The acts captured in this photograph are misogynistic, and the man who aggressively gropes Hillary Clinton’s breast, Jon Favreau, is responsible for writing the words that helped install a President who deployed sexism throughout the primary. I am not sure why the misogyny in the photograph is not viewed as such. Is it a result of our willingness to allow little boys, especially little white boys of privilege, what some would call fraternity boys, to misbehave?
What about drunk men ganging up against a woman, whether she be real or imaginary, is not offensive? Is this not similar to gang rape at a fraternity party? Why is a man’s attempt to replicate ejaculating in a woman’s mouth by forcing a beer bottle in her mouth and down her throat not offensive? What about fondling the breasts of a cut out to the joy of other men and women before the camera is not offensive? What about the use of these antics in order to maintain an irrational hatred for Hillary by misogynistic Obama staff is not offensive? What makes one think acts similar to these occurred during Hillary clinton staff parties?
Why are the online dolts referring to this sexist pig as a “hottie?” Why is he rewarded with accolades? Are we that masochistic? Do women seriously find sexist pigs attractive? And do they seriously think they should be awarded with positions funded by tax payer money? Why are women excusing his behavior? Some claim he was exhausted from hours of work and should be excused as a result. Yes, many husbands who work beat their wives, and I guess we should excuse them too. After all, they were “tired.”

I never knew John Favreau’s age or what he looked like until this photo appeared. It doesn’t surprise me that Obama hired a frat boy/child under the age of 30 to write his speeches. This is how the sexist frat boys and college students connected with Obama. If Obama had hired a professional around his age who wrote about the issues instead of hope and change bullshit, that wouldn’t have fooled the youngsters to get out the vote and intimidate teh wimmin and old people at caucuses. The mindset and attitude evidenced in this photo is simply the logical conclusion of the self-esteem and over-indulgent parenting style in vogue these days. This style of bringing up children was copied in many of our nation’s schools as well and has ended with kids who think they know it all while. This has bred a sense of entitlement and a lack of ethics and empathy in this nation’s children and young adults. To them life is just an endless Big Brother and Survivor game show where winning is everything and where men are supreme.

Its not a sickness — its a rational calculation of what it takes to stay safe in this society. There are lots of times and places when it is just not safe to speak out, and women, being the ones who will pay that price, can spot them easily.
That’s why public groups and leadership are so important. To expect each woman to ’solve’ the problems of centuries of violence + every other technique of keeping women in their places each time something happens is just not realistic, and its not fair to women. When I see photos of college aged men and women at frat parties or acting out in inappropriate photos, it’s usually photos like this where the frat boys are demeaning some woman whether it is a real woman, a cardboard cutout, a pinup, or a blowup doll. However, when I see photos of women acting out, they are often demeaning themselves such as pretending to go down on an object as if they were giving a BJ. Or they are showing off their breasts and ass to the camera. This is how companies like Girls Gone Wild got started because you can easily find young women who are willing to bear all to please the male viewer.
Three things I noticed:
1. The two boorish boobs, irrespective of their position in a That One administration, do not understand anything approaching common decency and civility.
2. The woman in the back of the photo did not seem too pleased but did nothing. Going with the flow is no excuse for inaction.
3. All three displayed the judgment I’ve come to expect from lobotobots by allowing their pictures to be taken in such a state of drunken stupor.

Growing Up Free– by Letty Cottin Pogrebin was published in 1980. I’ve recommended it many times since reading it over 25 years ago. One thing the author highlights is how males and females are socialized from birth in ways that lead to sexist attitudes. Things haven’t changed much since she wrote the book.
I saw an interview with Ms. Pogrebin during the primaries. She was supporting Hillary and her daughter was supporting Obama. If sexism had not been used as a weapon in the campaign, I wouldn’t have given a second thought to their choices. But I have to say, my heart hurt for Ms. Pogrebin, given her lifetime effort to fight sexism.
I just ordered a copy of that book, and look forward to rereading it. Will it still be relevant 20 years from now? It will if we give up. I’m not giving up.
This entire election season has been the most disturbing election of my lifetime; and the reason is the rampant violence against women.

This photograph reminds me of all the rape and gang rape that occurs in fraternity houses. Favreau is obviously a product of that culture of rape that occurs in university frat houses. And his friends are obviously products of that culture of violent rape.
Why is Obama giving someone who thinks rape and violence against women is funny a position in the White House? Does Obama share Favreau’s views?

Hillary Clinton isn’t going to do anything about this. I thought she had guts, but she’s curled up in a fetal position at this point, hoping it will all go away if she doesn’t look. And Obama is evil. He’s the embodiment of anti-woman. Every woman in this country needs to violently rebel, joined by every man who loves and respects the women in his life. Obama will never be my president. He conned, cheated and lied his way to president-elect, and so regardless of whatever the Supreme Court decides, he will never be legitimate. He’s a thug and his cronies are all thugs. As for his wife, I have no respect for her at all. Why would she ever condone or tolerate this kind of treatment toward women? She has two daughters, for Christ’s sake. Is this what she wants for them? Doesn’t she have any respect for herself?
