Help Smite the Smuggites!
By Old Grumpy Guy on November 8, 2008 at 6:15 PM in Current Affairs, Obama's Thugs
Taking my cue from Peter Finch in the movie Network, I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take any more! Those Obama supporters have become even more insufferably smug since he’s won, and I’m fed up.
And who might you be smiting at the moment?

The video is no longer available. Too bad, it looked interesting.
What’s up with that?
It’s back up now
I have been referring to Keith Olbermann as Howard Beale (Peter Finch character) for over 6 months. I was so hoping for a McCain victory just so I could see KO’s head explode on camera.
What is KO going to do now? Show an hour of Oddball videos? He can’t rant against Dear Leader.
Before you go out to smite the smuggites, don’t forget to gird your loins, or griddle your loins, or whatever the hell it is.
Yes, let’s griddle our loins! I like that…
Maybe we can do a group photo of us girding our loins and we can send that to Pres Elec Snow job bama as a Christmas card love from your friendly commentors at NQ -
Of course we will be faced away from the camera touching our toes . . .
The Obots are already in that position.
I’m fed up with it being called a “win”. It isn’t a win if you stole the nomination and rigged the vote. Call it what it is, a selection process that led to the appointment of mystery man Barry Soertora, aka Barack Obama. I really hate that smug Obama supporters think I can’t tell the difference.
I never called Bush president and I won’t be calling this one president and even if I did I wouldn’t know which name to use so here’s Number 2 on the not-a-president hall of shame.
Uh…the man won with a larger margin than anyone has won with in 20 years. I think I’d call that a “win”. Let’s further note that more people voted for Barack Obama in this election than have ever voted for any candidate in the history of this nation.
As for the “stole the nomination”, I don’t know where you get that. The delegates were awarded according to the state party system in each state, under the rules established by the DNC before the primary season began. He won more of them than his opponent did. That’s not “stealing”, that’s “winning”.
Look, I get it: the person you wanted to win didn’t win. We’ve all been there. But for chrissakes, it’s not like it’s some conspiracy cooked up to deny you of getting your way. These contests were conducted in the open in full public view. There’s no secret about how they turned out or why. Get over it already. I had to get over Howard Dean losing the nomination in 2004; now you need to get over Hillary losing it this year. Being a sore loser is playing the Republicans’ game.
Jennifer, after you have read about the caucus fraud, and you read about how people were bussed from out of state in order to game the caucus system by Obama, then you can come back here and comment. Otherwise, you have nothing to say. Your stupidity on this matter speaks for itself. Do a little research-it might do your tiny brain some good.
That’s rich. A member of the crowd who’s still searching for the “real” birth certificate is questioning the size of my brain?
You folks are nuttier than the nuttiest right-wingers.
Nixon won 60% of the vote. Reagan 58.8% Both beat Obama–it looks like.
I guess you must have missed the part about “20 years”. Either that, or you’re bad with math.
Jennifer try supporting women for a change. You might feel better for it. Read a book about women’s history. Read a book on Hillary Clinton.
Calling people sore losers is terribly immature of you. I know you think you’re cool supporting the “man”.
Grow up and learn something.
Didnt you hear?
Since the GOPs stole the 2000 and 2004(didnt know that one)it perfectly ok for he DNC and Obama to cheat, lie steal and etc to get win the election.
Like I have been saying….No wonder our kids act like they do…Look at the examples they are being taught….
Hang on guys for it looks like a nation of crime, and fraud is what America wants.
Yeah, I’m afraid the new motto is: may the best cheater win.
I think it’s really always been that way. After 2000 we just started paying attention. It’s all got the blessings of the powers that be though because it was blatant in your face voter registration fraud and no one cared. Think about that. No one cared. No one in this country seems to care about a damned thing. I certainly have no idea what to care about anymore. I feel like I am just waiting for the end to come. I wish I knew how soon so I could quit work and relax until it’s over. This American will fly or salute no more flags and certainly will not celebrate unIndepedence Day.
Haven’t had a President since 2000.
I agree with that —
There is no will of the voter.
It does not matter what we think.
I have an email all ready when my in-laws start gloating. “Go fuck yourselves” is the short version.
Thankfully my German neighbors have died — they escaped Hitler and endured the brownshirts in Berlin raided their home and searched their books for Communist titles. This new Authoritarian would have been too traumatic for them to live through again.
Women the n***er of the world — the world has become even more unsafe for women.
Northwest Rain, don’t use the short version. Use the “long version,” and tone that down a bit. Trust me, I’m a wise old man with a master’s degree in Zen bullshit.
I posted earlier today on just this topic. My m-i-l who is NOT EVEN AN AMERICAN got out of her DEATH BED to rub it in, with my NOT AMERICAN brother-in-law yelling “We love Obama!” in the background. I was told that “No one is allowed to say a bad thing about him in my house.” Wellll, I tell you, it is a frustration, especially when you can’t get them to listen to you long enough for you to tell them WHY the heck you feel so strongly on this topic. She says that she has read his books and KNOWS he is a great man.
You must remind these family members that no one can say anything bad about Obama in six months…
Me neither.
I haven’t had a President since 1996. I think we lost free and fair elections right after that. I thinkk it had a lot to do with Karl Rove. Then he took donna Brazile as a disciple and there went the Dem Party. Their BFF now.
God I’m so pissed I am going to work out. At least I’ll stay healthy.
And I’m so pissed I am going to drink. At least I’ll stay happy!
I have been drinking more lately and I started smoking again after about 15 years!!!!!
That f-ing Odrama! I cannot stand this!
For some good news though, I went to a training session for some political activism related to healthcare here in my state of MN and I got trained in community organizing so I am now qaulified to be President of the United (divided) states of America. Well, I’d like to think I am, but I’m white and I do not have a penis so I could be completely deluding myself!
Cruzeq…
Please don’t smoke again.Studies have shown that after lying dormant for many years and then reactivating the cells by smoking really increase your chances.
Having said that..Feel good about what we have accomplished.. Obama is being forced to govern as a Centrist and is listening to the rational folks who warned him about raising taxes and withdrawing from Iraq without victory.
Obama realizes that he’s going to alienate his original supporters the ant-American,America defeated Marxist’s and leftists who are going to be left more empty than any of us.
Hang in there!! We are the folks Obama and his team want to impress in the future.
He can leave m the F alone. That will impress me.
I hope the new dog bites him and he gets an infection.
I just went out and bought a $6. pair of earrings.
Over at Savage one of their points to “help Obama succeed” is to put back one item when you are shopping. Did you need those expensive earrings, CJ?
http://savagepolitics.com/?p=2401
seems to me america is gone already. I don’t know whom took over but freedom is forever gone now. Good luck to you guys. You are gonna need it.
Touchet, I understand your feelings, but freedom is not gone. We’re all still here saying what we think. We’re not going to go gently into that good night. Too many generations of brave men and women have spilled their blood in defense of freedom, and we’re not about to forget about them and stop fighting now. All trite, but all true. Cheers!
well said oowawa. We can’t let the Pod People and the smuggites win
I’m not going down without a fight. They’ll have to rip my tongue out or put me in my grave before I give up on this country.
Hope it is sooner rather than later.
Bwa-ha. And that bowling-ball sharp Obot wit rears its head.
Try not to give up. My Mother was part of the German Resistance to Hitler. They knew very early on what was coming and no one listened. They didn’t give up and they saved lives and in the end - they won. Were it notr the smalll voices of resistance that started early on, they would have never made it to D day. I refuse to go down. We all share a heritage of freedom fighters, regardless of our roots. That’s America. I don’t think it very possible to just walk away from that.
TS,
Thank you for your comment. My dad was a holocaust survivor. He did not give up either.
We all do share a heritage of freedom fighters. Beautifully stated.
It’s V-Day and in that case Victory in Europe Day, ala V-E Day/VE Day.
Make sure you go and see “Defiance” in December.
It’s a movie about the Bielski Brothers who fought the Nazis with the Russian partisans during WWII and saved thousands of Jews from extermination.
I love Old Grumpy Old Man almost as much as I love Maxine.
Obama Is Not The First Black President (And Neither Was Clinton)
Let’s hope it’s not this bad.
http://patriotroom.com/?p=4076
The real winner this year is John McCain; he didn’t get elected. The economic problems we face would daunt an EXPERIENCED leader, so it will damn near overwhelm the empty suit. (Memo to “youts”: find a history book and look up “Jimmy Carter”.) So celebrate while you can, the work starts in Jan. I’d guess the villification will be in full force this time next year.
I think I might have “I TOLD YOU SO” tattooed on my forehead.
So the O-zero wants to continue campaigning — traveling on the Tax payers dollar this time from managed crowd to managed crowd — just like his twin bush did. The traveling faux preacher show — perhaps Rev. Wright will be the opening act?
And Carter did put on a powerful campaign — he was super organized. And we know what happened after that election.
McCain is indeed lucky. Palin not so much — seems like the hyenas are out to destroy her.
We’re going to be watching the O-zero make one bad decision after another and at the same time watch the Republican party feed on each other.
Sort of reminds me of two barking dogs who can’t get at their prey so the turn on each other.
Since Obama wants to tax the rich — I wonder if he will tax Soros.
Did Soros find a way to dump unlimited funds into the Obama campaign.
Interesting — where are the Republicans. Remember when they tried to nail Gore and Clinton for petty fund raising — that was nickles and dimes compared to the massive fraud seen in the Obama online fund raising. Did I read somewhere that Obama neutered the FEC by blocking appointments to the Federal Electoral Commission — and thus they were unable to investigate any wrong doing.
McCain mentioned the fund raising — and now there is silence.
Is Soros richer than God — and does a god exist.
Obviously evil has won over good.
A really good story never ends this way, except in cynical modern literature, which doesn’t count. At least not in my book.
There will be loopholes for them, but not for me or thee
I realize now the republicans helped Obama. I am not sure why, maybe they were afraid McCain-Palin really would have gone after the corrupt ones on both sides, but this would not have happened if the Republicans had gone at the democrats with all they had.
Yes, I’m sure that’s why the Republicans lost. If they had just called him a child rapist in addition to calling him a socialist communist terrorist baby murderer, that would have done the trick.
You are correct in that the Republicans helped Obama - they helped him by running a campaign based on the same lame-assed 60’s culture war issues they’ve been winning campaigns with for 40 years. I guess it never occured to them that at some point, most of the voters would be too young to remember - or care about - the 60s.
They mainly helped him by not showing up to vote. The Repubs didn’t want the WH this year. They’re going to let Dems try to clean up this mess. Then they’ll back with a vengeance when the Dems fail. Result: years more of Repub rule.
I think you give too much credit for deep thinking to the average Republican voter. I’m sure some of them were demoralized and didn’t turn out. The base was always lukewarm at best about their nominee. Palin helped firm that up to a great degree, but you’re probably right that some staunch Republicans sat this one out.
But overall, the numbers don’t really support your theory - turnout was way higher than in 2004, which indicates that a lot of folks who voted Republican then crossed over and voted Dem this time. All the polls leading up to the election - which showed Obama way ahead with self-identified independents (the folks who determine the outcome of every national election) - suggest this was the more proximate cause.
where to you get that? turnout was not way higher than 2004. the polls show at most it was up 1.5-2%. and it might have been the same.
Yeah, all those dead people ACORN registered didn’t quite make it to the polls.
I imagine there was some of that kind of rationalization among Republican elites to let the Dems have this one, but for most of the Republican voters (and moderates) that sat out, it was pure anger and frustration over the bailout. I know a number of people who didn’t want to talk about the election after that. They were done. If John McCain had opposed the bailout, he probably would have won this election.
so they let the socialist win instead….brilliant.
The media would have gone even more mad, had he done that.
There was no way for him to win this election. None.
The media simply would not allow it.
It doesn’t seem there is any way to ascertain a valid assessment of his campaign to use it as a rebuilding tool. It was nothing McCain did or did not do. It was nothing Palin did or did not do that caused the loss. It was what the media told you they did or did not do.
Who’s to even say the numbers being reported in terms of Republican voters are even correct?
How can the huge crowds McCain and Palin drew be accounted for, those were well after the bailout.
None of it adds up and the only thing we know FOR CERTAIN is that the media told us what they wanted to.
McHope, I don’t disagree that the media was the largest problem in this election. Media suppression of Obama’s considerable negatives was shameful. And Palin was genuinely exciting for the largest group of Republicans, and with the PUMAs, made this election competitive. But the bailout was a huge anchor on McCain to overcome. I’d like to know who it was that called him and convinced him he needed to drop everything and get in the middle of that mess.
I agree with you here, I think alot of Republicans felt gilted by the party at the bailout. From what I’ve been reading lately, the big AIG bailout they are holding the funds as capital and not putting it back into the system to save the economy as intended. People with high scores, good jobs, a good loan to value downpayment are having a hard time getting loans for business, mortgages etc. It’s crazy, giving loans to anyone with a pulse was a mistake, but there are many people still making there payments. Why didn’t the bailout come with stiff stipulations and “NO PORK”. Something stinks and I don’t think it’s the fish.
I would like to ask all of you to join me in contacting your senators and reps concerning the democrats’ plan to take over the 401k’s of American workers. I am retired, but my children and grandchildren are not. I have written my elected officials and plan to call AND write all the leadership of the senate and the house. This socialist movement will decimate the retirement plans of all workers if the government steals the money and melds it into the social security system. If they want to ’spread the wealth’ around, they should start with their own money. I will also pray that obama is given the same loving treatment by the press that they extended to Pres.Bush.
I think I will borrow the bumper sticker that my Democrat next door neighbor displayed on his car for the last 8 years.
“He’s not my President!”
My neighbor isn’t using it any more.
LOL! Recycling is an excellent concept.
Hello Grumpy Old Guy…we are the resistence. Isn’t it exciting? xo
Fear Not.
Yep! Look who’s manning the barricades! Anyone here who is under 40 or isn’t on meds raise your hands! Yep, I thought so . . .
And you know the funny thing is–we’re gonna win! And the reason we’re going to win is, because we’re tougher in the long haul.
And also, we have more wisdom, and also . . . oh heck, I forgot what comes next . . .
Old grumpy guy, can you give me a hand here!?!?
We have more insurance!
It’s OldGrumpyGuy, not Grumpy Old Guy, for heaven’s sake! You wouldn’t like it if I called you Hat In Your Kat, would you? Hurrumph. (or do I mean sheesh?”)
WE ALL NEED TO BEGIN RIGHT NOW,DEMANDING THAT EACH STATE ( YOU MUST DO IT BY STATE) CORRECTS ALL OF THE VOTING PROBLEMS
1. VOTERS MUST REGISTER AND CHANGE ADDRESS BY THE DEADLINE, NO EXCEPTIONS
2. STATES BE HOOKED UP WITH A NATIONWIDE SYSTEM TO SAFE GUARD AGAINST PEOPLE VOTING IN MORE THAN ONE STATE ( SS NUMBER REQUIRED)
3.VOTER MUST PROVE CITIZENSHIP BEFORE VOTER CARD IS ISSUED
4. NO VOTER CARD AND ID NO VOTE
5. ALL REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO YOUR LOCAL ELECTION COMMISSION OFFICE ONLY, NO MORE ACORN OR ANYBODY ELSE INVOLVED IN REGISTRATIONS
6. NO STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO STOP A VOTER FRAUD INVESTIGATION
7 ALL CAMP CONTRIBUTIONS NEED TO BE REVEALED, REGARDLESS OF AMOUNT.
8.IF A PASTOR CANNOT TALK ABOUT POLITICS IN CHURCH THAN TEACHERS SHOULD NOT TALK ABOUT POLICTICS IN CLASSROOMS. REMEMBER SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE?
GOES BOTH WAYS!
IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS I HAVE NOT MENTIONED, PLEASE BRING THEM FORWARD!
Holly,
All good ideas, and it seems so simple to enact. Which is exactly why it won’t happen, because it makes sense.
We don’t seem to have much power to do anything. Killroy gets there first and has all avenues blocked. __(*.*)__
the data of each eligible citizen must be collected cenralized, per state, or nationwide.
Of course it has to be managed and controlled by independent institutions.
Not by the gouvenment, because of party interests.
How and who, I have no idea.
The ballots will be mailed out or provided according to this data.
As You said, proof of citizenship, no exeptions etc.
No ACORN, no abuse.
Same procedure in the primaries.
Guess what, we would have Hillary.
No, you wouldn’t. That’s because party primaries are not run by the government. The parties are private entities and as such, they get to set the rules for how they will go about selecting their nominees. Under the rules set by the Democratic party, Hillary lost.
Maybe it hasn’t occured to any of you folks, but there’s a really good chance that Hillary would have lost had she been the nominee. For one thing, McCain wouldn’t have chosen that moron from Alaska as his running mate had he not thought that he could win you folks over just by substituting someone else with lady parts. Palin did more to help Obama than perhaps anything else that happened in the campaign. Secondly, the Republicans had already put together their strategy for a run against Hillary. Third, Hillary would likely have gotten caught up in another stupid 60’s culture war campaign, just like every other Democrat who’s run who was of age during that time. Fourth, we already know from the strategy that cost Hillary the nomination that the general election game plan would have been “270 + 1″ - playing to the same blue states. That’s the strategy the Republicans were expecting.
She might have eked out a victory, but had she won the nomination via getting the superdelegates to overrule the elected delegates, it would have been very difficult, because the black vote turnout would have been much lower - guaranteed. We know for sure she would not have won Indiana, Virginia, North Carolina, and perhaps would not have won Ohio, either.
Spoken like a true sexist son of Damien, a.k.a. The One. Palin is NOT a moron, and she actually united the Republican base and brought it in some independents and Democrats.
Do you really believe that? The woman was a disaster in every interview. The list of what she did not know continues to grow even now.
As for “uniting the Republican base”, that’s what primaries are supposed to be for. If that’s not done in advance of a general election campaign, guess what? The candidate loses. That’s because neither party has a base large enough to ensure victory.
I’m not a “sexist” for noting that the woman is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. “Moron” is not a “sexist” term. Hillary is a smart woman. This woman? Not. I don’t vote for people who are not at least as smart (and hopefully, smarter) than I am. Sarah Palin isn’t. Just like George Bush isn’t. Guess what? It actually matters whether the people we elect to lead us are intelligent.
As for bringing in independents and Democrats, if the public endorsements of Obama by prominent Republicans are any indication, she lost the ticket a lot more votes than she brought it.
NEWS FLASH(es):
Biden is among the less-than-smart set!
And Obama? from the lack of college transcripts, IQ scores, non-ghost-written writing samples, etc. - MY ivy league education gives me the deductive power to assume he’s hiding a less than stellar academic performance. teleprompter fluency doth not a high intellect make…
so you may in fact have voted for two people less smart than yourself! sorry!
Yes, stupid people get elected to head the Harvard Law Review every year.
EPIC FAIL. Try again.
Yes, and His Magnificence published so many significant articles in that position. Just stellar.
O was not elected to the Harvard Law Review because of his brilliance. Check your facts.
Jesus are you delusional.
Obama won for one reason only: the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Before that, despite having a year that should have been simply tremendously favoring ANY Democrat, he was actually behind McCain in the polls.
Obviously, the financial crisis would have been at least as powerful in its effect for Hillary as for Obama — and I have zero doubt that she would already have been well ahead of McCain even before the crisis hit.
Again, you’re just delusional and confused by the KoolAid.
And what do we get out of Obama in the end anyway?
Why, President Republican-Lite. We will see no genuine Universal Health Care under the man. What major, new progressive policies wil we get out of the man? I defy you to name one.
President Republican-Lite. That’s what all you fools on Obama’s side were fighting for, and throwing away any integrity you might have ever had for.
Oh and I forgot one other wonderful thing we can thank President Republican-Lite for: the passage of Prop 8, where his own words and his most core group of supporters, AAs, became major instruments in putting it over the top.
I’m sure Obama is nowadays much loved by the GLBT community for his fine service on their behalf. I mean, they supported him in great numbers, why should they feel betrayed that he played such an obvious role in denying them their civil rights?
Since when has the DLC been “liberal central”? I’ll answer that for you: NEVER.
Both Hillary and Obama are center-right Democrats.
As for major new progressive policies we’ll get, we’ll have to wait and see. You might be right - we might get none. But if we do get some, let me predict - you’ll be blind to them, because your mind is already made up. By definition, anything the man does will be wrong, because you’ve already decided he can’t ever be right.
Obama was behind McCain in the polls for about 10 days - from the time Palin joined the ticket until her inept Charlie Gibson interview hit the airwaves, which was several days before the news of the need for the bailout hit. One of the reasons he was behind even for that short period of time was the reluctance of some white voters to even consider voting for a black candidate for president. Once they saw how unschooled Palin was, and even more after they watched McCain’s floundering on the economic crisis, they decided they could get over that.
I suspect that you are correct that the economic crisis would have benefitted Hillary had she been the nominee, but again, had she been the nominee, the whole ground of the campaign would have been entirely different - particularly if she had won the nomination via the superdelegates, which would have depressed black voter turnout.
I happen to think that Obama’s approach to the healthcare issue may be a really smart way to go about it. I would prefer a single-payer system - but good luck getting that by announcing that as your intent up front. You’d never get it past the insurance and pharmaceutical lobbies. Just ask Hillary about that. What Obama has proposed is essentially expanding the government healthcare plan for all who want to join it - it’s an end-run to the same goal, and it probably has a better chance of succeeding than any grand plan to do an immediate switchover to single-payer.
Obama “center right”??!! Mr. radical,
Black Liberation Theology acolyte, Marxist “spread the wealth around” and “fundamentally change” America??!! I don’t think so.
Yeah, I’m sure the KOS kids (you know, the new dem base) are going to be thrilled to find out that Barky is now a centrist…my my my, when did he drop his progressive message? Eat shit and die you Barky mouth piece. For months you trashed Hillary and her politics. You claimed she was part of the old DC network and now you have the cojones to spew this new and improved Barky ‘govern from the middle crap’ only to find Barky is loading his cabinet with old Clinton advisors? Wow some nerve. I KNEW Barky would pull this shit. He’s inept and stupid and has to steal all his ideas from superior minds and claim them all as his own. Watch out folks, Barkybigears/smallpenis is changing his message AGAIN!!!!!!!
I know Strawberry I’ve already got whiplash from this Prez-elect.
Whoops. That was for Jennifer up a ways…sorry Kathy. I’m pissed and on my second screwdriver.
No worries Strawberry. Wish I had a cocktail in my hand right now.
Your “eat shit and die” comment - wow, that proves who’s off the rails here, doesn’t it?
You know nothing about me. I never trashed Hillary, but she most definitely was, and is, a member of the DLC. They have a website, you know. You COULD look it up, rather than just pulling stuff out of your butt and spouting obscenities to people who dare to inform you of facts you haven’t bothered to avail yourself of. Cuckoo-cuckoo!
Spin little Obot spin! This is not about Hillary anymore, this is about Barky using college kids and poor African Americans (not to mention aging hippies) duping them with messages of hope, change and progressive programs, only to sell them out. And having his paid mouth pieces come here and try and tell us this was Barky’s message all along. He’s always been a centrist, take it over to KOS little sister. We’ve had our fill of bovine excrement.
Oh, I see.
You were in charge of writing McCain campaign tactics, right?
Take it up with frankly0, your fellow traveller. He says Obama’s to the right of Hillary. I don’t agree - I think they are both center-right. I guess the reason you only disagree with my characterization - milder than his - is that unlike him, I’m not in the “OMG, he’s the devil incarnate!!!” camp. I guess you gotta stick together when it comes to the important stuff, eh?
No, you are making shit up. Barky claimed to be the candidate of hope and change and no more politics as usual and now all of a sudden when the little prick knows he’s bitten off more than he can chew, he runs back to momma (Hillary) and her centrist message. You coward, you low life spineless scum sucking worm. Own your own views and your own candidate, he’s ALL yours, even as he sells you and your progessive movement out before your very eyes.
Go to google. Type in “DLC”. Click the link to their website. Read it. Then come back and tell me about Hillary the liberal Democrat.
Oh, and while you’re at it, go wash out your mouth - it’s really foul.
Um, buttmunch, like I said you’re spineless. Can’t take a cyber punch. Both Bill and Hillary have always governed from the center, that’s why both he and she have and had such high approval ratings. He as president and she as senator. What was Barky’s approval rating I wonder, can’t seem to find anything about how he did back in Chi town. Maybe we should ask all those poor folks in his districts that died from the cold. And why is Barky hiring Rahm Emmanuel and John Kerry if he wanted change so much? And what’s this I hear about Jane Garvey for head of the FAA? Why not pull out Janet Reno while he’s at it?
No, I know foul language - I just don’t think that it’s an equal substitute for logic or rationality. Obviously, you do. Because I haven’t seen the real thing out of you yet, and obviously, you could post all night and it would never appear. So consider this “conversation” over.
oh, well if you have to go then..buhbye…——–>
You’re just making shit up here.
Look at the polls, and look at the analysis Rasmussen — who absolutely hit the nail on the head in their predictions this — of what went on.
Rasmussen makes it clear that, again, as I said, McCain was slightly ahead in the polls until the financial crisis hit. Then, immediately, McCain took a huge hit, and within a few days Obama had essentially the same lead he had for the rest of the campaign.
Every other account of what went on that acts as if there was something else important going on is just a fabrication out of nothing. Your notion that McCain lost because of Palin is just your delusion.
And how wonderful of you to excuse President Republican-Lite in advance for any failure to promote any major progressive policy. Anyone with a brain and an ounce honesty knows that Hillary would have fought hard for UHC. Obama has shown no evidence he will fight for ANYTHING other than his own adulation by the crowd.
I defied you to name a single major progressive policy we could be confident Obama would promote. By your own admission, you could come up with nothing.
In short, as far as your concerned, the man can be Republican-Lite, and you will be just fine with that.
What else do we possibly need to know about you?
Go to Nate Silver’s site. The polls are clear about when McCain’s lead disappeared. I guess you quoting the one poll that says what you want it to say to support your argument says everything I need to know about you, doesn’t it?
I didn’t “excuse” anyone for anything - I merely acknowledged that I’m not a psychic. Unlike yourself.
We had a choice between two center-right democrats. And, hell yes, I was damn well going to support either one of them over more of the same, which McCain promised - repeatedly - throughout the campaign. Republican-lite is better than 4 more years of Bush in anyone’s book. Well, anyone who isn’t delusional, anyway.
Oh please.
Every national poll showed McCain’s lead evaporated exactly when the financial crisis hit, and the hit that McCain took was immediate, basically stable, and permanent.
As far as Nate Silver’s methods were concerned, they were focused on state by state polling for the electoral college. State polls are both delayed and staggered in time and not nearly as precise as national polls.
Again, you’re just making shit up here.
Nate Silver didn’t make up the polls - national polls - from which he aggregated his data. Go look. You’re the one “making shit up”; otherwise, you’d be concerned about figuring out if what you’re saying is actually correct, which it isn’t.
Look, I’m sorry your delusions have the best of you. But that’s no excuse for continuing to accuse others of “making shit up” when you can’t be bothered to look at the very clear data that proves you are WRONG.
So you’re willing to admit that Obama is Republican-Lite, and yet still act as if we should be overcome with joy that he won?
Jesus, what a sell out.
Look, what many of us believed was that we could do a hell of a lot better than Republican-Lite. Our reckoning was that if Obama lost, then at least in 2012, the Democratic Party, chastened by its experience in 2008, would try to put up a candidate like Hillary who might actually be, you know, a Democrat, and be willing to fight for some progressive policies like UHC (I mean real UHC, not Obama UHC).
Instead in 2012 we will either see more Republican-Lite in Obama (which I happen to doubt, since I strongly suspect he’ll screw up royally enough that he will lose) or we get another Republican.
Wow, so much to look forward to you because of you Obama supporters who obviously just can’t give the slightest damn about progressive change.
Since when is the DLC “real” Democrats? Bill Clinton was DLC - you thought he was a liberal?
What’s the big deal about universal health care? I’ve been paying for my own health care (no employer coverage} for what seems like forever….pay it every month. If I get cancer so what I am mortal and will die. Universal heath care will not keep me alive, and my insurance that I pay for will keep me from bankruptcy. What more do we need?
Well, not all cancers are fatal. If your health insurance company decides to drop you it is possible that you could end up paying for the treatments completely out of pocket. Cancer treatments are not cheap and could force you into banruptcy.
You obviously haven’t been badly hurt or become ill. Try and keep it that way. I’ve got “great insurance” too ($14,000 grand a year for my family)at least I did until I needed a spinal fusion. You should see the crap I had to go through and am still dealing with. The rat bastards.
Wow, Strawberry, spinal fusion that’s really serious and from what I hear, very painful. My daughter has, among other disabilities, scoliosis. Her curvature is quite severe. The doctors have talked about spinal fusion but I’ve heard some real horror stories about it. If indeed they say she needs to have it for major health reasons (major organ displacement for example) of course I will go ahead with it, but I’m really dreading that day. I hope everything went well for you.
The really sad part is, I could have gotten artificial discs that have been in use in Europe for close to 15 years. But the FDA still considers them experimental even though they are cheaper, have a much quicker rate of recovery and don’t limit mobility the way fusion does. The problem is any person with a history of slipped discs could benefit from them but the insurance companies’ profits might take a hit. But hey for $116,000 I can walk without dragging my leg along. I don’t know if I’ll ever run or spar again but life without pain meds is cool.
Well, not much comfort I know, but I’m glad at least that you are not in as much pain.
Oh, and BTW Jennifer,
Do you think you could find out for all of us what happened to Obama’s grandmother’s body since she died last Sunday? You know, the grandmother who raised him like a mother for a good portion of his youth?
I mean, have they had a funeral service for her, or not? If they have, why wasn’t Obama there? If they haven’t, what do they plan to do, put her on ice until he and Michelle show up in December to “honor her” — while making sure to have plenty of RR at the same time?
I’m getting a little creeped out by the idea that his beloved “Toot” might be waiting around in some morgue or funeral home until she finally gets buried. How odd that Obama and Michelle don’t seem to have the same concern. I mean, they have a jet available entirely at their disposal, with creature comforts far beyond anything us ordinary mortals might enjoy. Even though it would be a mite inconvenient, I think they might find the time to pay their respects to the woman as soon as possible after her death — you know, the way ordinary people do.
If you cannot see what an offensive ghoul you have turned into as a result of your hatred and conviction - not grounded in any solid fact that I have been able to see - then I truly pity you.
The way a family deals with death is none of your business, even if that family happens to be that of the president-elect and you don’t like him. You’re sick.
FYI, my father was cremated a full year and a half before we buried his remains. I guess this makes me a devil too, since it’s your business. Sicko.
No, I’ve known Narcissists like Obama. If you look at the behavior of this family and the way they handle things it is very bizarre for normal people but not atypical of narcissist personalities. Obama clearly is unstable.
Excuse me, but maybe you have a rather different family from most people I know.
Really, in virtually every family I know of, respects are paid to the deceased within a few days of their death. Nothing could be more standard than that.
What you haven’t come up with is any explanation for why Obama and Michelle haven’t chosen to do so with his grandmother. Does anyone doubt but that he would show up in a few days if a major world leader were to die? When have such ceremonies ever been delayed for a full month to accommodate “busy” people?
While you claim that the issue I’m raising comes from “hate”, it actually comes from my knowledge of how virtually everybody I know of chooses to handle the death of a loved one. Sometimes they simply can’t make a funeral, because of the expense. Even airlines will, however, on short notice, offer special rates for such people so that they can make the funeral.
What I would suggest is that you are the one who is driven by such distorting emotion that you can’t or refuse to see how bizarre the behavior of the Obama family is here. I suggest you ask your own friends how often a funeral has been delayed a full month, if you don’t believe me. I don’t even know of such a case, and, trust me, if I did, I would not consider that family particularly normal.
Really, if you weren’t so emotionally invested in Obama’s success, you’d be able to see how bizarre and out of the norm his behavior, and that of Michelle’s, on this issue really is.
Obviously, no one you know or care about has ever died, no one you know or care about has ever lost a loved one. Otherwise, you would know that people are all over the map with how they deal with the death of a loved one. Anyone who has ever lost anyone would not presume to judge how someone else deals with a loss. If they were a decent person, anyway.
wow, how are you ingesting the koolaid these days??? Injecting it or are you snorting the power up your nose? There are norms of behavior and Obama is not within the normal bounds of behavior on this one, sorry, too weird, even for Barry.
Please, don’t lecture me about what I don’t know about other people, and “how they choose to do their grieving.”
In the end, there are some kind of norms for everyone, some basic conventions on how respect is paid to a loved one in death.
We don’t, generally, have wild drunken parties when people die. We don’t, generally, have grand celebrations in which the loved one’s spirit plays no role. We don’t, generally, just put the loved one on ice for over a month when they die.
We don’t have to wear black for a year anymore, or necessarily sit Shiva for a week, or a million other things that are more traditional.
But the vast majority of us make time in our busy lives for a funeral and wake within a few days of their death.
And we do so out of respect to our loved ones. And everybody else knows that doing so is so important that we are accommodated in our need to do so in countless ways. Our employer will let us take the time off — they would be considered unspeakably inhuman if they didn’t. Our friends expect us to break any engagements. As I said, we can even get airlines to grant special rates to enable us to attend the funeral if money is an issue.
All I can say is, Obama and Michelle appear to have done none of this. My guess is that no one will talk sense to him and her about this issue at this time because he’s just been elected President, and they don’t want to make him feel as if he and Michelle are doing something terribly wrong. And certainly the media won’t bring it up, because they are now expected to be in full fawn mode.
But most people can see this behavior as just extremely weird and, I’m sure, quite disturbing.
She was not a disaster in every interview. She did very well actually and did well in the debate with Biden. You’re the worst kind of woman, if you really are a woman. Sarah Palin is a very bright person if you had really researched her instead of just relying on SNL and camp Obamaliars to “educate” you. Yeah, women like you really make it tough on all of us. There is a special place in hell reserved for you.
Sorry, but I don’t find winking at the camera to be businesslike or presidential. Conducting a debate by saying, “I’m not going to answer your question, I’m going to recite my talking points” is not a sign of high intelligence, but then again, I was never in the business of making excuses for her poor performance due to blinding hatred of the other candidate.
Someone who can’t name a single publication they read - or a book - or anything else - is not someone who reads much.
“That’s above my paygrade” is not a sign of intelligence: it is a sign of immaturity and impudence. And this from our new President-Elect, the purveyor of hope and change for America.
Hey, I’m still waiting for you to cut and paste the “spouting” I did over the “stellar character and intelligence”. I guess I won’t be seeing that, since you made it up.
Just like a typical rightwinger would do.
You folks are pitiful. I had heard it was really sad over here, and had to come see for myself. I didn’t really think that people who think of themselves as Democrats could ever go this loony. I’m sorry to learn I was wrong. Have a nice life in the Hussien X Obama re-education camps, folks!
Logic and reason have now…left the building. Enjoy the other inmates, this caretaker is off to bed.
Night night.
In otherwords, you just got you ass handed to you and you are off to lick your wounds. Ciao, not so bella.
“caretaker”? LOL is that new term you Obots have for stalking? Wow you are one freaky obsessed stalker Jennifer. You Obots have a strange view of reality, must be all the acid laced koolaide you drank.
I have to laugh at your tapdancing around claiming that Hillary is center right, bwah hah hah! I suggest looking at the voting records on Progressive Punch.
http://www.progressivepunch.org/members.jsp?search=selectScore&chamber=Senate&scoreSort=lifetime
Hillary has always been more liberal than Obama. I knew Obama was a Republican in disguise as soon as he made those hosannahs to Reagan, while he trashed the Clinton adminstration way back when he was campaigning in Nevada. He also trashed the peace movement of the 1960’s- in his book and also during the campaign, dismissed feminism as “mere ideology” when he said he’d appoint justices like Roberts, expressed homophobia both in his books and during the campaign, made sneering classist and ageist comments, and made racist comments against Asian Americans. Sure as heck not things Hillary would ever even think, much less say.
And Jennifer, I voted Green Party in the General Election. I’ve been treated with far more civility here than I was by Obots like you on the fauxgressive websites. I think it rather interesting that almost all of the misogyny in both the Dem primaries and the run up to the General Election came from fauxgressives like you.
“I didn’t really think that people who think of themselves as Democrats could ever go this loony.”
Two words- raw story
Or what about the 57 states comment or the Arabic translators in Afghanistan, or the Great Lakes in Oregon, or coming to my state and not knowing that Hanford is one of the most polluted places in the country…but I digress…should we start with Biden next?
Enjoy Obama’s victory while you can. The end of the world is coming soon.
Every election there is this cry and nothing ever happens.
Last but not least no voter registration as on the same day as the vote? (ohio)
Psst… strange doing afoot in the MN recount.
Different names — same game. Ballots suddenly “show up” — seems like that happened in the bush elections. This time is the dems who have suddenly “discovered” a bunch of ballots.
Interesting — I do not like Franken — he’s a self absorbed pompous ass. But then so is the other guy.
Did you see that it looks like Obama didnt win Indiana…..TY Indianans for giving me faith in your state.
http://www.in.gov/apps/sos/election/general/general2008?page=office&countyID=-1&officeID=36&districtID=-1&candidate=
Can someone please explain to me how it is possible that 3 counties in Indiana apparently have not reported their election results 5 days after the election?
I had someone explain their vote for Obama today as “geting on the right side of history”..
Someone was telling a story the other day that they had seen a video or saw ballot boxes being loaded into a van and the man who was carrying one of the boxes had on an Obama hat/shirt. Who knows if those ballots got to where they were going.
Thats what is so bad about this election…WAY TOO MUCH FRAUD….Hey I was upset when Kerry lost, but at least he lost fairly….
But now Im told that the Reps stole that election of 2004 along with 2000. ]
What is really sad is that is why many are saying that all the Fraud on the DNC’s part and Obama’s part is OK. Since the GOP stole the 2000 and 2004 election it was ok for the DNC and Obama to steal the primary and the election crookedly.
Hmmmmm and we are wondering why there is so much crime and so much disrepect in the schools.
WAKE UP AMERICA…..It might be a game to you, now but do you really want to be in a country overrun and ruled by criminals and crime?
I am fed up with FOX and hearing about this dam dog that Obama promised his kids geez you would think all that is going on in the country all they can grin about is how cute it was for Obama to be asked by the press about the promised puppy.
I can see four years of this shit, already comedians like Chris Rock are saying its hard to poke fun at Obama because just so cool, yeah right I guess Obama will not get the same treatment as all other Presidents did from these stand up comics.
Maybe we are really going to need another crisis to get the American people to wake up and understand what they have done because I swear they all seem to be still in a dream.
My husband is a Republican, but would have voted for Hillary, but I am having a hard time convincing him that BO intends to redistribute the wealth. He thinks BO cannot take our money or our 401K’s. He says he can’t touch the money we’ve put into the granddkids’ education funds, and I say, he will as as soon as he thinks of it. He’s going to need lots of money. We need to talk to a financial planner up on BOnomics right away.
So many people think he won’t get to do weird things because the democrats will control him.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
control a narcissist. Sheesh!
I have a question. I have been a republican mostly and I know alot of you have been dems, I know that the Repubs almost entirely will oppose Obie’s extreme positions which means all you need is about 5 dems in the senate and ,I dont know, 15% of the dems in the house. Is the democrat party so corrupt that 10% of them will not stand against oppression, socialism, etc. If so how in the world did you support these people all these years? Will Hilary lead a principled opposition?
This time when the crisis comes there wont be anyone to answer the phone. Obama will be out playing the news pimp. All smiles ang giggles.
I was reminded of the Nixon/Watergate dog speech, when Nixon also tried to be cutesy about his dog. Maybe I’ll do a vid on it.
Yah, good ole Checkers, wasn’t it?
The speech was when he was vice president. He was acused of taking dirty money and Ike was going to kick hime off the ticket so he talked about the present his girls were given-the dog Chc=eckers. Denied getting bribes.
During the primaries, he claimed it would be a beagle. Invoking the ‘presidential’ image of LBJ’s dogs?
What for God’s sake is cool about 0bama? He has serious creep vibrations. Well then so does Chris Rock.
Is this going to go back to a dem site now. I was just wondering about the direction.
Was this ever a DEM site???
Yes, it was always a Dem site.
Well, republicans did want Larry dead when he tried to protect and defend Valerie Plame.
Why should it? The Dems gave us HRH the President Elect. Good riddance.
And the Repubs gave us GWB. I wonder if we had a 3rd party, how long it would take for that to become corrupt. Discouraging.
At it’s best, you know, it’s for the US government, country first.
Too bad every blog doesn’t think in that manner.
You either get it, or you don’t.
Both parties are horrifically corrupt, again, an abysmal lack of talent, in Washington.
both parties have good and bad people. It would be nice if all the people who had the same cultural and iritual values (and I mean spiritual values in a nondemoninational way) got together. I think we might be seeing the advent of a new alliance, united against the buying of the presidency.

I think that’s why MOST of us are here!
If Al Franken wins in MN than I’m ready to admit–the end of days is upon us. Franken is a joke of a candidate. The fact he’s a Dem makes no difference, unless, of course, you’re so hopelessly partisan that even a frigging weasel with a Dem button on would qualify.
I will never vote by party affilation alone anymore because clearly there are assholes on each side of the aisle. The Democratic party sold its soul this election season.
It doesn’t mean I’m required to sell mine as well.
Thank you, grumpy old man. Though I could not access the vid, I appreciate the sentiment. Not going to take it any more. Not going to go along to get along, period.
And yes, to anyone asking–this is mostly a Dem group. But we never drank the koolaid. So don’t expect us to “play nice” anytime soon.
Comment by Madelyn Dunham.
November 8th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Not to change the subject but has any heard anything more about Obama’s grandmother Madelyn Payne Dunham. You’d think that Obama would be off to Hawaii by now for a service of some sort. I actually thought Obama would have left the day after the election for a break(many president elects have done that)to mourn his grandmother with his wife, sister, close friends and family.
Madelyn Payne Dunham died 7 days ago, late Sunday night in her apartment. Her death blared in every type of medium late Monday evening, almost 24 hours later brought tears to many, even those who did not support Obama.
Yet now 7 days later not one mention of a service or ??? has been made. If nothing else I thought that some type of announcement for those who wanted to honor his grandmother someway. You know donate to a charity or something in her name.
I cant tell you that there are many many different stories/theories that I have been reading in the blogs. So far I have not seen any new media or service announcement since Monday evening.
To me it was and is strange that there are no recent pictures of this lady, with or without Obama. By recent, Im talking in the last 2 or 3 years even. The most recent pics seem to be 10 to 20 years old, the ones with Obama seem to be from his early College or High School years.
I guess you haven’t seen the announcement about the family’s request for memorials to be made to any worthy organization in search for a cure for cancer because the joint release from Obama and his sister was made by the Obama campaign.
Look, people do these things their own way. My aunt died in April; the memorial service still hasn’t been held because she was in one place and each of her daughters were in other places, and they haven’t gotten it together yet. My own father’s cremated remains were not buried for over a year and a half after his death. I didn’t even attend my step-grandfather’s funeral, because it was 600 miles away and I made the effort to get there a couple of weeks before he died, knowing that he didn’t have long. That’s a hell of a lot more important, and Obama did that. And I’m sure everyone here attributed some foul motive to that, as well.
There’s no rule that says you have to have a funeral within X days of someone’s death. At the very least, this crowd should be relieved that the service and burial wasn’t done before sundown the day of death. You know, like the Muslims do.
hey Jennifer…why don’t you hack up that hairball you’ve ingested, it might clear your brain
Jennifer, what is your game plan here? Why are you here? Do you honestly think you are going to change any minds about Obama? Get it through your thick head. We despise the man. We hate the man with a passion that refuses to die, and refuses to be pacified. We loathe him. We already KNOW what he is. He is a liar, a fraud, a cheat, a thug, a criminal, and a thief. He is a racist, he is a sexist, he is a juvenile delinquent that has never grown up. He is the pure incarnation of everything that has ever defined the word evil. Does that clear it up for you? Aren’t you missing out on your evening task of writing your new love song for your Messiah over at Daily Kos? Get thee away from me Satan!
Well, at least you’re clear on why you imagine all these things - you’ve already decided you hate the guy, he’s the worst guy that ever lived, etc etc. Think that might be coloring your grasp of logic and reason?
I could care less about changing anyone’s minds about whether they like Obama or not. I’m just here holding up a mirror, and thinking that maybe some of you aren’t so far gone that you fail to see Pam Geller (Atlas Shrugs) looking back at you.
The problem is when you start out by defining someone as the embodiment of pure evil who will destroy all goodness and light, where do you go if…uh…you happen to be wrong and he actually does a good job on a few things? I mean, I hate Bush with the white hot heat of a thousand suns and think he’s the biggest disaster that ever happened to this country, but even at that, I can acknowledge that in regard to AIDS in Africa, he did some good. But then again, I’m a rational person.
Really?? You’re the only spouting Koolaid-ridden nonsense about the President Elect’s supposedly stellar character and intelligence, to no avail I might add. I don’t call that holding up a mirror.
I don’t think anyone who intimating that someone is hiding his sick grandmother - or worse yet that she died years ago and he pretended it happened the day before an election - or questions how the family deals with their private grief - is in any position whatsoever to be referring to anyone else as a “Koolaid” drinker.
“Koolaid drinker” refers to someone whose mind cannot be changed, who has pre-determined that X person is bad/good and so their every thought, action, or motive is bad/good. Look in that mirror again.
What are you talking about? I didn’t say anything about his grandmother. I don’t doubt she just died out in Hawaii. Obama’s aura has clouded your perception.
Gee, I guess that makes us even, since I haven’t been “spouting” anything about anyone’s “stellar character and intelligence”, either. I’ve just been pointing out the general irrationality around here. You’re welcome to cut and paste anything I said that even approaches “spouting” about “stellar character and intelligence” that I’ve said - good luck with that.
No one who is for Obama is a rational person.
You have been sucked by an illusion.
You have no idea who he is or what he really believes — because no one knows this.
You chose to ignore the FACT that Obama is part of the Chicago political machine — which has some of the most corrupt politics in the US.
You chose to ignore the FACT that Obama cheated the to get the nomination.
You chose to ignore the FACT that millions of tainted and illegal funds fueled his campaign.
Obama ran one of the most corrupt and damaging campaign in history — and he slandered, belittled, denigrated, and insulted women whenever he had a chance.
Obama is one of the overtly sexist candidates in recent history — he flat out has no respect for women.
Any women who supports Obama is a self hating women. Period.
Any women who enabled Obama to get where he is today is an enemy of women. Period.
Anyone who supports Obama has no capacity for logical thinking or reasoning ability.
Anyone who voted for Obama simply because of the color of his skin is a racist.
Obama has set race relations and the possibility of gender equality back 100 years.
Obama is currently trying to destroy a good and honest politician — Sarah Palin.
So yes Obama is a very evil man.
Hey, if all that stuff is true, then you should have no problem proving it with actual facts and evidence. So get to work on that. Until then, you just look like a loon.
PS - your opinion does not constitute a “fact” or “evidence”. Give us the real goods, please.
Give who the facts? You’re a one-woman sideshow. The facts have been posted all over this board for months which you’d know if you bad been sober (sans Koolaid) during that time period. We have neither the need nor the desire to explain anything to you. Besides, there’s no reasoning with hypnotized, programmed Obots.
Jennifer
Seriously I thought you were leaving. I guess your as honest as your messiah.
Since Barry has been married to Michelle for some time that may explain most of his hatred for women, it may also explain his hatred of draft horses.
That is good too know. I do wish Obama’s family the best in this matter.
Like another person I am curious why there were no pics, interviews and etc in the last what serveral years or Decade.
Another weird question was why did Michelle say that Grannie was ok. And just why didnt the Michelle and/or the kids go?
But as someone said with so many questions unanswered or answered untruthfully one starts to wonder if it another cry for wolf or ???
There is actually video of Madelyn Dunham taken within the past year. Go look it up on YouTube. There was a also a picture of her and Obama hugging from (I believe) the trip he and his family took to see her in August.
Links please Little Miss Know It All Jennifer.
What happened to Jennifer. I was just getting to like her!
If I give you links, you might end up on the Great Satan’s site, which would take over your computer and hypnotize your mind into following the one true faith. But here goes: the video, taken when she was 85 years old. As for the photo, it seems I am mistaken - the one I thought was recent actually isn’t.
See? Non-Koolaid drinkers don’t have to make stuff up and can acknowledge when they are wrong.
What’s your purpose, Jennifer. We already know Obama is a mysogynistic, lying creep. You won’t convince anyone here that Obama is the messiah.
Quoting anything from Daily Kos over here will be met with sheer ridicule, uproarious laughter, and incredulity. We’re still waiting on proof from Daily Kos about how Baby Trigg was really the love child of Bristol Palin and her dad, Todd. And the absolute proof that Sara Palin was wearing a fake pregnancy suit to cover for her daughter. So don’t go running your mouth about the whitey tape until you produce evidence proving baby Trigg is really Bristol Palins.
Didn’t you say you were leaving?
they always say that, flip floppers, just like their messiah.
I normally just read, but your comment about Obama’s grandmother made me decide to say something. I have been wondering about her service or whatever and I haven’t been able to find anything out about this. I had mentioned to my daughter that there hadn’t been any recent pictures of her. Since he didn’t seem to take any time off to attend her service, I have begun to wonder if this was all a political stunt. I certainly hope that wasn’t what happened.
Here is a site Obama as he grew up….the last picture of Obama’s grandmother is in the 80s when he was in New York. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/politics/orl-chi-obama-all-pg,0,4846465.photogallery
Strange that there would not be any picture of Madelyn Dunham and her granddaughters? None of her at the wedding apparently.
Sorry but I would really like to know who this guy is and his past does represent who he is now.
she probly died years ago and he was looking for pity votes
That’s what I have been saying, too?
All through the campaign it seemed odd to me that we never saw this woman. There was never even a private interview with the reporter of Obama’s choosing.
Very odd, but then he is very odd and I must add creepy!
Seems like I heard the creepy remark from some media people who apparently were Pro Obama during the election.
Yes, like the editors of Newsweek on the Rose show.
The things we don’t know about this man could have filled that stadium in Denver when he made his selection speech. I wonder if the press will ever do their job, and inquire, ask questions, etc. You know the things they used to do bo (before Obama).
I am beginning to believe that Soros money can buy off just about anybody and any news organization.
There are major holes in his life timeline that NO OTHER candidate would ever get away with. And it is RACIST NOT to ask. To lower the standards for someone merely because of the color of his skin is racist.
Whereas women must be superior — and yet when they are clearly superior they are told — sorry you don’t have enough “experience”.
Experience is the code word for — NO PENIS.
The continuing treatment of Sarah Palin is beyond disgusting — what can we do as mere voters (whose vote does not count) to show our support for Sarah? I am certain camp O is behind this and perhaps the Mitt Romney camps (Mormons are as sexists as the liberals).
Obama is one president elect (I refuse to say President until the day he is sworn in.)that we know the least about, especially in this day and age. There are a ton of holes in his resume, especially during his college years.
What is strange is that we know more about a simple voter, Joe the Plumber…Strange.
What is more maddening if that Obama probably could not get 70% or more of the jobs for the people that will be helping him. In other words Obama is not capable of passing a Security Background Check
Found the video but its less than 5 secs of her speaking. But it is not her hugging him…
There were some further comments to news people but not really anything about her views about Obama.
http://www.mahalo.com/Madelyn_Dunham
Obama went to see Granny alone both times.
There must have been a rift between MO and Granny. Maybe MO doesn’t like typical white persons, you think?
In the many years that Obama and Michelle were married…(Isnt it close to or more than 20 years) there are no pictures of Obama’s Grandmother with the grandkids or Michelle.
Im sorry but that is very strange.
You cant say they were too poor to travel over there or bring Grandma to Chicago for it loooks like they were making way over 100 k for at least a decade or more.
Obama is the epitomy of teflon, doesn’t matter who he associates with, nothing sticks!
Back to the original topic… I totally remember this movie! I have been mad as hell and I am not going to take it! The guy ended up commiting suicide? I really hope this is not where America is headed. This site is amazing..I thought I was the only one who thought the media and Obama was smugg?
I am sure they did…it was an absentee ballot.
I would love to see Fred Thompson on the 2012 ticket and although I strongly disagree with the remarks about Sarah Palin( I think she is very bright and she would do exactly what she promised, to reform)
I think at this point now she would have a very hard time running in 2012.
I think women in general have a very slim chance of getting elected. There is still the age old idea that women are not strong enough to lead.
It is a far out dated way of thinking and our country will pay the price for it.
All I know is I want someone in office that will protect everything that we hold dear. Our freedom and what our founding fathers layed out for us. Obama said he wanted to unite the country but I feel like we are more divided now than ever
Guys, this is an excellent editorial. Please go read it! At least sanity in other coutries is still the norm!
