RBO: “’60s radicals suddenly tumbling out of the woodwork”

(We hope to write more about this conference at NoQuarter. Here is the link to the NYTimes story.)

Cross posted from RBO. Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn wouldn’t say a word to reporters about their relationship to Barack Obama during the campaign. Absolute silence ensued when they were approached. As predicted, suddenly, they have found their voice–and no doubt revived their plans. Blast From The Past Tom Hayden is suddenly rearing his head as well.

Only this time, their backs are a bit sore from age, so they have younger suckers to be molded into doing their bidding for them. And as you can see from this piece, they fully intend to utilize them.

And of course, Reverend Goddamn AmerkiKKA is making his visible comeback as well…..

It’s also not surprising that the NY Times would be stoking this fire. I always said that the only reason they endorsed Barack Obama was that Karl Marx wasn’t available.

Welcome back to the ’60s, compliments of Barack Obama and his domestic terrorist friends. I hope you have protection and I’m not talking birth control here. These are people who have made it clear in the past that they despise Democracy, capitalism and America–although they all certainly seem to have no problem capitalizing on capitalism…..

A running prediction has been that as soon as the presidential election was over Barack Obama’s ultra leftwing supporters would be front and center on panels, writing articles, speaking, etc.

Already we’ve had unrepentant Communist terrorist Billy Ayers’ whiney-assed missive published November 7, 2008, at leftie In These Times and reposted elsewhere. See RBO’s Time to shut up now, Bill.

Then we had Obama’s spiritual mentor and pastor of 20+ years, Rev. Jeremiah “God-Damn-AmeriKKKa” Wright, as keynote speaker for the FMO State of the Black Union at Chicago’s Northwestern University, with Billy Ayers in the audience. See RBO’s Wright speaks, Ayers listens.

Now we have the New York Times’ Manny Fernandez’s November 9, 2008, article 1960s Radicals Predict Rebirth of Social Activism, reporting on a meeting of “three former political radicals” at the Steven Kasher Gallery in Chelsea — Tom Hayden, founder of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and a member of the Chicago Seven, “tried on charges of conspiring to incite a riot at the Democratic National Convention in 1968″; Weather leader Bernardine Dohrn, unrepentant Communist terrorist and wife of Billy Ayers; and Jamal Joseph, who as a young Black Panther in Harlem “went to prison in the ’80s for harboring a fugitive” — to “discuss the 1960s and the impact of an Obama presidency on the American political left.”

The moderator was Joshua Micah Marshall, editor and publisher of the leftie political blog Talking Points Memo, which provided a platform for vicious Lobotobots.

The discussion on Saturday was organized to promote an exhibition of photographs by David Fenton, who chronicled street protests and the lives of counterculture figures in the late 1960s and early ’70s. The exhibition, which runs until Nov. 26 at the Steven Kasher Gallery, features more than 75 photographs of Columbia University protests, Central Park be-ins and Black Panther demonstrations. Mr. Fenton went on to become chief executive of Fenton Communications, which represents the liberal antiwar group MoveOn.org.

Mr. Fenton, who also sat on the panel, said he had not seen Ms. Dohrn since he photographed the Days of Rage protests in Chicago in 1969.

Fernandez provided the singular quote that even remotely justifies his article’s title:

Hayden said “young Obama supporters ‘will determine the role of social activism for the next 30 years’ and will be inspired by Mr. Obama to pursue community organizing work instead of Wall Street jobs. ‘A community organizer has been elected president of the United States…’”

Nothing like a trio of aging gray-haired terrorists to tell us what Obama’s young supporters might do. But then, when you think about it, they have been engaged for a few decades programming and indoctrinating those young’ns.
