Anderson Cooper: “IT’S HARD TO TALK WHEN YOU’RE TEABAGGING”

He says it at second 51 of this video:

Teabagging: You seem to know why all your friends in the media are using this term, Anderson. Do you mind elaborating? Do you have intimate knowledge of this sexual practice everyone the “progressive” press now seems to degrade as base homosexual activity? Do you too engage in gay bashing? Do you too think all Republicans are (gay) teabaggers? Do you know this firsthand? Or is it hard to be an objective reporter when one is teabagging with the President? I’m surprised you can talk.

Very funny and accurate! What a jerk! I am soooo sick of CNN looping this meme. Somebody needs to reload the teleprompter. Puerile humor is to the MSM as intelligence is to Mensa.

“Or is it hard to be an objective reporter when one is teabagging the President?”

Fabulous line. Yep, that about sums it up.

IMPEACH, IMPEACH, IMPEACH!!!!!

It seems fair since they impeached Bill Clinton for a similar act!

So where is Anderson Cooper tonight???

Did he have to take a time out??

Comment by Baba Rum Raisin | 2009-04-15 23:11:36

He had to catch the Cleveland Steamer with Rusty Trombone and Dirty Sanchez.

Good lord…Isn’t he gay? And he doesn’t get how wrong this crap is? No wonder CNN can’t get into the ratings race. They suck.

Comment by ScottVA | 2009-04-16 00:32:35

Yes, he’s a big homo and Yes, he should know better!

PLEASE DON’T USE THAT TERM.

Comment by NoBamaNoWay | 2009-04-16 03:30:15

he’s a whore first, gay second.

Comment by BJ | 2009-04-17 01:15:52

OF COURSE HE IS – everyone in the NYC gay community knows it. How pathetic that he would deign himself to participate in such behavior.

Comment by Elliott | 2009-04-15 23:10:46

Demean, belittle, demonize. Stop all dissent with orders from the WH. I think I will send an email to CNN advising that I know what this term means in street talk and perhaps the FCC should investigate their use of obscene sexual slang. Perhaps their sponsors also need to know.

Comment by Portia Elizabeth | 2009-04-16 00:03:06

See the link on the David Schuster thread. It’ll take you right to the FCC complaint site.

Comment by Elliott | 2009-04-16 00:14:57

Thanks. This is foul and needs to be pointed out. I do not expect anything to be done about it but name calling is trying to change the subject and shame everyone into silence. This needs to be turned around on them and spreading the word that this is a deliberate obscenity is the start.

Comment by Jaime | 2009-04-16 02:54:23

CNN is a cable network and therefore not subject to FCC censorship.

Comment by Patience | 2009-04-16 00:11:04

I agree. The widespread mockery of this example of community activism is so hypocritical.

I’m so tired of the general smirking attitude that prevails anymore on CNN and MSNBC. They’ve lost me as a viewer.

Comment by Woman Voter | 2009-04-16 00:36:23

School report.

My 20 year old son says political talks has all but stopped on campus. His friends no longer complain when he turn on Fox News. My 18 year old daughter was not old enough to vote last fall. She did not like McCain. She now hates the language she hears from the left. She wants a third choice.

I think these kids are not, in their nature, mean. And I think they are getting turned off by the so-called grownups acting mean and childish. These kids are too close to the early age when that kind of language (that which we have heard today from the left bank) only came from spitting idiots.

It may be possible that the college crowd, that followed the soft and fuzzy unity pony in 2008, won’t be as easy to move in 2010 or 12, especially if the new college entrants begin to associate democrats with nasty.

JMHO.

Comment by Eastan McNeal | 2009-04-15 23:17:45

I think the s after talk (in first par) belongs after the turn on second line. Yo. The English is my tang, bro!

Comment by I'm a Linda too | 2009-04-15 23:32:34

Good to hear. I just was so disgusted by talk coming out of the mouth of the lefties. And they didn’t care if you were a friend for years, if you questioned Weary Barry, it was all out personal assault and in public.

As the posters we made said, their own conduct helped show why they were choosing Obama and I didn’t want to live in a country with their nasty, mean, condescending, selfish society.

It’s cable, that’s how MSNBC got away with it.

But…are there any people left that think they have to tell the truth or aren’t freaks with their own agenda trying to fool the public?

Comment by pm317 | 2009-04-15 23:35:42

What went on today is as much a cultural war as it is a reaction to all the bailouts, AIG, and so on.. The poetic teleprompter escapades of 0bama appeals to the extreme left-wing (they will keep rationalizing their choice) but people in the middle are scratching their heads now. They did that then in GE too but voted for him anyway because of no good alternative. I think this movement is real and will grow. It comprises of Republicans, independents and the new Dem entrants, the 0bama disbelievers from the Democratic Primary, at least 18 million of them. All three will want a change and certainly no second term for 0bama. If CNN, MSNBC, and other smug bastards act the way they are acting now, the death will come faster. This is a no confidence motion from voters barely into 3 months of this administration. Not good and the media is making it worse.

Comment by Eastan McNeal | 2009-04-15 23:48:23

pm I want to talk to you about cultural war. But later. You are on to something.

Comment by Patience | 2009-04-16 00:22:02

You’ve made many good points.

The smirking on CNN and MSNBC is akin to whistling past the graveyard. Something’s happening, maybe the beginning of an even bigger movement, and they obviously didn’t want to cover it objectively.

Comment by Elliott | 2009-04-16 00:31:16

The administration is trying to nip dissent in the bud because it scares the crap out of them. Congressional elections are next year and candidates do not want to vote for policies which will set off riots in the parking lot of their offices. If Congress has to choose between their job and a president, the prez will loose and they know it. I think it grew past the “bud” stage today.

Comment by I'mFedUp | 2009-04-16 00:53:56

They better be scared. From what I saw today people want Pelosi, Reid and all the other scum in congress lynched.

Comment by HARP | 2009-04-16 00:57:10

As more of us believe that our taxes actually will rise, or double as Walker in my first link below claims, more taxpayers, especially from the middle class, will become angry and join the protests, I believe. I also believe that the people are ahead of the jeering, rude media on the issues of corporate bail-outs and a runaway budget *in these times*. In my reading, I came across that despised word of Americans living or traveling in Europe, VAT, as “inevitable”, and suggested as a new revenue source to fund 0’s healthcare plan–ugggg!

1. “Why your taxes could double”

And poor Anderson, he felt the need to have to repeat it a 2nd time. He didn’t get the rise he was expecting.

Cnn has been hurting and realized they have turned off indes and Conservatives, let alone Republicans so they are trying to feed read meat to Democrats which are probablky the only ones left they can market to.

And ewww, they feel the Democrats like to hear this stuff, huh? What does THAT say about them?

When I created the GoverNuts we had a rule. Do not do anything that would hurt the politicians’ parents or children. These left bank lunatics just insulted the children of every kid in America who has parents that decided to exercise their right to voice an opinion that is contrary to the Ori’s doctrine. I honestly think that the right and the left want people to join their union just to build their unions. Well. Here is my card. Check it out. I will not join. I have been registered to vote as an independent for over ** years and now I will start acting like you.

OK. Politicians. What do you have for me? I make more than most. I make less than many. I will not see a penny of your so-called transfer of wealth.

But that doesn’t bother the reporters at CNN.

Whatever happened to “starve the beast” and ” deficits don’t matter”?Clinton was the only president to offer a balanced budget in 30 years and the Right chooses NOW to protest?NOW? When NO one’s taxes have increased and 90 percent of the protesters are currently seeing their taxes lowered. I am watching stances change literally overnight and people wonder why the Tea Party “movement” is being laughed at.

“Deficits don’t matter”
- Dick Cheney echoing Republican mantra for the last 30 year.

Comment by susan | 2009-04-16 06:10:01

Although I did not attend any “tea parties”, I don’t appreciate having my kids and grandkids saddled with debt, even if I get enough extra money in my paycheck for a pizza or two. Is expecting your president and other elected officials to make sound fiscal decisions asking too much? I spend within my means personally, and I expect the same of my government.

One more time. This isn’t just the Right. It is also Democrats, Independents, and Republicans who recognize B. Clinton’s good management and GWB’s out of control spending too.

Funny thing so-called liberals/progressives didn’t want another Clinton in charge. Just think. I doubt H. Clinton would throw trillions of dollars at the problem.

This is not a Right Wing Protest. It crosses party lines, racial lines, and all other kind of lines.

Get a clue.

Comment by wodiej | 2009-04-16 08:09:33

Jaime, Clinton did not produce a balanced budget, a Republican controlled congress did.

Second, this is not a debate about Republicans or Democrats. This is about every single one of them that has upheld overspending. They are ALL guilty. I did not vote for Bush, did not like him, Cheney or Rumsfield.

You must not have very high expectations if you think $7 or $8 a week is a tax cut. When it is coupled with tax increases in various forms such as cigarette, liquor, gas tax increases, increases in groceries, utilities from Cap and Trade etc, it is a net loss for Americans.

All I hear from Obama supporters is we got a tax cut-ooh, watch out, what am I going to spend that $8 on every week! Please, that is an insult to intelligent people.

You can’t spend trillions and not raise taxes-it’s basic math. $10 minus $2 trillion = DEFICIT. It wasn’t ok for Bush and not ok for Obama. If there had been a protest against this, I would have attended when Bush was in office, but there weren’t any near my home.

So can the “they did it so we can do it” crap.

Comment by L | 2009-04-16 11:12:07

Comment by PamFlorida | 2009-04-16 14:17:12

Bush and the repubs spent like money grows on trees. Now, Obama and the dems are doing the same. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Yes, people are getting a lousy $400 tax reduction THIS year, but the bill on this deficit will come due pretty quickly.
How will this debt be retired? Who do you think is going to pay for this? If the goverment confiscated every last penny from the “wealthy”, it would not even be enough to make the interest payments on our national debt.
The Federal Government HAS NO INCOME, NO ASSETS-NOTHING TO PRODUCE INCOME! Our money, taken from us by fiat, pays for everything. Get it?

Comment by trixta | 2009-04-17 01:51:34

Best start learning Chinese, Jaime, cause you, your children and, grand children will be paying the interest on Obama’s 9 Trillion (plus) deficit.

Comment by Glennmcgahee | 2009-04-16 08:07:30

The media wishes to continue the game of us vs them. The Democrats against the Republicans. But this protest was from all Americans who are shocked at the give-away to the Corporate world with no questions asked. Its Goldman Sachs running the train. They have infiltrated our government through various means and we get to watch as they squander our treasure. The media has their marching orders and have become all too obvious. They want to stick to puppy dog stories and expect us all to go “Ah, how sweet”. But most of us are really pissed off.

Comment by ame | 2009-04-16 08:30:39

You got that right. Also, IMO, that’s part of the control of the American people. It’s all in the cycle; Republican Control, Democrat control, Republican control…etc, etc, etc. In the meantime, the American people lose. Let’s face it, both parties cater to the lobbyists and both parties will never permit the rise of any third party.

The report connected the three to often-armed militia groups by saying militia members are “usually supporters of former presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr.”

When their bottomline is hurt maybe just maybe the msm will become honest and relevant and remember what their job really is.
They may have to have a change in employees because it has been so long since many did their job they forgot how to do it and some employees never did understand what their real job was.

Seriously, this is way more offensive than Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction. Where’s the outrage to the FCC? Funny, Howard Stern was fined $500K for explaining what a “bumpkin” is on a 2001 show yet now talking heads supposedly broadcasting “respectible” news and opinions openly use the term teabagging to describe protestors who make their Obama look bad.

However, after what Obama did to Jesus she is just hopping mad and just told me that this act is the last straw…Yeah!!! Peace at last.

Andrew…I missed you at the Tea party

Here’s some more real ugliness…John Ziegler, who made the film “How Obama Got Elected” showed up at USC for the ridiculous Katie Couric/Walter Cronkite Award and was cuffed and manhandled. Good God what is up with these people?

Even more worth firing or at least FCC sanctions: Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, MSNBC, Anderson Cooper, David Gergen and CNN.

The blatant discussions and snickering about tea-bagging was vile in the extreme and should result in complaints to the FCC. All of these folks were snickering on their respective networks (who complicitly allowed it to go on) as if people in their pittance of an audience would not understand the in-joke. Well, we understand. Olbermann took it to the depth of a sewer last night by referencing tea-bagging, franks and beans, taint and several more vile double entendres of contempt and derision, going on and on. He should be fired. Maddow has been doing the same thing. Cooper said something about it being difficult for tea-baggers to talk with their mouths full and Gergen sniggered like a school boy at Cooper’s comments. What is wrong with these people? They should be sanctioned, fined and fired in no particular order.

In all this discussion about “right-wing extremists” at tea parties being such a danger, no one seems to have brought up the left-wing extremist students who interrupted Tom Tancredo (or was it Tidisco?) a couple days ago during his speech, and threw rocks and bricks at him, egged on by their professors in the room! These people are much more dangerous than most conservatives ever thought of being! They hold the record as the bombers and police-killers and beaters of old ladies on street corners who disagree with them! And now we’ve put one of their ilk as a high-level advisor to the Defense department in the Pentagon!

It’s just disgusting.
