March Madness Continues. It’s Round Two in Our Tournament to Determine the Biggest Ass on the American Political Landscape.
By RobWarrior on March 26, 2009 at 12:35 AM in Andrew Sullivan, Barack Obama, Barney Frank, Bill Richardson, Chris Matthews, Christopher Dodd, Chuck Schumer, David Axelrod, Dick Cheney, Donna Brazile, Keith Olbermann, Michelle Obama, Nocturnal Warrior, Oprah, Ted Kennedy
It was everything you would expect from the first round of a March Madness Tournament. Upsets, buzzer beaters, overtime and blowouts. Hard fouls, sharp elbows, long distance bombs and Larry Craig’s legendary wide stance. The battle for the No Quarter Trophy is underway. One National Champion will be named. The person you decide is the Biggest Ass on the American Political Landscape.
The first round winners were determined by your votes and revealed last night on the Nocturnal Warrior Show on No Quarter Radio. You can listen to that here. We did a review of last night’s so-called press conference followed by the tournament results. The show includes the scores, a review of the next round matchups and all sorts of commentary that we just can’t fit here.
Remember, your votes determine the winners. We are asking you to look at each matchup and determine for yourself who is the bigger ass in each matchup (We are not asking who has the biggest ass, although that may have helped Oprah and Donna Brazile in round one). Without further ado here we go:

Interesting that I seem to vote with the group.
Even the ones I had a bit of a problem deciding between were with the popular vote, even though they were close.
I was only off on a couple. I underestimated the asshatness of Richardson and Andrew Sullivan.
But c’mon, Matthews over Ayers? Look, we know Matthews is a major leauge asshat, but planning to destroy property and life, getting off on the charges, and then tour liberal campuses like some rock star, that’s pretty damn assholioish.
Didn’t AG Holder just order the SF police to shut their mouths on Ayers and his involvement of the death of an officer when they bombed a police station?
At least Ayres has enough sense to keep his head down, while Matthews constantly reminds us why we despise him.
Dang, the pelosi vs. Rangel was a tough choice…
I voted against the majority several times, but it’s just so hard to decide. They are all clearly contenders.
Amen
Some of these are really difficult…
Reid v Kerry
Axelrod v MO can you imagine how back stabbin that is? Yikes!
Mr. Tingles vs Mr “I did not murder anyone with bombs but Frank introduced me to BO”, Ayers.
Tommy and Billy?
and Rahm v cheney? Both are saying debts don’t matter.
Ann v Madow? That sucker would go 15 rounds..
I wonder who has the ropa dope up there sleave?
I picked Daschle solely on the fact that this man owed more in taxes alone ($100,000) than most people make in a year. Major asshat.
I think Kerry and Kennedy should win in their categories because they made it okay for the Dems to defect from supporting HRC during a crucial time in the primaries. Also, they just made fools of themselves slobbering all over Obama — and Obama still lost in their state!
As with the first round, I had the toughest time deciding on the Capitol Hill category. Really though, all of the contenders are repulsive snakes. Oh, sorry, snakes.
I have to laugh…
A few years back I would have easily have voted for William (the bloody)Kristol but how times have changed.
Me too! Its an upside world. Scary.
I’d like to vote for all of them, multiple times….too bad this poll isn’t run by Barry’s friends at ACORN.
LOL!!! (Maybe your dog, your houseplant, and the ghost of your great-grandfather can vote?)
has anyone done a story on the Alaskan Democratic Party trying to bankrupt the Palins through frivolous law suits. The democratic party is mentally unbalanced. I’m not sure why i ever identified with them. If there is any justice left in the universe, there better be a big batch of Karmic Whoopass coming around for these fools.
amazing, isn’t it? seems a lot like acorn protection rackets.
and if she manages to keep on keeping on, despite their best efforts to destroy and bankrupt her, you just know that one of the dem campaign tactics will be to go on and on about how many ethics complaints there were against her. and the dem’s msm propaganda pushers will push the meme ad nauseum, never mentioning that the complaints were just harassment by dem political enemies.
like you, i can’t figure out how i ever identified with such a corrupt party. did so since the 60s, but have come to hate them.
Sarah Palin will be President some day. When Americans become human and decent. Until then the best I could do, and my mother, was to send her money to pay her legal fees. The legal fees that the filthy dirty demoncraps cost her for the witch hunt. These are the reasons that I hope the DNC falls off a cliff asap.
This country will not be ready for a woman president for a long time to come. The problem that female POTUS candidates have is female voters.
If the female vote had gone for HRC in the Dem primaries, or for Palin in the general, I’d have some hope that we will someday see a woman president.
You are so right. For whatever reason, women buy into the media bad rap on women. This was never more evident than this past election. It is WOMEN who won’t vote for women.
You are exactly right!
Especially after seeing how proud some women (I use the term loosely) were to show off and display their Palin is a CXXT shirts.
I just wanted to puke and smack them!
We are our own worst enemy
Several of them are really tight. Harder to decide this time.
This is such a vile, gross, disgusting group of people I can’t begin to pick a “winner.” They’re all losers.
i feel very confident that i can pick an asshole when i see one (oh maybe i should rephrase that).
but in selecting my assholes, every pick of mine here had, voila, gotten the majority of votes. so i got 100 percent “correct”
hoo ray for me.
SUSAN IS ONIONBOB ON MODERATION OR BANNED?
I know this is OT but Wonderful!!!!!

Some were very close–I had to think about it! But I tried to pick the one that had the power to affect my life the most. Great poll!
Wow, Rachael Maddow is just pounding Ann Coulter. Secretly, I think Ann is enjoying it.
A couple of these were tough choices:
Maddow-Coulter – Coulter has been an ass for such a long time, but Rachel won out during the primaries. And Coulter actually complimented Hillary a few times.
Daschle-Richardson – Judas got my vote here. Nuff said.
Dowd-Shuster – I went with Shuster. His remark about Chelsea Clinton was just so over the top.
If I remember correctly, didn’t Coulter even say she would vote for Hillary over McCain? I know she hates McCain but she did like Palin.
Yeah, but it was more of an anti-McCain statement than a pro-Hillary statement. Coulter did say she thought Hillary was tough and would be strong in the foreign policy department.
yes, but Dowd is a “traitor”…and traitors are at the bottom of the cesspool.
Dowd’s recent turnaround on Obama after vilifying Hillary is just despicable. When you spew so much venom, the trough has to go deep and she is a bottom-feeder.

Several of the current matchups were apples-and-oranges type of ass. Some of the choices for me came down to which one has the greater (past or present) power to be an ass.
Even if Rahm Emanuel gets indicted by Fitzgerald in a week or two in the Blagojevich pay-to-play scheme, and even considering his Freddy/Fanny profiteering, there is no way he is a bigger ass than Cheney, no way. Like a damn fool Cheney is out there on the talk shows still thinking he is relevant. Cheney is evil incarnate, Cheney malevolence personified, and he caused more harm to our nation and the world, and to individuals accidently in his treacherous path, than any VP or President in our history. Americans really should be infuriated by everything Cheney, because he is one enormously outrageous ass. I’m guessing there is a bit of partisan protection in the voting above, but that’s okay, it’s our prerogative as NQers spanning the political spectrum.
Whew, got that out of my system. Thanks Nocturnal Warrior… I’m loving your program, the humor, the risque innuendos, and how about that music for the intense competition! Great fun.
Someone should send this to Oprah to show how well she is liked anymore.
They were such tough calls. Daschle and Richardson was one of the hardest for me since daschele helped the little “O” get the ball rolling from the very beginning and Richardson just stood their with the knife in the end
White House:
GO OBAMA–GO-OO-OBAMA!!! This will be the first thing in your life you have earned of your own accord!! (I feel proud of him–he truly deserves this title–strange, this {{shudder}} hopeful desire for him to win. Ugg–this cannot be healthy…)
Summers–Geithner is just the menacing little elf they put out there but the giant oozing ogre behind the scene of this economic destruction plan is Summers.
Rahm–Yes, it’s hard to vote against pure, unadulterated evil, but Rahm is here with us today. Beware, friends–he has ballet shoes and he is NOT afraid to use them!
Axelrod–Oh, Michelle, I really hate to see you go, but you are merely self-centered. It is Axelrod who is manipulating the zeitgeist of our times and brainwashing the innocent masses.
Capitol Hill
Pelosi–You are such a winner, girl! This one totally suits you! (Gucci suit, that is, Prada shoes, the finest champaign on your private (yeah, it is now!) jet–while the rest of us get a lousy crumb of cake if we’re lucky.)
McCaskill–Why is Boehner in here again? He is trying to muster some opposition to the spend-a-thon. Due respect.
Frank–Wow, what a fight! Kennedy really should be honored for his lifetime commitment to a**iness, having killed someone and never having displayed appropriate shame for it, but Frank is our present day a**, working his bleating little heart out to push us into the black spending hole of doom. Well done, Barn-ster!
Reid–Is anyone attending this match? It is probably boring, along the lines of watching paint dry, but Reid is a bona-fide actual leader and so deserves the recognition.
Media
Olberman–OK, I’m kind-of ticked he kicked Katie’s behind so handily last round, but I have to admit he is the supreme Sith Lord. (”JOIN me [guhh-kauuuwt, guhh-kauuuwt]…”)
Madcow Maddow–it’s your era now and you’ve come a long way, baby. You could destroy even a pollyanna’s will to live with the awful timbre and cadence of that voice. You are such a little smartie(a**), the way you learned to do that! {tee hee!
}
Dowd–again, UNFORGIVABLE!!
Klein–for spreading the (manufactured) ‘news’ far and wide.
At Large
Matthews–yes, even blowing people up cannot compare to selling your brain. Sign: ‘This Space for Sale, Subprime’ (pointing into Tingly’s ears)
Brazile–The Brazile-nutty professor. She pulled out a brilliant late move with that delusional WaPo article this week. Yay for her!
Richardson–distraught, wretched, menacing, and desperate–like a wild boar in quick sand. I am afraid of what will happen if he doesn’t make it in something. Come on, people, throw him a rope! He won’t turn on you later and strangle you with it–really–trust him!
O-O-O-Oprah!–For a person who reads lots of books, she totally missed out on the important ones. Try Bastiat, De Tocqueville, Mises, Hayek, Hazlitt, Woods, Rockwell and Paul…please. You might realize something: that he is most certainly not “The One”.
A comment about the polling software above. As far as what I see it has made bold and italicized my choices, pretty sophisticated software to uniquely emphasize each voter’s choices. Cool.
