Homeland Security Seeks to Silence Dissent

fox-teaWhile I have NO fear that you’ll dismiss today’s protests through your fear-mongering and ridicule, it is time — HuffyPoop, Daily Kos, FireDogLake, Crooks & Liars, et al. — that you GET A CLUE! It is a FACT that the Tea Party events Wednesday grew out of grassroots efforts and online communications. We know you got the “memo” to 1) claim Fox News and Dick Armey are behind the protests, and 2) make the participants all look like crazies. But the facts prove otherwise.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano

Catch my earlier story today, “Why Is the Left In a Tizzy Over Tax Day? [UPDATE: Video of Crazed 'Winger],” with numerous quotations from the disturbing one-sided Department of Homeland Security report that lumps all conservatives in with a miniscule number of extremists, and includes veterans because, after all, they’re trained in combat and could easily be used by extremist groups.

The DHS report — which omits any reference to dangerous and/or radical leftist groups (although apparently there is such a report issued earlier by DHS) — claims that military veterans can be turned into Timothy McVeys by extremist groups! It’s astonishing.

This Fox News report, a video from Cavuto’s show, offers an excellent orverview of the DHS report that is new evidence that should have EVERY freedom-loving American deeply concerned about Obama’s shredding of the Bill of Rights:

IT IS NOTABLE that many DEMOCRATS and independents are participating in the Wednesday protests! This is not an extreme-right movement! Get a clue, Janet Napolitano.

Oh yes, Fox is covering the protests, but that doesn’t mean (duh) that Fox created the protests. Everyone I know got involved through grassroots efforts. In fact, Dick Armey — who the left accuses of being behind the movement — says he got invited by Atlanta organizers, none of whom he knows (video below).

Here’s another great report from Fox’s Special Report With Bret Baier:

Baier’s show, as we noted earlier today, is cleaning up in its 6 p.m. ET slot — and proving that a substantive, heavy-on-the-news show can WIN a time period! — so much so that a desperate MSNBC canned David Shuster’s show and brought in the ignoramus Ed Schultz, so weak in his basic knowledge of politics that the only substantive girth he has is all in his stomach.

The person who posted the second video at YouTube is VERY passionate about the Tea Party movement:

[...]

Wednesday, of course, is April 15th, Tax Day here in the U.S., and you’ve probably heard there are allot of people who are mad as, well know you, and they’re not going to take it any more. There are more than 750 so-called tea parties scheduled all over the U.S.”

“Armed with markers and poster boards, these Georgia tax payers are fed up. So they’re planning a tea party, like that one in Boston 236 years ago. But this time they’re protesting pork projects, government bail-outs, and record breaking deficits.”

“This 18th century style grass-roots tax revolt has swelled into a modern day movement …. At least one Georgia Congressman is listening. ‘They’re mad at Congress. They’re mad at politicians. They feel frustrated at their voice maybe is not getting heard.’”

“Protesters are hoping, this time, there will be strength in numbers and Washington will have no choice but to pay attention. If not, they say some politicians may be the ones thrown overboard next year.”

Here’s a Fox Business channel report from Monday:

Here’s Dick Armey describing how he became involved in the Atlanta event, and how the LEFT is incapable of comprehending that a wide variety of people could get together to speak out without being pre-programmed!
