In a follow up to Susan’s earlier post, I wanted to point out an error in Obama’s response to the 50 minute diatribe launched by Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, where he criticized the US for what he called 100 years of terroristic aggression in Central America and denounced the US-backed attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro’s Communist government in Cuba in 1961.
“To move forward, we cannot let ourselves be prisoners of past disagreements. I’m grateful that President Ortega did not blame me for things that happened when I was three months old. Too often, an opportunity to build a fresh partnership of the Americas has been undermined by stale debates. We’ve all heard these arguments before.”
But Obama, according to his online Certificate of Live Birth, was not actually born yet. The invasion at the Bay of Pigs in Cuba occurred in April 1961. Obama was born August 4, 1961.
Maybe the Bay of Pigs *got him born*, like the march on Selma Alabama?
But, let’s not worry about the specifics. Let’s just continue with the “Obama is brilliant. The most brilliant President, ever.” meme.
Tapper covered Obama’s trip this morning on GMA, and includes some footage of Hillary from the primary discussing the risk of the power and prestige of the US being put at risk by inexperience.
“Oh I see, it’s going to be one of those.” As in, I am going to try and be BFF’s with Chavez, and he is going to publically humiliate me? It that what Diane means by “one of those’? And too bad, although Obama is so brilliant, that Spanish isn’t one of the many foreign languages he speaks. What? He doesn’t speak any foreign languages? But..he is so brilliant!?!
And if you have any doubts about promises made by Obama on the campaign trail, and whether he considers them actual promises or just campaign rhetoric, just have a look at a recent answer he gave Tapper about Cuba:
TAPPER: Thank you, Mr. President. You have heard from a lot of Latin American leaders here who want the U.S. to lift the embargo against Cuba. You’ve said that you think it’s important leverage to not lift it. But in 2004, you did support lifting the embargo. You said, “It’s failed to provide the source of raising standards of living and squeeze the innocent” and “it’s time for us to acknowledge that this policy has failed.” I’m wondering, what made you change your mind about the embargo?
OBAMA: 2004 that seems just eons ago. What was I doing in 2004?
TAPPER: Running for Senate, sir.
OBAMA: I was running for Senate, there you go.
There ya go, as in, “I was campaigning…it was just a bunch of stuff I said to get elected.” And that was just a mere three years before he began his run for President. You can read the rest of the answer here.

I think for our own protection, we need to surround him…with a prayer every single morning and evening that he be blessed, healed, made whole; he and his wife be shown how to put down the burden of racism toward whites and the chip on their shoulders they’ve been carrying for way too long. They are deeply wounded people and I pray that they be so surrounded by blessings and healing that they are not able to make mistakes that can cause great harm to us or our country.
It’s clear that he does not know that he can’t heal the world as a wounded, flawed man. The ego and arrogance they both portray through their actions are the obvious symptoms that they are unconscious. We need to surrounded them with our protection until he can be removed from office and have time to give full attention to his internal development and maturity. Presently, he does not deserve any of my respect but will leave the door open that in years to come, when we’re out of harms way, he could earn it. I accept that it might be too much to expect in this lifetime.
I pray that his followers, who have as much depth and cognition, as Oprah’s Pop Guru’s be awakened to their folly.
As for Oprah, I believe she sees herself as an all knowing, powerful Guru; a power behind the throne. May she find humility and racial healing herself.
And on the external side, I will continue to resist his policies, programs, dangerous ideas and educate those closest to me with as much information as they will accept.

I think he just wanted the “prize” - I don’t think he had a clue what he was getting into, and I don’t think he is interested in much of it. I’m not certain he has any kind of a general goal. A Forged Long-Form Birth Certificate?
DC sources say that an Administration team is working on perfecting a forgery of the long-form birth certificate. They plan on presenting it in a a month or so. The source is an FBI agent who has drinking buddy from University of Illinois now in the Administration. It’s second hand, but the source is supposed to be solid.
They have already prepared the forgery with special paper and ink. The document was printed on a fully functional 1960 Heidelberger printing press located at a print museum in Toronto. Access was arranged by a trustee of the museum who is connected to a large Canadian banking/investment firm with major US interests.
The blanks in the forged form were filled in with an old Underwood Manual typewriter bought at an estate sale in Skokie, IL. The raised seal was the easiest piece to fake, since you can by a special order corporate seal from just about any online office supply store.
The only reason they haven’t rolled out the forgery yet is that it is “seasoning” under mild UV light and a back and forth rotation between between a humidifier and a sauna. Get ready….one to two months tops.

Sara, what I think is the problem with him is his inability to think on his feet. His ad libs and off the cuff remarks are never precise because he does not have the much needed breadth of knowledge (forget about depth) nor does he have the fluency with language to put that into coherent sentences. Brilliant? Not. Stick a teleprompter microchip in his brain. Just like the news crawl on this NQ screen, there should be a teleprompter screen crawl in his field of view all the time. Is it too far fetched?
Same problem as discussed in LJ’s post earlier. The question was tough about his encounter with Chavez — what did he do? He fell back on the only thing he knew from his campaign days — that he will talk to anybody and then he added a twist that people agreed with him and voted for him. There was no growth in terms of now that he is the president and obviously he will have had more precise info/policy/plan to deal with people like Chavez, that he would give a more precise and substantive answer to what can be accomplished with Chavez that benefits our country. None of that came about. This guy is a flake. Let us just hope he does not do much damage.

How is it possible that the Bush administration and our legislative government can pass a “patriot act” that allows them to tap our phones, email and dig into our private records but can not locate one scrap of evidence of a paper trail that follows Obama from 1980 by school records, military registration, passport travel records even though under the Homeland Security guidelines in place in 2001 he would be a prime suspect under surveillance because of his Muslim connections.
Is our government intelligence really that obtuse or were they supposed to ignore the alarm bells this double standard should have set off? There are no presidential candidates with secret identities, every elected president from George Washington to George W. Bush had a long established paper trail (even if some did try to hide the bad things in their past). So why this one man whose birthplace, birth date, and true ideology is unknown? Who is this man? And why is he in our country pretending to be one of us? This has nothing to do with race; it has to do with a political philosophy that does not embrace our Constitution or our democratic/republic way of life.

Wow! Patrick Henry. That set off waves in my memory about a free verse poem written by Don Marquis about hypocrites. It’s titled “aesop according to archy”. For any of you not familiar with the author, Don Marquis wrote a column during the 30’s for the (I think) Chicago Sun Times. His voice was spoken through a cockroach…the reincarnated soul of a free verse poet named archy. When the paper closed at night, archy (who couldn’t use the shift key) would jump from key to key on the typewriter, telling about life during the depression and prohibition from his POV and that of Mehitibel the Cat…an alley cat the reincarnated soul of Cleopatra. I’ll look through my books to see if it’s handy. It makes me smile to remember his charming stories…the one on hypocrisy cuts to the bone though.

I’m so sick of hearing about the Mexican War and U. S. intervention in Central America to justify Mexicans sneaking into the country and turning it into a third world drug haven. It seems like this sceniro has been played out as long as I can remember.
America has been blamed for almost every war atrocity that has happened for the longest time, along with being the reason that a particular nation or culture have problems.
Yet what people fail to look at is all the billions that America has given to our enemies even after they have committed atrocities against us the we would never even think of.
Lets get out of this apologetic (Espeically $$$ repriations) mind set and just move on. We should leave the past behind, learn from it and move on.
This apologetic minset is what has gotten America where we are now. We have been spending Billions fixing the problems of other nations (even our enemies) while our nation is falling flat on its face and going bankrupt. We now have more than a trillion dollar debt but are still spending Billions to help other countries fix themselves. When does America get fixed guys??? When does America get help from all these countries we have been supporting?
If your house is falling down and in need of repair, do you keep ignoring it so that you can fix all the other houses on the block. And if you do what happens?
What strikes me about his 3 mos old comment is the complete self-centeredness of it. Over and over again he demonstrates that he does not understand that he is representing an entire country of people not just himself. How brilliant! How mature! You know, all the comments here about how Obama hates whites and American and was really born in Kenya do nothing to dispel the notion that PUMAs are motivated largely by either racism or xenophobia.
