Unlearn What You Know

Some people have brains. Some have exceptional skills. Some hate-worthy individuals have two or all of the above. And then there’s Janet Napolitano, who has none.

She has consciously stuffed her considerable frame with nothing but empty platitudes, vacuous double-speak and orthodox political correctness.

[Editor's Note: Except when she blames Canada for 9/11 -- needlessly pissing off one of our good-guy friends! Oy! h/t Lyn]

She has already launched investigations into those who deport illegal aliens.

She has now gone a step further and declared illegal immigration itself “not a crime per se.”

Yes. It. Is.

You stupid, stupid, stupido.

Let’s use one of Obama’s favorite, cliched metaphors. My rational argument against illegal immigration is the scalpel.

Whereas Napolitano’s moronicness is the sledgehammer.

But a fat lot of good my scalpel does against her sledgehammer, which instantly bludgeons all opposition into oblivion.

How can you argue against willful ignorance?

Isn’t it comforting that we have the best of the best leading our country and not some inexperienced, unqualified imbeciles…Oh, that’s right…we didn’t get Clinton or McCain…we have hope and change.

Why on earth is this silly, dumbazz woman in that job? My God. I thought the Fraud was going to have some incredible, fabulous, chock full of genius people cabinet, all people we could look up to. Wow. Tax cheats, swindlers, embezzlers, you name it. And then there’s this mess of a woman. I can’t BELIEVE the stupid things she has said in such a short time. She’s competing with Imbiben for Gaffemaster Royale of the Fraudbama Cabinet.

The best one is this America hater saying that anyone who has a pro-life bumper sticker, is a returning VETERAN, attends a Tea Party, etc. is a right wing extremist who should be considered a domestic terrorist. Oops, but we don’t use that word anymore…unless we’re talking about Americans. I have signed endless petitions to get rid of this woman. She has NO business in that job. NONE.

The second best is the comment about illegal immigration NOT being “illegal…” Okay, WTF? Really, WTF?????

Comment by Tom Cat "wodiej" Jefferson Esq | 2009-04-23 19:05:12

I agree on all of it. I just heard today that she said crossing the border wasn’t really illegal. Cripes, She is another example of why Democrats don’t have control over everything very often. They’re too damn stupid and they’re a bunch of wussies.

At least Janet has spunk and gall to spare…and guess what, she’s FEMALE! Can we believe it? A woman with arrogance and spunk and insolence to spare….And why not I asketh!?
Now as for her clueless comments re border…that’s another matter. But still nice to see women in power - use it just as arrogantly as men for a change! You go,Janet baby. I’ll dedicate a Les Mizerables song to thee! In Spanish….

Comment by Texas Gal | 2009-04-23 23:13:06

Janet Napolitano is anti-American and can’t seem to utter a sentence without inserting her foot in her mouth. Sorry but I don’t give her a pass just because she happens to have a uterus.

Comment by tek | 2009-04-24 09:04:19

Texas GAl: I agree totally. I’ve known too many women during my career who are in positions of power and instead of being new and different, they cave into the men and act just as stupidly. Seems we’ve got another one. I’m sorry to say, I thought she was going to do a good job after all her bluster about securing the border. Turned out to be another LIE from the Obambie administration.

Paula: read the article. She says illegal immigration is not a crime. WTH? This is the woman who begged Bush to send troops to secure the border because illegals were ruining the state of AZ. She also called for U. S. military a week ago to contain the drug cartel violence on the Mexican border.

Now she’s in favor of the porous border?

Obama is going to amnesty all the millions of illegal hispanics and they know it. That’s the deal he made with them to get their vote.

Barack Obama=George W. Bush

Comment by tek | 2009-04-23 21:15:33

OH, so my point upstairs was: because she says illegal entry isn’t a crime, that’s why she’s in the Cabinet. Obama is going to give an Executive Order and say the illegalas are legal.

Comment by Paula Revere | 2009-04-24 00:03:00

Yes, tek you are right. It’s the new Obamanation. A bunch of illegal freeloaders, dependent on the Messiah, and voting for his crap like crazy. Sigh.

I guess her claim to fame while Gov was the incessant campaigning for BO during the primaries and the GE.

“She has consciously stuffed her considerable frame with nothing but empty platitudes, vacuous double-speak and orthodox political correctness” IF you change the “she” to he, you could be describing Barky.

What a mess, then when they called her on the 911 terroists and Canada, “Ms. Napolitano blustered: “I can’t talk to that. I can talk about the future. And here’s the future. The future is we have borders.”

I can’t believe Barky hasn’t been in office even 100 days yet.. God Help us.

Let’s see. We have a President that doesn’t seem to like America very much. Hence the apologies for our “arrogance”.

He’s appointed some folks that “forgot” to pay their taxes. That would have been unforgivable under GWB.

Then we have Ms. Napolitano that now says illegal immigration is no longer illegal. I wonder how legal immigrants that worked hard and studied to get their status feel about that?

Comment by seattle slough | 2009-04-23 20:41:20

But illegal immigration isn’t a crime per se.

Really.

Entering the county illegally is a crime. But lots of illegal immigrants are merely here unlawfully. That isn’t a crime. It is a civil law violation, and they can be deported, but we can’t toss them in prison.

Also, if you were found to be an unlawful immigrant (without an unlawful entry), you would have no criminal conviction on your record. There is a difference.

You might (if you lacked a brain) say, “well they wouldn’t be here illegally unless they entered illegally.”

But of course this isn’t anywhere near the truth. A significant portion of our illegal/undocumented immigrants entered under a legitimate visa and merely overstayed. Whether it was a tourist, work, or school visa or whether they legally entered with the intent to only visit (from a country from which no visa was required) and changed their mind later, none of these people committed a “crime” by remaining here.

So, since she’s right, and you’re wrong, you probably owe her an apology. Yes?

Comment by Eleven | 2009-04-23 21:03:45

You remind me of somebody I just had a discussion with yesterday about whether the president “taught” constitutional law. Because according to Robert Gibbs, it is incorrect to say the president taught on constitutional law. But I clearly remember constitutional law was on his course list, and there were several articles of student testimonial of attending his constitutional law class, and even the president himself claimed he “taught constitutional law for 10 years.” I listed all the facts, then my friend got testy. He said that depends what your definition of ‘teach’ is, and what your definition of ‘constitutional law’ is.

Are you talking to me?

Track-a-Crat is the one splitting hairs here. Not me. What Napoliano said was true. It’s true in fact and it’s true in tone. Illegal immigration ISN’T a crime per se.

Period.

There is only one definition of “crime.” I’m a lawyer and crimes are defined by statute.

Being in this county unlawfully is not among them.

Ironically, the one getting “testy” after being informed of the “facts” is apparently you.

Comment by seattle slough | 2009-04-24 14:17:49

Ironically, you are the one getting “testy” when confronted with “facts.”

I’m not the one splitting hairs here. Trak-a-Crat is. She’s wrong. You’re wrong.

It is as simple as that.

Comment by tek | 2009-04-23 21:13:38

seattle: Wrong. 5,000 hispanics enter the U. S. illegally everyday and have been for 8 years. People who live on the border say where they used to see 5 people crossing, they now see 50 people crossing.

However they got here, they are breaking the law to be in this country and no one owes them citizenship because they barged their way into the U. S.

Comment by seattle slough | 2009-04-24 13:02:43

tek:

None of what you said makes anything that I said wrong. Not in the slightest. How could you possibly think that your argument made anything that I said “wrong?” I don’t understand your point in the slightest.

There are thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants who are in this country illegally, yet they committed no crime. Therefore, “illegal immigration is not a crime per se.”

There is no argument against this.

Again, for the slow: being here unlawfully is not a crime. Like parking in a handicap spot (when you are not handicapped) is not a crime. It’s unlawful. You can get a fine or other administrative punishment for doing it, but you are not committing a crime and thus, you cannot be punished criminally.

My point remains unblemished - that Track-a-’Crat was wrong to call Napolitano “stupid” for saying (absolutely correctly) that “illegal immigration is not a crime per se.”

Napolitano was right. As I am right. As you and Track’ are wrong. I suggest you stop digging on this one.

I guess you owe me an apology in addition to the apology Track’ owes to Napolitano.

And another thing. I’m not going to call Track-a-’Crat “stuipid” for writing what she did. But she did write something stupid. There it is up there. Still flat wrong for all the world to see.

Napolitano should study up her recent political history. She should be thanking Canada for offering up its over 130 dead men and women soldiers in the Afganistan war and Canada has spent over 30 billion bucks. A better friend or ally than her northern neigbors Janet could not have dreamed of!
Yet she wants to tell the world that the bloody terrorists came from Canada’s border?! Last time I checked they came from Saudi and other islamist countries and did not hold a Canadian passport or sneak across the border. On the contrary, the gun smuggling activities from the States into Canada is drawing a lot of criticism as well as refugees from southern american countries entering Canada from the States. Thank god for the Safe Third Country agreement!
Janet, better read up on your Canadian history and send a letter of thanks!

Comment by lorac | 2009-04-23 22:01:26

I think she was just trying to make it a general “border issue” (they’re coming in everywhere!), so the focus would be off Mexico - so she and Obama can keep them coming, pass another amnesty, and have lots of new votes in 2012. If the focus stays just on one border, the one with Mexico, maybe she worries we’ll ask for action. I think it was just a distraction, that statement….

This is not in support of Janet Napolitano.

But I have a problem with this phrase in the article,
You stupid, stupid, stupido.

Now when was the last time an article written to criticize Obama or any of the male members of his staff, had the writer blatantly calling the men stupid, stupid, stupido. They were criticized harshly (rightfully of course) and by all means criticie Janet that way as well. But why use words like stupid and bimbo, terms we only use to criticize women. I am not referring to the those making comments here, I am referring to the writer of this article, I have seen so many articles here criticizing Obama and his male staff (rightfully so) but never do the writers call out the men as stupid, stupid, stupido. Male politicians are just criticized on facts, with women politicians we not only criticize her on facts (and sometimes without that in the case of Bill Maher), but we call them stupid or bimbo something male politicans are never called by writers or journalist in their articles and then we also mock the looks of female politicans.

In all the criticisms I have heard of dick cheney, never once did anyone make fun of his looks, but I see that here with Janet and with Garafolo.

By all means criticize Janet and garafolo, but criticize them they way you would criticize a man. It just seems that women politicians are critized harder and with double standard, maybe if we hold male politicans to that standard we would have less shit in this country right now.

I guess I expect better from No Quarter.

This reminds me of the time Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a bimbo on his show for not being able to name any newspapers she reads, when was Obama called dumbo for not knowing how many states the US has, hell they did not even call George Bush when he was campaigning in 2000, and it was clear his general knowledge was pathetic as well. They made it seem like Sarah Palin was dumb beyond belief,I am pretty sure there are just as many dumb male politicans in Washington right now, except that we don’t call them dumb or bimbo, we just criticize them when they crew up based on facts and jokes are made based on facts as well. Did anyone even call Governer Jindal stupid or dumb because all he had to complain about the budget was the volcano research funding when there was so many useless funding on the budget. Also Paul Krugman called the republican party not Jindal specifically beavis and butthead of course, MSNBC twisted his words and made it sound as if Krugman called Jindal Beavis and Butthead. This is the only time I have heard the dumb anology being used on a male politican. Sure the commedians were always making jokes about what they thought was George Bush’s lack of intellect, but have never called him stupid or bimbo directly

Comment by tek | 2009-04-24 09:14:41

Sabina: I don’t know where you’ve been, but we call Obama stupid all the time on this blog. Calls ‘em like we sees ‘em!

Sabina,

I’ve never read the phrase “stupid, stupid, stupido” before - I thought I was being slightly original, but it would seem not…

I was only emphasizing her incredible lack of intelligence - “stupido”, in my use, is not an amalgamation of “stupid” and “bimbo.”

Swine/Bird Flu Hybrid COMING THRU MEXICAN BORDER

http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/2009_04_23_archive.html

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/24/us/24flu.html?ref=us

The Center for Disease Control though has noted that Mexico had a strange and rather late season influenza outbreak. This information now coupled with “a new Swine Flu” having infected 7 Americans on the Mexican border regions should set off the alarm bells, when the said virus is a combination of swine, bird and human viruses from Europe, Asia and North America.
The Americans recovered from this virus and samples are being looked at by the CDC, but this situation needs to be explained in an al Qaeda context from the international Marxists in protocols in how one spreads a virus or gauges transmission.
The reality is this:

If one desires to attack the United States with a bioweapon, one uses Chinese shipping and PLA intelligence as a transshipping point for some communist group of Muslim Marxists etc… to drop a concentrated load of germs into a Mexican port.
The vials would be pocket aerosol size, like a can of spray on cooking oil.

Distribution would be simply going through Mexican markets and inoculating items from clothing, tissues to food.
If one desires to join the big leagues, one can distribute a drop shipment of personal items like deodorant with an advanced absorption agent via the skin to seat the germ into the human host.

No one would suspect your deodorant was making you sick with influenza.

Once one has that fire started, the Obama trend of any border buster is good for his 2012 vote, spreads these human carriers now all through America on their spring migration to the human traffic points across America.
There is a massive one operating in Iowa which is designed to spread slave labor to all the rural communities in “dairy” and “poultry” operations.

This is how “al Qaeda” would spread an engineered human, bird and swine virus into America with immune hosts from Mexico.

Comment by tek | 2009-04-24 09:12:15

tminu: how come you can figure all this out but the “genius” in the WH can’t? I tell ya, the Obama Dems are so determined to get a Mexican majority in the U. S., they don’t care what plagues they visit upon us. The whole phenomenon of allowing millions of third-world people–or any people–into our country without medical or criminal checks is more stupid than Bush sticking the CIA information on Al-Quaeda into his desk drawer and looking the other way.

We are seriously starting to look at other countries. If only we could get the children to follow.

Comment by Paula Revere | 2009-04-24 13:31:48

It’s pathetic. Obama and Pelosi don’t give a damn that they are turning us into a Third World Country all because they want their Hispanic voter pool. It’s criminal. I hope we can prosecute them for treason.

Comment by cynic | 2009-04-24 13:58:45

In case we’ve forgotten, the bulk of that illegal immigration wave hit the U.S. during the 8 years Bush was in office, with republicans firmly in control of Congress during 6 of those years. They’re here because American business wanted and lobbied for dirt-cheap labor, with no attendant requirement for employee benefits. Greed, coupled with a total disregard for the long-term social consequences–it’s that simple.

Comment by tminu | 2009-04-24 14:03:45

True blue erosionist Bush was, yes, and many many of those Mexican workers work in the American food industry.

Comment by Paula Revere | 2009-04-24 14:06:42

Well, while we are erroneously playing our daily “hate the GOP” game…Pelosi is the one that says sending them back is “Un-American.” She is the one who is Un-American IMO.
