Why didn’t they say this in their magazine BEFORE the election?
Yesterday I shared with you the audio of Tom Brokaw being interviewed by Charlie Rose where both men admit they don’t know who Obama really is or what he intends to do in office. Now, a post election admission from Jon Meacham and Evan Thomas of Newsweek; also interviewed by Charlie Rose. Audio is provided with commentary by Rush Limbaugh (transcript):
MEACHAM: You know, they don’t let him out. And have you ever seen a victory speech where there was no one else on stage?
ROSE: Mmm.

THOMAS: It — it — it just makes me a little uneasy that he’s so singular. He’s clearly managing his own spectacle. He’s a deeply manipulative guy.
RUSH: Now, let me tell you what they’re saying that they’re not saying. We’ve seen this before. We have seen this creepy cult of personality. We have seen this singular, managing his own spectacle. We’ve seen this deeply manipulative guy. We saw this before. They are scared. They are not saying that, but I hear fear. Here’s the next bite. Charlie Rose continues here with a question.ROSE: Watching him last night in that speech, he finishes –

THOMAS: He writes about this metaphor being a screen upon which Americans will project. He said they want of Barack Obama; I’m not sure I am Barack Obama.

That is fear. These guys are looking at Obama and they’ve seen him the exact way we have, all of this time. They only now after they think they got him into office are now starting to talk about their fears about how nobody knows anything about him, his resume is thin, he’s only written two books, and they’re autobiographies, we don’t know what other books he’s read. Yes, we do.
We don’t know anything about him. It’s creepy, never seen a victory speech with nobody on stage — what is this making fun of Biden, by the way?
Locking Biden in the bar so he doesn’t come out? Look at all they hid. Look at all that they refused to report.
They had plenty of chances to write editorials at Newsweek magazine, and they didn’t write one reflective of what they really saw and know and fear about Obama.
At what point will Meacham and Thomas, along with Brokaw and so many others face the fact that they committed journalistic malpractice by hiding the character concerns they are only now sharing about Obama?
Were they just tooooo busy digging dirt on Sarah Palin’s children and Joe the Plumber to tell the American people what a “creepy,” “manipulative,” “creature” Obama is?

Couple of nights ago Jay Leno showed tape of a show back in March “ON THE VIEW” where Obama visited and was so fidgety, touching his clothes and himself for over two dozen times during less than a minute while seating himself between these women! It was an eye opener! This man is deeply insecure about his “maleness”.

Dr Sam Vaknin is arguably the worlds most noted expert on Narcissistic Personality Disorder, check out one of his books “Malignant Self Love”, a real eye opener when applied to Obama.
Vaknin has also opined his belief that Obama does have NPD, but of course it would be irresponsible for him to speculate on the severity of the problem.
Fortunately, I’m not held to such professional standards so that I’m free to state without reservation that I believe that Obama is a full blown pathological Narcissist who has now reached critical mass due to his electoral success.

I agree. I noticed it at the debate with Hillary and Edwards back in January. I am likewise amazed that so many were fooled and did not find something odd here.
This is exactly where he is. It is likely why we never saw his medical records. He has the most messed up personality since Nixon.
It takes intensive testing (i.e. MMPI, MCMI, etc.) and several days of interviews and observations for a clinician to arrive at an accepted and definitive diagnosis of any psychological problems. Usually this level of scrutiny is only initiated by a family member or a judge, and I doubt that Obama would have been exposed to this degree of assessment voluntarily, so it is not likely any medical records would be revealing along those lines.
Coincidently, I recently signed a petition to craft a law that would require presidential candidates to be given extensive psychological testing. A great idea don’t you think? To bad it’s too late for this cycle.

Do you or anyone else here give any credence to the assertion that hypnosis techniques were used? If so, it seems it would have to have been on a larger scale than just hearing him speak. While many have listened to him at length it seems many more have been afflicted. Have any experts in the field looked into subliminal messages through other sources, like television commercials or online videos?
There have just been soooo many people making the same comments in regard to people they KNOW and have respected becoming completely unreasonable and ‘robotic’ in their defense of Obama.
A friend of mine (who isn’t an Obot) claims she’s an expert in Neuro Linguistic Programming, which is some kind of speech manipulation tactic. She claims Obama frequently uses NLP techniques (don’t know what they are).

I do think this is possible. I believe his 1/2 hour infomercial was to reinforce the subliminal messages. When I heard he was going to give press conferences every week, it made me more suspicious. As though they have to have regular contact. I don’t remember any president doing this.

Okay, nobody wants to hear this, and I get to be the “Jesus Freak” if I say this…but has anyone ever watched the movie “Left Behind”? It is about when the AntiChrist comes into power. Good movie, but it always creeped me out. I thought maybe it was Bush, but too many people saw through his BS. Nope, even for those who don’t believe what the Bible has to say about it, Nostradamus declared that the guy would be Muslim, would rise up from the MidEast. Anyway, we were told in the Bible that only the true Believers would be immune to the Antichrist, that he would come cloaked in Christianity, and as a False prophet bringing Peace to the nations for seven years, he would be looked at as the Messiah. I don’t know that Obama is the one that was prophesied, but he sure sounds like the description. I think most of us do not want to grasp the horror of actually entertaining the possibility that we are here to witness the end of times.

One speech I saw of his that seemed strange to me. I forgot which one, but it was during the primaries and it was indoors.. I remember listening to it and felt a bit weird.. It wasn’t what he was saying that caught my attention but how he was doing it. The tone of his voice and his demeanor and the way he said each word made me feel a bit disarmed, I guess. When I recognized what I was feeling I knew it may be some form of subliminal mind control. Tell people what they desperately want to hear and do it in a comforting, safe, yet commanding way. I think people fell for it because it made them feel like a kid again.
Funny, everytime I hear Barky speak, I want to punch him the face…Bush has the same effect on me. Instant irritation.

In a strange way, this is kind of like watching an accident while it’s happening. A long time ago, someone once said of one of his political opponents that “…his candidacy shines like a rotting mackerel in the moonlight. It both repels and attracts at the same time.”

But when I saw him on television for the first time doing a press conference, first thing I I thought was this guy seems creepy. The moment I thought of that, Obama smiled…It creep me out. I thought I just saw evil smile.

Not too long ago I saw, on the Big Gay Sketch Show on the Logo Channel, the great Erica Ash do a take-off on Whtiney Houston when she was completely gone on drugs. Sarah Palin will sit down for her first post-election interview with Fox News Channel’s Greta Van Susteren.
Van Susteren will be traveling to Alaska for an extensive interview with the state’s governor, which will air Monday at 10 p.m. ET on the Fox News Channel.
Fox News beat out several other networks to be the first to talk with Palin after her failed vice presidential bid, including requests by Barbara Walters, Oprah Winfrey, Larry King and others.
Palin is coming off a whirlwind nine weeks of almost nonstop travel and campaigning since becoming John McCain’s running mate in late August. The governor has returned to her home state, where she said she is looking forward to getting back to her day job.
In recent days, she has been facing a hail of criticism from some former McCain campaign staffers who say that she was misinformed about several foreign affairs issues and was at odds with McCain strategists.
I heard about this and I will be glued to my tv set for this one. Fox is the only channel that remotely was fair to her. I hope she keeps telling the rest of the media to go fuck themselves.

I watched it, all I can say is I just hope Obama can keep up the image and the make believe of this person he created, I would gather from what they were saying that the true Obama is something different from what he is feeding us.
Four years is a long time to pretend especially under difficult circumstance, its not a easy job he has there but his ambitions made him want it, now that he has it, it may be difficult to keep up this image and show that he created to win the public over in order to win the Presidency.

They repeated the “talk” about how horrible Palin was re: the clothes, citing “aides” …without any acknowledgment of the denials or the thing I just heard about one who was a woman in the central part of the campaign (last name Wallace) who’s friend with Katie Couric).

As we discussed on this week’s Nocturnal Warrior Show, I think there are lot of members of the MSM corp who have these types of reservations.
We know they held them back. Not so much because they were openly rooting for him to win (although we know some who did), but because they did not want to be responsible for him losing.
They recognized what they believed was the historic nature of his run and did not want give people the opportunity to reject him for anything that was not flat out policy related. They wanted it to be clear that the free press was not racist and did not stand in the way of the first “black” nominee.
Now that he safely holds the office, expect a lot more of this stuff to come out. Afterall, none of these press types want to look like they got taken. So they will voice their reservations now, so someday they think they will look smart.

THE WAY I SEEZE IT….
For me the decline of the msm was particularly pronounced, perhaps started in the ’80s when they cast a profoundly uncritical eye upon the two terms of Ronald Reagan. If you are shocked by what is going on now then you weren’t around then, or if you were, you approved of it at the time. It was not until a Lebanese, I believe, newspaper wrote about the connections between the Whitehouse and the Middle East & the press conferences of the Attorney General Meese that the whole story of the off-the-shelf operations of the Executive Branch became public. Yes folks there really was a secret government and the press didn’t even see it.
After that the interwinings of the life of the press and the whitehouse started to become both interesting and complicated. I could say more but do I really need to? (See Gene Lyons’ Fools for Scandal).
The ways I seeze it – if you want to address this phenomenon then deal with politics and press behavior separately. In other words, the folly of the press and the folly of the 3 branches should be discussed as two different things. Otherwise, you allow a deeply dysfunctional USA press to do the framing for you – and that is bad for many reasons.
This is just the media’s way of doing their job. Now, after they have sold most Americans on this bill of goods, they think they can run for cover and hide their activities by pretending to be objective about Obama post-dictatorship. They knew this all along but chose to ignore these facts about Obama. Here’s how I see it so far:
Obama – Hitler (look at their similar poses in pictures and their eloquent “Yes we can” speeches)

FOX – Take your pick — I no longer watch Bill O’Reilly — not because I believe he share’s Obama’s world view, but because he pandered to Obama and showed no courage at all. He also allowed Carl Cameron to smear Palin yesterdaay — and commended him. Fox has gone from FAIR AND BALANCED, TO DULL AND BORING — EXCEPT FOR ON THE RECORD, WITH GRETA AND SEAN HANNITY’S APPEARANCES.
