Baby Bama Too Tired to Do His Job

Ed Morrissey hits on PART of Obama’s problem in “Great news: Obama fumbled Brown visit because he’s in over his head“:

After insulting Gordon Brown during the British prime minister’s visit this week by ignoring protocol and cheaping out on the traditional gift exchange, the UK media has erupted in outrage. The Obama White House has now started to recognize the firestorm the new President created with our closest ally, and wants to assure the Brits that he meant no disrespect. Instead, Obama apparently wants to assure them that he’s simply in over his head and floundering (via Radio Equalizer):

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been “overwhelmed” by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.

British officials, meanwhile, admit that the White House and US State Department staff were utterly bemused by complaints that the Prime Minister should have been granted full-blown press conference and a formal dinner, as has been customary. They concede that Obama aides seemed unfamiliar with the expectations that surround a major visit by a British prime minister. … Read all.

Well, Ed, that’s PART of the problem. But what’s really going on is that Teleprompter Guy possesses but THREE SKILLS: 1) Holding campaign rallies, 2) Schmoozing, and 3) Reading teleprompters.

That’s it, folks. That’s all your president can do.

You expect him to LEARN about how to treat foreign visitors? YOU DO???

If you really want to know what he is capable of, check out those three skills that I did not link for the hell of it, but because they take you to the two stories that give you the sum total of this joke’s abilities:

  1. Holding campaign rallies,
  2. Schmoozing
  3. Reading teleprompters.

NEVER SAY we didn’t try to warn you who voted for this dolt.

NEVER.

AND YOU VICIOUSLY ATTACKED EVERY ONE OF US, BUT YOU COULDN’T SILENCE US.

BUT THE MEDIA ABETTED THIS JOKE’S “VICTORY.”

And know you have to live with it.

If you will be able to.

Out on the streets with no job, no food, no money, no home.

Because this joker hasn’t got a fucking clue how to rescue this economy.

I read this piece about an hour ago, Susan. The incredible part is Obama wants to “assure” the Brits and US citizens that he meant no disrespect but is simply:

“over his head and floudering.”

Oh, yikes. He’s worn out after 46 days of governing! This is the same crew that said running a presidential campaign = experience for the POTUS.

This what you get when an American Idol is voted into an office he’s clearly not prepared for. And never was. And we’re all going to suffer the consequences.

Pulling a Rush Limbaugh smokescreen won’t hide the obvious. George W. Bush was unsuited for the job. And so is Barack Obama. The press and DNC foisted this bad joke on us.

And I for one will never forgive them for that.

Comment by candymarl | 2009-03-07 20:02:11

Agreed Peggy Sue. Anyone who pointed out experience does matter was either shouted down or called a racist.

Obama is now admitting he’s floundering and over his head. Too bad. Suck it up and do the job. You wanted it so badly you were willing to do anything to get it.

This is the one job you can’t vote “present” for.
This isn’t the Harvard Law review where you can slide by and never write anything.

The entire country and the world are watching you.

You have no place to run and no place to hide.

Again, suck it up and do the doggone job.

Oh, and stop throwing parties at the taxpayers expense. That is the White House. That is the people’s house. Not a college dorm or a frat house.

And lazy. The evidence was always there, of course, but the MSM couldn’t be bothered to find out if this clown had ever really accomplished anything before annointing him The One. He talked good, looked good, was young and cool and black. Yeah, like those are great job qualifications for POTUS.

You gotta love the part where he spent his time at the law firm writing his book–with his feet up on the desk. We are in SERIOUS trouble, folks.

No way the media would have pointed out that he is a lazy person. The “lazy black man” is a racist stereotype, and the media would have been skewered for racism. The fact that it is true about Obummer is a national tragedy. Of course they could have blamed the laziness on his white half, except that the facts show that his white family was hard-working and responsible. His father? not so much.

Wait a minute! Why did then he say Brown wouldn’t say to his face that they dn share a friendship? To me it sounded threatening and not something one would do if they dn mean any disrespect. His actions towards whole swaths of people (us, Hillary) and now Britain for no reason except he can and he has no class and is full of himself.

Also, how many vacations does one need to partake of in order to be rested. It is show not tell time now but we know the only person up to the task of showing their stuff is our supremely engaged and energized Hillary.

Comment by ellen | 2009-03-08 02:22:00

Of course, Hillary is the ONLY person on this earth who can conduct herself appropriately - and show her stuff??? Like not even getting the correct translation??? Lots of respect she showed the Russians, huh? But the Obamabots really have NOTHING on you Hillary worshippers. I have one question, WHEN will you get over it??? Obviously, never. Bitter much?

Obama’s actions towards whole swaths of people? You sound like a high schooler trying to impress!

Comment by JustMe~~ | 2009-03-08 02:23:58

ellen, at least the gift had meaning and she was very respectful and friendly to the Russian Foreign Minister. She said she was ready on day one and the fools in the White House and media made jokes about it. Well, guess what? She knew what she was talking about.

Comment by catherine | 2009-03-08 06:47:27

No Hillary is’nt the ONLY person who can conduct herself appropriately but she’s infinetely superior in EVERY way to that embarrassing mediocrity known as Obama.

Hillary actually put some thought into the gift which was a symbolic gesture. The translation was done by State Department employees. They’re supposed to know what they’re doing …it’s not the Secretary of State’s job to be a translator and watch over them. At least Hillary has a enough class and sophistication to politely handle other people’s gaffes which is more than can be said for that a$$hole in the WH.

So F*ck off obot! It’s your Hopeychangey prez who’s behaving just as badly and incompetently as Dubya. There’s an economic crises and the Chicago golden child throws lavish parties regularly, goes on constant vacations (Dubya much)and keeps wasting taxpayers money!

He’s “too tired” for a foreign head of state(our closest ally no less)but has time and shows more respect for a Hollywood actor. Unfreakingbelievable! How clueless and narcissistic can this clown be?

So go weep in your Double Latte and keep mindlessly mumbling “Yes We Can” as you replay Teh One’s inauguration for the fiftieth time while shining your commemorative coin collection.

Those of us who have actually been paying attention for the last 2 years will say I TOLD YOU SO however many we damn well please!

Comment by allimom99 | 2009-03-08 12:56:14

I was actually GLAD to hear that he hasn’t bothered to stick his nose into foreign policy. That’s what Hillary is for, and she’s apparently doing quite well so far, thanks.

Comment by ritamary | 2009-03-08 13:49:46

Hillary is supposed to explain to the Obamas what are appropriate gifts for the visiting British PM and family? Buying appropriate gifts is not foreign policy; it is common sense.

Do us all a favor and go stand in front of a train or something. One less idiot to vote in 2010 and 2012. I’m not a die hard hillary fan, I was voting for her and because i thought she could do the job. Screwing up a gag gift with poor translantion is nothing compared to insulting the leader of our biggest allies with something he won’t even be able to see let alone enjoy or could by off amazon. Just the fact you can not see this gives alot of proof to why no one should let you anywhere near a voting booth. I intially want to vote for John Edwards, then i swtiched to Ms Clinton because i realized Obama had no fracking clue what the hell he was doing. So please don’t clump people who prefer Ms Clinton to Obama, at least their’s logic to their choice. What the hell is yours? …Oh there is none! Gee who would have though it.

But Secretary of State Clinton is Barack’s employee; therefore, he is responsible for her faux pas, too. The Russians can just say Soertoro/Obama appointed someone who “insulted” them but who is he going to blame for his lack of proper protocol with Brown? Michelle?

I could not believe what i was hearing when the news talked about the exchange of gifts. Prime Minister Brown arrived with what were clearly well-thought-out gifts, including a pen made from wood carved from the mast of a ship that had transported slaves to the New World. And what did he get in return? “E.T.” and “Star Wars” among others. Did those morons run around in a last-minute panic and raid and regift the Obama girls Christmas presents?

What were they thinking???

The worst thing about all this is the State Department official who was charged with setting up the Prime Minister’s trip saying that Britain (heretofore our closest ally) is no more important than the 190 other countries in the world. Perhaps this is why Obama returned the bust of Churchill given to the White House by Britain.

Let’s see Taliban good — Britain not so good.

Comment by JustMe~~ | 2009-03-08 00:11:18

No, it wasn’t the girls’ Christmas presents. Michelle and Barack don’t believe in giving Christmas gifts even in their family, I once read. Maybe that’s the problem - they are not gift-givers. But apparently that is not in conflict with being gift receivers.

He is so thin he has no energy storage. He smokes or chews nicotene gum and his body is oxygen deprived. He is always cold…a symptom of poor health, poor nutrition, poor circulation to his body. Maybe he has a heart condition. We never did see his health report. Maybe during his cocaine years he damaged his heart.

Hep C come from drugs or sexual partners a lot of times.

Comment by KintheNorthwest | 2009-03-07 20:39:21

“You cannot get hepatitis C from casual contact such as hugging, kissing, sneezing, coughing, or sharing food or water with someone. You can get hepatitis C if you come into contact with the blood of someone who has hepatitis C.

The most common way to get hepatitis C is by sharing needles and other equipment (such as cotton, spoons, and water) used to inject illegal drugs. If you are injecting drugs, the best way to protect yourself is by not sharing needles or other equipment with others. Many cities have needle exchange programs that provide free, sterile needles so that you do not have to share needles. If you want to stop using drugs, ask your doctor or someone you trust to help you get into a drug treatment program.”

Bama always considers himself above all. And, MEchille is extremely selfish…me, me, me. “I’m finally proud of my country”, etc. When she speaks of others it’s usually that she’ll tell you what you need to do for free…Senior citizens should be ready to go clean up the parks, pick up dog poop, etc. How about, “You first, MEchille.”

Regarding this, can I say I AM SOOOOO PISSED that the April 2009 issue of Glamour Magazine has chosen Michelle Obama as an American Icon? As they say in the articles introduction: “this magazine has been on the lookout for icons - women who slip under the ropes of convention, laugh off doubters, have a big idea, compete like crazy and kick butt when necessary. Take a look at who we found!”

They women they chose are: Rosie the Riveter, Billie Holliday, Althea Gibson, Audrey Hepburn, The Women of Woodstock, Mary Tyler Moore (for her charcter as Mary Richards), Dolores Huerta, Madonna, Carrie Bradshaw, Brandi Chastain and FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA.

WTF??? Where is the true icon of First Lady Chic - Jacqueline Kennedy? Where is the First Lady of having a big idea, kicking butt and laughing off doubters - Hillary Clinton?

But no, they chose a woman who as far as I’ve seen hasn’t done crap for women or anyone other than herself or her family in regards to advancing her husbands career. She’s been First Lady 45 days and already surpassed Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Clinton and even Mrs. Bush who I felt was a gracious and kind First Lady as the world pretty much hated her husband. Laura Bush is still pushing forward with her effort to help Afghan women while Michelle Obama serves a meal at a homeless shelter. Yep, that’s some kick butt attitude there!

In over his head, huh. Not a real surprise in light of the fact he is only a few years out of the Illinois State Senate where he voted ‘present’ and a few years off the streets of Chicago as a community organizer (whatever that is!). This is hardly good preparation to be POTUS. However, too many begged to differ with us.

As far as “he just wanted the title not the work” or “he was willing to do anything to just get the job”. I don’t even think that. I believe he is as shocked as anyone that he is president. More than him wanting this, he had powerful people that wanted this FOR him more than he wanted it. He was chosen/selected/marked by people desperate to win this election regardless of what they had to do to make it happen. So these powerful people engaged in fraud, raised and spent billions, tried to destroy both Hillary, McCain & Palin, lied and cheated their way to victory. Barack Obama was the benefactor of these efforts. So, now, in the words of Rev. Wright - ‘the chickens are coming home to roost’ and it is not pretty.

Analysis: Obama recovery plans sowing some unease

By TOM RAUM – 11 hours ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama offered his domestic-policy proposals as a “break from a troubled past.” But the economic outlook now is more troubled than it was even in January, despite Obama’s bold rhetoric and commitment of more trillions of dollars.

And while his personal popularity remains high, some economists and lawmakers are beginning to question whether Obama’s agenda of increased government activism is helping, or hurting, by sowing uncertainty among businesses, investors and consumers that could prolong the recession.

Although the administration likes to say it “inherited” the recession and trillion-dollar deficits, the economic wreckage has worsened on Obama’s still-young watch.

Every day, the economy is becoming more and more an Obama economy.

More than 4 million jobs have been lost since the recession began in December 2007 — roughly half in the past three months.

Stocks have tumbled to levels not seen since 1997. They are down more than 50 percent from their 2007 highs and 20 percent since Obama’s inauguration.

The president’s suggestion that it was a good time for investors with “a long-term perspective” to buy stocks may have been intended to help lift battered markets. But a big sell-off followed.

Presidents usually don’t talk about the stock market. But the dynamics are different now.

A higher percentage of people have more direct exposure to stocks — including through 401(k) and other retirement plans — than ever.

So a tumbling stock market is adding to the national angst as households see the value of their investments and homes plunge as job losses keep rising.

Some once mighty companies such as General Motors and Citigroup are little more than penny stocks.

Many health care stocks are down because of fears of new government restrictions and mandates as part a health care overhaul. Private student loan providers were pounded because of the increased government lending role proposed by Obama. Industries that use oil and other carbon-based fuels are being shunned, apparently in part because of Obama’s proposal for fees on greenhouse-gas polluters.

Makers of heavy road-building and other construction equipment have taken a hit, partly because of expectations of fewer public works jobs here and globally than first anticipated.

“We’ve got a lot of scared investors and business people. I think the uncertainty is a real killer here,” said Chris Edwards, director of fiscal policy for the libertarian Cato Institute.

Some Democrats, worried over where Obama is headed, are suggesting he has yet to match his call for “bold action and big ideas” with deeds.

In particular, they point to bumpy efforts to fix the financial system under Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

Obama may have contributed to the national anxiety by first warning of “catastrophe” if his stimulus plan was not passed and in setting high expectations for Geithner. Instead, Geithner’s public performance has been halting and he’s been challenged by lawmakers of both parties.

Republicans and even some top Democrats, including Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, have questioned the wisdom of Obama’s proposal to limit tax deductions for higher-income people on mortgage interest and charitable contributions.

Charities have strongly protested, saying times already are tough enough for them. The administration suggests it might back off that one.

Even White House claims that its policies will “create” or “save” 3.5 million jobs have been questioned by Democratic supporters.

“You created a situation where you cannot be wrong,” the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Montana Democrat Max Baucus, told Geithner last week.

“If the economy loses 2 million jobs over the next few years, you can say yes, but it would’ve lost 5.5 million jobs. If we create a million jobs, you can say, well, it would have lost 2.5 million jobs,” Baucus said. “You’ve given yourself complete leverage where you cannot be wrong, because you can take any scenario and make yourself look correct.”

Republicans assert that Obama’s proposals, including the “cap and trade” fees on polluters to combat global warming, would raise taxes during a recession that could touch everyone. “Herbert Hoover tried it, and we all know where that led,” says House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio.

The administration argues its tax increases for the households earning over $250,000 a year and fees on carbon polluters contained in its budget won’t kick in until 2011-2012, when it forecasts the economy will have fully recovered.

But even those assumptions are challenged as too rosy by many private forecasters and some Democratic lawmakers.

Many deficit hawks also worry that the trillions of federal dollars being doled out by the administration, Congress and the Federal Reserve could sow the seeds of inflation down the road, whether the measures succeed in taming the recession or not. The money includes Obama’s $3.6 trillion budget and the $837 billion stimulus package he signed last month.

Polls show that Obama’s personal approval ratings, generally holding in the high 60s, remain greater than support for his specific policies.

“He still has a fair amount of political capital, so the public is willing to cut him some slack and go along with him for a while,” said pollster Andrew Kohut, director of the Pew Research Center. “But the public will have to get some sense that the kinds of things he’s proposing are going to work, or are showing some signs that they are working.”

Allan Sinai, chief global economist for Decision Economics, a Boston-area consulting firm, said the complexity and enormity of the crisis make it hard to solve.

“There’s no way to get it all right, regardless of which president is making policy,” Sinai said. “The problem is the sickness got too far. The actions taken, medicine applied, were mainly the wrong actions. So it’s just worse, and it gets harder to deal with. At this stage, there is no easy answer, no easy way out. It’s a question of how we fumble through.”

I’m not so sure about Obama’s personal popularity being high. I remember hearing that Bush was wildly popular even when his popularity was down to 29%. All I know is everyone I speak to and every comment I hear on talk radio is from someone who is terrified about the future. Obama is about as popular as Freddie Krueger — if you like to lose sleep and have anxiety attacks–You’ll love Obama.

AP amazingly admits the Obama Economy is a disaster.

an excerpt:

President Barack Obama offered his domestic-policy proposals as a “break from a troubled past.” But the economic outlook now is more troubled than it was even in January, despite Obama’s bold rhetoric and commitment of more trillions of dollars.

Do you think Obama wants a refund yet? I mean…he did pay almost a Billion dollars for this job.

He wanted the presidency, he threw money at it, and he bought it. He said his experience was running his campaign.

And so far, all we have seen him do is throw money at problems, and campaign.

I am so mad, I could spit. The excuses people are trying to make (the bots) and NOW the WH excuse is that Obama is tired? He has hosted parties almost every night, but he is too tired to do his day job?

The sad part is that the bulk of the people who paid for the 0bama Presidency are getting just what they paid for….Goldman Sachs has been bailed out along with many others who stood first in line for the bailout money. And no strings attached. They still sit on the boards, have the big offices, the big bonuses, have golden parachutes galore and then hire their kids to continue the looting. Psalm 2008-2012

Obama is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment.
Yea, though I walk thru the valley of the bread line, I shall not go hungry.

Obama has anointed my income with taxes.

My expenses runneth over my income.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of his term.

From hence forth we will live all the days of our lives in a rented home,
With an overseas landlord

But I am glad I am an American, I am glad that I am free.
But I wish I was a dog and Obama was a tree.

The economy is in a meltdown. We have been in a recession since 2007 even though the past President did nothing about it…They all bleeped the not so true..the “economy is solid”.

We all know Hillary Clinton’s positions in the primary and many accused her of being an “alarmist” or just “doing whatever it takes to win”. Even though Hillary was unjustly vilified for “Obama has only given a speech” we are where we are now.

However, aren’t there any protocol people in this administration whose jobs it is to set things up as they are supposed to go? I don’t expect Obama to know the ins and outs of protocol. I do expect him to hire competent people who do. Mr. “I am an expert in foreign policy” is clearly lacking.

Perhaps if Obama stopped partying all night, he would have the requisite energy to do his job. I remembered reading this after following some links on another post here. Interesting, I thought.

“Barack and Michelle Obama have been throwing taxpayer funded parties nearly every night with their ‘friends’ and supporters, with Michelle Obama even exhorting them not to ‘break’ White House property,” Klayman’s announcement said.

“This party atmosphere sends the wrong message to the American people. As the Obama-Clinton crowd party on, the American people are suffering greatly,” Klayman said.

“It was right to criticize corporate execs for using taxpayer bailout money on bonuses and corporate junkets. In the face of this criticism, it is an outrage for Barack and Michelle Obama to party on, as Rome burns. It’s like throwing a party at a funeral,” he said.

Perhaps if he partied less and slept more, he would be better prepared for visitors. After all, we don’t pay him to party with his friends, especially the sort who need to be reminded not to break White House property. We pay him to work. Which is something he doesn’t have much experience with, as we all know.

Here is the link where I found the quote.

This is what Hillary said on a TVtalkshow in Turkey:

When asked what she missed most about private life: shopping for herself and sitting around in pavement cafes, drinking coffee and “people-watching.”

“I sacrificed a lot of my privacy, which I regret,” she said, but she made sure to be clear that the benefits of public service are huge.

“You can’t have everything, you have to make some choices and I am very excited that I get a chance to serve my country in working with President Obama,” she said.

When will 0bama start thinking about making some sacrifices without whining? He wants us to feel sorry for him (and his wife) because he feels lonely in that big WH (which he says is a reason for bringing the world to him on Wednesday evenings.)

Being a community organizer isn’t demanding or full time. Being a State Rep/Senator isn’t a full time job. Being a US Senator certainly wasn’t a full time job for Barack because he spent most of his Senate career campaigning for President. So, of course he’s tired, he’s finally having to work.

It’s an open fact that liberals as a statistical group, wanting the government to take care of everyone from cradle to grave, perhaps so they don’t have to be bothered with the needs of others, give only a pittance to charities. No one seems to have put this together with the White House Gift Shop presents that the Obamas gave to the English Prime Minister Brown and his wife, who gave the Obamas beautifully thought out presents. It apparently didn’t enter the Obama minds or hearts to consider the persons that were coming to see them, to think how to honor or please them, who represent the country of our historical parentage. The Obama narcissim apparently prevents it. Their arrogance and sociopathy embarrasses our country. Maybe the general lack of liberal philanthropy is not about charitible giving, but truly about any giving.

Comment by FLDemFem | 2009-03-08 15:06:10

I am a liberal, a sixth generation Democrat from a family that has always been fairly well off. My grandmother always taught me, and this was enforced by my parents, that those who have, have an obligation to those who have not. The liberals don’t want the government to take care of them from cradle to grave, but we do want safety nets for those who fall on hard times and need a helping hand. We also want a guaranteed pension plan for people who have worked hard all their lives but may not have had the income to put aside much for their retirement. That would be Social Security. When my grandmother became eligible for SS, she tried to tell them she didn’t need it and not to send it to her. The government’s reply was that would mess up the book-keeping. So she used that money to supplement scholarship students who got money for tuition and books but couldn’t go because of living expenses. The SS money sent many kids to college when they otherwise wouldn’t have gone since their parents couldn’t afford the needed stipend for living expenses. When she died and left me a good amount of money, the first thing I did was use some of my new income to send a kid to college, someone else’s kid. I also built a church in the community I lived in that also functions as a cooling center for seniors in summer. What I had been looking forward to was a trip to Europe to see the places I had been as a child. I looked at the numbers and decided that the tuition and the church were more important than revisiting old haunts. So don’t you sit there and tell me liberals don’t give to help their fellow citizens. We do. And we give up things we want to do so that we can.

You can’t buy or assume class. I have known very poor people who have had more class, dignity and taste than our current occupants of the White House. What most Americans don’t realize is the the Queen is not just a jewel-wearing prop. She is “head of state” and a very skilled stateswoman. In Europe governments have “ceremonial” heads of state. In America the presidency has to cover both the political as well as the statesman roles of a head of government. State dinners and the like are extremely important. Statesmanship is treated very seriously among other world leaders. These clods in the White House know how to through a rave and how to deal with a crowd of hysterical teenagers and fanatics, but they have no clue on how to conduct a reception for a world leader. (And Oprah is not the one to go to for lessons; she is the very essence of nouveau riche and tacky.) That reflects badly on all of us and makes it difficult for our diplomats to do their jobs–behind the scenes and around the world.

She is “head of state” and a very skilled stateswoman.

And she has seen a great many American Presidents come and go. Of all the world’s leaders, she has an insight on us and our leadership that no other has. That One would be wise to mind his Chicago manners.

He’s gettin’ a wee bit testy!

New York Times “Quote of the Day”

“Look, I wish I had the luxury of just dealing with a modest recession or just dealing with health care or just dealing with energy or just dealing with Iraq or just dealing with Afghanistan. I don’t have that luxury, and I don’t think the American people do either.”

–PRESIDENT OBAMA.

Too tired for foreign visitors

I suppose that 0300 phone call just won’t be answered. That One is too tired, and besides, if it’s important, they’ll just leave a message.

This is going to come back to haunt all the obamabots at some point.

I think he’s just tired of himself! I am horribly tired of the Obama myself!!!

Comment by Palm Tree | 2009-03-08 09:13:39

Obama is six-weeks out and this quote just cries out ‘tired.’ It certainly does not instill confidence…

“Pres. Obama: Somebody noted to me that by the time something reaches my desk, that means it’s really hard. Because if it were easy, somebody else would have made the decision and somebody else would have solved it.”

All these problems were in the pipeline during the campaign.
They did not occur on January 20th.
We have a head of state who wants to delegate all the work while he plays tiddle-winks!
Well, I’m tired too!
We needed the BEST person for the job during these perilous times, and we certainly did not even come close!

Comment by foxyladi14 | 2009-03-08 18:23:59

the best man for this job was a woman..

Anthology of non-accomplishments and lax work ethic through out his career. {something is odd — how did he get away with this all his so called lack luster career. Who propped him up?}

We noticed it, commented about it and wrote about it. This is not a big surprise. He thought he would get a bunch of expert advisers and he need not lift his finger.

So, about that compensation Obamabots thought Michelle deserved for her duties as First Lady Macbeth. How much do you thinks she’s worth now?

They both seem to be an expensive drag on the taxpayers for what we are getting out of them. Humiliation, massive debt, generational destruction of our ecomony. Shouldn’t they at least be paying us rent, gas money for the Boing, something?

Comment by KintheNorthwest | 2009-03-08 14:22:06

I was just thinking about that too. With all of Obam’s and Michelle’s high class education they dont even know how to treat dignitaries. Hmmmmm.
If Michelle cant even show some class then what does that look like for Americans.

Tired Mr. Morrissey? Wondering why NO ONE is seriously concerned and talking about the ominous photos published on the web and on television showing Barack Obama drinking beer at the DC basketball game last week-end? This is a man with addictions in his past. He went to AA for years. Now, over his head which MANY of us knew he was going to be - he is now overwhelmed - DRINKING and can’t stop smoking, too? How many of the rest of you know how serious this is? And no one is talking about it? All the while BO apparently has no TelePrompTer reminding him of the urgent need for oversight in the office of the Sec. of Treasury who can’t even keep or find any staff to work on the most critical problem in this country right now - the ECONOMY and we have no staff in there working?????

Comment by Chicago Joe | 2009-03-08 23:55:43

Where has it been reported that Obama went to AA for years? I have read widely about him and don’t recall seeing this. Please tell me where to find that information.

Comment by American Girl in Italy | 2009-03-08 23:59:56

I have never heard that either.

So it should be a happy time for the liberals. We have a democrat in the White house. Programs are being started to help the poor and middle class survive after the corporate meltdown and predatory lenders have gone bust. We are again focusing on build…

During the primary I read several pieces about Barack Obama and his use of drugs/alcohol AND I read many comments by people who knew him from this otherwise anonymous source. It’s almost impossible to retrieve all that information now and especially since the “media” the DNC and all this corruption that got him elected have done everything to cover up anything that would affect his getting elected! Still, there is plenty of legitimate evidence that alludes to his addictive condition on the internet. So you can go ahead and think of this disease as “moral” issue and take offence with my legitimate concerns - all while in fact this is about a “disease” and the “health” condition of the President of the United States! Beyond that, he has himself already admitted that he CAN NOT quit smoking even NOW and unless you’ve been in the grips of that addiction - maybe you don’t know there isn’t room for much else especially when everyone is watching. And all to the extent that it affects his children, makes things look not so great for him - the fact that this has a “grip” on him! THAT is a picture of a person with an addictive personality. Do you know anything about addiction? And he is running this country! Ok, HE is in trouble at the most critical time in our history?!!! Oh, let’s just have MORE media, DNC, Axelrod and Obama COVER UP - leave it unchecked and let this country go to hell in a handbasket!

YES! It is a very legitimate concern!

Comment by jmr | 2009-03-10 15:08:46

P.S.

At the very least - let go of the alcoholism for a moment! Are you not concerned or outraged that Barack Obama is letting the Office of the Treasure be hugely understaffed at this the most critical time in our economical HISTORY? And why is that happening?
