I had to laugh at the second video. Obama didn’t use his race as a political advantage? PLEASE!!!!

James,
I totally agreed. All I could do was shake my head and wonder what universe they were in???????

Holy Mackerel Mudhead……..
Need a tissue?

Actually, I need a BARF BAG

If that ass hat from the New Yorker creams himself over Obama any more , I think it will qualify as pornography.

I have never seen such mindless adulation and idolotry….political masturbation …before in my life.

It is truly weird and really repulsive.

Comment by DanNY | 2008-11-13 01:25:02

FUCK! How can they think that they can feed us pure BULL SHIT day in and day out and we’ll continue to watch this kind of CRAP.

I personally will never buy, read or go to the web site of the New Yorker or the NY Times. Even if Obama turns out to be the most fabu President – I won’t reward the butt lickers of the Obama…

Comment by AnnieCollier | 2008-11-13 01:28:25

Yes, I’ve unsubscribed to the NY Times online as well…useless drivel.

Comment by BernieO | 2008-11-13 07:18:44

I still read their op ed page but NEVER click on to this guy or Maureen Dowd. I think that probably sends a stronger message – or would if more of us did this. They would see that these fools specifically are losing readers. The Times keeps track of who is read and emailed. Ditto for the Washington Post. I never click on David Broder, Eugene Robinson and rarely Richard Cohen.

I couldn’t watch the whole thing…utterly deaf, dumb and blind…the lot of them. If I see that New Yorker cover on the news stand, I may lose it.

Comment by NYU | 2008-11-13 01:41:02

How pathetic these people are!

Comment by NYU | 2008-11-13 01:43:53

I meant the ones from MSNBC, New Yorker, NYTimes, etc. Disgusting!

Comment by BJ | 2008-11-13 02:05:14

Comment by helenk | 2008-11-13 02:13:10

Is this what happens when you hire steno school dropouts instead of real journalists?
They have no clue to what journalism means.
Before printing or broadcasting you are supposed to
verify with at least two different sources, be independent and just state facts not opinions.
Most of all Stand Up for the Truth not kneel down to be stepped on and dispised.

Comment by FranSC | 2008-11-13 02:19:24

It is disgusting beyond words! But the bad news is, their loyal viewers agree 100%. Is there any chance these people are going to be awakened to the harsh reality that this is a fantasy concocted by all of them. Or, is it, as I fear, something BO will grow into and keep fantasy Island alive and well. It is very unsettling to be on the outside looking in at this mass deception from all corners.

Comment by connie | 2008-11-13 02:29:30

What I wonder is who and why have they selected this guy. He is so unprepared to be President and has so many bad folks in his background. I guess as time goes on we will find out who they are and why they wanted Barack!

The coming world wide depression.

Comment by terrirobin | 2008-11-13 03:44:19

Then it was ironic that Mike Barnicle was part of this conversation. The man who is use to making up his own news stories and also a plagerist, no less, Talk about Fantasy.

Comment by BJ | 2008-11-13 05:56:05

Isn’t Barnicle the prick who said Hillary should be taken in the back room and only the other guy comes out? If I recall it was he who said it, among other horrible things about her (back when I used to watch hardball).. they made those kind of comments daily about Clinton as they laughed about her and her campaign.

Comment by DAB | 2008-11-13 08:59:24

Actually that was Olbermann.

Comment by Anon | 2008-11-13 11:27:15

No he was the one who said that Hillary was like the irritating ex wife.

?????? WOW!!! I’m soooo humbled by the towering intellect on display by these clips that I’m left to wonder why there is any poverty, war, sadness, or discomfort in the world when there are individuals such as these that have such seemingly devine solutions to all of our problems. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such a cornucopia of brilliant thoughts, observations, solutions, and ruminations rendered down into such a succinct and convincing dialogue. It is certainly a stark reminder to me that I should never attempt to place any value on my own thoughts since I’m a barely functioning product of a modest background and education. Or…….

I’ve just wasted 20 minutes of my life watching this bilge. Thanks ALOT!

Comment by AnnieCollier | 2008-11-13 03:10:40

Well, bad on you andrew191. I couldn’t stomach more than 30 seconds of any of the above.

Comment by andrew191 | 2008-11-13 04:08:25

Maybe I’m a masochist, or I was just waiting for the punch line that never came. Next time a warning that the videos could induce catatonia should be posted, as a simple courtesy.

Comment by andrew191 | 2008-11-13 04:14:02

Wasn’t torture outlawed?

Comment by BernieO | 2008-11-13 07:53:55

Not anymore! Maybe in this administration we could just force people to listen to guys like Friedman, Beschloss, Doris Kearns Goodwin blah blah blah. I know I would do anything to stop that kind of torture.

I am suprised, however, that so many of you are surprised. Haven’t you noticed how so many pundits haved talked about Reagan for years as if he were a God? And the Clintons are evil incarnate! Gore is a delusional self promoter. Notice how Joe talks here about how computers changed things? Funny how no one wants to give Gore the credit he deserves for being a driving force behind the creation of the internet, getting Congress to put up the funding that was needed to extend it to the public. (Newt Gingrich is one of the few people I have heard give Gore credit for this. Go figure.)That was a brilliant achievement yet it was twisted by the media to harm Gore. I once heard Chris Matthews mock Gore for claiming to invent the internet, then admit he knew this wasn’t the truth. Guess what. He resumed the charge a few days later because it was too much fun.

Comment by DAB | 2008-11-13 09:04:53

I agree with your assessment. The Media is not really a left-wing entity. They just make sure they choose one party over the over then relentlessly pick on the other one. They are truly masochistic, power-hungry creeps. Enough already!

As for Remnick, what an abysmal lack of discernment. It appears that the self-described intellectuals/elite are probably the most gullible and clueless group around. They should know better so they have no excuse for their pathetically blind ponderings.

Comment by DAB | 2008-11-13 09:05:43

…or is that “panderings”?

Comment by C.S. | 2008-11-13 09:43:46

Maybe the problem is that “media” is not really journalism and therefore does not have the same ethical standards that real journalists do.

media – technology for spreading information.

journalism – writing characterized by a direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation.

The only thing The Pretender needed to do to win over the black vote was throw the white side of his family under the bus.

Guess what? He’s NOT the first African-American President (select). He’s the first BI-RACIAL President (select).

Do they really believe this fantasy they’re putting out there? Or when the cameras stop shooting, do they fall on the floor laughing at the wild fabrications people are buying into?

It’s gonna be a looooooooonnnnnnnnnnng 4 years.

To them, 0bannion is AA. He’s as Black as they can stand a POTUS to be. Latte liberals want to believe that they down.

Comment by mountainaires | 2008-11-13 11:06:44

Hey, I love Doris Kearns Goodwin! Read Team of Rivals; it’s brilliant. And, I’m happy for Obama that he’s the first black president, and has made history. But now, he’s got to govern, and he’s taking office in the WORST moment in our history–he not only may have to govern during the next depression [don't doubt it] but he’s also going to be governing at a moment in time when our national security is in grave danger here on our own soil. A large-scale attack will bring martial law [don't doubt it] and food shortages [Katrina on a massive scale] and medical emergencies we are unprepared to deal handle adequately.

I’m a reality-based truth seeker. I hoped McCain would win–experience, character, proven leadership–but we have Obama. And, we are facing a SERIOUS, SOBERING moment in our history, people. It’s time to wake up to the fact that if Obama is not up to the task, the entire ship could go down, and that means with all of you on it.

So, be careful what you wish for; you just might get it.

Comment by cookiegramma | 2008-11-13 16:11:45

Fortunately for us, when the trouble does come, we will not be looking to Washington to save us like Obama’s supporters will be doing.

Look no-one really wants to see another attack on the country, and I for one do not like what I fear is coming down the pike on the economy. I too wanted McCain. He may not have been perfect, but he is a fighter and he has some fairly solid life experience behind him. I really fear what will happen with the chosen one. Book learning is all well and good for school, but real life means knowing how to apply what you have learned.

By the way, I agree with you about Kearns Goodwin, and unfortunately about martial law as well.
