Domestic terrorist Bill Ayers on NPR Today, on the usually well-regarded Fresh Air with Terry Gross

(No-Nonsense Nancy submitted a “venting” story, but it is an actual news tip! WTG, intrepid reporter No-Nonsense Nancy! We held this for confirmation but, as the screenshot below shows, Fresh Air finally updated its page. After the show, Nancy will keep an eye on their site, and send us a new story with a link to the audio and, I hope, her impressions of the interview. - Susan)

On Tuesday, Nov. 19th at 3PM — that’s today! — Terri Gross, the typically well-regarded interviewer for NPR, is going to interview Bill Ayers on her Fresh Air show. What is this? I am appalled! First Good Morning America and now NPR, as if he is this good old guy everybody should like. Is he going to get positive press and then worm his way in to the new administration and be accepted by the public? Does it not matter he is an unrepentant terrorist, admitting that he is not only an anarchist but a Marxist? If this is any indication of what to expect after January, I’m more scared than before.

Ayers may well be a Marxist, but I rather doubt it. Are there any true Marxists left?

In any case, if he’s socialist, etc., so are a lot of the country’s lefties. That doesn’t make him evil. That just makes him pretty pedantic, in my mind.

I think he’s getting attention because the story reminded people of his past, and they are curious. Good “color” story, in other words.

Nothing more.

Comment by lark | 2008-11-18 14:10:04

Yeah. Besides he will be going to Caracas soon to take a leading professorship at the newly established university of socialism.

HE IS A TERRORIST — HE WILL ALWAYS BE A TERRORIST.

He has just found other ways to be destructive.

Lark — I hope he does go away — but I won’t wish him on any other country.

He should be on a devil’s island — on a prison work farm.

Not big on due process, I take it.

You really can’t see the difference between Bill Ayers and Osama bin Laden?

I would respectfully suggest that either your logic is faulty, or your knowledge of what Bill Ayers actually stood for, actively resisted, and actually did.

Comment by FembotsForObama | 2008-11-18 17:22:23

Ayers was a member of a militant organization that believed in using violence — blowing up buildings without regard to public safety (including a judge and his family) — to make more people aware and to encourage an ending to the Vietnam War. They used violence because they believed that they were morally right about the war, and had a moral imperative to do everything they could to end it because other methods of protesting weren’t working . They envisioned themselves as a type of “freedom fighters” who were fighting a revolution.

How is this different than foreign terrorists? They also believe that they are right and have a moral imperative to resort to violent measures to make their issues of protest known.

It is simply naive to believe that blowing up buildings or any other form of infrastructure may not involve the possibility of innocent citizens’ being harmed or killed.

The undercover FBI agent who infiltrated the Weather Underground, Larry Grathwol, has stated that Ayers showed little concern for the probability that innocent people would be harmed by their bombs. Ayers’ wife, Dohrn also was a member of the WU when they successfully bombed and killed a SF policeman’s association.

It is simply naive to believe that blowing up buildings or any other form of infrastructure may not involve the possibility of innocent citizens’ being harmed or killed.

So, would that mean that the Bush administration might legitimately be seen as foreign terrorists by Iraqis?

How might Ayers have viewed a government that drafted people his own age to pursue another foreign war that they were morally opposed to? How might he have viewed the shooting of students at Kent State by that same government? What might he have thought about the assassination of a progressive American president, the murder of civil rights activists, or the assassinations of Martin Luther King and RFK?

I’m not justifying what Ayers did, but I understand it. He was a product of the times he lived in. The Weathermen did take care to avoid inflicting harm on human beings. This certainly stands in stark contrast to what we generally think of as terrorists, who make inflicting death and injury their goal. To apply the term to Ayers is to distort what people like Osama bin Laden are. Terrorists are people who have embraced not only a radical political doctrine and unlawful action, but evil.

Well, he’s basically on a book tour right now. He has RE-released his most recent book and is promoting it anywhere they’ll have him. In other words

–The American people do not care one single bit about his relationship with Obama. In fact, according to Rasmussen, Obama’s approval ratings are higher than ever
–Bill Ayers plans to MAKE MONEY off his role in the campaign
–Media outlets are happy to give him a platform to do this

What is going on? I really, really don’t understand it!!!! Sometimes I really think the world has gone crazy.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-11-18 14:14:52

I’d forgotten about that. You’re right. It’s his book tour gig.

Lorelai, I am with you. Bill Ayers is nothing but a rich punk who got his kicks in his youth creating chaos to fill his days. The fact that he wrote his books and dedicated them to the likes of Sirhan Sirhan and cop killers, tells me that he’s completely full of hate and contempt for the very country that gives him his daily comforts. Since when do people like him are called “respected” citizens. He’s no better than Timothy McVeigh.

I told my husband that if this joker finds his way to the WH visiting his dear friend barry, I’m going to be a Republican for life. That kind of trash should never be allowed to set foot in the WH.

Comment by McHope | 2008-11-18 14:15:56

He is a self proclaimed communist and anarchist. He espouses the virtues of socialism and radical overthrow of our capitalist government, including advocating the use of violence to meet his end goals.

While he does believe the youth of the country should be indoctrinated into his way of thinking through education, he is not simply pedantic, as he has bombed federal buildings and caused the loss of human life.

He is a danger, and the misplaced Hollywood drama attributed to him is fool hearty and just plain wrong.

But as we have seen, the media and Hollywood have no sense of right or wrong, good or bad. They do whatever they like because people follow them blindly.

You’re into psychobabble.

BUT…..I was a member of the SDS in my youth. I didn’t have a clue about what was really going on, of course.

It was just an anti-war effort, and I was spot on with that.

The 60’s were a time of rebellion and turmoil, but I definitely was on “that” side, in terms of principles and philosophy.

I don’t feel that way about Iraq. It’s not a draft, for one. I just don’t see it in the same light, so I’m not a “progressive” and never understood the anti-war venom. I understood being angry at Bush over the lie. That was big, serious, and wrong.

But not the war.

Comment by AnnieCollier | 2008-11-18 16:18:01

Annin: I lived in the counter culture during the 60’s, 70’s until the early 80’s. I know a lot of people who were into a lot of different aspects of how to change the world. Not one would sit in the same room with this scum.

He is a man who brutalized one girlfriend (challenging her to prove she wasn’t a racist by forcing her to have sex with a black “friend”) and another one was blown to smithereens in a bomb gone wrong. That he didn’t kill by his own hand is sheer accident and not for the lack of trying.

He is a liar, full of himself, and a danger to our system of government…whether by illegal acts or by influence in the educational system. And that goes for the wife too.

Stop trying to justify this creep. It only makes you sound pathetic.

It’s not gossip. It purports to be a first-hand account, and it’s either the truth, or it’s a baldfaced lie. If it is a lie, it is a very artful and persuasive lie. If it’s the truth, it speaks more about the character of Bill Ayers than anything else I’ve seen. Everyone should evaluate the narrative for themselves.

Boxer Mum, thanks for the link. I actually find no difficulty reconciling the “Donna Ron” of the Ayers account with “Donna Ron,” the Israeli Obama supporter. In fact, it makes sense, and the Obama support statement makes me tend to believe her earlier (2006) account of the Ayers incident.

As a followup to the post above referencing “Donna Ron’s” post on Obama’s site, a commentor on Obama’s blog asked Donna Ron the following (unanswered) questions:

Q1: Are you the same Donna Ron who in 2006 wrote at length in FrontPage Magazine about having been compelled by Obama’s mentor, former Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers, to sleep with his black roommate and with his brother?

Q2: If so, how does the sexually abused Donna Ron feel about Chicago motivational speaker Obama Barack’s long, uncritical association with her sexual abuser, Chicago’s still-crazy-after-all-these-ye ars Bill Ayers? Does it matter?

No one respected them even then because all they did was incite other people to do things (especially her) and never do them themselves and let everyone else go to jail. But anyone who actually reads it [Ayers' book] knows immediately that what he is defending is not opposition to the Vietnam War, but his own and his comrade’s record of terrorism. There were thousands of patriotic Americans who opposed that war — a miniscule minority supported or endorsed the actions of the Weatherman faction of SDS and the bombing campaign they undertook when they went underground. Indeed, most of the mainstream cadre of the organization viewed Ayers and his group as a force that undermined their own credibility and helped to isolate what they hoped was a genuine peace movement.

by ron radosh
from Pajama media (dot) com

Ann — do you why keep coming here and proving that you are a troll?

You are defending a domestic terrorist — the UNIBOMBER is in jail and Ayers is “free as a bird”. Ayers should be in jail — and he is still a terrorist today — he is an unrepentant terrorist. His age does not remove the fact that he tried to bring about change in the US using violent tactics. He is a rich narcissistic immature frat boy.

Anyone who goes around bragging about what he got away with — shows clearly that he is a narcissist — just an old fart narcissist — but he still craves the attention. He is PROUD of what he did.

YOU are defending him and claim that what he did was a long time ago — HE has yet to apologize to the people he terrorized.

He admits he is GUILTY.

YOU claim that what he did was a long time ago. NO he is reliving his past TODAY and forcing many of us to relive days of terror.

What he did cannot be forgive and he cannot be rehabilitated — because he has NEVER admitted that his methods were wrong and that he was responsible for the deaths of many — including the students murdered at Kent State.

I remember when college students were all considered the enemy — bumper stickers on the cars of the old farts told us we were the enemy. Ayers was responsible for this division between generations — and it was he who told students to go home and kill their parents. I NEVER took drugs — I studied hard and got my degrees. I went to college with Vietnam vets who were against the war. My father was career military — opposed to the war, because he saw that it was based on a lie. Ayers harmed the peace movement — and he did it for his own self glory.

Ayers is still an evil person — ruled by his Shadow self. He should be shunned by the media and given zero time.

Boring drivel. Not the interview (which was pretty interesting) but this silly comment on it. Why not wait till you actually hear it before judging?

So the guy’s an “unrepentant terrorist.” Hmmm. It’s kind of hard to “repent” of something one doesn’t admit to. In Ayer’s mind, he was never a terrorist. He’s not very convincing on that score, but lack of “repentance” is kind of a silly thing to add to the counts against him.

And he “admits” to being an anarchist, and — Yikes! a Marxist! You say that as if you’d caught him in some depraved act. Sorry folks, but neither of those ideological stances are crimes in this country.

The guy should have done jail time. The fact he didn’t is due to the hysteria-ridden, ends-justifies-means (er, “no quarter” philosophy?) over-reaching by the federal government, which resulted in the charges against him getting thrown out. We’re seeing the same kind of fiasco now with the “war on terror.”

I’m not happy the fool is pulling in book royalties, but folks have gone way overboard in demonizing him.

Remember Johnson was against the war,(actually Terri Gross out had a fine program that aired Johnson’s White House conversations) Johnson was worried
that the antiwar movement was a communist subversion group- Yes a British, Fabian Socialist trained jacobin attack against the USA and the begining of the industrial decline of the USA to which we are seeing the end crisis in today’s economic collapse at the hands of the finance pirates who fund Ayers, Obama, etc. He was right.

Remember that Marx was deployed by the British as a counter to American System economist Henry C. Carey,

You should be more scared. Hillary for SoS and meetings with McCain shows that Obama does not have a clue about anything. Most people wish this man well. They say for the sake of the country. Can you wish chaos well? I guess a better chaos is preferable over just mild chaotic processes.

I important to listen to Bill Ayers to find exactly what Obama will do when chaos matures. What kind of anarchism will Obama use to bring about a suspension of the civil rights? What kind of Marxism should we look forward to have?

Hillary and McCain can now unwrap for Obama the policies he so aptly appropriated for his campaign rhetoric. Lets hope they do so swiftly and succinctly. Lets see. Go to the left two steps, go to the right three, now to the left again five steps, now go to the right eleven. Where are we now?

I think this attention is not going to be good for him in the long run.

His attitude is rather disturbing. He doesn’t take any responsibility for his involvement in violent efforts.

A lot of students, frankly, will think about that one. I think it went under the radar with the new generation. Until now…..

It’s very hard to listen to someone who rationalizes violence and death in the name of any cause. It would be like going to school with someone who bombs abortion clinics and blames the doctors for their own deaths: They shouldn’t have been there.

So, I agree. What goes round comes around.

Oh, and in case anyone missed it, IMHO, Bill Ayers=Tim McVeigh, regardless of what the feckless media is trying to do to “rehabilitate” him. Two differences–McVeigh was a competent domestic terrorist, and he received his due justice.

Comment by Scout | 2008-11-18 16:43:45

Timothy McVeigh was poor.

Bill Ayers had a very rich father influential in Illinois politics. Bill Ayers encouraged others to “kill your parents, that’s what it’s all about,” and it was his father who paid for his defense and ultimately got him off on a technicality.

I’m not saying McVeigh would have got off with the same connections, but class definitely played a part in Ayer’s ability to escape justice.

Comment by La Compania Volante | 2008-11-18 23:45:56

True enough–that, and Ayers was such a miserable terrorist, and his accomplices were such incompetent bomb makers that they killed as many of their own people as they did others.

Still, he was and is a McVeigh/bin Laden wannabe, despite any philosophical/economic differences there might be. Ayres should be still serving a prison term, at the very least, for his attacks on this nation and her people.

He didn’t serve a day prison because of Daddy’s money and the ability to hire lawyers. Otherwise, his ass would probably still be rotting in jail.

From Ayers book… Prairie Fire

Our job is to tap the discontent seething in many sectors of the population, to find allies everywhere people are hungry or angry, to mobilize poor and working people against imperialism.

We need a revolutionary communist party in order to lead the struggle, give coherence and direction to the fight, seize power and build the new society.

I think they really will meet on common ground on one issue: earmarks. Obama knows, for one, how much influence he garnered that way and that he also got his own wife a cushy job, and that’s not right, with earmarks.

He’s now in a different spot. First, why let those congressmen gather that kind of power anymore. *haha Send HIM the check, boys and girls. Second, why would he waste a single cent of taxpayer money on that nonsense? He’s got an expensive agenda and a broke country. Third, why NOT go with John’s agenda there. It was John’s strongest and most authentic message, even if it fell short of people’s ideas of an economic plan.

Win-Win.

On other issues? They’ll be opposite.

A person close to me bought a fixer upper this week. Mostly all of the repairs were done by his mom and dad. And that house hardly needed any repairs. In all those years he has not been able to throw away a 3 x 4 mirror left over and it is still laying against a wall in the back porch. Now the new house needs repairs everywhere, inside and out and in every room. He said he will be working every weekend to make it spic and span.

McCain and Obama said they will work together to fix the country.

Lets compare those two cases. I give them both equal chances of becoming true.

On the other hand, those forests that burned down in California this week will repair themselves in about five to ten years and no one will lift a finger to do so.

Nature works slowly but steady, men dreams are mostly dead on arrival.

Amazing, isn’t it?, the incestuous media sucking up to their own created celebrities. But, I really wish the birthplace issue would gather heat. The official Obama website stated that his ‘certificate of birth’ was a ‘birth certificate’ and it proved his supposed birth in Hawaii. It does nothing of the sort. The fraud is out there for all to see. Now that the election is over the issue gains steam because Obama and his apologists can’t claim its just election hay. Change is coming to Washington, but its a Biden administration that’s coming! Obama can run for president of Kenya. For those who still doubt this, google ‘Obama birth cetificate’ and look at the analyses and lawsuit updates.

There’s a lot of sensitivity around this topic.

However, the statistics tell the story. Obama did win over the women, even in states where Hillary definitely took him and shook him down.

On a more personal note, PUMA just had to send out notices that someone ran off with the merchandise that people ordered.

I’m still wondering how the story that PUMA had paid down her debt was so wrong. I never heard how that happened.

I, for one, cannot figure PUMA out.

I voted for McCain/Palin on the basis of policy issues. Feel good about it, too.

I am mulling over the long-term effects of this election on women in America.

BUT….I’m not sure that PUMA is offering much.

I’m sure willing to listen and see.

Ayers reminds me of a typical abuser who blames his victim for “making him angry.” Ayers claims his actions were in response to the killing of innocents in Viet Nam…which evidently, made him angry. Thus, he bombed the Pentagon and committed other violent acts - BUT IT’S NOT HIS FAULT–IT’S AMERICA’S. We made him do it. Ayers, like any typical abuser, plays victim, denies any responsibility for his own actions. He’s whitewashing his own crimes and the press is complicit.

First problem I see here, is that many of you were not around when a group of radicals held our country hostage. You were not living through the Chicago trial against activists who treatened our country.

We’ve become so passive to hold people responsible for their actions. You have experienced 9/11. Remember that fear? This is what it was like in the 60s and 70s with the Weathermen Underground. Ayers and Dohrn were the leaders. He says they didn’t KILL anyone, except 3 of his clan died making a bomb intented for a military base USO.

They “tried” to kill families of prosecuters, but failed. So let’s not let him get away with “not killing anyone.” The groups agenda was very clear.

American people have a way of forgetting. Already wounds have been healed from 9/11. But I remember. I remember when everyone wanted a pound of flesh from the terrible crime against the deaths of 3,000 innocent American people. People wondered why Bush was taking so long to react. When the war on terrorist began everyone was for it. Bush said it would be a long war, but the majority said gung ho! Notice, we’ve been kept pretty damn safe with the strategies Bush has enforced. And, don’t give me any BS about Iraq didn’t have weapons of mass destruction! Until Osama Bin Ladin can tap me on the shoulder and say “here I am”, I’ll not believe that Saddam didn’t have more than just firecrakers!

Ayers and his wife would still be sitting in prison had the FBI acquired evidence legally. NO, this man and his gang were home grown terrorists that planned on leaving a path of destruction. None of us should condone or give compliance to their crimes.

Comment by TexasMirth | 2008-11-18 15:55:09

Kbentleyis -I agree with your comments. I remember the Weather Underground. Just because their bombs didn’t kill their targets doesn’t make Ayers & Dohrn any less guilty of terrorism. Their smug, self-righteous attitudes today reveal who they still are - America-haters. I watched Ayers on “Good Morning America” and wanted to puke as he rationalized his actions by blaming the country. My uncle was a Marine in Viet Nam during the time that Ayers was building bombs. My uncle went to Viet Nam at 18 and returned with a Purple Heart and a badly injured body. He loved America back then and he loves her today. Ayers & wife seem incapable of understanding that kind of love for country and willingness to serve. Protesting the war is one thing; building bombs to destroy government buildings and conceivably kill other Americans is despicable.

I applied (and was accepted) to the CIA of all freakin’ places back in 1968. (Hi, Larry!) I remember a 27-legal-size-page application form where a full 1-1/2 pages listed subversive “groups” and asked the question, “Are you or have you ever been or do you know anyone. . .?”

As a little country bumpkin, I’d never even heard of half of the groups but I definitely do remember KKK, American Communist Party, SDS, Weather Underground. . . being at the top of the list. We’re talking Public Enemy Number One! We’re talking the 1968 version of Osama bin Laden. . .

I hope NQ and others continue to remind people about Ayers the terrorist and the upcoming CIC (Criminal-In-Chafe) [sic] who not only got what he wished for, will dread the day he ever did as he is ill equipped to handle the day to day stress and will turn into a drugged out zombie like Bush has become. His monologue today was that nobody is interested in anti-Obama rhetoric right now.

It’s time to focus on .strictly issues. Disagree with a choice, a decision, a comment…..go for it.

Blast him? Be ignored.

The country is excited about this change. That can’t be all bad. Good golly, we have a ton of bad news, so it’s understandable.

I agree with Rush entirely.

Obama-derangement-syndrome people will be viewed with disdain.

Focus on his decisions.

The latest? Sorry, but I think it’s brilliant. Hillary is THE best SoS candidate. Simply brilliant.

He’ll have to put a bunch of those smart decisions together to convince me, of course. I’m a hard nut to crack.

But I’m darn sure going to give him credit on THIS one.

Comment by FembotsForObama | 2008-11-18 18:00:41

Why would you give Obama credit for offering appointments to the only people who have legitimacy in critiquing him?

The Hillary appt is a ruse. If it happens, it is to keep her and her hubbie on a real short leash. His vetting will have given any HIllary foes a lot of valuable info to keep her from being an effective critic. Ditto for McCain.

I have hopefully great news for those of us who wish HRC to stay far far away from that parasitical organism BHO:

Hillary might reject State offer

Clinton, the person said, remains deeply “torn” between the possibility of serving in Obama’s cabinet and remaining in the Senate to “help pass health care and work on a broad range of domestic issues.”

That comment jibes with what others close to Clinton have been saying since the Secretary of State chatter began last week: that Clinton is conflicted and the deal far from done, despite screaming headlines in outlets including the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper claiming the offer was made and accepted.

I don’t know that the NYT’s lack of retail advertising is necessarily a result of recession.

IMO GCI and NYT are junk stocks ’cause the reporting generally sucks.

I too was in the SF bay area when the Black Panthers emerged. In fact I was at ground zero when they gave their first news conference on the steps of a community college in Oakland. I just happened to be there, trying to leave the building. I had never seen a live news conference before and I had no idea who these Black Panthers were. Those of us living in the Bay area quickly learned that the BP were not a benign community group — these were racists. They taught children how to hate.

It was obvious that the BP group was not associated with MLK. Black Liberation Theology is a descendant of the Black Panther and the Black power movement.

The Weathermen DID terrorize us. I did not realize how much until Ayers resurfaced with his smug face stomping the US flag. Growing up on military bases I watched every day when evening taps were played, everything stops and EVERYONE stands at attention as the flags are lowered.

What he and his WIFE did cannot be dismissed, or ignored.

I don’t believe that Narcissists can be rehabilitated.

Well, I grew up in the deep South, and I know how good people are cruel to others.

I saw it.

I abhored it.

And I will never, ever support it.

You can take your flight into therapy talk.

But all leaders will not pass your “narassist” test.

It’s psychobabble.

What is relevant, as those of you are protesting against Ayers is what was happening in my own “neck of the woods.”

And it was darn close to lynching, folks.

You are truly, truly amazingly ignorant of what really happened in life during this stage of our history.

I’m amazed.

You’re amazingly cloistered.

Good for you, I guess, or maybe not.

But I can tell you. What happened in “my neck of the woods” was hideously more devastating in terms of equality than Ayers ever thought about being.

So, label away with your phony therapy terms.

But I am old enough to remember, literally, hangings on trees.

I will never, ever get the SF perspective, I guess.

My God you are judgmental. And on a really high horse.

I rarely see posters who have such high regard of their perfectness.

I wish I could beat Ayers with a stick if it wasn’t so illegal.

Bad, I know, but not any worse than setting off bombs outside of federal buildings and killing people.

Comment by FembotsForObama | 2008-11-18 18:15:37

lynchings were bad because a part of society supported it systematically, and women and children were also lynched and terrorized. So how is this different than the WU? Or any other terrorist org?

Ann still hasn’t answered any of these questions. I really find it amusing that you continue to defend Ayers.

My own family was subject to KKK intimidation and thuggery in 1969 because we were Catholic.

William Ayers and the actions of a few had far reaching repercussions for an entire generation. Those Left wing insects gave us all a bad name. As a result, the “establishment” as it were, tended to paint us with the same brush. Ayers threatened the system; the system came down hard. Bill Ayers did far more damage to his own generation than might readily be expected. Good job Einstein. I heard the Terry Gross interview with Ayers on NPR, where the “distinguished professor” is pushing his lousy book. Bill Ayers is nothing more than a capitalist inspired lackey, a traitor to us all, still exploiting the system for his own aggrandizement. Then came Hillary: http://theseedsof9-11.com

this has probably been said ad nauseum but he is a terrorist and does not deserve to be heard on air. i used to be a huge npr fan, but even they have let me down by buying into bo’s false narrative leading up to nov. 4 and certainly after. this interview is part of what i am talking about. npr should be commended on telling both sides of a story but sometimes there are not 2 sides that deserve time; he is on the wrong side here, both legally and morally and tries to play the victim. i believe npr is complicit in allowing him to appear a victim.

Did you even bother to listen to the interview? Or are you going to allow campaign rhetoric influence your opinion completely?

I’m scared too. Of close-minded people like you.

Do you listen to the evangelicals on Sunday? Somehow I don’t think so. Don’t come here and preach open minded and not practice it there bubby.

thanks for the help!:) i’m blown away, who would defend such a piece of shit like ayers? I guess this guy!

Comment by beebop | 2008-11-18 20:24:55

There is a remarkable combination of willful “tomorrow is another day, fiddle dee dee, I don’t know nothing ’bout birthing no babies” naivte about apoligists for someone who took the peace movement to the level of blowing up buildings … and that is exactly what Ayers is counting on. Willful ignorance is stupidity. No excuses.

Comment by grtphoto | 2008-11-18 21:36:34

i totally agree but when the media or society lets one get away with this then what do we have? an illusion of a free society, we do not believe in justice for everyone, if we did, that piece of shit ayers would have paid a price in jail.

Ayers sort of hangs himself in the interview, Gross catches him in a few lies. Gross asks him to give an apology and he won’t do it.

Comment by Patience | 2008-11-18 22:01:32

Only the naive, or the ignorant, or geriatric hippies or affluent hypocrites like him will find anything Ayers says or writes compelling. He’s mired in an unwise and unworkable philosophy and clings to a romantic view of his past. It’s frightening that he’s considered a distinguished “educator” by some. But statistics prove that as young people get older, build careers, marry, have children, buy homes, etc., they often shake off much of any brainwashing they may have received from “educators” like Ayers. It takes time to grow up and learn from experience. Maturity and wisdom thwart exploitation.

Maybe we should be glad he’s getting exposure — maybe he’ll be given enough rope to hang himself. The more we know about the fatuous scum the more disgusting he seems. I’ve been wondering, since his name first came up in the campaign, if any parents of his students have become alarmed. It would be interesting to find out.

If he’s ever Obama’s guest in the WH, I hope there’s widespread outrage. There won’t be if people don’t really know who he is.

The American people are thrilled to have their first African-American president!

Speaking of Barack Obama—Barack Obama is a racial-minority individual and does not like racism:

And Michelle Obama is a racial-minority individual and does not like racism:

SCANDALS! SCANDALS! SCANDALS!

SOME OF THE WORST CASES OF RACIAL PREJUDICE IN WORLD HISTORY!

WORLDWIDE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION RELATING TO SCANDALS:

(I) I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed atrocious, racist, hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention. Many people know what Bush did. And many people will know what Bush did—even until the end of the world. Bush was absolute evil. Bush is now like a fugitive from justice. Bush is a psychological prisoner. Bush often worries. In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

(II) It is opined that Bill Clinton committed terrifying, racist, hate crimes during his presidency, and I am not free to say anything further about it. ‘Be sure your sins will find you out’ (Numbers 32:23).

(III) What if basically all racial-minority people would subscribe to the interpretations that George Herbert Walker Bush committed monstrous, racist, hate crimes while he was the President of the United States? It will eventually come out: it is only a matter of time.

(IV) I know it may be hard to believe. However, Ronald Wilson Reagan committed horrible, racist, hate crimes during his presidency.

- A.Y.W.

(There are thousands of copies on the Internet indicating the contents of (I), (II), (III), and (IV). For example, one can go to Google right now, type “George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism,” hit “Enter,” and readily find 1,000 or more copies indicating content of (I). For example, one can go to Msn right now (13 April 2009), type “It is opined that Bill Clinton committed racist hate crimes, and I am not free to say anything further about it,” hit “Enter,” and readily find more than 460 copies indicating content of (II). For example, one can go to Msn right now, type “George Herbert Walker Bush committed monstrous, racist, hate crimes,” hit “Enter,” and readily find more than 200 copies indicating content of (III). For example, one can go to Msn right now, type “Ronald Wilson Reagan committed horrible, racist, hate crimes during his presidency,” hit “Enter,” and readily find more than 170 copies indicating content of (IV). The contents of (I), (II), (III), and (IV) exist extensively in all major search engines. And there are thousands of copies in very many countries around the world. For example, there are countless copies on the Internet in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, the United Kingdom, etc.)

Bill Ayers was transparently an F.B.I. agent provocateur and the Weather Underground were plainly a cutout organization like the “Symbionese Liberation Army”. Their mission: Act a fool and give the conservatives plenty of tar with which to brush the entire Left especially its more progressive, anti-war wing. Guess what? It worked brilliantly. Everything they did was designed to set back the genuine Left and anti-war movement from the harmless bombings of inanimate objects that still can be considered “terrorism” to the “fork salute” praising the Manson family. Put it together America.

And anyone paying attention to the last two years should be able to easily see what Obama is: a friendly face on more of the same because that’s the best the American voter is allowed to vote for.
