Ooooo, I like Gibbsy as a nickname, Uppity. Last night we came up with Gobbs, as in the Gobbster or Gobbelty-Gook.

But Gibbsy works. And I’m sure the masses will be comforted in knowing that the Gobbster will now interpret Joey B.’s gaffes. Wonder who else he has a mind-meld with?

He’s pretty dreadful as a Press Secretary, regardless of the name.

There isn’t much about the GWB presidency that I liked, but I have to confess, Tony Snow was really an effective Press Secretary. I won’t forget him. After him, Dana Perino was less memorable, but still adept at her job.

I just saw Gibbs 30 seconds ago, presuming to explain what Joe really meant to say, and I’ve already forgotten him. What an embarrassment!

Actually, I think Biden meant what he said, in spite of protestations to the contrary by Goober Gibbs.

I’m not entirely convinced that this is incompetence. I suspect that the Obama administration is trying to talk down as many industries in the private sector as humanly possible (pork producers, airline industry etc) in order to rationalize another “bailout” aka nominal nationalization.

But then, I could be overly cynical…

Gibbs doublespeaks.

It’s surprising to me that this administration, headed by the greatest orator ever (GAG!) can’t say what they REALLY mean, ever. How can the press continue to support this group of screw ups?

I can’t call Gibbs by a pet name. Sometimes he gets really sarcastic and snotty. I think he must be a total jerk.

Why didn’t someone in the Muddy Stream Media aks Gibbsy to tell us what Biden you mean to say tomorrow since he is an “enchanted” fortune teller and mind reader.

Biden was trying to scare up a panic. Just like with the “fly over Manhattan” incident, Obama wants to see what he can get away with and who he can use to do it. Nothing is done by accident. I really resent them using the term “bone headed” as an excuse. These are intelligent men, and as such everything they say should be suspect. My questions are always – what are they up to, what does this mean and who stands to gain? Call me cynical, but I don’t take kindly to anyone trying to blow smoke up my butt.

HA! Remember, after Joe didn’t make it in the primaries he really wanted to be Sec of State….how would the King of the Gaffes fare around the world as our chief diplomat? Not.

I always wonder why Bambi picked him. Purely selfish reasons because if he had chosen the right person the Dems could have had a chance at 16 yrs in the WH–if he were grooming someone to run after him but by picking Joe he didn’t want the competition.

and Gibbsy? I love the new nickname.

“…What he meant to say…” Gibbs certainly has to swallow hard to produce some sort of semi-plausible explanation. Even so, he failed miserably. The laughter in the press room should be taken as a direct reflection of prevailing sentiment.

I don’t know why any of us should believe the “official Obama line” concerning the Swine Flu..considering all the lies that were told during the campaign…and continue to be told..like the “stimulus package” has created or saved 150,000 jobs, and no lobbyists will serve in his administration…and no bill will be signed until the American public has 5 days to review the bill……

A doctor in Texas claims that swine flu cases are at least ten times worse than officials are letting on, and that hospitals are becoming overwhelmed as the virus has already crossed the threshold to be considered a phase 6 global pandemic.

Dr. Marcus Gitterle, an emergency medicine physician based out of New Braunfels, Texas, sent out an internal alert which contains several stunning claims about swine flu that, if true, officials have presumably sought to keep from the public.

The doctor claims that the actual number of confirmed cases of swine flu is 10 to 25 times worse than has been reported, and that people are not recovering easily, as has been claimed, but that many Americans are in fact seriously ill.
