Just to clarify, I meant reparations for women in the general sense and not in any particular order.

I'm glad Daschle withdrew his name!

Apparently you will not find any good source of the irregularity of the primaries and caucuses from the sources you searched.

For one thing MSM purposely omitted those stories because they have been in the tank for Obama. When bloggers all over the internet come up with stories about the election irregularities on the part of the Obama crowd, they needed to be verified. The truth is there is verification especially by the contributors to this website. The anomalies did really happen..

If you discriminate against those sources that ran contrary to your opinion, you will never find the truth or you will continue disagreeing with the truth.

Daschle was my biggest argument in regard to Obama's hypocricy during the Primary/GE. I would argue that although Daschle was "technically" not a Lobbyist while working on the Obama campaign (he's a multi-millionaire who could afford not to collect a salary and "donate" his time and expertise), he would always be a Lobbyist regardless of whether he was employed by a firm our not due to his past "consulting." President Obama "rewarded" him by his appointment and now we see Daschle is slimier than ever. Hmmm, for some reason being right about Daschle does not make me feel better.......

As a former democrat and now independent, I must say that the Dems in the US Senate and Congress love to raise our taxes, but they are the ones who do not want to pay taxes as exemplified by Daschle.

That is the hypocrisy I see..

<strike>Richardson</strike> Phat So will be OK, though, as he'll be appearing in the next James bond film as a crook, which won't be anything like a stretch for him.

Conservatives love to cut taxes, period. To say that the "rich" don't pay taxes because of George Bush is laughable. I am in the category of probably what you would call "the rich" (although nowhere near the likes of the Hollywood Dems, or senators), and I can tell you that last year my husband and I paid more taxes than many will pay in a lifetime, especially since many don't ever pay at all. Because my husband's commissions don't ever get taxed at the right rate, and because most of the deductions that many take for granted are phased out for us, we had to write a check for $50000 at the end of the year to supplement the 28% that he paid all year. Now, you may say that we are lucky to have the money to pay it, which we are, but when folks say that the "rich" don't pay their share, I could show you a tax return or two that would prove that we do pay and much. Now as the for the really rich, who have ways of avoiding taxes, like offshore accounts and such, we don't have access to anything like that.

We are also the least likely family to need to take advantage of government largess. We don't carry credit card debt, don't take out loans for cars, put half down on our house and have never been late on a payment. We don't own boats or planes, or take our kids on expensive vactions. We donate to charity, take care of our own children, and get thanked by being demonized for not doing enough. I'm probably a dope for doing this, but usually when I donate things, I don't deduct them from the taxes, because that's not why I give, as opposed to folks like Tim Geithner, who would deduct his dental floss if he thought he could get away with it (and he probably could).

I was fortunate enough to have parents who helped me pay for my college education, but I worked my butt off to get a degree in computer engineering. My husband came from a family where education wasn't a priority, so when I married him, he was really only able to get jobs where he didn't make much and got treated like crap. Rather than complain about it, we read the writing on the wall and he went back to school to earn a degree (which we had to sacrifice like heck to pay for without loans or grants from the government), which enabled him to get better jobs. He works hard, has to pay extra for his health insurance, doesn't have a pension, and doesn't have a guarantee that he will keep his job no matter how he performs like union workers do. And yet, all we hear is how unfair it is from the other side. I'm kind of tired of it. It's a disinformation campaign that has taken on the aura of fact, and it's frustrating to listen to folks talk about it the way that they do.

Okay, ahem. I'm stepping off of my soapbox now, but really, you've got to consider that there is an agenda out there that is demonizing business and those who have been successful, and we shouldn't be looking to tear everything down so that we all stand at the same, low level. We should be figuring out how to bring more of us up.
