Revenue to the State of Alaska is not a tax on the rest of the country. Any more than payments to Texas on an oil lease are a tax on Minnesotta. You’re a moron.

Okay, fine, you don’t like Governor Palin of Alaska. I’d be curious to see copies of the letters of outrage you’ve written to other states complaining about their revenue collections from natural resource leases.

Oh, wait. Is it just about Plain? I’m sorry. I assumed you were a fair and open minded citizen who was just expressing an opinion on the transfer of wealth.

You should apply for a position in the New Messiah’s cabinet. They’re going to be checking to see that no state is allowed to collect any funds for resources extracted from their land. After all, that would be a TAX on the rest of the nation.

Actually, I have another suggestion.

Take that shite (used the Scottish version so don’t correct my spelling) somewhere where somebody’s buying it.

I would hope people not pressure Gov. Palin to run in 2012 so quickly. A lot depends on how BO performs as POTUS. If he does an adequate job and remains popular among those who voted for him, I would advise Palin against a run in 2012.

I will. She’s earned it- you know, by succeeding in a real executive position.

btw,
How’d you like Ayers and Wright on the main stage this week?
Any thoughts on the Chicago Style cabinet appointments underway?
Ready to give your current money and future earnings to welfare recipients and failing industries Obama owes favors to?
Are you girding your loins against the multiple ultimatums Obama has already received from foreign leaders?
Are you proud of your country for the first time with the likes of Hamas, Qadafi, Castro, Chavez, Ayers, Wright, and Michelle?
Are you happy with the way Obama spent his illegal contributions?
Does it bother you that your President elect thinks so little of you , he won’t even calm people’s fears by showing his birth certificate? Wonder what else he won’t do for American citizens?

If you can condone any of these things- your opinion on anything is useless.
If you can’t, you owe an apology.

Very Liberal American author, teacher, feminist and social critic, Camile Paglia still loves Governor Sarah Palin.

Good Read: http://www.salon.com/opinion/paglia/2008/11/12/palin/index1.html

No amount of media spin can stop Governor Palin. She is the real deal and millions know it.

Comment by torland077 | 2008-11-12 01:21:25

I like Sarah Palin, and I’ve heartily enjoyed her arrival on the national stage. As a career classroom teacher, I can see how smart she is — and quite frankly, I think the people who don’t see it are the stupid ones, wrapped in the fuzzy mummy-gauze of their own worn-out partisan dogma. So she doesn’t speak the King’s English — big whoop! There is a powerful clarity of consciousness in her eyes. She uses language with the jumps, breaks and rippling momentum of a be-bop saxophonist. I stand on what I said (as a staunch pro-choice advocate) in my last two columns — that Palin as a pro-life wife, mother and ambitious professional represents the next big shift in feminism. Pro-life women will save feminism by expanding it, particularly into the more traditional Third World.

As for the Democrats who sneered and howled that Palin was unprepared to be a vice-presidential nominee — what navel-gazing hypocrisy! What protests were raised in the party or mainstream media when John Edwards, with vastly less political experience than Palin, got John Kerry’s nod for veep four years ago? And Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas, for whom I lobbied to be Obama’s pick and who was on everyone’s short list for months, has a record indistinguishable from Palin’s. Whatever knowledge deficit Palin has about the federal bureaucracy or international affairs (outside the normal purview of governors) will hopefully be remedied during the next eight years of the Obama presidencies.

The U.S. Senate as a career option? What a claustrophobic, nitpicking comedown for an energetic Alaskan — nothing but droning committees and incestuous back-scratching. No, Sarah Palin should stick to her governorship and just hit the rubber-chicken circuit, as Richard Nixon did in his long haul back from political limbo following his California gubernatorial defeat in 1962. Step by step, the mainstream media will come around, wipe its own mud out of its eyes, and see Palin for the populist phenomenon that she is.

Camile Paglia.

She Nails It!

Comment by Mike | 2008-11-12 04:30:33

So she doesn’t speak the King’s English — big whoop! There is a powerful clarity of consciousness in her eyes…. The U.S. Senate as a career option? What a claustrophobic, nitpicking comedown for an energetic Alaskan

Couldn’t have said it better… A lot of people are judging her based on how she talks and the endless Tina Fey caricatures they saw on SNL. But to do so is just as good as saying one judges books by their covers. There is something to Gov. Palin. Otherwise, someone wouldn’t have written a book about her — before anyone knew who in the heck she was — saying there’s something unique about this Gov.

She won’t run for Ted Steven’s seat in the senate. She’s already said that in bobandmark’s radio interview last week and again to Matt Lauer this morning. She’ll remain as Gov. of Alaska. I hope people don’t push her to run prematurely in 2012. I’d only want her to run if BO doesn’t do a good job. You only get one chance to run for POTUS, so if things are great for all in 2012 and BO is still popular, I doubt any RNC candidate could win. Palin has a lot of time. She could run in 8 years.

Comment by oowawa | 2008-11-12 09:07:14

She uses language with the jumps, breaks and rippling momentum of a be-bop saxophonist.

An enlightening observation. Her natural spontaneous speaking style is certainly out of the mainstream, and those who are used to the practiced sedate cliches and careful platitudes of politics-as-usual find her jarring, threatening, and unpolished. This is real life speaking here–direct and unafraid, strange to an audience conditioned by so many years of listening to empty boring political elevator muzak.

Comment by Winston | 2008-11-12 01:01:56

The Acornbots are so afraid of Governor Palin. Here is why they are afraid. The DNC needs to be able to play the Gender-Card and the Race-Card to win.

With Palin they lose the Gender-Card and if enough women wake up the Leftist wing of the DNC can’t win.

It is that simple.

That is why the DNC went completely off the charts to trash Clarence Thomas. He was a threat to their Gender-Card. Same way they attack Condi Rice.

Comment by Galt's Pizza Parlor | 2008-11-12 01:05:15

Comment by Winston | 2008-11-12 01:57:44

How exactly does one play the race-card AGAINST an African-American?

The Race-Card means calling someone a racist for any criticism against Obama.

Playing the Gender-Card means calling someone a sexist for any criticism against a woman.

The DNC won by playing the race card every other day. No one could criticise Obama without being called a racist.

You don’t seem to even understand the use of these common terms.

LOS ANGELES — In his first interview since conceding the election, John McCain said Tuesday that Sarah Palin did not damage his presidential bid, and he dismissed anonymous criticism aimed at her.

”I’m so proud of her, and I’m very grateful she agreed to run with me. She inspired people. She still does,” McCain told Jay Leno during a ”Tonight Show” Tuesday night. ”I couldn’t be happier with Sarah Palin.”

It is a snake pit (both sides of the aisle) & the Palins deserve better. But having said that I think she would be a great asset on the national stage. How anyone that watched this interview could say she is a “dummy” is beyond me. This is a bright, insightful, down to earth woman….no frills, matter of fact & no artifice. The ‘insiders’ are very fearful of someone that won’t play the game by the rules that they have written.

The Newsweek editors on Charlie Rose are right, Obama is creepy — but we PUMAs knew this already.

President Ocreep will lose reelection to a Republican in 2012. His presidency will be more disastrous than Carter’s.

Comment by Diana | 2008-11-12 06:45:43

I sincerely hope Sarah runs again in 2012 and this time at the top of the ticket. I’ve already decided if she runs again I am voting for her. I will work her campaign. Wherever it’s needed. I’m done with all the silliness that ensued this year. The DNC has no plans to change, McCain got close to 3 million Democrat votes.

I think by 2012 there will be a lot more Democrats living in reality, and the party of Defeatist(Republicans)will have woken up to just what they allowed to happen. As Arnold says they’ve become the party of Sissy Girls because they got their “A”s handed to them on a silver platter in 2006 for not doing the jobs they were entrusted to do. Instead of waking up, they walked around sucking their thumbs. 2 years is long enough of sitting around feeling sorry for youself, acting like a bunch of babies that are unable to get back on your feet.

At least we’ve awaken to the fact of what both parties are about and will no longer look at the party, but the candidate.

Comment by J.J. (The PUMA) | 2008-11-12 09:42:23

I’ve changed my mind about her going to the Senate. I think it is better that whenever she runs for president, she will be an outsider.

The real reason for their nasty posts:
1. They are “little” men and feel the need to “compensate” any time a woman threatens them.
2. They haven’t received a “rebate” check from their leader, and therefore are smarmy because they can’t get that new video game they’ve been hoping for…( can’t blame “the-one”, must take out their frustrations somewhere….)
3. They secretly love Sarah Palin: If you really don’t like someone, you don’t pay any attention to them; you have no desire to give them any of your time….. however, when you have a secret crush….

All Presidents have had links to secretive powerful groups working toward a One World Government
over the past 50 years.

Obama has his bases covered with the Council on
Foreign Relations, his main advisor, Brezinski,
a founder of the Trilateral Commission, and most

And don’t forget to wear your tinfoil hat.

Some grand conspiracy if it takes 50 years. And good luck herding all us cats into one government.

There’s no business like NWO business.

The various NWO fronts have a firm grip on the elites of both parties. Whoever is elected, watch those new administrations, like clockwork, fill up with CFR hacks every four years.

Obama lied after his first press conference.

Reagan Insider Refutes Obama Claim of ‘Warm Conversation’ After Press Conf. Insult

He insults, you guessed it, another woman.

How do you know when OVomit’s lying?

His (purple) lips are moving.

Of COURSE he had no such “warm” conversation with Nancy Reagan. And poor Ronnie. Rolling over in his grave thinking of Moose in the White House.

I’ve decided all stories with anonymous sources should be taken with a grain of salt and tossed into the National Enquirer pile.

Who knows?

This is the type of deal that Palin is dealing with now. I’m done with journalists. They used to check stories out and verify the information. Obviously, that’s not the standard now. So anonymous means, “I can make up anything I want to say.”

Though this is a serious topic, if you can read this article without cracking up laughing at (at least) a few lines written, well then… you’re lying that you didn’t burst out laughing or, you have no sense of humor at all!

This campaign was very distressing.

However, Sarah made a point : men and wome are not equal. Women are better.

After watching McCain tonight on Leno, I really thought McCain didn’t have it in him to ever really criticize BO and fight to win the election. He always seemed to ride the fence when it came to pointing out what’s wrong with BO. He said nothing new on Leno… didn’t criticize “anonymous” campaign aide attacks on Palin. He sounded the same. He said Gov. Palin has a beautiful family and “first dude” broke his arm once yet finished a snowmachine race….. I know, I know. I’ve heard him say this before on the campaign trail.

In the end, Gov. Palin was verbally fighting harder than McCain to win the election. Tonight is the first time I thought, I’m glad BO won (and I voted for McCain). Palin would only be great if she can effect policy, and VPs can’t do that. If McCain won but only did an average job as POTUS, Palin would’ve been adversely affected. She’d be better off running for POTUS someday on her own with her own handpicked staff. Palin said on bobandmark, if she were to run, it would be an unconventional run…. she said she’s not sure the country is ready for it.

You’re right…the biggest plus of an Obama presidency, assuming we have a democratic America that is still standing in four years, is that Palin will probably have a better chance running on her own for the top spot in 2012. If she was McCain’s VP we’d have a Democrat in 2012…sadly, though, that Dem might have been HILLARY.

Comment by John Smith | 2008-11-12 06:38:33

I agree with this as well. McCain just did not have it in him to really fight for the POTUS His never ending admiration for BO was driving me crazy. Palin will do very well on her own. Maybe she can select a women for VP. I really think it is time for man to get out of the way and let a women take over. Its not like they have done a very good job over the last 30 years or so. Look where we are now.

Sarah Palin is smart and a good person. She and HRC both demonstrated the strength and integrity it takes for women to succeed in spite of double standards. I’m grateful to both of them for having stood up for truth and fair play–especially in the face of all the dirty tricks and double-dealing by Obama and the DNC. Obama is a brand that was packaged and sold to the public; but he is an empty promise and definitely the least qualified of most of those who ran for office in this election. Time will prove those of us who left the Democratic Party to support McCain and Palin right–sadly….

I have come to realize that liberal Democrats, of whom I once counted myself a member, are intolerant, racist, sexist and every bit as closed-minded as those on the far right they love to hate….The $600 million Obama raised largely went to pay for the media, which liberal Democrats believe is reality. It isn’t. It is just paid-for advertising all served up in pretty pictures and catchy, soap-opera like narration. This election has opened my eyes and broken my heart. Let’s hope it doesn’t mark the further downfall of our country.

I really like this woman….as far as admiration and inspiration she’s up there with Ayaan Hirsi Ali. I used to respect (though disagree with her political approaches) Hillary Clinton…but she blew it by sell out to the devil.

I do understand that Hillary faced tremendous political pressure and did what she had to do for her survival, but she chose herself over her country! To me that is cowardly and selfish–this is especially reprehensible when I think of the regular men and women of this country who chose to sacrifice their LIVES to protect and serve this country voluntarily out of pure selflessness every day.

She’s a blood sucking parasite like the rest of them in office. Sorry to say it.
