First, Kennedy supported the liar Obama. Secondly, Kerry Kennedy put Andrew Cuomo through a very public divorce humiliation when her affair was discovered as the reason for the breakup. Thirdy, as soon as Palin walked out on the stage to be the VP candidate BO and his sexist pig people went to work with the mainstream media puppets to portray her as a ‘joke’ from Alaska with no Ivy league education. Her accomplishemnts were diminished, her family was smeared and her very American roots were ridiculed. But remember almost half of the American people didn’t buy it and supported her. Her rallies(I attended two of them here in Va.) had 20,000 and over 10,000 at another one. BO and his people saw her charisma and her record in Alaska and set out from day one to destroy her. Without the MSM this never could have happened. But today in my hometown newspaper there is a very negative article about CK and the writer is expressing doubt that she can be appointed because of a backlash against entitlement. I think the CK affair has illuminated the whole corrupt pay to play atmosphere of the Dems and Repubs.

If I were Govenor Patterson I would not choose Ms. Kennedy. This would stink to the high heavens.I would venture to say there are way more qualified women whether they be an elected official in state or federal government. One that comes to mind is Rep. Carolyn Maloney elected to the House in 1993. This would be the right choice.

If Palin were very quick (and cared nothing for her constituency in Alaska) she could rent a house in NY State, preferably UP-state, and run against Princess Camelot after the Investiture.

1. I guess I must have missed the reports about
“Ms Kennedy” getting a divorce. The last I knew she was married and had taken her husband’s name.

Every person who refers to her as Ms Kennedy is promoting the idea that having the Kennedy name makes her qualified to serve as a senator.

2. I remember the crack someone made about Hillary as President – that men in the position tend to age faster due to the stress and that it would be horrible to be forced to look at a woman who is ageing in the same manner.

I find your comment sexist, ageist, distasteful and offensive.

This really goes against “The American Dream” envisioned by Thomas Jefferson. A big part of our Revolution was to throw off the entitlement of the aristocracy who gained positions and favor through landed inheritance not through ability to actually do anything. It is part of this country’s intrinsic identity that by hard work and determination one can be successful. This is what keeps our country successful and our democracy intact.

The US Senate is not the House of Lords. I’m starting to wonder if our government is becoming more like the HMS Pinafore’s Monarch of the Sea, complete with his sisters, his cousins and his aunts.

Carolyn Maloney has done a great deal of work for the state, and is way more qualified for that Senate Seat than Kennedy. She has also got the support of NOW.

The NYT won’t even MENTION Maloney’s name because she’s not well connected and not filty, stinking rich.
