This man should at the very least be put on leave until this is settled legally. A few years ago, a football player for Seattle (I think) beat up his wife and she got a restraining order against him, but the play offs were coming up and the team needed this player so nothing was done. These things happen time after time and women’s complaints are ignored. If the police receive a 911 call, show up at a house to find a woman beaten and bruised and she says her husband/boyfriend did it to her, why would the charges be dropped even if she refuses to testify? I’d like to know why newspapers and media ignore these stories even discard letters to the editor protesting. Please everyone, write to the NY DNC even if you don’t live in that state. This man cannot be allowed to represent the decent people in his district.

That’s what we are here for. Actually The New Agenda was formed in August after Hillary dropped out and we said never again. Then we ended up being the only women’s rights group to speak out for Sarah. So sad. We need to change our culture!

Interesting how the entire Troopergate affair with Sarah Palin began with her fighting the good old boys network within law enforcement who deemed a 5-day suspension with pay apt punishment for a state trooper who had admittedly used a taser gun on his step-son, drove in his police car while drunk, and threatened the life of Sarah’s father. The hatred spilling out from the left over her “abuse of power” was a sight to behold, showing me the true nature of these zealots. Maybe if more families of victims got involved, like the Palins and WMCB, we could at least put a dent in this insidious behavior that women alone, without family support, are much more vulnerable to. That’s what “family values” are, love and support and not always “minding your own business” when the situation warrants it. WMCB, you rock.
