The Left Piles On Their Own “The One”
By SusanUnPC on March 24, 2009 at 12:55 PM in Fox News, New York Times
Oh yes. We’ve covered the primary critics here:
See Larry Johnson’s slammin’ hammer, “Hey Frank. Barack is Drowning Black Folk.”
— After I read Larry’s piece, I couldn’t decide who he has the most contempt for. Barack or Frank. Heh.
And see my hot-potato piece on Monday, “[WaPo Elitist Update & TV Must-Watch] Let’s Check Timmy’s “Toxic Assets” Plan.”
– Therein I feature Paul Krugman, a personal favorite of mine. As my friends know.
Maureen Dowd? Why should we write about her?

It’s about frigging time. But they covered for him, committed journalistic suicide for him, sold America out for him, etc. I have no sympathy for them. I just hope that their lives are the first shot to hell because of the “tingles” up their legs.
Yes, I’m with you there. The media are the chief culprits.
Had they bothered to vet this man before Super Duper Tuesday last year, we would have Hillary today. Clearly she is someone with far better ideas and understanding of the economy and some of these self same critics (Krugman, nobel laureate chief among them), acknowledged as much.
George Will wrote about “the toxic assets elected,” Great title I thought which says it all.
I just love the toxic asset elected titled.
The media is proving once more that they are bunch of morons and spineless idiots.
1) They cheered Bush into Iraq. Later it turned out to be a total lie.
2) Then they pushed this TOXIC FRAUD of a man down our throat. I really hate the press.
They covered him, and covered up for him!
I hope they get as pissed off as I am and decide to uncover some of those secrets soon!
Too little too late in my opinion.
Though it was completely expected ( this incompetent leadership based on a foundation of corruption),it still is mind boggeling just how fast the destruction and ignorance errupted.
A few weeks after the election, I wrote on this blog that for my own sanity I needed to give Obama the benefit of the doubt. Well, I did. Now what?
The Mojave desert dilemma sums up the far left quite nicely. No, you can’t drill for oil in Alaska or offshore, no you can’t burn coal, no you can’t over your carbon allotment, no you can’t put those solar plants in the desert and no you can’t put those wind turbines in plain sight, no you can’t dam any more rivers, and no to nuclear plants as well. So, o.k. if we are all going to go without energy, and it is looking that way… then is it too much to expect the far left to give up their private jets? But seriously, how are we going to revitalize industry in this country without power. This is beyond insanity, as insanity would be excusable.
I’m a Californian. I don’t like Schwartzennegger. But what he said sums it up completely. There are miles and miles of Mojave that are not even within sight of any road. This is nuts.
Arnold was dead on right… if you can’t place “solar” panels in a desert then where the h*ll can you put them? I guess anywhere except where there might be one of Nancy’s mice, or some rare gecko, or some cactus, or who knows? I am beginning to think the far left just wants to drive us back into an agrarian society where we all grow our own food and live off the land. Just so long as we have enough tax to pay to keep them all in jet fuel.
No they’re trying to do away with that also. If you’re a backyard gardner you may soon expect a visit from the FDA and face stiff penalties for growing crops that they haven’t inspected even if all your doing is using them to feed your family. They’re also going to push organic growers and farmers out of business so they can completely control the worlds food sources. Of course Michelle won’t be fined.
oh wow….I hadn’t heard about him not wanting solar panels in the desert….LMAO…these fools are really embarrassing themselves badly. Oh geez….
My personal opinion is that this creep will end up driving oil prices way up, one way or another. Iran, Russia, Venezuela, etc. are all suffering because oil tanked. It’s a big part of their income. 0Zero has no real plan to get us off oil any time soon, or the rest of the world either. I think he knows damned well that his lousy energy policy will drive oil to $200/barrel within a year.
I am a Californian too, and saw this topic discussed a few weeks back on local tv. The challenge of transporting the solar energy from the desert to cities was also brought up. I am not an expert on the issue, but I was surprised that the option of putting solar panels on roof tops in the cities was not mentioned. Though I am sure other objections would arise. But still, it should be considered.
Get a tent, sleeping bag, fishing pole, and some flint. Then you can live in the beautiful green environment and watch the magnificent, unpolluted sunsets!
One of the things that made me know 0bama was a complete sham and narcissist from the get-go, who did NOT want to do the president’s job, but wanted the position and the trappings and the adulation, was this little insight into his character from a journalist, David Mendell, at the 2004 convention.
I read it way back when, and said to myself, “this guy will go far in politics, but for all the wrong reasons”.
he’s walking around the outside of the Boston FleetCenter arena. He was in this real cocky strut of his, which you can see quite frequently. He was like an athlete gearing up for the big game, and he kind of looked like that. …
I said, “You seem to be doing fine this week. Everybody seems to really be taking to you well.” And he said: “I got some game. I can play at this level. I’m LeBron, baby.” He was comparing himself, obviously, to LeBron James, the phenom in the NBA at that point.
That little window into the soul right there told me all I ever needed to know about this man’s character and motivations.
He doesn’t know CRAP about LaBron James … who works hard and gives credit to those who surround him. Frankly, I’d rather have no college degree LaBron over no humility Barry any day, any season, spotting any number of points, rebounds and assists.
LeBron didn’t come out of college a mediocre player, sneer at the idea of hard training, then strut up and DEMAND to be handed starting center in the championships on a silver plate, just because he has a nice smile.
LeBron worked his ass off. LeBron earned his status. 0bama is “playing” at that level, all right – like a little boy bouncing around his room making cheering crowd noises crowing, “I am the best, I am LeBron!”
A country of ADULTS should have told the little pissant to go take the trash out, clean his room, and wash his damn hands before he helped with the dishes – instead they reinforced his delusions.
Lebron was a nice kid from my neck of the woods who has gone on to achieve great things.
and Lebron has always been humble.
exactly. now we’re screwed.
And that about sums it up. Those of us who have been watching his political ascent know that Barack has been gaming the system all along. He is definitely in it for the high of winning. So he is addicted to the power and adulation that come with the win. ANd the press gave him plenty of that.
I hope that Lebron James reference comes back to haunt him. I know Lebron James, Barry, and you’re no Lebron.
I have said all along, I don’t think he wanted to be President, he just wanted to win. He doesn’t want to have to work – he doesn’t know how — he never has.
Maybe that is the number one reason to have “the system” in charge of as little as possible then, because every “system” can be gamed. Everytime the government passes laws, there are those seeking to loophole or game the system. I think that is why Barack became a constitutional lawyer to begin with. Maybe it was not out of a love or respect for our system and laws, but perhaps out of a contempt for them. What better way to “game” the system?
correct; it is time for a massive shrinkage of the federal government.
None of O supporters/media will get one bit of sympathy from me. You reap what you sow.
It must be nice to have a mechanism that allows one to extract a sense of personal vidication and gratification from an unfolding collective disaster. Remember, if the ship sinks, we’re all going to be treading water in the same damn ocean.
…vindication…
cynic…I want him to fail immediately because he hates this country, doesn’t give a DAMN about US, is completely incompetent, on some sort of drugs, etc. I want a “real” President. This joke needs to stop before he completely destroys us. We’re treading the ocean now, and seeing that he can’t do the job, doesn’t want the job, and is sinking us faster than we even thought. The sooner he is gone, the better chance of recovery we have. Period. To think otherwise is ignorance.
I think even Biden could do a better job.
Maybe this thing is so far broken that it will take the “ship sinking” to be able to rebuild? Washington is broken and there is but one political party and that party’s goal is to perpetuate the broken system itself. I think for the rest of us, we will all come together at some point. I just hope it won’t be too late.
I agree, we will and it won’t be.
Possibly. I hold out no hope for the system as it currently exists. The sort of polarization I’m seeing is unlike any I’ve seen before and is getting progressively worse. I think our chances were lost with the demonization of both HRC and McCain.
Remember, if the ship sinks, we’re all going to be treading water in the same damn ocean.
You’re going to have to do better than that. Being called a racist c*nt who was ready to jettison her rights to an abortion wasn’t convincing, either …. reeping and sowing … reeping and sowing. Couldn’t have happened to a more appropriate axx.
OH I almostt forgot about all the Hanger threats, what a lovely year we’ve had, too bad WE now have to pay because the fools wouldn’t listen to us. THEY all knew better, we were just bitter old racists. ASSES all of them
do you really think we want disaster?? It has nothing to do with personal gratification. It’s just a fact, when you do the wrong thing, there are consequences.
So show me who it is that has that secret knowledge about how to fix things. I hear plenty of angry criticisms, but no alternative responses. The criticisms seem entirely reactionary, seriously corrosive, but totally devoid of any concrete, helpful suggestions. Just like that little gem of an RNSC ad.
You’re worried about the future consequences of Obama’s efforts to hold things together. I’m worried about the accumulated consequences that he’s trying to deal with at the given moment. I’ll worry about what might be around the curve he’s trying to turn if he manages to keep us from going over the frickin’ cliff.
cynic…grow up and stop the trolling. Really. We don’t NEED the Pork Bill, what a joke. I have seen you piss and moan about Republicans all day long, support the Fraud and never give a reason why you do it. The new “GIVE Act?” Try defending that. Oh, sure, you’ll put some stink on it that it’s really great that our personal freedoms are being eroded, and this mandatory brownshirt crap is a great thing for America. Are you kidding me? Can you stop your hate for the right and start being American? This country is becoming Cuba, or much worse, under our noses and it’s time people like you stop defending it. Give me a BREAK. The list of reasons Obama needs to get the hell out of this country is endless. He screws up every day, mocks us, mocks this country, and you support it? If you want to live under the rule of Chavez, Castro, Hitler, etc. then why don’t you move to one of the countries that espouses the commie agenda?
This stuff sounds like a broken record. Just an endless, droning repetition of the same accusations the right has been spinning out since Obama first announced his candidacy and it suddenly dawned on them that he might represent a political threat. The country is in a state of crisis, but their entire preoccupation is with how they can damage their political opponents sufficiently to gain some ground in the next election.
This discussion is a waste of our time. People should be talking the pros and cons of policy, and discussing the meaning of factual news coverage. Instead, we get sucked into talking about pointless garbage like the ulterior motives of having planting a White House vegetable garden, what it means to the nation that Michelle Obama goes sleeveless, whether Obama is a national disgrace for working without a coat and tie, or what the sinister implications of the President having laughed at himself might be. Pardon me. I’m leaving for a while to laugh at myself.
We’re laughing too, cynic, because I have never seen you “discuss policies” whatsoever. We do. We post links, articles, and discuss what’s going on. ALL you do is crap on the GOP and rail on those of us who question Obama. I have never, ever seen you give one good reason to support the Fraud. Never. Why? Because you can’t. Period.
Pardon us while we mourn the loss of long-time sense of decorum and proper, respectful business attire.
Pardon us while we mourn our hopes for a truly intelligent (not just play one on TV campaign commercials), knowlegable, and competent TOTUS-reader.
Pardon us while we mourn the loss of a CIC who has healthy coping skills (not drugs) and a strong work ethic.
Pardon us while we mourn what could have been.
Why do you come to this site when you never seem to have a cogent argument for why you support the policies of President Obama? When are you going to become a person who “should be talking the pros and cons of policy, and discussing the meaning of factual news coverage?”
Sorry lorac..this comment was put forth for the cyncic….
Sorry lorac..this comment was put forth for the cynic
Ignorance is bliss! His “Bailouts” and ‘Stimulus” packages have already taken us over the “frickin’ cliff”
Well you Kool-Aide chugging morons could have listened to us A YEAR AGO when we told you your then slacker candidate was not only not up to being POTUS, he was absolutely unqualified. When I look at all the rubbish you ditto-headed microcephalous automatons kept posting day after day from the Powerpoint Presentations given you by the False Messiah, I can’t help but wonder how you can possibly be cogent enough look before you use any sort of modern equipment and why you haven’t fried yourself into the next life out of sheer invincible ignorance.
You were warned about That One over and over again but chose to skip your merry way down perdition lane with the unicorns and hopey-changey feel-good clap-trap directly to the winter retreat of That One overlooking the river Styx.
It’s your hell–own it.
Quit spending obsecene amounts of Money on things we can’t afford would be a good place to start. Stop the bill that wants to force us to volunteer and is going to cost hundreds of billions of dollars is another suggestion. Obama remebering he has a medical condition and is so sorry but he must step down would be my best solution. He could stop flying all around and actually do HIS job and fill all the positions needed in the treasurery would be another start.
Tell his friend Soros to stop Fing with the market would be a HUGE help.
Every single time I think of Soros now I think of Black Wednesday and that he has a lot more to do with what is going on then we’re being lead to believe. I think he’s getting exactly what he wants.
The difference is that some of us that saw through Obama will have a clear conscience as we all go down.
So we can count on FOX to be critical of the one and report that the left is being critical of the one, but how about CNN or MSNBO? ABC, NBC, CBS? Until they report things like this nothing changes. I try to force myself to watch CNN to see what/if bots are getting eductaed at all. When I tune in? Not much, just excuses for The One. Hope these pundits bring the change.
For the longest time it thought it people just knew what we knew about Obama, that they would lose their support for him. I have come to believe the opposite — that as people lose their support for Obama that suddenly all the information about Obama will come to light — his connections and sweet deals in Illinois, his lack of records, and quite possibly his questionable birth certificate. (I know, it is all tinfoil hat area — but just what is there in his birth certificate that has him spending all that money to stop us from seeing it.)
I wrote a letter to CNN congratulating them for a fourth place finish in the race for ratings. How can they go wrong when they have hacks like Cafferty, Campbell Brown, Wolfie Blitzer, Donna Brazile and Roland Martin showing their BS biased for the world to witness. Karma, pure and simple. I will NEVER ever read or watch those fools who flushed journalistic integrity for truth down the toilet. And for who? The empty suit, 0.
Well said, could not agree with you more!
I have personally never given them another viewing moment nor internet visits on their website after the scandalous behavior of their election reporting.
Sending a letter congratulating them on their poor rating however is just sweetly brilliant !
Elle, you can do it too! Just send an email…CNN (we also know about NBC, MSNBC, ABC and CBS don’t we) is a joke of a news outlet. The worse is when they present their news as if they are giving their viewers the truth and objectivity. The way they treated Hillary, Palin and McCain was the new low in Journalism. When I go to the airport and see them on the tv sets there, I turn on my ipod and tune them out. That’s how much I despise these news groups.
I think i will email them and tell them that I use to watch CNN religiously. From the Oklahoma city bombing, until early 2008. that is a long, damn time! I think I’ll suggest to them that they try an experiment and see what happens to their ratings if they actually get critical of The One and leave the hopey changey bus behind because as soon as he won, he left the hopey changey bus behind, too.
I concur. I watched them from the first Gulf War on. Bernie Shaw was at least no raving shill. Where on their overly-embellished website (talk about style over substance) can I send them some well-earned criticism?
He has never really worked a real job (Oh, I forgot he was a community organizer..) and even Steve Croft said he’d never managed anything except a campaign and wrote a book.
This guy was not prepared to be POTUS. We knew Hillary was but “they” didn’t want her.
I wonder if anyone will ever write a book about the primaries; the Dems who called for Hil to get out each time she won a primary, etc.
We’re stuck with this guy for 4 yrs.
And, cynic–Paul Krugman and others HAVE put forward other ideas but the WH is not listening.
There’s a documentary being made that includes the Caucus Fraud and what was done to Hillary in the primaries. The first 20 minutes are on the website. http://www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com Everyone knows that Hillary won the primary and should have been the nominee. Everyone but the dumbazz bots.
something tells me Hillary will still have the last word in all of this.
Amen to that. It still hurts.
o.k. so my brain hurts from all the 180’s we’re all being forced to take…
so what is real and what is an illusion?
barack the socialist, populist, out to screw wall street! wreck our economy forever!
OR
barack the bought man, the corporate manchurian candidate – ready & willing to hand everything over to wall st.
he is both! he is neither!critics on the left! critics on the right! fans on the left! fans on the right! rich & poor….
I tell you, my brain is addled…HELP!
I am sick and tired of 0bama blaming everything on bush. he wanted it, he bought it, now HE OWNS IT!!!.
