire.

So…
Why are you voting FOR John McCain?
I can answer really easily. I love John McCain AND Sarah Palin. I cry when I hear them speak. THEY love this country that OHitler clearly has so much hatred for. McCain is a war hero, who comes from a long line of men who have served this country. My father was in WWII as an 82nd Airborne Paratrooper and I have no doubt that he would feel the way I do about Senator-soon-to-be-President McCain. I like McCain’s no BS approach that has also sadly pissed off some people in DC, but means he won’t let criminals like Pelosi, Reid, and all the Dem thieves steal from us anymore. I am not a socialist and never will be. America wasn’t founded on socialism and I really think the Dems would be better of moving to Venezuela or Cuba. That’s just NOT what we are. We are an incredibly unique country that McCain understands and wants to GROW and STIMULATE the economy based on OPPORTUNITY and the freedoms granted us by our forefathers in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. The liberals seem to want those documents burned immediately. Very sad. When I see McCain and Palin speak, I feel safe, secure and I feel love of country. When I see Obama and Biden speak I see dirty, selfish, back room Chicago machine politics, lies, cheating, stealing, sexism, hate, racism. McCain loves women and picked Sarah Palin. A brave move that paid off. That alone is reason to vote for him IMO. In my opinion there’s no reason NOT to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket and absolutely ZERO reason to vote for those two buffoons Osama Biden Laden.
You fed the troll. I hope they get heartburn!
I like feeding them. They skulk off when you use reason because they have none. Heartburn is right!
Wait a minute! There is one saving grace! Obama voted against the war! Oh wait! He wasn’t in the Senate at the time!
And we have only his word for it that he ever made that speech that he brags on so much. But he wouldn’t lie about something like that …
Riverdaughter did a write up on this, in Obama’s so called speech he gave in 2002 he said it was based on Powell’s speech. A speech he didn’t give till 2003. Didn’t know Obama was also psychic did you?
Here’s the link to the article:
http://tinyurl.com/3hwubc
I cry too.
It still means something to me when people give their lives for our country. Between John and Sarah, they have three sons in the military. They DO rather than talk. No country is going to f___ with John. He’s already proven that he would die for this country.
What the “f” has Obama ever done for anyone but himself?
Ditto that. Obama is a racist, radical, liberal extremist with close ties to domestic terrorists. Both he and his monster wife are anti-American. Obama doesn’t have the courage or character to admit to anything. He lies, flip-flops, weasels and worms his way out of any uncomfortable situation. He’s also a fascist who censors and attempts to discredit any dissenting individuals or opinions.
Can you read? Read Ani’s piece, and then the NH Leader endorsement above. End of story.
fif,
I appreciate knowing that some are standing strong for their principles. This is a very difficult election season — voters are under enormous pressure from unexpected places.
It is heartening to know that many are standing by their principles. I know, on many levels, it is not an easy choice. Especially for people who have been die hard Dems all their lives, like myself. But I cannot toe the party line this year. Not after the behavior I have seen from the Democratic party.
’cause he is NOT Barry ‘the fraud’ Soetoro Obamadingo. Got that?
I don’t belong to a party and never have. In my opinion - both major parties are majorly broken.
I’m voting FOR John McCain because I trust him to take care of our country and to think of the American people first.
I respect anyone who is willing to stand up to their party heavyweights with out regard to the personal political consequences. McCain has ALWAYS done that - the media says he has “changed” and he not the same old John McCain they used to love. The only thing that has “changed” is that he is running against The anointed.
This country can’t work with out reaching across the aisle - McCain does that better than anyone, he did it when he entered Congress and he is still doing it. It’s made him enemies in his own party but it’s good for this country and it’s good for the American people.
I trust him - he makes government work and he makes it work for our benefit and not just his benefit.
I don’t have to agree with everything a politician says (I rarely do) but, I do have to trust them and expect them to tell me honestly what they will do AND not do. McCain does that.
For Poster known as ummmm.
I’m voting for McCain because John Kerry begged Mac to be his VP running mate in 2004.
If Mac was good enough to be invited to join the 2004 Democratic ticket, he’s good enough for me now.
That’s back when democrats embraced McCain because he could be counted on to reach across the aisle and often voted with Democrats against his own party.
They emraced him up to the second her won the GOP primary, then they turned on him like the acid-sprewing raptors they really are.
In many instances, McCain and his bi-partisan gang of 12, prevented partisan deadlock in the senate.
And McCain did not funnel any pork back to his state.
Unlike Obama who managed to funnel 900-million (in less than 2 yaers) back to the special interests in IL who helped him win the Senate seat.
Lastly, McCain is his own man. As evidenced by his picking Palin. If e makes a mistake, he takes the backlash with strength.
Not Obama — Obama weasels out of every mistake he ever made. Usually with a lie. I.e. “I never knew Rev. Wright said Goddamn America. I never ever heard hims ay those awful things in 20 years.” What an abject lie.
Obama is not his own man. Obama will do or say anything for political expediency to gain the Oval Office.
And once he’s in there, you can expect him to flipflop on all his promises, just like he did with FISA.
Obama’s vote on FISA should have been a big sign to the left that you cannot trust him.
But another sip of koolaide made FISA go away for the left.
With McCain I know what I will get as a president. With Obama, I’ll get an enigma. Or worse, A Manchurian candidate.
Lastly, here’s the BIGGEST reason to vote McCain — it forces the democratic and republican parties to clean up their respective acts.
Because McCain is in NOBODY’s pocket for the next four years.
Good God. How bloody dense do you have to be to ask? I know you’re a troll but even so…why bother?
OT We had a rally today at a local downtown park. It had been posted for a week or so. The Obamabots have about 4 offices to our 2 set up in our area. They set one up directly across the street from us. Anyway, they saw our announcement for 12 noon and got down there early and took the prime space. We went down the street and had probably 50 people out with signs, flags, etc. The good news is we had plenty of horns honking and thumbs up. I can’t say the bots had more. As per their breeding and good manners, their supporters flipped us off when they did their drive-bys.
They were just as obnoxious in person as they are online. Coming down to our end and holding signs in back of us, trying to provoke confrontations…one of our guys bumped one of their signs when they got in his face and the little bot called 911 and claimed a minor had been assaulted! The one holding the sign said “I am not a MINOR.” Hahahaha. I think he was told to grow up. The PD made regular drive bys and they stayed on their territory after that. They loved to yell “We want Socialism”. All in all a very motley crew of skanks, wannabe hippies and bottom feeders…just your typical Barry supporter.
Looking forward to their total defeat.
For all of the same good reasons people voted for George W. Bush:
McCain will lower their taxes, balance the budget, make America safer, and fight for Truth, Justice, and The American Way, ultimately defeating Cosmic Evil in all of its varied unAmerican forms.
And his opponent is the Boogeyman, same as all of George’s opponents.
Indeed, George Soros’ opponents.
I liken Obama to an onion: one peels layer after layer only to discover a hollow center, a void.
check your email
I liken Obama to The Onion.
Everything he says or does smacks of parody.
The thing is he and his followers are too stupid to see what a joke they are.
Bravo.
I lien him to an easter egg: sleek on the outside, completely hollow and easy to crack.
“I liken him “
Obama also says on the Coal tape the electric will sky rocker under him just played H&C
Just as a side note. Biden went to Tallahassee to give a speech today (Sunday) at FSU. Now we all know that where ever McCain or Palin showed up they get 10K+ people at their rallies. Biden had 2000 people show up to his rally. Now you have to understand that Tallahassee is the only democratic city in north Florida. They have a black college (10,000+ students) there and FSU which has about 40,000+ students and faculty. I am speechless as to why only 2000 people showed up and they are trying to tell us that Sara is a drag on the McCain campaign.
I also remember having heard on TV that the first important decision a president has to make is his VP pick.
After BO chose Joe the Biden I have never heard that again.
I wonder why.
We tried to see Palin in Raleigh yesterday but the crowd was so huge we couldn’t get in. We could just hear the screaming when she was introduced. People had come from miles away. While we were in line I borrowed a cell phone from someone from Goldsboro.
The people there were enthusiastic and wonderfully nice and agreeable. It was heartening to see.
yeah, john, you have to wonder about this! She is packing them in, so I wonder why she is a drag on the ticket, maybe its a drag the other way, the winning finish! LOL!!!
GREAT summary, Ani. I have been less involved in all this than earlier this year and you’ve reminded me of why I so strongly oppose Oblahblah. The polls are wrong, not because of that mythical Bradley Effect, but because of the SilenCED Majority Effect and PUMA. McCain will win.
always remember, whatever obama and his campaign claims, you can bet they’re the ones doing “it” or the ones with the alleged problem. the obama campaign imho is in trouble.
It’s hard, but I’m having to put aside my extreme anger for what the republicans did to Bill Clinton and for republicans rabidly supporting a moron like W. IT’S HARD. But we have this tentative coalition between repubs, indies and PUMAs that can stop an even worse mistake than W. Country first is not just a slogan.
I’m SICK of people saying that if Obama is elected, we’ll have the economic policies of Clinton. WRONG. That would be true if it was Hillary.
Obama is no Clinton damnit!!
Yeah, if we wanted Clinton policies, we could have elected the real McCoy. Instead, we’ll have to settle for the real McCain.
My god higher electricity bills, more taxes, higher food prices and so on wow we should be all happy to live with all this new progress under the new Obama administration.
Its only patriotic and it would be very selfish of all of us if we refuse, so show me where I can vote on the dotted line.
Remember Obama is not only going to change this country he is going to change the WORLD!!!!
Ani, thank you. An eloquent summary of this whole cycle and year. Thank you for all your work here at NQ.
Testing icons!
:tears:

:joy:
Thank you. I am sure it is true for all of us that some days are tougher than others especially regarding the debacle that is this election season — the support of NoQ and our readers helps more than you know.
The best reason not to vote for Obama is his character.
His character shows that he is a liar, an opportunist, a charlatan, possibly corrupt, and definitely only out for himself.
Example?: Name THREE things he has done to better the lives of others or be a positive mentor to his family, his constituents, his peers, or his profession.
Stumped?
So is everyone else, including Obots!
But he is so perdy and was the editor of the school paper but never wrote anything and has executive experience overlooking something he botched up so bad he can’t even put it on his resume! And he is so eloquent when he “borrowed” the words of Deval! And that book he “wrote” that looks like Ayers wrote it! And his “historic speech” that he had to give to try and weasel his way out of his 20 years with the racist pastor! What is wrong with you Buzz!
I just never bellied up to the kool-aid bar. I prefer a grey goose and tonic.
Well, tuesday he has the chance to better the lives of all of us.
By disappearing forever.
Ups, that would also not be something HE has done.
But we will.
Wishful thinking. Obama lavishes the praise, prostration and adulation of his Obots. Regardless of what happens on Tuesday, he’ll try to stay in the limelight until he’s locked up for criminal behavior. Or maybe he’ll go back to Kenya or Singapore since he doesn’t really like America anyway.
Compared to BO, JM looks like a savior.
There are a millions reasons why Mac’s better.
The deception and selling of BO goes on.
The endorsements - he uses Warren Buffet and Colin Powell in his Hopey Changey ad I saw on USA network.
I want to scream, they are not running, the little thug is! And if they were running they would not get my vote either!
This ad was followed by an ad for MSNBC election coverage. NO WAY, NO HOW, NO MSNBC! The MSM makes me want to take a bath, they are so dirty!
Great Post!
Barack Obama has no real conviction. He is constantly changing his policies and stances from one day to the next. He says whatever he thinks the particular group he is addressing wants to hear. I liken him to a leaf in the wind that goes whichever way the wind blows. But you know what happens to leaves…they eventually end-up in the gutter.
ESPN just ran a commercial that Boomer will interview both candidates during half time tomorrow night.
Should be good.
I’m a Republican but at least energy prices were low under Clinton. Under Obama, they will be astronomical that we’ll plunge into a recession. I can see California in play as a result of the electricity comment. I’m in Arizona and we are always hearing about the rolling blackouts during the summer and their desire hook up to the Arizona power system.
Here is one huge lesson I have learned: I used to be a Democrat until the party elders and Der Precious criminalized the election. I am voting for the other party because it is the better choice at this time. I hope you will consider voting for the other party in the future if that candidate is the better choice.
Galt, I will never have anything to do with the DNC until this corruption ends. We all know what is going on in that party and it doesn’t belong in America. I believe the bi-partisan system causes more problems than it is worth. Like all of the crazy party loyalists who are voting for Obama when they know what a disaster he will be. They won’t cross party lines. I am thrilled, on the other hand, that more people this year seem to be crossing party lines to our side than I have ever seen. I was a registered Indie until three months ago. After I saw the voter fraud committed towards Hillary. I think the Dems need to cause a revolt and get their party back. The honest ones. Otherwise I hope that party destructs and is burned to the ground so it can be rebuilt as the party of the people it is supposed to be. It sure as HELL isn’t the party of the PEOPLE now.
JFK, RFK and Truman must be rolling over in their graves about the demise of the Democratic Party. It once was a party of principles and values. Now it’s a group of sexist thugs, beholden to kooky special interests like the ACLU. How ironic–the Dem party is actually anti-civil liberties. They terrorizing and censor anyone who doesn’t fall in line with them, like Hillary supporters. Disgusting!!
I’m so happy to be out of that party and now an official member of the Republican Party. Plus I don’t get that crap in the mail from the DNC, the O-Criminal campaign, the ACLU and the rest of the kooks.
Maybe I shouldn’t say I’m a Republican, maybe I should say I lean Republican because one should never commit themselves to a party to such an extent that it would harm the country. I think we all need to examine our commitments to the party system and see where it has gotten us: debt, war, and corruption. BOTH PARTIES. COUNTRY FIRST, PARTY SECOND OR THIRD.
You got it! Country first!
McGalt…How are you?
This election will be decided by the
FDR/Reagan/Clinton/McCain democrats who decide every election.
Dean,Pelosi,Brazille, and Obama have discounted us as obsolete like old style industries they want to tax and shut down.
One group I left out of this equation Puma’s
Hey McMoss! I’m fine and dandy and you? Yeah PUMAs rock!
Yes, please Seattle Moss. Don’t forget the PUMAs. We’ve been in major revolt since the fradulant primaries and the DNC’s decision to steal the nomination from Hillary Clinton. Had things worked differently, I would be voting for Hillary but not worried if John McCain won the election [frankly, I don't think that would have happened, anymore than we'd be having a horse race at this late date].
But as the ensuing months of the GE have whirled on, I found voting for McCain was more than a protest vote.
I voted “for” McCain. He is/was the only legitimate candidate on the ballot. And he’s actually grown on me. I’ll never agree with him 100%, but I agree enough. And I trust him as being fully prepared to take the office and oath of the POTUS. That trust factor is important to me and a whole slew of citizens.
McGalt…What has happened to the democrat party runs deeper than one election and the criminal behavior exhibited to all.
The democrats as we speak are being labeled as anti-American,anti-business,anti-worker and anti-woman..
I believe that the vast majority of Americans will walk away from the democrats and never look back.
Hillary will fix the party assuming a win from Mac. What’s left of the party will beg her to bring the PUMAs back. I’ll go back if the party cleans house.
Not me–I’m out for good. Though if Hillary runs for president again, I will vote for her. Still love those Clintons.
I’m going to remain non committed so I can vote for whichever candidate I feel will do the best job, regardless of party. I’ve found in this election that neither party fully defines my beliefs. A lot of the things I onced believed were nothing but lies. This year we’re just having state level elections and all three of the republicans running in my district are moderate so it will be easy to vote for them. I’m not voting for any Democrats this year though.
Yeah, I still love those Clintons too!
I know they aren’t perfect, but I never had any doubts about whether or not they would actually work to help American people, I know without a doubt that they actually do love this country, and I know without a doubt that they are the TRUE DEMOCRATS
Excellent article! Barack Obama is a pathological liar which may be the most unsettling aspect of this candidate and his campaign. Should Axelrod’s Trojan Horse candidate win the election, this house of cards will come tumbling down faster than you can say “con artist” which is what BO is and what the DNC has become. This man’s pack of lies could fill a book! I’m flabbergasted that anyone at this stage could still be supporting such a flimflam artist.
Wonder if there is any legal recourse that can be taken at a later date against the DNC and the MSM for acting in collusion to pawn off this corrupt Chicago pol upon voters as a legitimate choice? No surprise a number of female BO campaign insiders have jumped ship just over the past week. These women left because they’d had enough of Barack Obama’s sexist campaign. Wonder when potential voters will have had enough of this man’s lies, deception, arrogance, and smugness? Hopefully that will happen in time for these to vote McCain-Palin on Tuesday.
I do believe when OHitler loses that there should be some fraud charges against the DNC because of what they did to Hillary with the voter fraud, as well as the fact that OHitler isn’t eligible and they didn’t properly vet the nutcase. I hope this is the end of Howard Dean. He’s another one I long ago stopped being able to even look at. What a scumbag.
Donna too. She’s been as big of a disgrace as Dean.
Well done Ani.
Don’t like socialism, eh? Okay, let’s start by getting rid of Social Security and Medicare. Let old Mom and Dad and Gramma and Granmpa eat cat food and die in the poorhouse, and we can all join them there when it’s our turn. And unemployment checks when you lose that job you’re about to lose? Tough luck, guys. Oh, and you can start paying for your kids’ school, too, while you’re at it. Try going to Canada, or Europe, and actually SEE how good and how AVAILABLE their medical coverage is before you pat yourselves on the back. We’ve been fed a pack of lies for years about that demon, “socialized medicine,” while many of our children starve and too many die young in the richest country in the world. That is obscene, by anybody’s standards.
[Administrator: Julie, I happen to agree with you. Thing is, Obama's health care proposal is awful, especially compared to Hillary's or John Edwards'. And some of Obama's top economic advisers are PRO-privatization of Social Security. But the Democrats didn't let those "inconvenient truths" get in the way of their infatuation. Besides, Nancy Pelosi wants someone less experienced and less knowledgeable so that she can more easily manipulate him. I won't erase this comment, but we're a family here, and we prefer the company of those who appreciate our difficult situation. So, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it, or you'll be gone.]
You’re describing an “Obamanation.”
Yes, it’s obscene. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen. How about we give someone who loves this country a shot? At least his intentions would be good.
McCain is out to protect SSI and Medicare and his health plan actually does that - read the WSJ for a review as well as Consumer Reports.
Whereas Obama has an one of his senior economic policy advisors, Austan Goolsbee, a man who wants to privatize Social Security. Do your research.
Obama and Biden also voted twice for the bridge to nowhere but voted against aid to Katrina victims.
Sound the the great, benificent leader you have been led to believe in?
He talks a good game but walking the walk is something he has no clue about.
Well said Ani. As always.
Obama has close advisers who are part of the Chicago School of Economics — Milton Friedman disciples. Naomi Klein — “Shock Doctrine” goes into detail why Milton Friedman’s style Free Market dogma is a farce.
In countries that used the Chicago way — the middle class shrunk to a tiny fraction of what it once was — and the country was worse off then before Friedman’s boys tried their bag of tricks.
Basically Obama doesn’t have a clue about much of anything.
But the trolls will come out of the wood work and defend “the ONE” no matter what he says or does. It is always entertaining to see his followers try to clean up Obama’s messes.
Julie -
What a ridiculous argument -
Not even the most evil of Republicans wish to eliminate any of the programs you mention and saying that any of one them are good examples of Socialism is absurd.
As to the great socialized medicine available in Canada and Europe, you can have it. No, seriously.
If you wish to take advantage of all of the wonders of Socialism, please do us all a favor and be on your way.
Have fun with your sub-par care and your exorbitant taxes!
TROLL
GFY
You don’t know what you are talking about. Social security wasnt a “socialist” program until the dems raided it. And you are mistaken about European (and I suspect canadian health care). Have you ever lived in these places, because I have and every one I talked to and every thing I saw said stay out of state run hospitals.
Don’t talk out your butt just repeating liberal (Michael Moore) lies like you know what you are talking about.
“Try going to Canada, or Europe, and actually SEE how good and how AVAILABLE their medical coverage is before you pat yourselves on the back. We’ve been fed a pack of lies for years about that demon, “socialized medicine,” while many of our children starve and too many die young in the richest country in the world”
It is obvious you have never lived in a country that provides socialized medicine, in Europe at least, otherwise you would not use the adjectives “good” and “available”. Good, just hope you aren’t a victim of malpractice ’cause your recourse will be close to zero…available, just hope you don’t need special care or surgery fast…if you want good health care in Europe, you take the socialized medicine care and buy private insurance as well. Bottom line, a two tier system ’cause most Europeans can’t afford the private insurance.
Don’t look to outside models to solve the problem in the US, the solutions here needs to be endogenous.
julie, as much as i hate to reply to you, i feel compelled to do so. honestly, i don’t think what people are worried about is socialism. i don’t. i think what they feel in their guts is the threat of communism. look, this is a nation where the vast majority of citizens think we live in a democracy. you tell them we’re actually a republic and you get the glazed eye stare. perhaps they aren’t using the a proper description, but i’m telling you, it doesn’t matter what name you want to call what obama wants to do to our country, the fact is WHATEVER it is scares the crap out of the average person.
personally, as a fiscally conservative (former) dem, i truly believe this country can afford low taxes, universal health care, a strong military, excellent low-cost education and social security. WTF you say? i believe it’s true. we can have it all, but not if every stinkin’ politician is skimming off the top of our taxes. unless and until we citizens DEMAND that these public SERVANTS serve US, and that OUR money is NOT THEIRS… unless and until we start behaving as a country and not as a land mass populated with individuals looking for “MINE” (read: pork), we cannot do those things. i am appalled at the way local and national government wastes money. some bright-eyed idea doesn’t work? instead of fixing it or eliminating it, they raise our taxes or create new taxes and throw more money at it. my first impulse is to say they wouldn’t do that with their own money, but… i’m actually not convinced of that.
i do believe a strong country (or company for that matter), can and should if possible, with sound economic policies and prudent budgeting offer its citizens and employees benefits to make them happier, healthier and more productive citizens/employees. i do not, however, believe it should be compulsory. in the sixties when the economy was booming and employees were in short demand, companies became more competitive with benefits. they offered insurance, retirement, vacation and other benefits in a way to lure potential employees from other companies, or keep employees from going elsewhere. the government did not dictate those benefits. and it was a feather in the cap for an employee to land a job with a good company that offered all of the above. and… once that plum job was secured, employees rarely left.
it’s called competition and capitalism in a free-market society. obviously things have changed, however… i do believe over the years people have lost sight of why we have social security and medicare. it was always meant as a safety net, not your sole means of retirement. i am pretty certain, however, that ss was never intended to be the nation’s piggy bank to rob at will.
from my eclectic political world view, i still contend that what people fear about obama is that what he wants for this country is seriously unamerican. call it what you want, i call it communism.
Gas is $1.98 a gallon where I live and I have to drive alot. I am going to fill up my truck on Monday and will drive home 100 miles on Wednesday. The gas will be back up to $5.00 a gallon if Bambi gets elected! I think he is going to lose, at least I pray that he does not win!
julie, sounds like you drank the koolaid. McCain isn’t going to get rid of social security, he said so today! Those are lies told by the left wingnuts that are for Obama the cheater!
I think she has an IV going.
Oh, I see how this forum. Call Obama Hitler, but delete all the less than favorable comments about McCain! What the heck, it’s your slimepit. Do what you want. But McCain will STILL lose, because most people in this country have finally got his number and know what a fraud and a liar he is, about his record, his war service, etc. A year from now, most of you will be very happy Obama is president, and sort of “forget” you ever voted for McCainn/Palin.
If it’s so slimy and horrendous, then why are you here? Go back to your Koolaid.
Julie,
McCain is not going to lose. You best start figuring out how you’re going to deal with it.
I feel a tiny bit sorry for you. The media set you up for a heartbreak - bigtime. Like all people who have been sucked in by a con, it can be devastating…
We can all reflect on our comparitive levels of delusional thinking first thing Wednesday morning.
Julie…I have said this from the beginning and I will say it again…you Obama supporters have no knowledge of who either candidate is. NOR do you wish to edumacate your loser selves. Perhaps you think that people being on the dole is a good idea. It’s never worked anywhere and never will. What makes this country great is that we ALREADY have the opportunities, care and protection for anyone who wants to take advantage of it. We’re not perfect, but America hating freaks like you should go live somewhere else where you will be happy. We will be happy to send your commie azz a ticket to Cuba and drive you to the airport. Maybe we can get group rates for all the America haters who are threatening to burn America to the ground Wednesday morning. You don’t belong here with decent, hardworking, America loving patriots.
Wow! You said it! Those of us who are diehard Americans have this idea that you should have to earn what you get. Some of us don’t want handouts. (sidenote: what happens to kids of rich people - everything handed to them? ever seen Less than Zero? it’s not pretty). That’s rich people… generations on welfare is even sadder.
Does anyone really believe that a CEO who pulls in a $10 million bonus has worked harder than two parents holding down three jobs, who still can’t manage to pay all the monthly bills and afford to take their kids to the doctor?
Your economic arguments against the Democrats are a bunch of BS.
The stock market, the economy and frankly fiscal responsiblity have all been better under democrat rule. On a per capita basis Reagan had the highest deficit in U.S. history followed by Bush. Reagan also increased taxes when the economy was weak.
The Republicans are the worst on fiscal policy. They only have one wedge issue, which is lower taxes. Taxes are a bogeyman, which really don’t make much of a difference to the economy.
I suggest if you do not want to pay taxes then go live somewhere else. And don’t use the roads, the airports, the agricultural products, etc. If we left everything in the hands of only for-profit business, this country would even be in a more sorry state. There are no true free markets and it is funny that the biggest free marketers of all, Wall Street, needs a government bail-out.
Frankly, nobody real cares about taxes. It is just a bogeyman created by the Republican party. It is just a wedge issue.
Republican economic policies have been a failure.
And to call Obama a socialist is a bunch of BS. There is absolutely no evidence that Obama or the Democrats have and will make bad decisions on the economy. They did not run the deficit up, drive the dollar down, create record trade deficits, push the stock market down, etc. etc. It has been the policies of your beloved Republcian party over the last 8 years. Bush and the Republicans have been a total economic failure and disaster. Unless you are rich, you are not better off. Your real income has shrunk, your 401K is down, and you may lose your job in the next year. Blame your Republicans for that.
Time for a change in direction.
Joe Biden said a year from now that Obama would be tanking in the polls and he would need the support of the money supporters. He said the American public would think what he was doing was “wrong”.
I’m thinking Biden knows more about what’s going on than Julie does.
Well, I hope for you you’re not a student, because that Education credit BO proposes comes with mandatory community service, including in the military. Hope you like getting shot at in Sudan.
A kool-aid IV and oxygen. Obama/socialism is on it’s last gasp.
A very pro Obot blog endorsing Obama I have watched over the past year has gone dead silent since last Thursday. Not one response… from the Obots.
Hey, that’s sort of the point, guys. Try reading a litle instead of ranting. McCain won’t get rid of Social Security OR Medicare because they’re invaluable social programs that we all need…and they’re BOTH examples of socialism at its simplest and best, by the way.
It’s not a dirty word. Jesus loved it, and practiced it, and we seem to like him…a lot.
Good night. Hope you all enjoy Tuesday night. I wouldn’t miss it for the world!!!
“examples of socialism at its simplest and best”…what would socialism at its most complex and at its worst be?
“It’s not a dirty word. Jesus loved it, and practiced it, and we seem to like him…a lot”…you are really fucked up. Do you realize that communist and socialist countries are either Godless or secular in 80%+ of its population? So, if Jesus loved and practiced socialism, why do socialist not love him and practice his teachings?
QUIT USING YOUR ASSCHEEKS FOR EAR MUFFS.
Loud enough for ya?
Jesus told people they were blessed when they gave VOLUNTARILY!
I absolutely hate dumbshits who come in here and can’t even write their own material.
Take your socialist shitheaded opinions and find the most uncomfortable way you can to shove them up past your head and into your ass.
Go be a grasshopper in Canada. Wait in line for the doctor and then find out its cheaper to kill ya!
Social Security OR Medicare because they’re invaluable social programs that we all need…and they’re BOTH examples of socialism at its simplest and best, by the way.
There’s a difference when you set a few things to benefit the masses vs government dictating what’s best for all the masses. Japan has similar SS benefits as well as medical benefits. Know anything about Denmark sweetie? Free medical, education, spreading that wealth around at a cost of 40%-70% income tax.
The government took money out of every one of the paychecks I received my whole life for the purpose of providing Social Security and Medicare benefits when I reached retirement age. Now I receive Social Security based on the length of time I worked and what I paid in. I receive the Medicare Part A benefit based on my work history. I pay a good sized premium for Medicare Part B every month, a premium that increases every year. Besides Part A and B, I also pay a monthly premium for a private Medicare supplement health insurance policy to help pay for the care that Medicare A and B do not cover. It also has increased significantly every year.
Besides those, I am forced to pay for the Medicare Part D prescription insurance policy by the government. It only covers part of my medicines while dictating what pharmacy I can use and which medicines I can have. If I didn’t purchase Part B and prescription insurance when I became eligible the gov. would have heavily penalized me at a later time if I needed to purchase them.
Besides the premiums for all these rising every year, the co-payments increase and the benefits decrease. As for routine eyecare and glasses and dental care, I am on my own. No gov. help.
I cannot deny that Medicare and Social Security are programs that are beneficial retirement programs. But, to say that they are socialism at its simplest and best is pure ignorance. If it was as you believe, there would not be people who have to choose between purchasing food to eat or purchasing medical care.
Sorry OT, but this needs exposure. The PUMA factor.
THE MCCAIN-PALIN LANDSLIDE

Ani, I could not have imagined it, but you did it.
Your “closing argument” is actually a long lost draft of a play Shakespeare wrote. At least I think it is.
So my compliment to you is that your in good company. The tragic and the absured that he captured, you captured as well.
Seriously, did you ever think in your life time you would bear witness to such a play?
Not I…
.
Gallup’s final poll is the most atrocious poll I have ever seen!!! It says the following things that are almost certainly false:
12% more Dems than Repubs
More Indies than Repubs
Obama is ahead by 11%
Obama is getting 91% of Dems
FALSE. Gallup is no longer credible.
One of the very few good things about this election and polling is that lots of people can now read and understand polls.
Over sampling is a real problem — and I have to believe that the pollsters are doing this deliberately. Once or twice this might be an honest error.
But I now believe that this is a deliberate effort to deceive and manage the outcome.
The pollsters were so far off with Clinton — in New Hampshire, then California (off by 10 points at least) and the rest of the states.
I no longer believe polls.
It always makes me laugh when I hear people boost Obama’s “experience” by pointing to his “well-oiled” political machine. The idea that Barack Obama runs his campaign is about the same as saying Elvis Presley ran his career. The person running Obama’s campaign is David “Colonel Tom Parker” Axelrod.
The real Messiah shunned Satan, he didn’t make him is right-hand man!
We talk to hundreds of people a day at our local business and not one is voting for Obama. No one wants people who think like this in charge of anything. The majority here are Hispanic and they are adamantly against him. No one trusts him, no one believes him, and no one is buying his ‘change’.
Speaking of Hillary supporters, some one changed the PUMA wiki listing today to include the words ‘racist commitee’. It’s been fixed, but it still shows up in Google’s cache(5th item down):

When I hear Obama and Biden doing a speech, ALL I HEAR IS BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!!!!!!
MCCAIN/PALIN ALL THE WAY
Thank you, Ani. I have been so severly depressed the last two weeks, I have found myself frowning most of the time and wondering why I care so much. Thanks to your post, I remember all the reasons why I voted for McCain and why it is so important to be involved. It’s almost over, finally, and whatever the outcome, you should be proud of your posts and attemps to inform. Truth to power has never been as vital as at this moment in history. If Obama wins, the voices of those who recognized and told the truth will live longer than all the vicious attacks heaped on them. Over the last few months, I’ve read a lot of the words of the founders of our country and they are beautiful and what they wanted to create in this democracy has become precious to me. I am angry there are Americans who care more for power than preserving the power of the Constitution. It has more value than any political party or individual.
Elisa,
Glad I stopped by to check in. Thank you for your kind words and for your involvement.
Beautiful.
Ah Elise!
We are here for each other, sis. When you get down and I think there are times when we all can, that’s when you come here for a jolt of the good stuff!
The Polls are wrong! They do not take into consideration the PUMA’s effect to the Democrats stats.
Go back up the thread and find the link which breaks this down. I did the math when the PUMA’s first did a head count and declared that 60% of former Hillary supporters were going for McCain. I immediately started doing ‘down-side’ estimates… (lowballing any number which might indicate an overly favorable outcome for our side) and it still came out that the PUMA effect is real. It is tangible. AND IT WILL WIN US THE ELECTION!
Have faith…
Thank you, Ani, for an absolutely right-on post. You’ve nailed it once again.
OFF TOPIC SHORT(ish) PEP TALK!
PUMA’s and associated friends,
I want to take just a short moment to tell you guys something which will be very important in the next few days… and then in History.
There are times in Human History where measurable numbers of people combine their efforts to accomplish something which still rings in the hearts of free people. Actions taken by a few which shake the actual framework of what might have been.
Standing against “inevitability” has more than once become a turning point in societies.
We, the Americans who stand united against a subversive, deceitful enemy… We, the people, who place the love of our country above any selfish standard…
We, the people who believe in freedom, not socialism, in free markets, not Marxism are going to matter more now than ever in our lives. We are going to stop a lying criminal from stealing our country from us all.
And we are going to do it at the ballot box!
Keep the Faith! Help get the vote out.
WE SHALL PREVAIL!
“Don’t like socialism, eh? Okay, let’s start by getting rid of Social Security and Medicare.”
Just playing with words, like the liar Obama. When Americans denounce socialism, we’re not talking about Social Security, Medicare and public education. Socialists were kicked out of the Labor movement, kicked out of the Civil Rights Movement, where they were recognized as opportunists.
Socialism is a power play by ultra-leftist parasites who try to exploit social causes as pathways to power. To the socialist, social problems are ‘opportunities.’ The true goal of socialism is totalitarian power.
The harshest condemnation of socialism comes not from conservatives, but from progressives. Like George Orwell, Richard Wright, Ralph Ellison, Whitaker Chambers–the list goes on and on–based on their first-hand experience of the hypocrisy of communism.
FINALLY, I find something that I can copy and paste (with attribution, as well as I can to Ani and NoQuarter) and send to EVERYONE I know.
The souls lost in the rapture won’t read past the headline. But, the others, who knows.
I’m very, very impressed. Reading this, every time I had a thought jump into my head, it showed up in the next sentence or paragraph.
If the
ThreeFour Blind Mice (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN) and their pals would read this, I think the tingle up their leg might turn, if there’s any justice in this world, into a hot poker in a place the sun never visits. Or, who knows, they might say, “Gee, we didn’t know all that, he really sounds like a really, really, bad candidate. Who knew?”Obama supports amnesty for Illegal Mexicans but could not say the same for his Aunt Z. What a phony.
Are we not a nation of laws when it comes to illegal Mexican immigrants too?
Why is it such a big deal to not have all the experience in the world? I don’t get it. Palin has very little experience, so why is she qualified to be the president then?
Also, experience for the sake of experience really means nothing.
What is more important is direction.
Time to turn the page and have a fresh start. That is more important. To take a new direction. The Republican party have had their turn for the last 8 years, really longer than that if you consider they have really held most of the power for the last 30 years.
Time to give someone else a chance to run the country. This country deserves and needs a new direction.
You will wake up on Wednesday morning or in a year from now and the sky will not have fallen!
And you, I fear, the self same people who tout him now, one year from now will be complaining the loudest when he disappoints you.
You will miss no opportunity to scream out every failure. I have seen this before, too.
The Democrats have a pretty good track record. The country ran pretty well under Clinton. I am not worried. Time for a change in government.
There are some very good leaders in the democratic party right now. I wish I could say the same about the Republican party.
It will be fun to watch the Republican party re-invent inself. There will be the struggle between the Palin contingent and the traditional fiscal Republicans. Commentators on this website seem to be more in the Palin contignent. Good luck fighting for control of your party.
I don’t see the leadership in the Democratic party.
I see the cronyism, old-style politics, and really a complete break from the public.
I don’t see a solid change in the Republicans, either. McCain/Palin….yes. The rest? No.
So I think the parties are at a stalemate in that respect.
Thinking that this man resembles Clinton in any way shape or form is the biggest piece of nonsense I have ever heard. Just ask Obama — he spent the entire primnary trashing Bill Clinton’s record.
Guess he didn’t think it was that good. And if you did — whyever would you have betrayed him and Hillary to vote for Obama.
The inevitable is upon us people . Accept it . Stop grasping at straws and hoping for something that will not be . There is not enough of you turncoats to influence a roach race . Buck up and suck it u p …
And yet you are here to influence our roach race.
That says a lot more about you than it says about us.
