Wow, Mel, what a great analysis. You ought to see if Larry wants this at the top of a new thread.

I really like the way you spell out the timing of the June 3 and 4 events. I distinctly recall sitting and watching the local news on June 4, with BO wandering around after a rally or press conference about the bid situation, saying to reporters that it would be just down the street from him and grinning about it. At the time it seemed awfully strange that right on the heels of the final primaries, he would be messing around with that particular event, but your analysis spells it all out.

But you missed the significance of where BO’s Rezko house is located in relation to all the proposed Ol. facilities. Not as exciting as the Ayers bundle to be made by this, but probably pretty exciting for BO and MO, since they obviously like the Chg way.

Even if I were an SDS/Weatherperson leftie, which I am not, the sight of Ayers promoting that jerk to promote his families beyond-wealth is just so disgusting, and is what is so wrong with the msm then and now. The rich lefties don’t leave any political room for the not-rich lefties who really want to make things better.

I live here. Sure, it’s nice for about 16 sq blocks around Michigan Ave and downtown. If you like that sort of shopping experience.

But those of us who live and work here and watch our property taxes get swallowed up by Daley’s unaccountable TIF’s aren’t very excited about the prospect of city services and our money being used to fund this shambolic display.

There is nothing new about Obama and the Chicago Olympics, it has been known for many months that Daley was desperate for Obama to win POTUS because McCain and Clinton refused to aide Chicago on the Olympics and all the crooks of Chicago are involved, read more here:

2016 is the reason Mr. Obama refused to join in on the call for Bush to boycott the opening of the Games. He danced around it left and right, avoiding involvement. What’s a couple of thousand dead people when you can have Chicago 2016 in hand for your friend Valerie Jarrett? I did a piece on this back then. A real journalist actually figured out what was going on and reported it. Not sure she’s working any longer though…

I’m not sure what qualities Mr. Obama actually has, but I am fairly certain conscience isn’t one of them.

The IOC will not give the Olympics after only a 20 year gap from Atlanta. Atlanta is not remembered fondly.

The pool at the U gf CHIcago is not anywhere near international standard-maybe as a training pool/ officials accommodation only.

Olys hve to be in a place that young people (athletes) & spectators want to go to. Think Barcelona Sydney Athens Beijing London .

NOBODY wants to go to Chicago.

Not to be an apologist or anything, but I seem to recall that Tony Blair meeting with leaders of the IOC in Athens promoting London’s bid when he was Prime Minister. Which means it may be becoming a natural role for a President/Prime Minister/National Leader to play AND at the same time coincidentally benefit the Obama mansion.

I’m for Tokyo, though. Olympics don’t normally mean financial profit, anyway…
