Great post. So many well made points. In regards to the culpability of the Media; their bias and the economy are damaging. I heard that the Tribune is facing bankruptcy. We may start seeing some changes. I comfort myself by guessing what wil come first for Obama: the Supreme Court booting him back to Africa because he is not elegible to be President; an indictment for his ties to Il. and its governor or he may get lucky and actualy make it to his own inauguration. If Obama is gone Ayers will become an extremely boring professor of education. He has managed to change the definition of himself from terrorist to radical to protestor-Neat trick. His time will go.

Ayers is a repulsive toad. I am disgusted that he should get a forum to spout off his psychotic viewpoints and whine about how misunderstood he is. This is the new propaganda msm bullshit & this is one of the reasons why I have abandoned msnbo, cnn, etc. Not only abandoned, but I am making a conscious effort to not buy their sponsors products as well.

I saw that interview and i was SICK to my stomach. I was so incensed, i couldn’t believe it, and that Fuc*ing Terrorist said today that he is NOT so sure they (Weather underground) didn’t do the right thing. He is responsible for @ least 6 deaths and he is on Hardball and teaching our children. How screwed up is this Nation? I sometimes think my Father and brothers lives were wasted in WW2 and Vietnam. What kind of screwed up Country we have become? I really am @ a loss . I can not understand how we got to this point.

I agree with Lyn above, I cannot wait to vote for you Soldier4Hillary. I only wish you lived here in PA. Unfortunately, we get to look forward to Chris Matthews vying for Arlen Specter’s Senate seat. I have had my doubts about Sen. Specter and have written him a few letters regarding his overzealous efforts to stop the steroid use in pro-baseball (we have bigger fish to fry), but I will hold my nose, swallow hard and DO everything in my power to get him re-elected!

Soldier4Hillary, thank you for this post. So many of us haven’t a CLUE what it is like to hear a mortar whistling our way, or what it is really like in Iraq and Afghanistan for our military personnel. Your remarks here help us to get a glimpse into your life, and into the lives of our families and friends serving in the military.

And hell no, Ayers should not be getting all of this free publicity and air time. He is a TERRORIST – I do not get why everyone is sweeping that under the rug. If he was at least REPENTANT, that would be a start, but neither he NOR his wife are the least bit sorry for what they did, and have said they might still be moved to do MORE.

As a soldier who has risked her life for this country, the insult, the offensiveness of this, must be tremendous.

I have been a lefty liberal my entire life, but I am clear as a bell on this: we do not support terrorists, or at least we aren’t SUPPOSED to support terrorists, especially DOMESTIC terrorists. For the liberals now to pooh pooh any concerns abt this man, and for over 4,000 professors to put out a petition to support him, is horrifying. Horrifying.

Thank you, Patsy, so much for your service, for doing what so many of us could never do, for your bravery, your courage, and your strength. And thank you for your perspective, one we do not hear enough in this country.

My impression of Ayers is that he sounds like some bizarre, sick Barney-the-dinosaur with all his talk of imagination and feelings. I’d like to see him wet his pants and freak out when facing a fraction of what you described above.

How do we get more military voices into the MSM? And not just generals–they sometimes sound too, well, general (pun intended) and get partisan–I mean people who will relate the types of stories you just did. I think the public is really open and eager to hear them, but for whatever reason, it is not the PR of the military. How do we change the media to include these?

Amazing post as usual. You are a brave and principled American and I am in awe of your service to keep this country ssafe and free. There are many of us who never served in the military, but who would stand up and fight for all our American values if we needed to right here at home. As for Ayers, I lived through his little sojourn as a rich pretend bad boy criminal who played at being a rebel. He is such an elitist that he can’t understand the reality of his actions being hurtful to real people nor does he care. He is as delusional now as he was then. Believe me he was a terrorist who threatened many innocent people. For the media to give him the time of day is utterly revolting and again shows their desperation to garner viewers no matter the subject matter and how it is presented. Their lies, and biased reporting is disgusting to watch. I will never watch MSNBC again in my lifetime. Thank you again for your service to our country and your strength in continuing to uphold America and all it stands for.

right on, S4H; what is a america coming to when we’re being told that we “shouldn’t make a big deal” about somebody like ayres and his connections to obama? jeezus h. christ. the pizza place i work at (here in south dakota) was robbed a while back by a guy with a box-cutter (the whole thing was pretty much a joke); the cops caught the guy and i bet he is doing a minimum of 10 years in jail right now, as well he should be. but a guy like bill ayres can set multiple bombs against the u.s. gov’t and wreak havoc all over, and he is now considered to be a “respected member of academia” in Chicago, and an associate of our new P.E.????!! that tells me all i need to know about chicago, and i’m thinking that it is not really a good thing that our next prez chose to make that city his home.

I watched Ayers on Hardball and was repulsed by his words, his condescending tone, and his audacity to present his terrorist actions during the Viet Nam era as some kind of noble protest. Shame on the media for giving this terrorist a platform to blame America for his own criminal acts.
