Episode One: Obama’s Aunt, Zeituni Onyango, is found living in a Boston slum, in state funded public housing.
Episode Two: Obama’s Aunt is found to be living here illegally, and was issued a deportation order 4 years ago.
Episode Three: Obama’s campaign has accepted funds from his Aunt, which is illegal. Once caught, Obama refunds her money. (Kind of like Rezko, huh?)
Episode Four: Obama denies knowing that his Aunt is living here illegally. And when asked if she should be deported, Obama’s campaign said he obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed.
“If she is violating laws, those laws have to be obeyed,” Obama said. “We’re a nation of laws.
“Obviously that doesn’t lessen my concern for her,” he added. “I haven’t been able to be in touch with her. But I’m a strong believer you have to obey the law.”
Tonight’s episode: Obama lied about knowing his Aunt is here illegally. Obama apparently (snark) isn’t THAT strong of a believer in obeying the law….
Obama’s campaign staff knew about Obama’s aunt’s immigration status and they were actively monitoring her for the campaign. So was MA Governor Deval Patrick’s people (remember the guy Obama *borrowed* his “just words” speech from?).
“Senior aides to Sen. Barack Obama and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick were aware that Obama’s aunt, Zeituni Onyango, was living in the United States illegally and in a South Boston public-housing project, and were monitoring her at the request of senior Obama campaign officials, according to a current employee for Obama’s key political consulting firm, AKP&D Message and Media.
Back in early 2007, as Obama’s chief campaign strategist David Axelrod was organizing and planning the Obama campaign, he identified Obama’s unique family situation—a number of half-brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, some living overseas—as a potential problem, says an employee for Axelrod’s political consulting firm, and who has done work on the Obama campaign. “Given [Obama’s] father’s family history here and in Africa, David wanted the campaign to know who was who, where they lived, and what they were doing. No surprises. We knew she was here illegally. We knew her income levels, but I don’t think anyone from the campaign had had contact with her.”

“While the South Boston housing project is managed by the Boston Housing Authority, it is a state-funded facility, according to the BHA press office, and so it would not be uncommon for state housing officials to be on the grounds or in the area. “Patrick was the go-between, he’s trusted by David and Senator Obama,” says the aide.
In fact, Patrick spent most of the past two or three days stumping for Obama up and down the East Coast. His and Obama’s relationship goes back a couple of decades, and the two actually represented ACORN together in a civil suit back in 1993. Some Republican political operatives believe that Patrick and his political team have been cutouts for un-reported cash distributed to ACORN officials around the country for Democrat “get out the vote” projects.”
Well, isn’t that special? Typical Obama: avoid, deny, lie. And how coincidental that she is living in MA. I guess this explains how she obtained public funded housing, since she is illegal, and all.

No investigation into why she is living in public funded housing, why they were protecting her, why Obama was lying about it or why Obama keeps accepting illegal donations? Nope, just why their illegal secret was leaked. (and still nothing about the attacks on Joe the Plumber?)

This is another perfect example of how his protective cocoon has prevented the few responsible journalists out there from asking him questions about things like this, such as “Is it true your campaign was monitoring Auntie, etc.?” But since THE ONE has no pressers, he never has to answer anything. I made calls today and most people I spoke with in NV had already voted for McCain/Palin.
In most states an election can’t even be recounted unless the total is within 1/2 percent. I think the states in question will be won by several percent so there will be nothing that can be done legally.

I’m just amazed that this story from a mainstream magazine (the Spectator)and confirmed by an Axelrod employee doesn’t even make the news anywhere. Forget the whole background story and all it says about Obama. The fact that he just flat-out lied to the press about this a few days ago (incl. Katie Couric) and today his own campaign staff is confirming that he lied with no explanation as to why he lied to the press.
Why isn’t Katire Couric mad, and asking him for a comment? I know the MSM is in the tank, but usually when a top news anchor is lied to to their face on national TV and it’s proven to be so the next day, he/she has a healthy enough ego to at least ask for a comment/explantion from Obama. What country is this anymore? I don’t recognize it.

-source of all his campaign contributions
-state senate papers

-accounting of what he did in NY from 1983-1985 (besides having many bi-sexual relationships, allegedly even with Ayers himself)
-explanation as to why he hasn’t paid Rezko back for the amount of money rezko overpaid for the lot in order to compensate fopr him buying the house at $300K below market value/asking price. Even after the indictment and calling it a “bone headed” move, all he’s done is purcahse a sliver of the Rezko land back for $100K. If he was really sorry for his bone headed move, than buy back the rest of the land for $200K to wash your hands of the whole thing. He won’t because no one is demanding it.
-explain the $10K he was given after his 2000 House defeat (when he was in serious debt) by a donor so that Obama could get the donor a sizeable state grant. When the donor was investigated for many things, Obama tried to give $5K back to him to protect himself. Yes, it’s a crime, but I’m sure he felt entitled to the “Chicago way”.

One question: If Obama’s grandmother was not struggling because of a hip injury but now we find out she had cancer. Why didn’t Obama take his children to see his grandmother one last time, if he knew what she had was cancer. I have a problem understanding how close and how much his wife cared about his grandmother, when he didn’t take her, or his kids to say farewell….
I think most people that have true family ties, would have taken their entire family.
I disagree, I know my neighbors who are a close, loving family have stopped taking their grandchildren to see their great grandmother. The great grandmother’s memory is foggy, she becomes irritated when there are too many people around her. The children don’t enjoy the visit nor does the great grandmother. My neighbors want their grandchildren to have fond memories of their great grandmother, not as she is now.
If my grandmother was in the final stages of cancer, I wouldn’t take children to see her either unless she requested it and I thought the children could handle it. The final stages of cancer is horrifying for adults to see, it has to be much more difficult for children.
I think Senator Obama has made many mistakes and I find it difficult not to criticize him. However, his decisions on what is best for his children and grandmother, are his decisions that should be a private family matter and not open to examination and critique by the public. The same as Governor Palin’s decisions about her children and their issues are not open to our examination and critique.
