Nocturnal Warrior’s Sunday Roundup

It’s been quite a week!

ITEM: Illinois Governor Rod Blagoevich says he has done nothing wrong and vows to remain in office:

“It’s begining to look a lot like Fiztmas. Everywhere you go. Take a look a look at all the hacks, trying to watch their backs before Blago takes the stand and lets out all he knows.” The Gov could be the gift that keeps on giving.

The last thing anyone connected with Illinois government wants to see is Blago on the stand during an impeachment preceeding with absolutely nothing to lose. Then again, they might prefer that to seeing him cut a deal with the U.S. Attorney.

Either way, a whole lot of Chicago machine cronies are not getting very much sleep right now. They would love to cut a deal with the Governor, but can’t. He is being watched way too closely.

ITEM: Rick Warren will offer the invocation at Barack Obama’s inaugaration. The left, Gay and Lesbian activists and especially Rachel Maddow are not happy:
“O Come all Ye Faithful”. As long as you come with someone of the opposite gender. The good news is this is all part of the Obama economic recovery plan. Detroit will makes lots of money keeping up with the orders for new buses for PEBO to throw his supporters under. This does add credence to my initial thoughts about Obama that he doesn’t believe in anything except advancing the cause of Barack Obama. Whatever works best for his self-interest is where he will go. The gay and lesbian community, along with their supporters are just too small for him to be worried about.

ITEM: Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg launches a campaign to be appointed Senator in New York:

“Teddy the Lion, was a holly jolly soul. With blood shot eyes, and and puffed out cheeks, he just realized he is very old.” And he wants to keep a family member in the chamber to be there after he finally has to answer for Chappaquidick. Yes David Patterson, is the only vote that matters, but the Kennedy-Schlossberg team are making it impossible for him to choose anyone else.

They are running all over the state wooing Democratic leaders with Kennedy-Schlossberg cash to use them to help pressure Patterson. They are using the media’s Kennedy lust to help promote her to the public as a worthy candidate and they are very quietly letting it be known that this is the will of the Messiah.

Of course, those Democratic officials who have worked hard on behalf of the people and party for decades in New York and have earned the right to be considered by the Governor will just have to step aside.

Condi is on Meet the Press Today:

“Run, Run Condi. Get out of Washington as fast as you can.” One of the best thing about George W. Bush leaving office is he is taking Condi with him. Never has someone so incompetent been allowed to serve, so long. She was working on the Bush Revisionist platform with David Gregory this morning. Her premise that the media would rather focus on the shoe, than all the good that is now taking place in Iraq. As always, they miss the point. Yes, things are better now in Iraq, but that shoe does represent something. It represents a belief from Iraqi citizens that no matter what the final outcome is in Iraq, it is not worth what the United States has put them through the past six years. And Condi is part of the team that prepared to destroy their lives from day one of the Bush administration.

PETA names Oprah as “person of the year”: Obviously her kindness to misogynistic pigs shows her commitment to animal rights.

Your comment on Oprah is great. She is now one of my least favorite people; did she help any other animals besides pigs? I suppose Caroline is serving a very useful purpose by distracting attention from Obama’s Blogo problems. The fix is in; she has The seat sewn up. Personaly I’m doubtful; I don’t think Obama can hang in until his inauguration then bye bye Caroline.

Of course, those Democratic officials who have worked hard on behalf of the people and party for decades in New York and have earned the right to be considered by the Governor will just have to step aside.

Step aside and genuflect, if they know what’s good for them.

A man not elected Governor appointing a Senator who has never done anything for her future constituents? Yep. Sounds like hope and change to me!

Oprah makes me puke, and I’m glad she has lost some viewership and readers of her crappy rag. She will take a lot of the blame when Fraudbama tanks.

I can’t even discuss the Caroline Kennedy thing. Nothing surprises me anymore, but some of it is just toooooo much to handle without swigging a bottle of Pepto first.

From what I saw today on Greta regarding Hot Rod, he’s facing some serious jail time. He’s been caught red handed and those tapes will sink him. What’s he going to do in prison when he can’t get that really chic haircut? He looks like a cartoon, and I bet his character is so weak that he starts dropping names and dirt to Fitzie immediately to save his own bacon. As we ALL know, the Fraud’s hands are as dirty as anyone’s. Personally I want to see JJ Jr. take a bath too. And Rahm. They can all kiss our azzes with all of that corrupt nonsense. Where are the elected officials who want to do something POSITIVE for this country? Hell, SCOTUS is even on the take for the Fraud. WTF?

To ShawShank with Blago!

Red: [narrating] The first night’s the toughest, no doubt about it. They march you in naked as the day you were born, skin burning and half blind from that delousing shit they throw on you, and when they put you in that cell… and those bars slam home… that’s when you know it’s for real. A whole life blown away in the blink of an eye. Nothing left but all the time in the world to think about it.

.

Comment by oowawa | 2008-12-21 23:12:02

As someone noted in an earlier thread, Blago is a big Elvis Presley fan:

Number 47 said to Number 3,
You’re the cutest jailbird I ever did see.
I sure would be delighted with your company,
Come on and do the jailhouse rock with me . . .

Yes, I think he will discuss his situation with prosecutors in detail before sentencing.

Comment by TeakwoodKite | 2008-12-21 23:49:20

Ya think his vanity will get the better of him?
I mean, is Blago gonna go for the Presley haircut in the stir or the HD body paint on the witness stand?

Any takers?

Comment by OBAMA IS A FRAUD | 2008-12-21 23:55:33

I don’t know WTF is up with that hairdo, but he’s going to need some serious upkeep on that mop in the big house. I bet he trades some “favors” for some hair gel.

Comment by Seattle Moss | 2008-12-22 00:04:14

OIAF,
How are you tonight?
Yes Blago’s hair gives me a bad hair day just looking at him.
Up here in latte land I have over a foot of snow on the ground with more on the way.

Comment by OBAMA IS A FRAUD | 2008-12-22 00:10:10

Hey Moss!

Been missing your handsomeness….LOL…I was watching the Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again, Ron White, and thinking of you yesterday :) .

I have to go to St. Louis tomorrow for ten days. Yeah, it’s going to be freezing. Ughhhh….If I don’t chat you up more, I hope you have fabulous holidays.

Hot Rod’s hair is bizarre. He really looks like a cartoon. It’s getting to be very difficult to watch any of these nuts.

Comment by Seattle Moss | 2008-12-22 00:17:17

My precious OIAF!

I think I saw the same special. Ron looks like he should put the props down for a few minutes. Ron looked wasted to the core. I’m actually worried a bit.

Comment by Seattle Moss | 2008-12-22 00:29:23

OIAF,
May you and your big Italian family have a wonderful Christmas and a prosperous new year!

Comment by OBAMA IS A FRAUD | 2008-12-22 00:31:19

Thanks Moss! I’m sure it will be fun, despite the snow and subzero weather. What are you doing for the holidays? Anything fun? And what is up with the Galt? I haven’t had my pizza in a while. Isn’t he supposed to FEED us?

Comment by Seattle Moss | 2008-12-22 00:43:44

OIAF,
My enjoyment for now is this beautiful turn of the century house I recently moved in that is completely remodeled but keeps it’s original charm.
My wife and I are staying close to home this year as the traveling is difficult. Instead we have a fire on watching the snow.

Going to bed. Early plane to St. Louis. Everyone here have a great holiday! XXXX B

Hiya, SM!

Brrr! Our windchill factor is -20 or more. My cousin, who lives outside Chicago, says Blago looks like a gerbil!

P.S. What happened to Galt? Haven’t read a thing from him/her in a long time.

Comment by Seattle Moss | 2008-12-22 00:13:52

Hello Cubie,
Last time I heard, Galt was running from a Pac man who didn’t like his Pizza slice.

Comment by Cubs in 09 | 2008-12-22 00:19:07

 I thought maybe he/she lost power as so many have. I hope it warms up around New Year’s. I have to go to the airport and pick up a dozen business associates from…the Middle East! Boy, will they be in for a temperature shock. We’ve warned them! Luckily, I don’t have to go in tomorrow until 10 AM. But then the cats will probably wake me up at 6:00 AM wanting breakfast. I’ll check back later or tomorrow.

Comment by Seattle Moss | 2008-12-22 00:23:23

I talked to Galt shortly before He went awol. I think he has some projects that needed to get started.

Wow!!
What a year eh wildchild..I’m still a big kid who loves the snow. At least I don’t have to drive in it.

He was The One before Obama. He was compared to JFK and in the beginning his hair was swept to the side like Kennedy’s. Early on, when he first won the governorship, he had his eye on the presidency. Then, he had a public argument with his father-in-law, a political power broker who helped him win Rostenkowski’s seat (when Rosty was found guilty and sent to the slammer) and the Governorship (when Ryan was found guilty and sent to the slammer). He has been downhill for him ever since.

Blago ran as a reform candidate and change-agent both times. Axelrod,Rahn and Obama have all worked to get him elected.

If he goes down, he will take others with him.

Comment by Strawberrybitch | 2008-12-22 14:43:29

Oh please, oh please, oh please. All I want for Christmas is for Blago to bring down barky.

Forecast Sees ‘Subpar Growth’ In Economy

Don’t expect a quick economic recovery any time soon. In fact, it could take U.S. consumers at least five years to pay off their debts and build some savings.

Perhaps Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg can get some tips on governing from her cousin’s husband. You know, like pretend you are an environmentalist while you take away all state subsidies for public transportation. Yeah, that is the Gropenator’s latest plan for balancing California’s budget.

Comment by TeakwoodKite | 2008-12-21 22:49:16

Ain’t budget a peach here in the “Golden State”?

Comment by ritamary | 2008-12-21 22:48:25

The California governor recall should have given us an idea of what we would have to look for on a national level. The Gropenator’s lack of experience didn’t matter, drug use captured on film in his biography didn’t matter, notorious groping of any woman in sight did not matter.
And look at where California is at today! Totally screwed.

Comment by obamastolemyboyfriend(akacsuzeq) | 2008-12-21 23:02:02

That’s what happens when an actor is put in office. I’m in MN and we put in a G-d damn wrestler with his feather boa. This state was running great and had a huge surplus and then a bunch of dumbasses put Jesse the body in here and he ruined it. We haven’t recovered.

Good Luck, California! I’ll pray for you.

The fiscal structure of state obligated funds is un-sustainable. I also hold the State Legislators responsible and the gaming of propositions in California by out of state interests.

The next president should not neglect the sad state of federal and state finance.

Yep; says giving the Invocation at the Inauguration is a high honor. Hey, Mr. Frank, what about the honor of being elected to represent your constituents in Congress? What is more blasphemous, being a private citizen voicing contempt for gay rights or being a U.S. Representative funneling taxpayer money to Fannie Mae while the man you introduce as your “spouse” is one of their paid executives; or eschewing Republican proposed regulation of Fannie and Freddie Mac – both President Bush and Senator McCain predicted problems with the GSE’s in 2005 – and then running for re-election on the platform, you need to return to the House because as Chair of the Financial Services Committee, you need to continue cleaning up the mess left by the Republicans?

Blago is running the clock, and while this may not save him against the Illinois legislature, it will save him against the Department of Justice. No doubt, Obama will fire all of Bush’s DoJ people, and I expect Mr. Fitzgerald is either #1 or #2 on the list.

Of course, Obama and his White House aides will blame some intern and have him/her “take a hit for the team”.
