Hey Barack, Press Coverage Ain’t Respect
By SusanUnPC on April 18, 2009 at 3:00 PM in Current Affairs, France, G20, Hugo Chavez, Nicolas Sarkozy, North Korea, Venezuela
Aretha sang about it, but Barack can’t find it. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. On every continent, the flashbulbs pop and the ink runs, but President Barack Obama is getting schooled by the world’s leaders and tyrants alike–from Sarkozy to Lulu to Chavez to Kim Jong Il–who clearly neither respect nor fear him or our country. He’s a smooth talker with a nifty teleprompter but they know that he doesn’t carry a “big stick.” Barack is so eager to be liked that he doesn’t understand that it is always better to be feared than to be a buddy. He’s all hat, no cattle.
France’s Nicolas Sarkozy, whose unhappiness was recorded by American Girl in Italy on April 6th, objected to Obama’s rude commentary on how Europe should treat its Muslims. On Friday, newspapers reported that Sarkozy finds Obama “inexperienced,” and also said this:
Mr Sarkozy voiced concerns that Obama was “not up to standard” in terms of his decision-making or his efficiency. Mr Sarkozy did praise Obama as being “very intelligent and very charismatic” but said there were certain areas in which Obama “did not have a position.”
Now we have Hugo Chavez brazenly strutting up to Obama and handing him a book — clearly a symbolic gesture indicating that Hugo doesn’t think that Barack is very informed.
The title of the book that Hugo gave Barack is Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent.
Some smartie on MSNBC suggested that Barack give him one of his own books. Uh. How does a book about Obama’s ME ME ME begin to compare to a scholarly treatise on five centuries of European domination of Latin America?
Here’s the raw press pool report via Time’s Mark Halperin (who knew that pool reports were really this raw):
“I have a lot to learn and I’m very much looking forward to listening,” POTUS says. * [SEE FOOTNOTE.]
He is seated at the head of a U-shaped table, with the leader of Chile to his right. Chavez was all the way to his left, at the far end of the U. Your pooler asked if he had gotten any reaction from the other leaders to his speech. “We’ll find out right now.”
There was a terrible din outside from pushy camera crews trying to get in. POTUS acknowledged the ruckus –u will get a transcript. When the pool entered the room Chavez was busy talking to other leaders. Then Obama spoke, and as the pool was being ushered out Chavez walked over to him. Obama stood up and Chavez handed him the book The book is :
Las Venas Abiertas de America Latina
By eduardo Galeano(The Open Veins of Latin America). A helpful Chilean delegate who did not want to be named described it as an academic book that is the basis for the 60s-era “dependency theory” that latin america depends on the north.
The North Koreans are so not worried about Obama that they’ve merrily done away with every bit of progress that the Bush administration accomplished (admittedly not nearly enough), and are gleefully shooting rockets into the air with the knowledge they have NOTHING to fear for doing so. Kim is beside himself with gaiety:

*FOOTNOTE:
RE: “‘I have a lot to learn and I’m very much looking forward to listening’, POTUS says.”
Dear President Obama:
You know, it is not necessary to point out your ignorance. We who’ve had the sad task of closely following your every move area intimately familiar with your lack of knowledge and qualifications. Unfortunately, all the world’s leaders are similarly informed.
Furthermore, it’s flat-out embarrassing to us U.S. citizens who take pride in leaders who know what they’re doing and have also read and studied global foreign policy for years. Like Hillary Clinton, for example.
Modesty has its virtues. But we remain the world’s only superpower, and in that there is in superpower status an intrinsic, essential power that we must protect for the good that it can do, for the destruction it can prevent, and for the threats that it can authoritatively issue or carry out.
Keep your ignorance to yourself, please. It’s bad enough that they all know you’re clueless. You needn’t draw attention to your deficits.
We must also remain somewhat fearsome because then, and only then, will despots listen to us. You are “greenlighting” the world’s dictators that they can continue their despotic, cruel ways with impunity!
Here’s an example. Can you please SKIP the warm gesture of a hand on Chavez’s arm and that silly grin?

And here’s Jake Tapper, one of the few reporters who doesn’t feel compelled to suck it up all the time, who describes how you reacted when Chavez walked over and handed you the book:
At President Obama’s meeting with the heads of South American countries this morning, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez stood, walked over to him, and presented him with a copy of "Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent" by Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano.
Obama politely posed for a photograph with Chavez, shook his hand, and accepted the gift.
WHY???
Fellow NoQuarter Regulars: HOW WOULD YOU HAVE REACTED if Chavez had handed you a book? That book?
For starters, I doubt you’d have shaken his hand and posed for a photograph. Had I been Obama, I might have stood up, to show the advantage of my height, taken the book but not extended my hand. I wouldn’t have smiled either since it was obviously another typical Chavez stunt — which anyone with a clue would instantly recognize. One would avoid being duped into willing participation.
Jake Tapper also reports:
The copy of the book Chavez gave Obama appears to be in Spanish, a language Obama does not speak.
At the start of the first plenary session at the Summit of the Americas later this morning, President Obama was asked what he thought of Chavez’s gift.
“You know, I thought it was one of Chavez’s books," Obama answered. "I was going to give him one of mine.”
Hello? If the book is in Spanish, it’s clearly intended as an insult.
CALLING LARRY JOHNSON (who knows so much about how to behave in diplomatic settings that he teaches the subject): Larry, can you instruct this doofus in how to behave with dignity and how to avoid such trickery?
LARRY: Can you also show him how to make himself look a bit more like a powerful leader, rather than a subservient, please-be-my-friend, babe-in-the-woods chump?
The post-superpower meme might be fashionable in the salons of Fareed Zakaria and Charlie Rose but it’s downright embarrassing to most American citizens that our president behaves like a subservient, unskilled, gawkish capitulator.

What is so bad about all of this is that it reflects badly on America.
What the world thinks of America’s President is usually how they think of America. This is quite an unusual event in American history to see an American President thought of in this way by so many many countries before his 100 days are up.
Yes; and Americans voted for this man. So, perception in this case is reality.
i still think it was rigged..
It was one of the smellest primaries and elections I ever saw.
Ughhhh…reading this stuff makes me feel angry, sad, powerless, disgusted, you name it. I can’t stand that this is the person representing America across the globe. I am fuming that he repeatedly apologizes for America, calling us names, insulting us, weakening us in front of our enemies and putting us in grave danger. And it’s all because he’s an insecure, arrogant, pompous little baby who wants to be the most popular guy on the playground. What a loser. Foreign policy? To HELL with that? He has better things to do, as in get ready for his role as Ruler of the World. Please tell me I’m not the only one who prays I will wake up and this was just one really bad, sick joke and nightmare. Although I miss my father very much, I thank God daily that he isn’t here to see this. He would call the Fraud a “degenerate” and cry for the country he shed blood for in WWII.
Obama never met a dictator he didn`t like, or a dick too, from what I hear.
OOOOOH. I guess he is tea bagging. LOL!
Maybe Tapper feels the same way, since he apparently found Obama’s height to be “impressive.” WTF? that statement explains a lot of why obama beat hillary and mccain; he was tall and virile (ugh, choke) and looked “presidential” compared to the other two.
being tall is not a qualification for anything other than being a basketball player. america is a nation of fools and it is really time that both men and women stop thinking with their dicks.
Well if tall was a qualification, Kerry certainly would have beaten Bush — he looked a lot more imposing and presidential on the debate stage. That said, looking back, I now see that Kerry is an elitist — and another one who was too good to speak up for himself.
the bigger they are the harder they fall!
Kerry? Come on you guys. Gore and Kerry were weak. I don’t think it was as much all the cheating everyone claims happened as the fact that a lot of us just don’t find either of those two “Presidential.” Just like the Fraud. No matter what, I would never have felt safe with Gore around for 9/11. Never. What would he have done? Send the terrorists some solar panels?
PS…Before anyone says that Bush wasn’t “Presidential” either…Whether I agree or not, he still had his father and the cronies around for advice. That’s the reason I was glad that Bush, whose father was the ex head of the CIA, was in the WH on 9/11.
Not to remain fighting about the past but one of your points that I wanted to address.
Had Dubya actually heeded some of his dad’s advice his presidency may have been somewhat more successful.
I honestly believe that Cheney and Rumsfeld over ruled ANY advice or suggestions Bush Sr may have given his son.
This is not good for our country. It reflects badly when so many countries feel this way about America’s new President. Is Obama’s 100 first 100 days up yet?
He got what he wanted and campaigned to the people, an empty symbol.
Like a ring one puts on, it may sparkle and be new, but it’s just a piece of jewelry. It doesn’t make money, it’s not food and it can’t do anything but lay around and serve as decoration. useless.
a zircon not a diamond. Phoney as a three dollar bill.
He was taught to dislike America and her people his whole life. That is one of the reasons I will never forgive the new democratic party for selecting him.
WOMEN WITH INTELLIGENCE AND EXPERIENCE,MEN WHO SUPPORT THEM AND COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS
PUMAS,BUBBAS,EQUALISTS AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE
Can we impeach him now?
oh.we wish.yesterday sounds good..
I agree. He got what he wanted and amazingly without much effort all through his life — it can only happen in America. He has not worked a full day of work let alone a week for all his adult life in his 47 years and did not accomplish anything much of substance and his only claim to fame is one non-existent speech and one other convention speech and now he is the President of the wealthiest and most powerful country. He lives in privilege for the next 4 years and perhaps 8 years and he is set for life. Only in America!
It’s obvious he never studied at college or he would have studied up on diplomatic protocol when he was elected - study habits are hard to break. The reason he was unaware of the significance of gifts given him is obvious from the gifts he gave Gordon Brown.
He clearly doesn’t have a clue.
He doesn’t need one because his supporters are right there, and just as clueless, with him.
I try to hold back my anger, disappointment and disbelief. Somebody has to remaind 0bama, he is the American president, he represent US. He act like Chavez servant. I don’t agree with Michelle, she is not my cup of TEA.But, I have to agree with her, when she told in an interview, that 0, can’t be president, her words: HE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING”. Once in her life she was right. Regarding, Chaves book, he was thinking, that Ayers, will translate the book for 0. My belief, 0bama wants to destroy everything America and the American People stands for. My question, what we can do?
we should start looking around for someone we all know and trust and has no particular party affiliation to run as a third party candidate. maybe an independent. if we start throwing around names now, we will have 3 years in which to make it a reality. i think most americans are ready for this. any suggestions? too bad hillary cant do it..or can she?
Newt is talking 3rd party, is he hinting??? I’d actually vote for Newt, even though I don’t agree 100% with him.
My worry is not so much that he appears to be a fool, that’s only the truth leaking out.
What happens when a sociopathic narcissist finally understands that people are laughing at him? He gets mad at them and starts to behave irrationally, that’s what.
What happens when that irrational sociopath narcissist has a million man standing army and launch codes at his disposal?
CDP–I also worry that he will respond to the criticism by *over-reacting* to cover for his inadequacies. He continues to think he can ride over any obstacles or disfavor via his popularity.
As we’ve seen world leaders don’t respect this popular man and are fast taking advantage of the situation. Gracious, he’s lost face with world leaders before the end of the 100 days.
You don’t get a second chance to make a good impression.
Now that is scary.
The problem is Della Penna, NO ONE is laughing at him at all - quite the contrary. its only larry’s folks with their Obama hating mentality who feel shame. The rest of us are just fine with what obama is doing. you should get out more.
Wooooooowwwwwiiieeeeeee….Man oh man. Look how many trolls are out today. I’ve never seen as many as this week. Stephanie, “just fine” with what he’s doing? Based on what? I assume your one of the ignorant ones with the irrational hatred of Bush, right? So, tell me, which policies of Bush’s did he change? Hmmmm….And what exactly has he done for you to be “just fine” with? Thought so.
Did you here that he sat for over an over as ech leader got up to speak and criticize America and basically blame us for the ills of the world? He just sat there. Bush got up and walked out when they started berrating our country.
WTF!!!!!!!!!
He represents us and sat there and took that crap. Enough already. This man is dangerous to our country. Hurry 2010 and 2012.
I think he did more than sit there. He held back his applause, and the press certainly hid his endless nodding and shamelipped face pursing.
I actually can picture him sitting there agreeing, the Wright sermons echoing in his head as he holds back tears for his world people’s citizenship heartstrings.
Then internally he swears again he will right the decades of wrongs, that is his mission, maybe he can transfer several hundred billion more to nations injured in reparations, well worth the future tax burden to those who enjoyed (All Americans) the unfair and opressive decades of terroristic advantages.
Yes, the agreement in his soul must have been burning him alive, as he couldn’t outwardly jump to his feet and applaud.
Obama caved and got the o-family-pet, and the demands made on 0 by the hate filled America bashers that cooperate with those who also would love us taken down and humiliated and utterly expunged into submission - will also have the 0 caving in submission, and pretending he wanted to, as the lies for cover issue forth.
It has occurred to me, if there is a substantial reduction in his public support, it could be a problem for the US. I remember the last debate of the primary when asked tough questions, he became petulant and angry. I’m not suggesting he would push THE button, but he might be willing to wag the dog in an effort to regain the dependency and adulation. He might reduce the circle of influence to those who will keep telling him how wonderful he is, but are not capable of making an informed decision. His supporters would not agree, but I believe he has some real issues from his past. He more or less invented himself to be what he needed to be to fulfill his ambitions and there is that history of his proven lying.
My worry is not so much that he appears to be a fool, that’s only the truth leaking out.
What happens when a sociopathic narcissist finally understands that people are laughing at him? He gets mad at them and starts to behave irrationally, that’s what.
What happens when that irrational sociopath narcissist has a million man standing army and launch codes at his disposal…
Sorry about the double post, I tried to change the punctuation midstream.
Worth saying twice! I think along the same ostensibly paranoid lines, and then I think–”nawww–this can’t really be happening . . . ” But I can’t seem to wake up from this bad dream . . .
Wouldn’t you love to know what the Joint Chiefs really think of him? Oy.
They, and the others in the Sit Room, are our main defense against him doing something crazy. Let’s just hope that he doesn’t let Joe in there. Oh those poor people, having to listen to him.
Imbiben in the Situation Room? Cocktail in hand? Good lord we are doomed.
Aside from being unfit and unqualified, he is a dangerous man to have in any position of authority. The bots just love him, though, because he tells them how to think, feel, and act, which relieves them of any duty to actually understand the complex issues facing us. It is the 21st century version of goose-stepping. We have a narcissist being followed around by a group of shiftless slackers. While this is not a very welcome or comforting thought, the silver-lining to this cloud may be that the obamabots will not show up when he calls them to duty. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?
I saw a news story on the “football”, ie the suitcase that carries the launch codes and the necessary equipment to transmit them. It was some years ago, the story was being run because the officer in charge of the “football” was a woman for the first time. The protocol to launch is very complicated, and the President cannot launch on his own. He has to have the lower tiers of the command in sync first before the launch codes will work. In other words, the entire military command structure in the nuclear arsenal has to put in their codes first. Otherwise, nothing happens. One thing I remember from the program was the officer being asked if she would give the President the “football” without the proper protocols being followed, and she said, “No, I am not compelled to follow an illegal order. And I will not do so.”
So, I don’t worry about his finger on the button..if he pushes it on his own, it won’t work.
Both Michelle and Barack need to go back to school.
A finishing school especially. They do not know the manners or the dicorum needed and expected for the office of President. That is why there is no respect for them.
When Hillary first came in as first lady I think she was smart enough to get some fashion help. Michelle seems to be all over the place fashion wise, hitting the mark about half the time. This is only the tip of the iceberg of what Michelle and Barrack are doing to get the whole world laughing at them.
I don’t care what they wear. Manners, decorum, judgment, picking up on cues, understanding the importance of your position and the fact that you represent an entire country, not yourself - these things cannot be taught. Remember, they both sat in Rev. Wright’s church for 20 years. Pretty much says it all.
A friend said that they act like some kids taken out of the east side with only movies and books to learn by. I think my friend had part of it. But most Americans seem to know not to do the things these guys are doing or act the way they have been acting. Could that be due to all the time Obama was not in the states.?
He was only gone for 4 years, ages 6-10, AFAIK.
I guess that makes Obama a Wright-wing extremist, doesn’t it.
Both are supposed to have gone to “GOOD” schools. Either who ever paid the tuition got took or they just floated through wasting time.
The damage these two do to this country will live on for generations. How do you tell a kid to study and be the best they can be when you elect a racist-anti-American know nothing as president.
How can you tell a kid to study to be the best he can be when their future is mortgaged and their children’s future in mortgaged?

Not exactly O/T but can No Quarter post the photo of Hillary speaking to Chavez. It’s great …I don’t know what she’s saying to him but clearly she means business.
Hillary has a dead serious expression on her face, her hand placed on his forearm ….Chavez looks a bit nervous …his people don’t look pleased and even the translator seems uncomfortable.
You know what’s really going on? Hillary is acting POTUS and Obiewannabe is the understudy!
Sheesh!
I will never be friends with people who gave us Obie. Never, if I know. If I find out one of my friends voted for the boob, they are gone. gone, I tell you. It just shows what a stupid, fool they were and I do not have time for stupid fools. I know enough people who could see right through the fraud, like I could, and they are compatible with me. Why waste time on those who are not compatible? If they are this stupid, there is no hope for them.
I’m with you political…I don’t speak to anyone who voted for the Fraud. Thank God my best friends and family had brains enough not to do so.

here you go
Catherine, that’s a far different pose and expression, isn’t it? I found a French outlet with the picture. Link here:
http://www.french.xinhuanet.com/french/2009-04/19/content_861349.htm
No happy faces in this exchange. Chavez appears to be rubbing his knuckles [maybe she let him have it with a ruler] and yes, look at the worried faces of the onlookers.
What a difference. You go girl!
You know what’s really sad? The photograph of HRC and Chavez on Boston.com is uncaptioned; the picture in the French newspaper is captioned, “Chavez and Clinton discuss the eventual normalization of diplomatic relations.”
It would have been nice to see Obama hand clown face a copy of the constitution.
I’m not so sure that Obama believes in the constitution himself.
Can we hand Obama a copy of the constitution and the bill of rights? I’m not sure he knows of their existence.
Oh, he knows about it and doesn’t believe in it; that’s why he’s determined to change it. I love the new bumper sticker my sister-in-law sent:
1.20.13 Change We Can Believe In.
I’d say we should bump that up to 11.2.10.
I love that bumper sticker Annie. Where did she get it? I want one!!!
The Fraud sure as hell DOES know all about the “flawed Constitution” and the old Declaration of Independence (he says we need a “new one”). He has them right next to the commode in the Lincoln Bathroom, just in case he has to blow his nose or wipe his azz.
http://bumperstickers.cafepress.com/anti-obama_stickers
$4.49 what a deal!
You totally rock Texas Gal! By the way, my mother lives in Plano, where are you?
Keller…getting beaned in the head with hail yet again. Only pea sized this time (good thing too cause my father’s car is sitting in the driveway).
Love the name, Paula, and good luck with all that you plan to do!
The one with “NOPE” is perfect in its simplicity.
OMG did you see all of them Ben? I was just thinking…if I buy like 20 of them, where the hell do I put them on my car? LMAO.
I went through about 20 pages, got quite a few belly laughs, and am thinking about purchasing a few. Some of them were quite funny. I may even put some on my picket fence, just for good measure.
Good one, put a few on the fence. I took down my McCain/Palin magnetic bumper stickers because I thought living in LA my car would get destroyed. Now I don’t give a damn. I’ll paper my entire car with Anti-Zero stickers and hope for the best.
the one that said “is it 1/20/2013 yet” that was good. Will we make it that long?
NO WAY IN HELL WE MAKE IT THAT LONG.
LOL buy the “Impeach Obama” one.
As Gallup found before the election, the citizens of 73 countries preferred Obama to McCain by 4 - 1.
In the Americas, a recent CIMA poll showed Obama’s approval at 70%, 11 points higher than the next leader.
By recent CNN poll, even the majority of Republicans believe world leaders respect Obama.
All of which could lead one to wonder if you folks ever bother to actually, you know, read anything?
Bernie…Number one you are way off on the polls, where the hell do you get this information? Second, we here at NQ don’t change our minds about a fraudulent America hating incompetent in the White House just because trolls post bogus poll number. Yawn.
Notice how this guy does not give links. What a joke. Stupid Obamabot.
It’s simply BREATHTAKING how many of the dumbazz trolls have shown up since the Tea Parties. And they’re not the brightest bulb in the bunch. Now we have a desperate dimwit posting a poll from October of 2008. Uhhh….WTF?
And I hear 69,000,000 people voted for Mr. O. Do you know how far that many people would stretch if you laid them out head to toe? It boggles the mind.
And after YOU read something, do you, you know actually understand it.
CNN polls I dont think hold much water with anyone who has 1/2 a brain and is being honest to themselves. Look at what they had to say about Obama’s bow. If you want to site some polls, cite from people or sources that have not been so Overly bias.
LOL….It’s Hillary who’s approval rating is at 70%! 0bama’s keeps dropping.
Yeah, the majority of the world wants 0bama because they understand that he weakens the USA in ways they could only dream of.
The same French people who praise him in comments in media outlets such as Le Figaro were mad as hell when 0bama suggested that Turkey be allowed in the EU. You should have read their comments then!
Wow, the only thing comparable to an 0bot is Baghdad Bob.
We DO read - the problem for you, is that we listen to more than what the MSM feeds us (which is also what the people in other countries must depend on, although other countries’ media is now starting to report on the whole truth)
Well, little Bernie, if these same people preferred fecal matter to food, you’d eat it, wouldn’t you?
Polls are not facts, moron, they are data that have been massaged beyond recognition.
bernie, have you check obama’s approval ratings lately? low 50s and slipping everyday. respect from world leaders? hell, pretty is as pretty does! i’d say they laught at him.
Do you really want the links? They’re easy to find but I can do the simple work for you. Sure you want them?
Troll…Why in hell would I give two shits about a poll about McCain and the Fraud from BEFORE the election? WTF is wrong with you Bots?
And if you really want to bring it, we can play “If you show me yours, I’ll show you mine.” Because I can post the most recent Zogby poll that had the Stoner in Chief’s approval at 49%, lower than ANY Preident in history at this time. And I can show you the latest Rasmussen poll, which is tracking him daily and he goes down a point a day, which shows that he only has a differential between those who strongly approve, and those who strongly disapprove, of +3. Face it Bot, the Stoner in Chief isn’t doing so well.
Regardless, do you really think there’s any poll you Bots can post that is going to make us here at NQ suddenly say…”Hey, Larry, Susan, a paid Bot showed up here at NQ and posted a poll that says we’re supposed to like the Fraud. Better step up to the plate and start licking his toes like the Bots.”
ROFLMAO
LOL! Love that retort!
That should scare them. Zogby was the one who always overestimated Obama’s support during the primaries. If he is saying 49%, you can bet it’s lower.
Unless he’s one of the growing number of ex-bots, and has stopped cheating to promote his chosen one.
There should be a poll pitting Obama against Susan Boyle of Britain’s Got Talent. Then the O would know that there is someone else that the world admires and loves more!
He would lose big time.. she already has 850,000 fans on Facebook, and her video on YouTube has smashed records, and world wide viewing is in the stratosphere.
To sum it up.
Susan Boyle, YouTube 30 million plus
Obummer’s inauguration speech 18.5 million
She whomped him already. Hehehe.
You want links…..OK.

Bernie-the-Bot…you’re kidding, right?
If you can contribute something to the conversation, great. But I don’t think you’re going to get too far with polls from the Miami Herald. Wow…where do they hire you guys? From the parking lot at Home Depot????
Here are the current Polls from Real Clear — Ones you can trust and were right on during the election even though not what I had wanted to see.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html
RCP Average 03/31 - 04/17 — approve/60.7 Disapprove/30.7
Obama’s approval rating has been going steadily downward, yes a lot slower then most of us expect but down down down it is going.
keep in mind that in general the MSM is still whoring for him. even the criticisms are very limited, and usually contain some praise to balance out the criticism. also remember that 70% of americans supported the iraq war and 70% of foreign countries probably don’t have america’s best interests at heart. ’nuff said.
His Highness Hopey-Changeys approval rating is going down the drain.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll.
That is why I like Real Clear. Real Clear averages all the polls together.
Rasmussen is usually the poll closest to the overall average.
Take a look at the graph in the article and you will see how Obama is going down since his swearing in. Obama goes down 3, up 2, down 3 up 1, down 2 up 1. Obama never really gains that much ground when he does something he should be doing.
What is interesting is only 36% of the nation strongly approve of Obama and what he is doing. IF I remember right that rating was in the high 60s or so when Obama was sworn in. It looks like many are questioning him before his 100 days are up.
Let’s see break this down, shall we?
“The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted March 12-15, with 1,019 adult Americans questioned by telephone.” LOL so the majority of 1,019 Americans polled by CNN “believe” that world leaders respect Bambi.
I won’t even get into how this poll was conducted, how CNN got the phone numbers or how many callers hung up on them. But considering that CNN’s ratings are dropping faster than Michael Jackson’s record sales of the last 2 decades it’s safe too assume that this is a minority view since most Americans are no longer watching CNN as they once did.
The 2nd poll is from October 2008. The same people who responded favorably to 0bama then also believed he would do away with many of the Bush era abuses. See where faulty beliefs lead to?
Now the third poll by the Miami Herald. Why should’nt 0bama be the most popular leader in the Americas? He’s the shiny new toy … like a novelty. Give him time …Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro were once the most popular leaders there …Chavez is now at 28% …that’s even worse than Dubya when he left office.
Now let’s see what Andres Oppenheimer at the Miami Herald had to say about the shiny new toy:
“My opinion: Obama’s popularity will not automatically translate into a new dawn. The same CIMA poll that rated him hugely popular shows that only 43 percent of Latin Americans have a positive image of the United States compared with 47 percent of China and 57 percent of the European Union. And Obama’s momentum may not last forever.”
Ha! Good job! I like you on my side LOL
Well done, Catherine.
Like polls from CNN, are actual facts.. for God’s sake, get real. There is no poll from CNN, ( don’t care if they cut and paste it to their site from somewhere else)that are relevant. Honestly are we suppose to now somehow find substance in the “news” station, of Tea Bag humor. Give it a rest.
You’ll notice that the polls I posted are relevant to the title and substance of this particular thread. Relevant in that they demonstrate the claim to be factually false.
I doubt very much I’ll change you folks, minds. I just thought I’d point out that such a clear disregards for the facts of things is part of why you guys have become as politically powerless as you now are.
“Politically powerless?” Oh that’s just rich. The only “powerless” person is you. Powerless to see past your own ignorance and America hate what the truth about the Fraud is. We the People pay that jackass’s salary and We the People don’t like the job he’s doing. As evidenced by the CURRENT polls I mentioned. Move on Bot.
There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.
And we could talk about polls which showed that Hillary Clinton was more popular than Obama, even after she dropped out of the race. Not much point, though, is there? But don’t ever think that she is politically powerless. Her power grows every day. Each drop in Bambi’s polls equal an increase in power for Hillary. Luckily for you, she has always put her country first.
Polling well amongst the ignorant is meaningless. The ones who count, the leaders of foreign countries, are almost unanimously showing their lack of respect for Bambi.
The people who are politically powerless are those who believed his lies during the election, only to find out they were manipulated (women, anti-war, pro-choice, and on, and on)
I’m certain he has gone back on issues you believed in. The kool-aide just gives you a higher tipping point.
You’ll be back.
Polls do no such thing. They are the ultimate in the ad populum argument, which is fallacious on its face. Go away; take a course or two in logic; then take a couple in political science; then stay away.
Has anyone else noticed that once we smack the moron trolls down with facts, videos, articles, etc. that they disappear and yet ANOTHER troll shows up? Man are they organized. Should we thank ACORN?
“Ten days after telling Europeans that the United States had been divisive and derisive toward its allies there, President Obama publicly tells leaders of the Americas that his country has been too disengaged and even dictatorial toward its more local neighbors.
He was warmly applauded. Critics of Obama’s European jaunt felt such criticism of his own country was inappropriate abroad. Supporters find his different approach change to believe in.
~snip~
… here’s the particular passage likely to generate some renewed comment and controversy back home:
I know that promises of partnership have gone unfulfilled in the past, and that trust has to be earned over time.
While the United States has done much to promote peace and prosperity in the hemisphere, we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms. But I pledge to you that we seek an equal partnership…. (Applause.)”

Hey, the Fraud is making friends all over the world pissing on America. Problem is, behind his back they’re all laughing their azzes off at how stupid this country was to “select” the piece of crap.
Why is this guy president if he does not respect America? Could any of you imagine any other head of state saying the kinds of things that Obama is saying about their own country. Would Queen Elizabeth speak this badly of England, Castro of Cuba, Juan Carlos I of Spain, Giorgio Napolitano of Italy or for that matter any head of any country?
Is Obama campaigning for Ruler of the World or what?the H3LL is he doing?
Even as a tourist, when I didn’t agree with the current government, I never spoke ill of my country or its leaders. Most people are the same but we Americans are especially of our grand experiment even if the present one blew up in our face. He’s temporary. We will fix this and do better in the next election. And through it all, I am a proud American…USA style.
Obama’s job is no different that being a company rep at a convention. If you as a rep spoke ill of your company at a convention, you would more than likely not be going back to a job.
I wish I had your optimism but this is three elections in a row of electing an incompetent arrogant bully, regardless of party.
America has to wake up and stop electing American Idol and basing their votes on who they think is cool or who they’d like to have a beer with.
I think he’s just a really freaky, narcissistic, dangerous asshole who 1) Hates America and Americans. At this point, no point in denying THAT. 2) He didn’t want the job of healing America and making it better. He wanted the really groovy perks like going around the world talking shit about us, having $500,000 pizza parties at the White House, getting photo ops with violent dictators/American enemies who he secretly worships, etc. You get the point. He has NO BUSINESS in the White House. NONE. And he needs to get the hell out.
Someone should tell Obummer that those guys can’t vote for him. And if they could, they probably wouldn’t. Perhaps that would shut him up.
Dear Mr. President:
Please stop apologizing for the United States of America. You were elected to serve this country, not pretend you’re American Idol of the World.
And btw, Bernie. Popularity polls are fickle at best [ask Jimmy Carter]. Why wouldn’t the world’s leaders be crazed with the idea that the US is willing to sing mea culpa all day long, while they skate fancy free of responsibility? As Susan points out in her article, Kim Jong is tickled that Obama is so well liked. He could not have hoped for anything better than defy the West, while the Prom King toured Europe. What a gift! And Chavez? Openly insults the POTUS with a snarky gift and that’s suppose to make us happy.
So yes. We read and we watch and we wait for the inevitable slide in that “popularity” you find so very important.
As I said, popularity is fickle at best. Competence is a whole other issue.
Chavez merely repeated the same “thoughtfulness” as 0 gave other world leaders…dvd’s that can’t be viewed; ipods that aren’t needed and repetitious of what she already has…with the exception that his one has all his speeches on it (you may worship me now Liz). So what does he get back? A book he can’t read, insulting the leadership of the USA. What a stupid man.
“this one”
LOL I wonder if Chavez was remembering Obama’s cutting down Americans in the primary for not speaking other languages.
(although I myself love languages)
That’s funny.
Yup, you’re right, Annie. 0bama is getting a taste of his own medicine. Only we “American citizens” get to take it with him.
What a God awful mess! How many days has it been??? Feels like years already.
OMG Peggy Sue…”The Prom King?” LMAO.
Why doesn’t Bernie-the-Bot ask Canada and the UK what they think of the Fraud? How ABOUT that sickening bow to the Saudi King? Wow, do we look like the world’s biggest frigging losers these days. All because people like Bernie were too ignorant to READ before they voted.
I’ve been travelling around. Most foreigners think as Sarkozy does : Obama is an inexperienced kid on the block. He really doesn’t understand global geo-politics. All of them think that he can be influenced and manipulated. His european travel nailed it for most world leaders. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but hes gonna embarass us a 100 times more than bush. What a damn nightmare!
he makes BUSH look good..whodathunkit….
No Obama makes Bush look like a genuis.
Bernie the Bot:
It wasn’t a bow, it was a…a…a back spasm!
LOL!
hello everyone
Interesting question, given that I am Canadian (though living in Oregon).
Obama’s popularity is high in both Canada and in England as is true broadly across the world. If anyone can find a poll which contradicts that assertion, I’d be happy to see it.
Earlier, someone suggested that polls are an instance of the ad populum fallacy. But that’s inaccurate. This fallacy occurs where a proposition is suggested to be true because it is popularly held to be true. Polls measure popularity only and we all acknowledge that is what they measure.
Of course, one wonders what the fellow (or lady) who suggested this fallacy was engaged here might consider electoral results represent.
Bernie…are you drinking? You make NO sense. Uhhh…The Fraud is neither popular in Canada, nor the UK. Have you TOTALLY lost your MIND? Let’s turn the tables on the Scumbots. You come here demanding that we justify our hate for Obama. Hey, ObotScum, why don’t you tell us what exactly makes you so PROUD to be supporting this dirtbag?
Why don’t you do a little homework before you make such comments. Obama is more popular in most countries than their own leaders.
Obama would win in Canada: Poll

How Canadians are dealing with an American president they actually like.
http://www.slate.com/id/2211490/
Barack Obama is overwhelmingly Britain’s choice to be the next US president, five times more popular than his Republican rival, John McCain, a Guardian/ICM poll shows today.

Obama-Mania Sweeps Europe as New U.S. President Tops List of Most Popular World Leaders
These are results of the survey conducted online among a total of 6,299 adults (aged 16-64) in France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain and the United States and adults (aged 18-64) in Italy between January 8 and 19, 2009.
Most Popular Leaders
On average, across all six countries, 80% of adults have a good opinion of Barack Obama and 77% have a good opinion of the Dalai Lama. Obama is most popular in France (where 88% have a good opinion of him), Italy (87%), and Germany (84%). The Dalai Lama’s highest ratings are in France (86%), Italy (83%), Spain (83%), and Germany (83%). Both Obama’s and the Dalai Lama’s ratings are lower in Britain and the United States than in the four continental European countries.
Only two other leaders receive an average score of over 50% across in the six countries: the German Prime Minister Angela Merkel and the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (both are 53%). They are closely followed by Pope Benedict XVI (49%) and French President Nicholas Sarkozy (44%). The only leaders with average “good opinion” ratings of more than a third are Jose Luis Zapatero, the Spanish Prime Minister (39%), the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown (36%), and U.S. Secretary-general Ban Ki-moon (35%).
It is striking that several European government leaders are less popular at home than they are in some other countries. For example, Blair enjoys the good opinion of only 32% of adults in Britain but of 69% in the United States, 61% in Italy and 59% in France. And Nicolas Sarkozy is popular with 63% of Italians and 62% of Spaniards but with only 39% of the French.

Hey troll, in case you weren’t clued in before, what people think is not equivalent to being correct. Opinions are just that. Facts are an entirely different matter. You really ought to learn the difference between the two prior to making any further comments on this website, debbie.
Ferd I like your new nic.
For some reason I want to go fly a kite
LMAO. Just ensure that it is done on day when the prognosticators have called for pleasant weather.
Gloomy days ahead…….. thunderstorms and keys tied on the kite string.
Good lord, another moronic Bot post. I can’t even answer this ignorance anymore.
Hey Bernie..
I don’t know who you are talking about in Canada. Maybe it’s the junkies on Hastings street or maybe the Muslim dregs that can’t even get in this country, but the people I deal with who are the makers and shakers in that country..You know who I’m talking about those evil business owners who employ people they hate Obama and the capitulation of American power in the world as it affects them personally in the raw materials they buy and the threat Obama poses to their businesses with carbon taxes an the such.
Nice thing about Canada when I’m up there..they speak their mind which could probably get you arrested down here.
I love my Canadian business friends. They always thank me for the heavy lifting America has done to protect vital resources to keep their business operating..
Where are you in Oregon..
Eugene perhaps…I got a buzz just rolling my window down in that town.. What a bunch of anti American scum balls that can’t even get a job washing dishes.
Bernie, I looked at the first link you provided above, CNN, I believe. The poll was taken with an American sample and the question was whether or not the respondents believed Obama is more respected by world leaders. “This fallacy occurs where a proposition is suggested to be true because it is popularly held to be true.” so it is exactly ad populum and not a popularity poll as you suggest. MSN is able to and has created a perception he is popular among foreign leaders, but the sample was not taken from the leaders themselves and this is the fallacy.
Now this is the poll that I go by:

LMAO Harp. That B**tich ManCow is in last place? HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAH….
Only Garofalo would be lower.
Yep, she’s annoying and stupid. But if you want to hold the moral high ground which is where the opposition’s strength lies, let’s not call her a mancow or a bi&ch.
How about madcow? She does seem to be off her nut.
hahahaha! Love that Nancy Grace pulls in more than Mad Cow.
So where is tingling in the leg Matthews of Hardball?
Always better to be feared? Nice neocon point of view of the world.
Sarkozy is a right-wing freak, particullary when it comes to immigration! Who cares what Sarkozy says!
Obama is given a book? Wow, pretty daming stuff. Actually, a pretty weak argument. And who cares about Chavez anyways!
Actually the fact that North Korea is launching a missle and getting rid of inspectors says more about Bush that Obama. Bush was just a couple of months ago bragging about taking North Korea off the terrorist list. Looks like that would have been a stupid call, when they were working on launching a missle. Not sure that Bush made any progress in North Korea at all. They actually progressed their nuclear and missle programs under Bush. With all Bush’s tough neocon talk on N. Korea he got no where?
The world will have to live with a nuclear Korea. Not much the U.S. can do. And we are only one player in 7 party talks with the other players likely having more influence than the U.S. Unless of course Susan you want to restart a war with N. Korea. I guess that would go with your neocon saying “it is better to be feared.”
Susan, it is hard to believe that you were ever a Democrat or wanted to vote for Hillary. You just spout right-wing and neocon talking points these days.
Julie, then don’t come here. Really, you also need to get off this bullshit - if you don’t like moron Obama, you’re a right winger. Guess you didn’t get the memo, Bot. Plenty of Dems can’t stand the Fraud either. Like the people here, who are for the most part still Dems, get it?
Must be really nice to have such simple logic. People who don’t like the Fraud are either “racists” or they’re “right wingers” or “neocons.” WTF is wrong with you? How about…those who don’t like the Fraud are American loving patriots who want their country back? Try repeating that as many times as you repeat your Bot tired old lingo.
Sorry you will have to respect our democracy. Your candidate lost!
Your country has gone no where and it is in fact starting to move in the right direction and the vast majority of the people in this country thing so.
Better luck in 2012.
And good luck with those tea parties.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but you abuse the privilege.
I hope your bigoted a$$ gets banned; enough with the French bashing already.
Jul lay the whiner is back. So bitter and so well… easy.
Stop the lovefest!
Julie…Really…Your mommy’s calling you to dinner. Try not to play with your food, or fling your peas at the ceiling.
Bump that up to 2010, honey.
I could’nt help but notice that the troll said “Your country” rather than “Our country”.
Freudian slip? Hmm
Hmmm Im always saying my country or our country Strange.
I caught that too. I actually think these trolls are all one person…that idiot UKforDims. Because another one posted that he/she was in the UK. Another slip up. I wonder how many usernames each of the Scumbots use?
‘Your’ candidate scored fewer popular votes and fewer pledged delegates based on votes cast for the candidate. He ‘won’ nothing. Rather, he and his friends - bankers, investers, telecommunications executives and the like, and D Party leaders - paid good money to buy the votes of the SD’s to reach the requisite delegate votes. When polled after the general election, voters overwhelmingly said they would have voted for HRC, over JMc.
In fact, if HRC had faced JMc, she would have won by 11% of the vote, versus BO’s 7% margin.
In other words, ‘our’ candidate ‘won’ the hearts and minds of the majority of the people but ‘your’ candidate stole the election.
http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/11/12/politics/horserace/entry4596620.shtml
Right on jbjd…and exactly why I will never vote for another Dem again. Never. I respect and like very much all of the Dems here, and my few friends who didn’t already leave the party. But that mess was unforgivable. For life. Imagine how different our lives would be with EITHER McCain or Hillary. Kind of a huge difference, huh?
Speaking one’s opinion, whether by posting on a blog, or going to a tea party, is what democracy is all about. What is NOT democracy is you coming here and saying we should shut up and take it.
We’re only engaging in grassroots activism. We’re “organizing” our “community”.
That One should be proud.
Esactly, lorac, we’re just taking tips from ACORN, right? If they can “get out the (phony) vote” then we can get out the outrage.
We’re not just a right winger we are right wing extremist, especially if we supported or attended any of the Tea Parties.
In addition to confused, you are functionally illiterate.
Don’t try again–just go outside and play.
Ferd TY I think you need a break take a look at the comment…. Every one has been laughing about what CNN and other such media have been calling us…yes us.. I did attend a tea party and it was fun.
I think I put my comment in the wrong place. Sorry about that, Confused.
“plenty of dems don’t like Obama”
No way of knowing what you mean by plenty, of course. But you aren’t going to win any careful argument or study of the polling data (as regards Dems or even Republicans not to mention those in the center) on his popularity. The Rasmussen poll you noted earlier is an outlier and you’d take it as representative only because you’d want to but no objective pollster would support you in this.
MG LMAO…You really are loaded. Did you smoke crack with the Fraud? You make ZERO sense and are making a JACKASS of yourself.
Sarkozy is a right-wing freak. Who cares about Chavez. The world will have to live with a nuclear Korea.
neo-con? lol. do you even know what a neo-con is? We are left of center.
But from your above statements, who cares about anybody or the world for that matter. whoever criticises the american-idol president is a freak. lol, talk about left-wing loonies.
hey beeny, you sorta missed the fact that many of the neocons are former democrats or so they said. they switch to whatever is convenient. do your homework before making a fool out of yourself.
An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.
Winston Churchill ….You remember him….he was in all the papers.
There are nice people in the world who appreciate an attitude of cooperation and fairness, who respond in kind. There are mean people in the world who will interpret that approach as weak, and as evidence that they can “beat you” or dominate you. If you don’t present a strong front to them, they will not respect you or listen to you - they will walk all over you.
Surely, you must have seen this difference in the people you have met in your life. World leaders are no different.
Julie:
There are no neocons here; it is just your inability to see past your delusional view of the world. Very few here supported Bush and most thought he was the worst president we ever had–until your cult leader became POTUS. I’m sure Bush is breathing a sigh of relief as That One makes mistake after mistake, making his presidency look almost mainstream.
You’re just too much of a groupie to see it. Now be off, troll.
making his presidency look almost mainstream = making Bush’s presidency.
Mea culpa.
Obama has made very few mistakes and the majority of the country thinks so. Obama is doing a very good job, particularly given what he was handed.
Sorry the majority of the people in this country just have a different view of the U.S., the world and this country’s priorities than you NQbots.
You can call him a fake, fraud or whatever else that makes you feel good about yourselves, but he is getting the job done and finally turning this country around.
And if you disagree then too bad, as this is a democracy, and you can try better to get your candidate elected next time.
Julie…”democracy?” What drugs are you on? Obama didn’t even win the primary, let’s start there. That wasn’t “democracy.” Maybe you should look that word up in your high school text book before you use it. And where on EARTH do you get that everyone is in love with the Fraud? Even you people can’t be serious about that one.
Check out my comment above, pointing out that HRC actually ‘won.’
Only 12-year olds like you think that way, half-pint.
And your polls are only data and not facts. And the only bots here are you slack-jawed Kool-Aide chuggers.
Unlike you, most of us here have no issues with self-esteem like you androids do.
This is a Representative Republic, drip.
Now that you’ve shown us all how patently adolescent you are, will you please find your middle-school friends and go to the Mall and bother a few store owners and shoppers?
You will just have to wait to 2012 to get your candidate elected.
Good luck! Obama will have another $1 bn in the bank and there is a pretty good chance the economy will be growing again.
You may have a chance to rant and rave in this echo chamber for eight years.
I have to tell you I look at this website from time to time, mostly because I appreciated Johnson’s insights on security matters and the kinds of stuff he use to write about, but I have really read very little real genuine meaningful critism of Obama. Most of it is so mickey mouse, personal insults and conspiracy stuff. Bowing to the Saudis, birth certificates, Hillary was cheated, tea parties, whitey tapes, Obama faked his grandmothers illness for politica gain, etc. etc. etc. Complete Mickey Mouse stuff!
Why not real discussions on policy differences?
A lot of haters on here.
Because child, the differences between your callow ambitious provocateur and the one he recently replaced represent a hair-splitting distinction lacking substantive difference. Do try to keep up, girl.
Hey Jul lay’s still layin it down for That One:
vea stupido! Problemente amas Bush tambien.
Stop the lovefest!
So you ultimately want Hamas and Sharia law in the USA? Does that rock your boat, Bunky? People who plan to overthrow the government (even/or especially from the inside) are called traitors, Sugar. And, yes you are right about his getting that job done.
Jul-lay doesn’t know what Hamas and Sharia Law are. She knows what puppydogs and unicorns are though.
The momentum Bush did gain came according to a February 2007 agreement in which North Korea would have gotten economic, energy and humanitarian assistance in return for a complete declaration of all its nuclear programs and disablement of all existing nuclear facilities.
But to get this he also had to make a desperate move to restart the Clinton policy of direct engagement with Pyongyang in 2007 after having abandoned it as a strategy five years earlier. And the DPRK STILL pulled their IAEA monitors, refused to engage in talks (had to be coaxed back by China) and tested missiles at various points under the previous administration.
So I do agree with the point that any progress in the denuclearization talks came as a result of American capitulation more than fear. There was no stick. With our country mired in the quagmire of Iraq, military action was essentially a non-option — not that it was ever a viable possibility.
In any case, yes, for the foreseeable future the world will have to live with a nuclear Korea. You’re dealing with a highly erratic regime that even the US envoys and ALL presidents have had a tough time figuring out the motivations behind most of their actions and negotiations.
hey julie, stop insluting people on here and go get some learning! you are pathetically ignorant even for a bot!
Welcome back, stodgie. Long time, no see.
Ferd
He has gone too far now. We need to have a march on Washington soon and demand his resignation and his birth certificats or have another tea party to demand it. If this fraud is allowed to go on any longer we will be in such deep trouble it may be too late.
so if he tries to run again in 2012 will we then demand to see his real B/C and college records? if the hue and cry for it is loud enough by then he will either have to show it or pull out.
There are legislators from states (4, last I heard) putting forward laws which would require candidates, from now on, to have to show their original birth certificate to the state, in order to get on the ballot.
Only a minority of states (I don’t know what percentage of electoral votes) would have to do this, in order to prevent someone from winning, if they don’t have a BC to show.
Every time I think that we are totally done, I remind myself that the GOP isn’t totally stupid. They’re probably laughing their azzes off at Obama and Pelosi, screwing the country, pissing off Millions of us. They’re back there getting ready for a coup. I know it. There’s no way they’re lying down and letting this country become the USSObama/Pelosi. Well, it already is, but I think they can undo it.
Even as a tourist, when I didn’t agree with the current government, I never spoke ill of my country or its leaders when in a foreign country. Most people are the same but we Americans are especially proud of our grand experiment even if the present one blew up in our face. He’s temporary. We will fix this and do better in the next election. And through it all, I am a proud American…USA style.
Annie;
If we wait until the next election it may be too late. We are in dictatorship now. WE THE PEOPLE need to act NOW!
I agree with you, Nancy, and thank for the great patriotic post Annie. I don’t believe in my heart he’s going to make it all four years. One of this nasty acts will catch up to him, or the BC, or something. America deserves to survive.
I see the next opportunity as mid-term in 2010. The campaigns will start this year. I don’t think impeachment can progress faster but I’m on board if that could happen. I agree that the country is in big, big trouble with this guy. But I am up for taking back the senate and house and stopping him that way until he can be voted out. But as I said, Impeachment? Good too. I’d go for removal from office due to fraud as well.
The next opportunity IS 2010. It won’t stop Obama and Pelosi from destroying the country, but it could slow it down until 2012 when we get rid of him.
If we win the house, Ferd, Nazi will no longer wield power as Speaker. That’s the way we’re getting screwed right and left. The opposition literally has no voice with her in the Speaker’s chair.
Dang, new contacts or not…I meant Fed Up…sorry.
That’s OK, I feel the same way I’mFedUp does.
Figured you did, Ferd!
Ferd’s my hero Bot Slayer. And I really hope that Botox Queen has to go stand in the corner with a dunce cap on aftter 2010.
LMAO.
According to ABC News: White House Senior Advisor: Obama More Popular Than Chavez in Venezuela.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No kidding?!?!?! Considering how low Chavez approval rating is that’s not much of a Herculean task.
Hee hee, even I’M more popular than Chavez in Venezuela!
I’d be willing to gift Obama to Venezuela. Anybody got a big box and a bow????
Bernie, I hear the workers at Goldman Sachs are polling Obama with a 99% approval rating.
LMAO! That’s a good one.
Oh, I’m sure Goldman Sachs is thrilled with this administration. Why not? They have a friend in high places protecting their butt, while the nation’s coffers are continously raided.
The economy is 0bama’s Achille’s heel. They’re not going to be able to hide the truth forever. And when it comes out? They better hope it’s only pitchforks and torches.
This must be like Holy water on the Devil to the POD people.
“Thomas Paine”: It’s time for a million-person march on Washington
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/04/18/thomas-paine-its-time-for-a-million-person-march-on-washington/
I read a quote the other day [Joe Trippi may be the source}:
The next Revolution will not be televised; it’ll be downloaded and go viral.
He may have been right though I doubt he had the current sentiment pegged.
And yes, the Tom Paine clips drive the Far Left crazy.
Did you see which CNN “reporter” is taking a “previously planned” vacation?
Or as Greta called it “rookie”…not a reporter.
Come on….CNN really, really made that nut job take a “time out?” ROFLMAO.
I’ve been travelling around. Most foreigners think that obama is extremely inexperienced and has only charisma without any actual substance in his knowledge of international geopolitics. His european visit confirmed their suspicions. They now believe that he can be manipulated relatively easily.
Its really embarassing. Bush was a terrible president. Many foreigners hated him. But this guy is even worse. They laugh at him, and don’t him too seriously. We went from one extreme to another. Very embarassing.
He may be clumsy and inexperienced but he’s carrying out his agenda just as GWB and Cheney did theirs…
I’m not sure if this was ever reported on NQ but I don’t remember reading about this resettlement of Palestinians…
RE: Obama Signs Presidential Determination Allowing Palestinians Loyal to Hamas to Resettle in US
Here is yet another unilateral action taken by our new President, for which we must rely upon the information of friends to discover. I wonder how the “Jewish” block of Democratic voters now feels about their choice for President.
Try and tell the American people that Obama doesn’t have ties to the Islamic terrorist world. Obama funds $20M tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to the USA
This is the news that didn’t make the headlines…
By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza . The “presidential determination” which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.
Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.
A review of Barack Obama’s most recent actions since he was inaugurated:
Add this to what we’ve talked about before:
His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
His first one-on-one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.
He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11.
Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to and live in the US at American taxpayer expense.
To verify for yourself: http://www.thefederalregister.com/d.p/2009-02-04-E9-2488
This is dumbfounding. Just what we need, Palestinian “refugees”. Are we going to have them check their rockets at the border?
No. Obama will supply them when they are moved in.
Via his good buddy, Ayers?
Wow, he really IS Carter II. The CRAP about us paying to migrate, house and feed Hamas terrorists….that’s really great news. And people wonder why we call him the Manchurian Candidate. He can grow his own terrorist cells in America.
Just a pay for play for his Hamas supporters during the campaign.
Oh yeah, those pesky donations from Hamas that we griped about but the FEC didn’t investigate.
Obama is getting way to spooky now.
And I suppose he’ll give them their citizenship and voting rights in time for 2012.
And welfare, free education, food stamps, public housing, social security, exemption from paying taxes, etc.
admin, my comment is caught in the spam-filter. please un-spam.
Here is how the world views President Obama.
I used to believe like a lot of people in the country that GWB was a stupid clown. Later when I saw that he was being successful in every item on his list, (look at the results, not the words or outward actions), I realized that it was his cover. He let everyone believe he was stupid and maybe dyslexic but he used it to get away with almost everything. Same with BO. I believe he latched onto the inexperienced tag (because yes, he is) and lets it cover for the magicians behind the curtain. He’s doing so much damage, someone knows what they want and tells him how and when.
Kind of like giving somebody a bunch of DVDs that will not play on the DVD players back in the recipient’s home country.
Good one…LOL
hillarius..i love it.gave him a book he can’t read..lol.
Oh now I get it! The world is letting the Special Ed political leaders all come out and play with each other!
why am i still in moderation?
This is sooooooo sad. The whole world knows Obama is a complete joke. I guess I should be grateful that at least this time Obama didn’t bow down to Hugo Chavez or attempt to french kiss him? I think not!
My response to Julie got lost in some black hole so re posting:
Listen ignorant bot, while I may not agree with everything Sarkozy says the fact remains that he’s a hell of a lot smarter and competent than Barry. And Sarkozy like MOST French people are very concerned about the immigration problem in France. Why do you think the majority of the French elected him?? They’re tired of foreigners i.e. Arabs having more rights in their own country than they do. They’re tired of the high crime. No, that is not a racist thing to say. It is a reality. I have French acquaintances who are married to people of other races or who have one parent of another race and these people are much more to the left than I am and YET they all agree that the large influx of muslims is “ruining” their country. These people are not racist ….they’re merely tired of a group of immigrants (not all of them) who REFUSE to assimilate and who repeatedly display a complete lack of respect for France, it’s people, laws, and culture.
0bama STOLE…I repeat STOLE not won the nomination from Hillary. Hillary received over a quarter of a million more votes than the boob. And while ACORN played a significant role, 0bama won the GE primarily because after 8 years of Bush/Cheney most of the voters simply did’nt feel safe enough to trust another republican administration …for now.
The country did’nt feel it could trust a Democrat for 12 years after the Carter fiasco and he only served one term.
Where do you think the pendulum will swing by 2010?
Dems such as myself are angry and concerned about the cheating that went on through out the caucus votes, the damage this narcissistic neophyte is inflicting on our country and yes the lasting damage he is doing to the Democratic Party.
Because unlike 0bots who live in a fantasy world we Clinton Dems live in reality and understand that the solutions that our country needs must be addressed by those leaders who see the world as it is and not as we would like it to be.
Those of us here who are Democrats have long accepted that hardcore 0bots such as yourself are in one of 3 categories:
1. Uninformed, gullible self-deluded idiots who believe what you CHOOSE to believe.
2. Informed America haters who understand only too well the disaster that 0bama is.
3. And then finally, there’s a few Machiavellic right wingers (a la Huffington, Sullivan, Moulitsas) who can truly appreciate the poisonous damage that an 0bama presidency could inflict on the Democratic Party for years to come. Some people place their political agendas before their country and if you think otherwise then you know nothing about the byzantine history of politics.
Yeeeedoggie….You GO catherine. You just tied Ferd for first place in the Bot Slayer Contest. What a champ you are. You ROCK.
LOL…Thanks.
catherine, and as I posted upstairs, polls show that HRC would have beaten JMc by a greater margin than BO, anyway.
True jbjd, although I recall both hearing and reading somewhere that an election day exit poll showed that 16% of those who voted for McCain would have voted for Hillary if she had been the Dem nominee.
Let’s just be honest for once…If the despicable Dems, the piece of crap shitstain Dems, wouldn’t have committed the most EGREGIOUS instances of voter fraud in the history of America, Hillary would be President. IF the DNC hadn’t hated on the Clintons, then America might not BE swirling down the TOILET BOWL. Y’all wanna stay Dems? Why the hell would you? This is disgusting.
For the same reason some people stay republican despite shit stains like Rove, Cheney, Vitter, Rumsfeld,Coulter, et al. Because they understand that these individuals are a blight on their party and do not represent the principles of the republican party.
Some of us Dems have NO intention of being kicked out of our own home and we intend to fight tooth and nail to throw out the trash in the party.
I sincerely hope that after what has come down on this country in the last 8 years that republicans who honor the principles of the republican party will also commit to taking out the neocon trash that has become a blight on their party as well.
Some of us Dems have NO intention of being kicked out of our own home and we intend to fight tooth and nail to throw out the trash in the party.
Please, please clean up the party. The GOP IS working on finding a new way, and new voice. The Dems have to clean house and rebuild. This was bullshit.
I concur Catherine.
Here’s yet another reason for disrespect.
Thanks for that Doc99. Of COURSE that moron Fraud was asleep at the wheel. He’s a PUSSY pansy azz jerk. Ughhhh this makes me soooo angry. I can’t believe I had to hear people praising the Fraud, when the poor Captain was out there for four days, no rescue planned, he had to jump ship twice, and he had an Ak-47 to his head. I’m sorry, I know that some people here really want the best for this country, and they were willing to give him credit for this, but it was wrong. He doesn’t deserve credit for wiping his butt in the morning, much less actions that had NOTHING to do with him. Hey, everyone who thinks he did a “great job” LMAO…what about when the BIG ONE HITS?
What does ROE stand for?
O, goody, my sense of humor is returning about the trolls’ little “wonkets.” I trust that no regulars on this blog are moved one whit by their name-calling and 0bama-praise.
Telling people off–O,yeah, I tried that in my youth with zero success in changing anyone’s mind, or moving civil discourse.
I matured and stopped that childish nonsense.
So, I’m chuckling that your “wonkets” have landed in the ocean, like Kim’s.
The obamabotherd can praise their lead steer until the chickens come home to roost. Frankly, I don’t care what they say, since each time they post, they weaken the lead sheep, O-baa-maa.
Okay Ferd…I steal a lot of your stuff…I do. But that O-baa-maa thing? Good God. That’s just funny on SO many levels. My new one…The Sheep in Chief…O-Baa-maa…
LMAO
Steal away. Post it everywhere. If I see it elsewhere, cool.
Just call it homage, instead of theft
LOL. Actually, I give all the credit to the really sophomoric bots who make my work of derision easy. We do need some bots with an IQ greater than their hat size, though, so we can all keep our collective edge, as it were. Even
cyniccredulouscyanide has become rather dull and UBM and Julie’s OS isn’t working with a complete set of .dlls.Ubm is going through an identity crisis right now…Of course we all know he is the other white meat, but he has been trying real hard to reach out to us especially after he showed his real colors a while back with his stab in the back methods.
As far as I’m concerned, he can talk to the paw, as it were. Patience with obamabots is not a virtue that I will ever lay claim to.
“Talk to the paw?” Another ROFLMAO. Yeah, but what up with him? He had an epiphany?
Perhaps UBM’s epiphany consisted of a random thought, echoing through a completely empty space residing between his ears that told him he wasn’t well liked here.
But Ferd, we still have UKforDims and that’s a true challenge. Quite frankly, I’ve never seen anyone as angry as that Bot. I do find the sheer VOLUME of Bots this week encouraging. They must know that the Fraud has stepped in it way too many times.
PS What up with UBM? I was actually talking about having a drink with him LOL. Do you think he went to rehab and did a Kool Aid Detox? Maybe someone had an Intervention?
Hey Fed Up
Forgive UK Dem…He lives in a slum in Birmingham England and has to deal with the bother boys that wear their Doc Martin’s kicking people in the balls on his train to Manchester everyday.
Such a lousy dismal part of England and with the depression and bankruptcy and rise of Sharia law can you blame IT for being so pissy7
I’m just glad that I lived there for 8 years in the 70’s when it was still British.
Never going Back!!!
I can’t forgive that jerk. Have you seen the things he says to me? He calls me a “racist bigbot” and I didn’t know that’s because he’s Muslim. Oh well.
The trolls are an angry group of people. I prefer to spend my time with patriots who love our country and are positive about our future. Anything that touches the Fraud is soo negative that it bugs the hell out of me.
Have you really arrived Paula…
Our country need you more than ever.
I salute you from the bottom of my heart!!
I know you are going to make history.
Maybe with a little Moss to help out..
Paula is here. LOL. Great name by the way. I owe it all to Moss Man. Yes, we are all going to make history. I like the reaching across the aisle part. Brings tears to my eyes
I’m very proud of you too!!!
I’m thinking of running against Jim Baghdad McDermott when his term is up. I think I’m the only one that can beat this traitor straight up!
LOL Moss, I was just thinking about running for some kind of office here in CA. I know it would be something low on the totem poll, but I might try. I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t stand these morons so much that I figure I could do better myself.
You go PAula!
You can only run for office if you believe in something and are concerned that those in power are abusing the trust of the American people.
You have what it takes my Paula.
Whatever you need I’m here to support you!
LOL Katmoon, thanks. I love your name too.
Awwww Moss Man, thanks. I am investigating what I can do. My mother actually told me to go do it since I’m so obsessed with politics these days. I will absolutely look to the Moss for help!
I think you have found your calling!!!
You are articulated and know who you are and what is at stake for this country…
I still think you should write some threads…I will be the first to respond right after Andrew and Ferd
LOL…I really, really want to write a long winded expose on Pelosi the Pig. It’s my personal opinion that she is the biggest threat to America in our history. Way worse than the Fraud because he’s just an America hating Party Boy who doesn’t know WTF he is doing, and she’s very aware of the destruction of this country she is completing.
PS…Andrew and Ferd are adorable. Hmmmm…who’s number one with Paula?
That was brilliant! I’m sooo gonna steal that!
I meant “wockets.”
That OK, because “wonkets” works, too.
Oblahblah and the Wonkets. Has a ring to it.
It does;
adding my tea party support to my own name
Excellent insight - see below - from AC Atlanta over at Jake Tapper’s column on Chavez & Obama (for now I believe that Obama wants to change the American government to a European socialist government and “spread the wealth” baby; I don’t think that he would dare pull a complete “Chavez” on us!
“Chavez and Obama are really not that much different from one another. In the Venezuelan election of 1998, Chavez told all the Venezuelans what they wanted to hear. He presented himself as a moderate. The political center of the Venezuelan populace that was feed up with the status quo was wooed into voting for him. Over the last 11 years, however, he has revealed his true authoritarian colors. He has constantly maneuvered to centralize the powers of government into his hands, he has nationalized key industries and extended the largesse of the government to make an ever increasing number of Venezuelans dependent upon government hand outs, he has nationalized key industries and expanded the ranks of those employed by the government so that millions more depend upon government for their livelihoods. Additionally, he has polarized his country like never before. While the left and right bicker, he quietly steals the freedom of both sides. It is interesting that Obama’s old associate, Bill Ayers, was in Venezuela as recently as 2006 praising the Bolivarian educational (indoctrination) system that Chavez has instituted in Venezuelan schools. Also, Jody Evans, a key Obama fundraiser, was in Venezuela that same year expressing her admiration for the fine work that Hugo is doing. Believe me (all buffoonery) aside, these two aren’t all that different where ideology is considered.”
There are disturbing similarities between the two, that is certain.
We should remember, 0bama said, that we have to learn spanish. So, Chavez thought that 0bama already did learn spanish and can read the book. So, fratelo, we have to estudiar spanish, as our ” choosen” one ask us to do.
It is not about the book. Galeano is not the devil here. PBO shouldn’t have had those “warm words” (I want to be your friend) w/Chavez and profuse hand shakes simple b/c there are tons of people in Venezuela that are convicted and in prison only because they belong to the oposition
PBO’s behavior is condoning Chavez regime.
I am not saying the shouldn’t shake hands (the US Govt shake hands with the Chinese, and the people in countries where human rights abuses occur) But what I object is PBO’s body language and warm gestures, the offer of friendship with a man who puts a red carpet to receive Ahmadinejad, the mullahs and Hezbollah in his country.
I didn’t like the Bush’s relationships with Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and I still do not like PBO bowing, apologizing and almost doing high fives with Chavez.
In defense of Bush…Remember when oil was $147 a barrel? And everyone was crying and whining about gas prices? Do you remember that Bush had to fly over there and BEG for the Saudis to give us more oil? I can post the link to that. People sure have their nerve. The moonbats on the left don’t want us to DRILL OUR OWN, but they criticize Bush for trying to make nice to people who SUPPLY OUR OIL. I didn’t see Bush giving the Saudi King a HUMMER like the Fraud did. But it was important to keep that relationship. Why? Because of the moonbats. So, let me get this straight…the moonbats won’t let us drill…but then where the HELL do we get our oil? You want to be cut off? I can’t stand the hypocrisy of the loony left. WTF?
These enviro Nazi’s want wind mills
Have you heard them..They sound like your worst nightmare drilling inside your head. On top of that they kill birds and look ugly as crap.
I say drill baby drill!!
Moss, if there’s one thing I know it’s oil. Honestly, it’s been 30 years of my life that we have all said WTF is wrong with the moonbats? Why on earth would we want to be energy dependent on OTHER COUNTRIES? Do the moonbats not get that they are paying WAY more than 2-3$ a gallon for gas? Why? Figure in what you are paying to station the MILITARY for security at all of the export points. The last time I went to a seminar with a speaker from the World Bank, he said we are all actually paying TEN DOLLARS A GALLON for gas, with the taxes we pay the military. Can someone please tell me WTF sense that makes? Thought so.
Yet again, can you imagine how much different our lives would be with McCain and Palin? Ughhh….I feel sick about it every damned day.
My father set up the North Sea Oil rigs back in 1969-76..
That is why I was in England
I have seen boom bust all my life…
I predicted the last collapse in 08 which always destroys alternate energy sources.
better to just live in the real world and use the resources you have such as off shore drilling and oil shales etc
Sarah was an expert on these issues especially natural gas which we could be using now to change our trucks…
Sarah IS an expert on this. America really showed their total ignorance when they bashed her. She was the oil and gas commissioner, which is a hard, really difficult job. She runs the state with the most oil in this country, and the only active National Guard. When you drill oil, a bi-product is natural gas. All of these things most ignorant Americans know nothing about. Sigh. We could have had a genius, but we got the Prom King.
Paula,
Sarah represents the oil/natural gas industry which is impervious to wild swings in the speculative markets.
Look at Branson with his pie in the sky idea of using food for energy program..
We should never use food for energy..Period!!!
If McCain and Patriot/Sarah were in power we would be making constructive gains in traditional technologies which would lead to energy independence and millions of jobs.
The best obama can do is a rickshaw on two wheels being T-boned by my 300…Oh well!
Yes, Moss, but don’t you think that the speculative markets would change if we drilled our own? We don’t have to be part of that, do we? We could drill and refine our own and tell the world (including Chavez) to go to hell.
Obama is an ethanol believer. What a joke. Talk about destroying the food supply for a con job. Just like Al Gore’s con job. Man, do we need an overhaul in this country. We’re gonna DO IT.
I say, THIRD PARTY. I am so encouraged by the Tea Party bonding of people across party lines. Mossy, can’t we start the THIRD PARTY???
We could start the third party honey but the republicans lost last time by only 7% despite a collapsing market and Bush at 28% approval.
I already think that traditional republican party philosophy is back on track..Just look at me
I was a Reagan/Clinton supporter who is firmly back in the republican fold
We have a lot to fight for and the first time in a generation this is not about family values but about liberty freedom and respect for the flag..
The republicans to the chagrin of the socialist defeatists already are in the majority again.
Yeah, but how do we get the moonbats? Well, I guess they’re too stupid to vote correctly anyway LOL. But imagine this…a THIRD PARTY that let social issues be decided by the states. NOT Roe V. Wade because that is where it belongs. But, gay marriage, etc. let’s tell the GOP to STFU about it. Really, time to STFU and let people live. HOWEVER, we can be fiscally conservative and put AMERICA FIRST, which clearly these buffoons can’t conceive of doing.
Paula,
The moonbats as you call them are a minority..
Regular everyday Americans have seen their values under assault by these heathens that want to push their militant agenda on the rest of us..
The backlash will be severe!!
Respect for the flag and America
No apologies to the rest of the world..
No changes in English common law in respect to marriage or other fundamental rights
Republicans need to care about regular people that have been victims of this economic crisis but better stick to traditionhal ideals if they expect to win.
the american people want to return to the days of Reagan when it was morning in America
Moss, I listen to the moonbats here trash Reagan and I say WTF are you TALKING ABOUT? I remember the Reagan years…we were strong, prosperous, happy, healthy, etc. My life is 100 times more disgusting now that the moron Dems are trashing the country. Really, WTF?
My college roommmate married Art Laffer, the author of “supply side economics.” All of the moron moonbats trash it, but they have no idea WTF they are talking about. I was front and center with Reagan and the Fraud isn’t 1 100th of the MAN Reagan was, never mind POLITICIAN. The Fraud makes me PUKE.
I got a straight A in economics by writing a paper on Laffer economics in 1982…
Still one of my best writings!
He’s amazing. It’s a long story about my roommate marrying him, but it was such a Cinderella Story. I think he lives in Nashville now, and I was going to get in touch with him, and my old roommmate Traci when I go there. My mother was born there and I have 100 cousins there.
If anyone here can remember that time? Never attacked on our own soil, money flowing like water, it was an incredible time in history. I was at USC and living large, loving my country. How did we get here? Oh, yeah, the batcrap crazy nuts will say BUSH.
Paula..
I remember those times well.
I was in college but glued to Night line every night watching the spectacle which was the 444 days of the Iran hostage crisis.
I was a young Republican in college and was for Bush but then threw my full support behind Reagan/Bush in the election. In college I was a minority even then and looked upon as a kook who stood up for my country. This is what I had to do while living in England and defending America and realizing the threat of the Soviet Union.
I cheered when the hostages came home the day Carter left office.
I was the biggest Reagan fan and hated all the American wimps. How could anyone support Carter..Ferd tell me?
Reagan brought back patriotism and we had a good run of it till now.
The backlash is now happening the same as 1980 with Revolutionary figures like Newt coming to the forefront.
I wrote a paper in 1984 about Gorbachev and the fall of the Soviet Union which got a lot of snickers from my fellow students and teachers, but I ended up with the last laugh.
I also predicted the collapse of oil in 1985 and the stock market collapse of 1987. I even predicted the challenger disaster of 85 based on faulty maintenance..
Folks used to come to my apartment to hear my predictions and have me help with their reports and to have a nice talk with my best friend Mary jo back in the day.
Moss, I just love you. There’s nothing more important than loving the country that provides our freedom, happiness and way of life. I don’t have the history with being involved that you do, but I’m making up for lost time. I really do promise that I will make a difference.
Paula,
One reason I come to NQ is to read your up to date incites into what’s happening today..
I have responsibilities to my workers and industry so sometimes I don’t get the full scoop on what’s happening, but after reading your patriotic comments I’m always brought up to speed.
You have the drive baby!!!
I’m your biggest supporter. I will even campaign for you if needed.
Oh man I was a freshman at UCSC in 84, voting in my first election. I and about 8 of my friends cheered and laughed our arses off when Reagan won. My roommate ran around, literally pulling her hair out, screaming OH MY GOD WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!
I know we’ll get through this but I often wonder how much lasting damage 0bama will do to this country we all love so much.
The Fraud trashes this country daily. Every time he opens his mouth it’s a shitstain on our country. If we can get him impeached before 2012, great. But we should also be thinking of the ammo we have in 10 and 12 to take our country back. Obama WILL totally destroy this country. No doubt about that. He hates us and he doesn’t give a damn. But we can stop him. We’re AMERICANS.
Hey Texas Gal
I got my degree in Texas back in 87 and my Mom still lives in Houston.
Back in those days I used to climb mountains collecting fossils and debating politics in debate class.
I donated my vast fossil collection to Texas State U back in 87 before I moved to Seattle to make a life for myself.
I love central Texas and one of my best places on Gods’ great earth is Enchanted Rock the mother rock of creation dating back a billion years.
I understand the bluebonnets were just wonderful this year..
I said this in the other thread those pictures of O and Chavez are O’s Jimmy Carter moment. They will haunt him forever and it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. In this case a bad guy.
Yup I’ve got bluebonnets all around the tree in my front yard.
Central TX is very beautiful. My husband’s nephew and his wife live in Round Rock and they love it there.
My daughter is busy starting to collect fossils (from the hills around Lake Worth) and gotta say she enjoys debating too. I am amazed sometimes at how smart my kid is. Heartbroken that she knows what’s going on and worries. Her history teacher actually brought up the TEA parties in class, and discussed the MSM bias with the kids.
Some on here have mentioned 2010. Well I will tell you Gov. Palin is going tobe key in this effort. I hope enogh gains are made to aleast make Pelois(sic)and Reid very uncomfortable. I know at least Gov. Palin would not be pallin around with Chavez.
On by the way if anybody is interested Gov. Palin gave a great speech in Indiana thuresdy. It is on youtube. I now a lot of you may not agree with her on ploicy but the speech was as good as her convention speech. It is in seven parts.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiG72pOls0c
Clyde…I went to a Palin rally in Carson, California, during the GE. I can honestly say that I have never in my life been more energized for America than listening to this incredible woman speak. It’s a big piece of shame for me that some Americans did what they did to her. What a nation of lies and hate we are. And how much better our lives would be with her in power. I’m sad about it all the time.
She WILL rise from the ashes like the Phoenix she is. She is inspiring to all of us women who don’t hate each other, and bitchbite each other over abortions. What a silly thing to bifurcate an entire gender over. 2010 and 2012 will be massively patriotic moments in our history. We took Lady Liberty for granted and we need to get her back. Palin will be part of that.
Amen sistah! I saw part of her speech in Indiana and man, that woman makes me feel like I could sit down have coffee with her and feel totally comfortable. I know she’s up for re-election in 2010 and I hope it works out well for her. Go Sarah, go Sarah!
At least Palin doesnt need a telepromter to be able to make a good speech. I still remember her convention speech and the broken teleprompter…
Sorry about the Spelling.
if obama thinks chavez is his little buddy, he is very very mistaken. chavez was dissing him as some like to term it. he was putting you down barrack and you were too dang stupid to get it. if someone hands me a book to read, i’d have to think about the meaning behind it. barrack doesn’t know much about gifts it seems to me. he fxxxxed up with the pm of england and with that pathetic crax he gave the queen.
Interviews on Fox News say Palin is blowing it with Repub leadership. She turned down a key invitation in Feb to speak to Repub congressional leadership. Interviewees say she is now in trouble with the people of Alaska. I don’t know if any of that is true.
it is very simple, jangles. if they think she can win, she is doing fine. it is good politics to get points with the people who’ll be at the next convention. considering the bull i hear and see about anything that doesn’t make dims look good, i take it all with a grain of salt especially about the people of alaska. the woman making that comment i’ll bet has never been there and doesn’t know anything about the politics there.
sarah needs to get a good advisor in my view. i can see where her trust levels would be way down.
jangles–Take a look at speech she just gave and tell me if she “losing” it. As to the washington elite of the GOP who give a shit what they think. Gov. Palin is her own best advisor. What you see in that speech is the real Sarah. Gov. Palin is one of us period.” Interviewees say she is now in trouble with the people of Alaska. I don’t know if any of that is true.” If having a 60% approval is in trouble then I an sure a lot of Govs would love that kind of trouble. Gov. Palin is having trouble in Ak with the rats but it is more of a revange thing than anything else.
I will say this the Tea Parties are taloired made for Gov. Palin and her movement.
Paula Revere can probly explain what Gov. Palin means to Regan Democrats. One last thought about the elites they need her more than she needs them. Think Money.
Obama just looooooves the whole world! He’s never met a dictator he doesn’t like, in fact, he ESPECIALLY loves and admires dictators. Does he have a secret fantasy to BE one?
You want an outsider view on this? I knew you did.
Palin does not have a large enough constituency within your party. That situation doesn’t look likely to improve because her chances of carrying a general election are very slim indeed (internal polling will bear this out for the party and they’ll go with who appears to have the best chance, likely Romney, though we’re a fair distance away still).
You guys (if you’re active locally) have clout in the primaries but that doesn’t equate to electoral success. The last two elections really ought to have taught you a lesson but it apparently hasn’t.
Take Pennsylvania. We’ll assume Toomey will run in the primary against Specter and likely take the nomination (there’ll be a big fight on this one though because…) but then he’ll lose the general (…the party biggies will have the means to predict probabilities here).
To the degree that you guys continue to push futher right, the more trouble you’re going to get into. Demographics are against you as is the popularity of Obama and the present basement-level polling for Republicans.
Just tellin’ ya.
Bernie..
You seem to be a rookie to me..
Politics sometimes is based on stunning changes as we have seen with the rise of Obama.
Obama represents the reverse revolution.
I have lived throughout the world and Obama and his minions wish they really had a revolution ,but their cause represents but a fragile bud sticking out of the ground.
It’s sad for them as the backlash revolution mows them done in 2010-12.
The real revolution is about American pride and patriotism with an emphasis on traditional values, business and creating jobs through individual liberty freedom, labor and not wealth redistribution
I represent ALL companies in the NW and Canada and I’m seeing the beginnings of the biggest backlash in history.
Obama won with a paltry 7% spread despite Bush being at 28% and the economy tanking.
The leader of this revolution has not been seen yet, but when that time comes even you will rise in support…That is the way things really work.
Rookie? Interesting take. Earlier, someone else suggested I was a salaried operative here to make mischief. But I’m neither rookie nor operative.
Actually, I popped in here to see what was presently going on. In june last year, I did some research on the PUMA phenomenon (all the varied related groups) and concluded that most of what was going on was Operation Chaos related. The goal, which obviously failed, was to attempt to pull female voters over to McCain through suggesting they ought to feel disenfranchised by Obama. But we know where the female vote went.
The complexion of this site has changed, which I expected. There’s now minimal posting of the “Hillary got cheated” variety. The posts have shifted over to a new hope…that the population will become disaffected with Dem rule and Obama as President and the Republicans will be returned to power in the next election.
But aside from your hope, there’s no indicator that such a thing is about to happen. The movement is continuing to fall apart and nobody (nobody thoughtful, that is) knows how to turn things around. Tea parties won’t be it, there’s far too much of the Ron Paul in it and they don’t fall into line at the RNC’s request.
All of which is a pity. One party rule isn’t a good thing, regardless of party. You guys need to rebuild your party but you won’t do it by going further right because the voters aren’t moving that way (see last two elections).
I hope you get it together but the signs aren’t hopeful. I don’t think I saw a single post above that indicates posters here are studying outside of a very insular set of shallow and poorly educated viewpoints. If you folks remain this uneducated and uncareful in thought and unsophisticated in strategy, you are going to make it very easy for Dems to keep winning elections. You can continue to express bitterness but it achieves nothing. Go back to school. Study poli sci and learn about the actual traditions of conservatism in american history. There’s a lot to learn there but you aren’t going to get it from Mark Levin.
For someone that did research on PUMAs you are really far off, just like your assumption that most of us here are Republicans. Why do people continue to ignore the fact that most of the PUMAs and PUMA sites started as Dems who supported Hillary and saw Obama for what he is? Of course we moved on from posting about the fact the DNC stole the primary, because that was months ago.
It was very nice for you to come here and lecture us and call us uneducated. Maybe YOU should have researched Obama a little more instead of the PUMAs. Sadly you are like many of the uneducated people that fell for mr hopey changey.
There’s little to no evidence, other than declarations, that most here now or earlier, were Dems and much evidence to suggest most such declarations false. Dem/liberal policy positions (eg on unions, on choice, on education, etc) are almost never present while republican talking points are (and were) omnipresent. You’d be the only crowd of Dems I’ve ever bumped into who seem quite unable to utter a liberalism for fear their souls might burst into flame or some such.
As regards respect for Clinton and her policy ideas, again, little evidence other than declarations. The shift that went on here (and on the related sites) to cheering for Sarah Palin was completely incoherent in any terms at all other than that both were female. Policy positions and values - just about 180 degrees opposed.
Clearly, most posters here are poorly educated. It is evident not merely in lack of current affairs knowledge (as a simple example, what polls nationally and internationally actually say - and that’s not hard to find out), in their lack of familiarity with the real problems your party faces and which thoughtful Republicans are attempting to deal with (demographic shifts, changes in what the electorate considers important and how they view the role of government, the relegation of the party to the south, etc) and probably most of all in the type of rhetoric in these posts - logical fallacies abound, assertions made without even the slightest apparent awareness that there a long distance between uninformed intuition and actual knowledge, etc.
Your post has convinced me that you are invincibly ignorant.
tell him like it is.
Bernie, STFU ignoramus. You are the uneducated one. Really, WTF is wrong with you Bots? Your posts are 100% BS. PUMA? You know nothing. Polls? We posted the relevant ones, you didn’t. We also don’t give a damn about polls….So, we’re supposed to agree with your dumbazz posts because the polls tell us to? ROFLMAO. Move on Bot and stop insulting us. I will compare IQs with you any day of the week and kick your butt. Who the hell do you think you are?
Just because you swallowed the
dog-and-ponyunicorn, hope, and change show doesn’t mean that the rest of us are stupid because we didn’t fall for it. There you go again with the ad hominem abusives. Since you like using them, I will return the favor a little later.Another hasty generalization and another informal fallacy. Gee, goober, no one here is bitter. Our anger is justified because your callow, shallow idol and you, his minions, did to us what the Bush and the bushbots did to the Republicans. I though better of my former party of 32 years. Nope, you’re just as bad as those you claim to despise.
Your bantam rooster of a POTUS isn’t a liberal or a leftie, you 10-watter of a dim-bulb. He’s another Bush. You know it, I know it, and the rest of the world knows it. You are just too invincibly ignorant to acknowledge it.
You can misdirect you fellow travelers, pull the wool over your fellow sheep’s eyes, and spin cattle-flop into some wretched souffle for the consumption of your bot brethren but you will never, ever misdirect us, pull the wool over our eyes, or convince us to try that crappy concoction of yours. We believe our lying eyes, ears, and experience before we’d believe someone who is part of the problem–you, a slack-jawed, mouth-breathing, rustic who recently fell off an arugula truck.
Now go peddle your unadulterated bullshit elsewhere–we ain’t buying.
Did not the French President also say that BO was “poorly briefed” ?
Now that is akin to saying those around POTUS are not serving him well OR, the briefing is great and BO can’t understand the material.
SusanUnPC or Larry, which is it?
It’s like BO in the fell to Lewis Carols’ rabbit hole. Poor Alice.
It’s like BO fell into Lewis Carols’ rabbit hole.

I don’t believe even a smidgen of the left wing communist propaganda that has been shoved down my throat since I was a child. It took the internet and my own curiousity to find out that the Shah of Iran was the SON of the Shah of Iran, that he and his biological Dad had been ruling there for DECADES, and was run out of office and out of the country of Iran for a year, on a coup, that started with Islamists EXECUTING, murdering, in cold blood, the Prime Minister, and through a series of takeovers and threats, installing Mohammed Mossadeq with the parlaiment under the threat of death, and with deaths and executions to get it done.
All the democrats ever screamed in my face was “the USA installed the Shah of Iran, a terrible murderous dictator puppet”.
When I read the liberally garbled and leftist slanted and spun wikipedia entry on the whole deal, and sorted out the twisted blabbering left wing adjectives from the mess, I discovered plainly what I wrote above.
I was completely shocked to find out the Shah had a Dad that had ruled Iran for like a couple decades prior to he, that he was in power prior to being run out of the nation, and that when he finally came back to his traditional position, that was when the democrat brainwashers screamed at me and everyone else ” the Shah was installed by the USA”.
I think the USA is severly burdened under quite a large, a gigantic behemouth of spun history, and I doubt the screaming, screeding, democrat party has a clue that what issues from it’s mouth is one gigantic set of lies after another.
I was confronted and challenged by dozens of democrats who screamed I was a liar, and I didn’t know what I was talking about. When I provided the links, they went away, never acknowledging the truth, or alternately screamed it was all a lie, and the Shah was a USA criminal dictator puppet installed out of the blue. They also claimed Mossadeq was “elected” - but if you check, their parlaiment SELECTED Mossadeq under death threat -
I find it quite amazing, as I was absolutely taught this democrat lie from my youngest years - from those claiming to be the educated heads and professionals of “world history” or politcal knowledge.
IMO the USA is in serious trouble, as decades of propaganda have been jammed into the brains of the populace, and now have resulted in this strange vision we have, and see, in the form of Barak Obama, where he runs around the world making apologies and having hate filled USA bashers dictate his actions and the USA policies.
Same type of thing occurred in the bank bailout reroutings, where ten of billions disappeared into overseas foreign banks. We have a government and elected so weak and so deranged with brainwashed lies about the USA, that they have no chance of actually defending our interests.
It is more important to them to scream we are terrorists and torturers, and shouldn’t be, to the rest of the world, than actually telling the truth about our enemies - and doing something about it.
And so it goes with every single policy we currently have in the public discussion. From corrupt loans to corrupt financial practices to corrupt foreign policy to the enemy press declaring we are wrong, to them exclaiming the entire world agrees.
Of course the entire world agrees, we installed the bloody dictator the Shah of Iran, right, and they all “know it”. They all know the lies they have been taught, and so it goes.
My only comment to yours would be that we should have left Iran to their own devices. The law of unintended consequences has a long reach, which we seem to have an uncanny ability to be unable to avoid.
test
D+ for you.
“no one here is bitter”
You can differentiate that term from ‘anger’ but it’s a meaningless differentiation. I suppose you might consider the second term more manly, so go with that if you like.
The fact is, your post, like so many here, is marked by bluster, cliche, insult and anger. There’s almost zero thoughtful or studied address to policy or to history. It’s rather as if the game is merely ‘who can say the most insulting things about Obama’. That’s probably a species of fun but it’s not going to get you anywhere politically.
Good God, Bernie, is your troll azz still here? LMAO. As for angry and bitter? You bet. I tend to get that way when an impostor piece of America hating crap usurps my White House and destroys my country. Guess that would make anyone with a brain angry. That’s why you’re NOT angry.
Well, Paula, It’s what I’ve come to expect from a beanie-wearing, plastic-chin-strapped, chubby 12-year old dwarf who probably goes by the name T-Baggy and lives in Mommy’s cheeto-littered basement. He’s up to no good and wants us all to be in on his juvenile antics.
OMG…T-Baggy? Ben, you are just about the most high-larious human on the planet. ROFLMAO.
Well, pot, your overly-wrought histrionics are no wonder to behold. As a matter of fact you aren’t even worth the money That One is funneling you to post this gobbledegook. You come here, call us names, and then have the temerity to call us on our responses. People like you who take the low road should not criticize those of us who point out that pesky fact to you.
In addition, you’re guilty of yet another fallacy, equivocation, to boot. I’d suggest that before you post any further, you go away, take a few courses in logic and philosophy, and then stay away. We don’t need half-baked hogwash from a cloven one such as yourself. You’re a sheep and Obaa-maa is leading you to the abattoir.
We don’t need half-baked hogwash from a cloven one such as yourself. You’re a sheep and Obaa-maa is leading you to the abattoir.
ROFLMAO Ben!!!
“Your bantam rooster of a POTUS isn’t a liberal or a leftie”
An odd assertion. Can you, in some careful manner, detail how this assertion might be made coherent or less counter-intuitive. Define your terms, lay out your evidence. Offer some clear historical contrasts if you like. Tie it into some quotations from the Federalist Papers, if that helps.
Simple, dense one: That One struts around crowing and blowing but not much else. In addition, his chickens will be coming home to roost soon enough, which completes the analogy.
Well, Ben, I can’t say that you’ve responded any differently than I expected. Your post is really quite representative of what you folks here are doing (and not doing).
I admit I’m torn. On the one hand, I want the Republican party to reconstitute itself in some rational and productive form. On the other hand, because it has become as out of touch as it now is, not to mention reactive, I’d like to see it out of power for a good period of time in order for its current extremisms to be marginalized again. If you folks continue as you’ve just done above, long-term marginalization is pretty certain to be your fate.
Bernie-the-Bot…you manage to write the most long winded posts that amount to nothing whatsoever. The GOP will kick ass in 2010 and 2012. Or a Third Party will emerge. Either way, America is tired of the moonbat crap already.
Look, if your mind were any more dense, coherent thought and senses would be hard-pressed to find an escape route. I was a Democrat for 32 years, troll, until your miscreant re-wrote the rules and took the nomination by subterfuge. No matter how thinly you slice your feces, obamabot, it is still fecal matter when all is said and done. All the regulars here get it. And when you”re recalled by botHQ because you lack the talent necessary to logically or empirically convince us over to your side, you will be replaced by another obamabot, who will in turn be replaced by yet another obamabot, and so it will go. The only thing I dislike more than an obamambot or a bushbot are two of them.
Why don’t you go lower the collective IQs over at HuffnPuffPo by an order of magnitude or so and leave us to adult discussions, punk.
To simply say the GOP will kick ass (clearly, you’re another disaffected Dem) in the next two elections might be comforting but it’s downright blind to a range of real electoral factors. Which seats do you imagine changing hands in 2010? Why do you think so?
I don’t make predictions like you, automaton. But your days on NQ are probably numbered as botHQ will replace your 10-watt presence here with another 10-watter as it has with others in the past. Everyone here has seen a parade of goose-stepping, shiftless slacker crap artists come and go, from Debbie to Kelvin to believe to UKforDems to UBM. What they had in common was that they all posted, thought, and responded in a fashion identical to yours. That you are all playing from the same PowerPoint presentation is self-evident.
Whether than offer up what I contributed to the “Federalist Papers”, I have found more relevant the fight against the evisceration of the Constitution [James Madison earned the title of "master builder of the Constitution"]that Fein is quietly raging. Individuals here have also been speaking out and questioning their government’s attacks on the Bill of Rights. In our day they would have been called “patriots”.
That’s as it should be in a democracy.
J. arran Madison
Thank you, James, for your input and welcome to the fray.
*Rather* than offer up….
Paula
Let’s look at the third party option. Actually, I love the idea in principle (I’m Canadian-born and we have three viable parties nationally and more at the provincial level). But the US is a different matter for a set of historical reasons. If a third party forms up, a lot of you guys here might be the supporters of it. But the preponderance of you, if you vote third party, will be taking votes away from the GOP and making Dem wins far more certain. You’ll surely duplicate what happened to Gore as a consequence of Nader’s run.
You might hope that you’ll pull voters from the center but it is not conceivable that between now and 2010 the present face of the electorate will change anywhere near enough for that to happen.
Bernie, I really think this country is going to have a major backlash against the loony left in 2010 and 2012. Hopefully scum like Reid, Dodd, etc. will be gone.
arran Madison
Threats to the Bill of Rights and the Constitution are real and substantive issues, though where such threats might come from and what they might look like is where the complexity and detail sit.
I’m away in a few minutes to drive up to Vancouver for a couple of days, and I’d be happy to talk to you further when I get back. I confess I don’t understand your post completely (Fein?) but I’d like to thank you for writing something devoid of the usual cliches.
LMAO. As though a neophyte like you would know anything about such matters. You make the baseless assumption that your own lofty opinion of yourself and your ill-considered viewpoints are actually held by other, non-bots. You truly do need attention of the sort no one here can provide you. Try worshipping at the feet of your Master, I’m sure he’ll nod understandingly and send you off on your next assignment, to annoy yet another group of undeserving folks.
Ben
I’m not just sure what you hope posts such as this one might achieve. There’s no information of the sort which might give anyone cause to question and reformulate an idea or opinion. Did you expect to hurt my feelings or that I might be somehow impressed by your substitution of insults for thoughtfulness/knowledge?
Muster up a careful argument and I’ll take the time to respond and do so carefully.
BL–Acquaint yourself with Bruce Fein, Constitutional scholar. Jonathan Turley should also be on your reading list.
BL can read just fine. His ability becomes suspect, though, when it comes to comprehension.
Yes, I’m familiar with the two. Was there some particular passage from their writings (or discussions elsewhere) you wished to focus on and discuss?
Here’s a question for you folks. Newt, at Christianity Today, made the assertion that “The Democratic Party has been the active instrument of breaking down the family.” http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2009/aprilweb-only/115-53.0.html?start=2
We all know the circumstances related to Newt’s three marriages and two divorces.
Where would you place the blame as regards the breakdowns of Newt’s own marriages?
