Thank you very much for the show. It’s really very appreciated. I have come to think of NQ and the posters here as my friends, my support and a lot of my hope for the future. Regardless of what happens NQ and the PUMAS will go on. We’re not anywhere near done with Barky and the Socialists who have temporarily hijacked our party. The support on NQ is most excellent. Thank you a million times Susan and Larry. You guys are heros in my book.

OT … ABC News announced that Obama’s maternal grandmother has died. No link.

Comment by bell'artista | 2008-11-03 16:43:56

I just heard this on Sean Hannity
that she died of cancer….

I thought she had a hip replacement….even stranger that M & kids didn’t go.

Maybe it’s true…I just don’t know, this is what happens when a pathological liar runs for POTUS

I am sorry for his Grandmother and anyone who cared about her.

Comment by shannon | 2008-11-03 16:51:25

I’m not buying it. It’s too convient. I think she probably died a few weeks ago. It’s just too convient timing. Now he will pull the “pity me” card and shed a few tears on TV.

CNN is eating it up….

Comment by Joe | 2008-11-03 17:01:47

Congratulations – it only took the wingnutosphere 12 minutes to come up with a conspiracy therory over the death of Obama’s grandmother.

Comment by shannon | 2008-11-03 18:01:59

Where the hell have you been? There was much discussion here when Obama went for his final visit a few weeks ago. Several people predicted this very scenario.

Obama’s grandmother dies 2 days before election
By Herbert Sample | The Associated Press
5:10 PM EST, November 3, 2008

HONOLULU – Barack Obama’s grandmother, whose personality and bearing shaped much of the life of the Democratic presidential contender, has died, Obama announced today, 1 day before the election. Madelyn Payne Dunham was 86.

Obama announced the news from the campaign trail in Charlotte, N.C. The joint statement with his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng said Dunham died peacefully late Sunday night after a battle with cancer.

Comment by FenelonSpoke | 2008-11-03 17:02:12

Tumby-

A lot of information goes on on this website that has and had nothing to do with with a “whitey tape” and I can assure that people voting on here noting voting for Obama are not voting because of a supposed whity tape. I have been reading about Obama for a year. I know lots about Obama, and that’s why this 30 year Democrat will never vote for him. NEVER.

And I doubt that even if Obama were to win this site would fade into irrelevance. It would become the opposition to Obama. Unless of course, you were suggesting that the faux Messiah and his brown shirts would try to shut it down? That’s possible, of course, but some of us wopuld go kicking and screaming first. Even if faux Messiah wins, there are lot of us who will be watching Obama and won’t be worshipping the faux messiah.

Comment by cookiegramma | 2008-11-03 16:43:06

Fox is reporting the same. I wonder how much sympathy vote this will gain for him? Not to seem cold, but he is still not qualified to fill the job.

Comment by Galt, Master Thrall of Planet Triskelion | 2008-11-03 16:44:49

Sympathy vote? Not enough to win the election. RIP to his grandmother.

Comment by Lizzie Struthers | 2008-11-03 16:53:53

Comment by Ferd McBerfle | 2008-11-03 17:16:11

She probably couldn’t abide her grandson’s lying any more. The only one I feel pity for is her.

Comment by Andy | 2008-11-03 16:57:08

I am sorry for this lady. By all accounts she was a good and caring human being, raising her grandson.

I dread the MSM coverageof this; exploiting it ad infinitum to suck all the oxygen from the McCain-Palin’s messages and final speeches.

I don’t know if it will change anyone’s vote to become a “sympathy vote” but I assure you that the
bast—s in the MSM will certainly exploit it with that purpose in mind. Gosh…tonight and tomorrow morning it’ll be “avoid radio & TV” at all costs…

One thing is certain: Obama’s family values are lacking…How come he didn’t bring his kids & wife to say farewell to this woman that raised him and presumably means so much to him? How much quality time did Michelle and the girls spet w/Grandma while vacationing in Hawaii last August??

Comment by Grace | 2008-11-03 17:03:54

You don’t bring young children to see their dying grandmother for the exact reasons I was not brought to see mine — young children are tiring when you’re ill, they don’t understand what’s happening, and grandparents often want to be remembered when they were healthy. It’s something I didn’t understand as a child, but when I got older and remembered how proud my grandmother was, I realised that this is what she wanted.

You can’t judge someone else’s family, and you certainly can’t judge someone else’s death. Those children saw their great-grandmother three months ago, when she was healthier, and then their father flew to her bedside when she got ill. There’s no lack of family values here.

Comment by kgirl1028 | 2008-11-03 17:11:57

Obama’s kids are not that young. I like his kids, and they are well mannered, I know people that have held on long enough to simply hear the voice of there grandchildren so they can die peacfully.

Comment by Grace | 2008-11-03 17:36:38

I was Malia’s age when my grandmother died of cancer; I was absolutely outraged later to find out that my 1 year old cousin had been able to see my gran in hospital, but that my sister and I were told she couldn’t have visitors. It turns out that gran just bargained that we’d remember, my cousin wouldn’t.

Everyone’s different.

Comment by gonzotx | 2008-11-03 18:24:38

The Fraud spent 1 hour with his dying GM that raised him. One hour, and MO, well I believe she told us all “she is just doing fine”,

We already know he didn’t spend but a few moments with his dying mother..said how he regretted it, so he carved out 1 hour of his time for the woman that gave up her middle years to raise her daughters son…one hour…

Comment by Andy | 2008-11-03 17:16:25

That you went through this experience does not man it is the norm. I certainly was with my Mom through the very difficult times when both her parents died. And I was just as young as Obama’s lder daughter. And my memories? My memories are the most beautiful ones with my grandparents healthy and cheerful.

Obama’s wife and older daughter are old enough. Besides: how much time did they spend together back in August again??? How many times did Obama fly his granda to Chicago or how many times did he go to Hawaii to spend time with her before last August?? You simply do not kow and if the MSM is to be believed Obama hadn’t been in Hawaii for a very very very long time.
Those are NOT my family values.

C’m on now. I give Obama and his sister my deepest sympathies for the loss of their grandmother; by all accounts a great lady. But spare me the charade and false concern.

Comment by gonzotx | 2008-11-03 18:20:47

Obama never brought his children. it is about respect. It is about giving Grace and growing up

MO is a racist person (see her Thesis), and probably had no feelings for the GM @ all. After all, it is all Whitey’s fault!

The grandmother death is a farse. His grand mother is the only one who know if he was born in Kenya. Mr. Berg yesterday got some ruling on a tape of her admiting he was born in Kenya.

Obama and Alexrod had the hold thing planned. That was the trip to Hawaii…

Comment by anastacia | 2008-11-03 17:43:13

You right wing radicals are absolutely ridiculous. You are just looking for any excuse to bash this man. He has done nothing so terrible for you to come up with such slanderous accusations. Unless you know him personally, you have no right to make personal attacks. If you want to say negative things, say them about his policies, not his character. Also, try to humble yourself a bit more. It’s disgusting to see how the egos of the right wing populace have become so inflated.

Sorry if i don’t weep for your crushed tenderness…i guess the whole Trig is not Sarah Palins baby fiasco and the subsequent hunt for the pregnancy suit pushed by Daily Kos and Milky Glutes Sullivan kind of hardened my heart to you left wing freakazoids…

…That and the Atlantic cover shots of a monkey crapping and pissing on McCain’s head.

A lot of people have died for the same reason as granny – they knew too much.

Comment by Max | 2008-11-03 16:54:11

I personally would not have disclosed this (His Grandmother died) the night before the election. Ok, we are supposed to now vote for him because his grandmother died??? I think not. He is looking for sympathy & to take attention off of his plans to bankrupt the coal industry. IMHO this will backfire. Tells me his internal polls are not looking good.

Comment by Lizzie Struthers | 2008-11-03 17:03:46

I think it’s fishy too.

Comment by Grace | 2008-11-03 17:07:51

Max, something tells me that withholding this information might qualify as an actual cover-up, and thus send conspiracy theorists reeling. So not telling people his grandmother had died would be… bizarre.

A lady died, her survivors sent out an announcement. It’s not very complicated.

Comment by Andy | 2008-11-03 17:19:27

What I find curious is why did they wait to the 6 o’clock news cycle to disclose it? She died between 4 and 5 am EST this morning (according to Politico).

I’ve looked at early-polling data from five swing states in the past half hour and the pattern is now clear : the undecideds are going for McCain 3:1. Coal-gate could bring it up to 4:1. Obots : brace yourselves …..

As for the coal comments, it’s almost as if Obama has put a fatwa on Pennsylvanians. He’s called them bitter, clingy, dumb, racist and now utterly unequipped to deal with their energy needs. It’s almost as if he’s channeling his hatred towards Hillary at Pennsylvanians. It’s like he’s trying to marginalize them and make them irrelevant because he knows that he can’t win them alone.

He’s developed this creepy, almost subliminal hatred of Pennsylvanians.

Comment by DeaninMi | 2008-11-03 17:10:04

……and that’s the reason the ‘bots are flocking to NQ the eve of the election. They’re scared!!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHHA!

Comment by caged | 2008-11-03 23:10:02

No, we’re flocking here because we really could not believe how crass you could be about the death of Obama’s grandmother. To say such awful things and have them not get flagged or banned is unbelievable. I had to see it with my own eyes.

Shine on haters.

“And yet, even as I imagined myself following Malcolm’s [X] call, one line in the book stayed with me. He spoke of a wish he’d once had, the wish that the white blood that ran through him, there by an act of violence, might somehow be expunged.”

~ Barack Obama, “Dreams of my Father”

[This is why Barry went to a Black militant church; married a Black militant and “bitter” wife; and even threw his White grandmother under the bus: his core motivation, since he can’t rid White people from his veins, is to rid them externally instead” as some one commented earlier.

Comment by OBAMA IS A FRAUD | 2008-11-03 17:01:07

Oh my god….I KNEW Obama had some kind of crazy last minute BS up his sleeve. The trip to Hawaii and now his Granny supposedly dies when he needs the votes? I’m sorry to be cynical and I am sorry if this is true. But, come ON. This just reeks of another one of the DNC and Obama Camp Cockroach nonsense tricks and thuggery to get votes. I really do NOT buy this one. I bet she either died weeks ago or something much, much more sinister.

Comment by cookiegramma | 2008-11-03 17:01:12

Sympathies to the Obama family. That said however, the article at politico says that she dies from cancer. Is it just me or was the stated reason for his visit because she had fallen and broken her hip? If this guy ever told the truth about anything it would be a miracle. I feel like it is mean to question here, but wouldn’t every one of his supporters have still voted for him had he spent more time with her and admitted what was really going on? The fact that he found it important to lie about even this makes me question how anyone is ever to believe anything he says.

Comment by trish in SW FL | 2008-11-03 17:15:43

Ummmm excuse me?

Folks with cancer are not at any less risk of breaking a hip than anyone else! More likely, I would think, especially the elderly!

It was known that she had a serious illness, whether the details of the illness were revealed or not!

Those of you attempting to turn the loss of a much loved grandmother into something sinister should be very ashamed of yourselves!

May God bless and comfort Barack Obama and family!

Comment by DeaninMi | 2008-11-03 17:27:20

Much loved by who?

Not by Meechelle, obviously, as she was stumping for her husband while he jetted over to visit granny.

Not by Obama, obviously, or he would have allowed his granny to see her great-grandkids.

Comment by Smudge | 2008-11-04 01:52:12

I’m sure Obama the antichrist and his demon wife and children used their satanic powers to control exactly when “granny” was to pass away from her cancer.

C’mon… seriously? Sure, Obama might have been able to more openly show how important his family values are by putting more into the last visit with her, but wouldn’t that just be seen as another political move? Is everything he does up for scrutiny? We already knew she was ill weeks ago, so it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that she didn’t make it farther than this.

Convenient? Maybe. But, really? A campaign murder, as repulsive and absurd a thought as it already is, would be an absolutely awful “risk” for someone already ahead in the polls.

May Barack Obama’s grandmother rest in peace. However, I will not change my mind about him.

Comment by jeff | 2008-11-03 17:05:26

She broke her hip because she had widespread cancer in the bones. That’s why he went up last week rather than wait until after the election…because it wasn’t clear she would make it that long.
Those calling conspiracy and “LOL” on this are beyond contempt. This is the face of conservatism?

Comment by dswx | 2008-11-03 17:09:12

Very well said. Those who are making fun of this have just given all of us a new definition of the words “immoral values”, “obscene” and “reprehensible”.

1.) We have no way of knowing what the truth is, since we are dealing with a serial liar, Obama. But let us assume for the sake of argument your information is correct about her death and bone cancer.

2.) Not everyone here is looking for a conspiracy and mocking her reported death. In fact, look up thread, I said “RIP” to his grandmother.

3.) This is not a conservative site, there are many views expressed here. Most regulars are modertes who voted for Hillary and now are voting for McCain.

If you are trying to score points on something you claim is negative, by painting us with a broad brush unfairly, you are just as bad as those you are being critical of.

Comment by Buzz McLatte | 2008-11-03 17:12:32

NO, this is the face of those not influenced by anything that Obama says or does. If Granny has died, may she rest in peace.

But to promote bigotry and hatred for the sake of your evil party and your sulfuric white skin is justification for eternal wailing and gnashing of teeth!!

Wow are you people freaks. But there are so many of you nutjobs out today that I can only believe it’s because no matter what Obama is going to lose. I don’t think playing the sympathy card this late is going to protect your troll jobs. Oh well.

Christ or do you mean Obama?

Maybe you should think about one of the real tragedies of the situation here. The world lost this woman this week, but not before her beloved grandson called her a racist in front of the world.
Where is your compassion for the woman who raised her daughter’s biracial son only to be called a ‘typical white’ person for political gain?

How sad for that to be the final characterization of her. Do you believe she did not know?

And now you demand compassion and family values be applied to Obama. Thanks for your concern.

Wow!

Now that’s one ^^^^ screwed up Obot!!!

Not only does this one think he knows the mysteries of God and the Universe, he thinks he can read minds and hearts!

I’m not religious, but is this one of those “the devil has many disguises” kind of things?

Sulfuric white skin????

I keep saying if Obama wins a lot of Media houses like FOX and maybe some of these blogs better watch out.

Menendez threatens Cavuto on Fox
Fox News Live | 11/3/08

Sen. Menendez was just on Fox on Cavuto’s show. Cavuto took Menendez to the woodshed regarding Obama’s insane plan to raise taxes by over a trillion dollars to pay for the already announced Reid-Pelosi-Obama butchering of the US economy once they’re in power.

Cavuto noted that Reid-Pelosi have already announced the insane multi-trillion dollar tax increase to pay for their litany of insane leftist programs, including bankrupting politically incorrect businesses, hugely increasing foreign aid to socialist hell holes, destroying the coal and nuclear power industries, and raising taxes on “the rich” (anyone making more than $42K/year).

Cavuto then went through each of Obama’s tax proposals regarding businesses and personal income. Mmemendez, robot-like, with that glazed donut expression we have come to associate with all Obama droids, tried to tell Cavuto that Cavuto was wrong in criticizing The One’s plan for utopia.

Cavto was having none of it, and, item by item, showed how Menendez/Obama were just lying or just plain stupid. Mmenendez did not like this. After several minutes of Menendez trying to give an Obama stump speech about Evil Business and how The One would destroy business “for the good of the middle class,”

Menendez finally lost that glassy smile and, as Cavuto gave him one more spanking on still another Obama idiocy, turned to Cavuto and said, “I hope you are not one of the ones forced off the air”

FYI – FROM Gretawire -

in 2004 the exit polls were WAY off…. what about 2008?

by Greta Van Susteren
EXIT POLLS …way off??
I got this memo from Carl Cameron. The memo apparently was sent to the Senator McCain campaign. I don’t know if you recall, but 4 years ago everyone thought early in the afternoon and into the early evening that Senator Kerry had beaten President Bush. The exit polls were the reason everyone thought Senator Kerry had won…but the exit polls turned out wrong…so this year as we all look at exit polls, we might want to keep in mind the info in this memo. Note also, this memo could be way off since things are really fluid in the business of elections, registration and voting!

RE: READING THE EXIT POLLS
DATE: NOVEMBER 3, 2008
As we have seen in previous election cycles, the exit poll results do leak early and that ends up influencing the coverage of the race before even the first state polls close at 6:00 PM Eastern.
However, we want to remind the campaign that the media’s own post-election study of the exit polls in 2004 showed that the exit polls overstate the Democratic candidate’s support. Therefore, we would discourage a rush to judgment based on the exit polls and wait until there has been a representative sampling of actual tabulated results from a variety of counties and precincts in a state.
Here are the key points to keep in mind when the exit poll data starts being leaked:
1. Historically, exit polls have tended to overstate the Democratic vote.
2. The exit polls are likely to overstate the Obama vote because Obama voters are more likely to participate in the exit poll.
3. The exit polls have tended to skew most Democratic in years where there is high turnout and high vote interest like in 1992 and 2004.
4. It is not just the national exit poll that skews Democratic, but each of the state exit polls also suffers from the same Democratic leanings.
5. The results of the exit polls are also influenced by the demographics of the voters who conduct the exit polls.
After the 2004 election, the National Election Pool completed a study investigating why the exit polls that year showed John Kerry over performing 5.5 net points[1] better than the actual results showed him to have done. Their conclusion was that the primary reason the exit polls was that Kerry voters and Democrats were more likely to participate in the exit polls…..(read more)

Wait….so BO’s Granny died this morning but he continued to campaign all day?

If so, that is heartless.

Do you really need to ask? She was only his “typical white grandmother” after all.

Oh…you mean the ethics probe she initiated herself, before a Personnel Board entirely comprised of her appointees? That ethics probe?

Talk about timing, eh?

You people are funny…sick, but funny.

Comment by Jules | 2008-11-03 23:20:35

What EVER. The whole investigation was a HUGE waste of time and money in an effort to embarrass her. They hoped they’d find something but there was nothing to find. I don’t have any problem at all with her firing some dude who drank in his patrol car and tasered a 10 year old. And the person that refused to fire someone who drank in his car and tasered a 10 year old should have been fired as well. If that’s an “abuse of power” then I hope every person will abuse their power. What a joke.
