And what makes you think he is going to keep his promises? So far, he hasn’t done very well. Didn’t read bills before signing, ignored the huge number of earmarks in the stimulus bill, did not post the bills online for five days before voting, etc, etc. During the primaries and the presidential campaign he said what he thought people wanted to hear, not what he really meant. He is a snake oil salesman, surely you have noticed that by now?? We all have.

2: Watching shows on hulu in no way upsets the networks; they want nothing more than to monetize the internet and the more viewers they get, the better, because then they can charge higher rates for online ads. Also, for online programming, the networks get to pay much lower residuals to actors, writers, etc, so it’s more money in network pockets.

I for one am getting sick of the chauvinistic BS that is growing in this country, women are forgetting. Perhaps it’s getting close to time for a third wave to remind the younger generations of just what women have been through in this country. The struggles they’ve made to get to where they are now. To tell them it’s not OK to be used for a punching bag. It’s not OK for men to talk to you this way. It is OK to say no. Etc.

Most comics were on writing staffs somewhere at one time or another. I can understand them honoring the line.

And yes, they would have very little to work with without their staffs. Few write more than a line or two a day and rely on the staff for everything else.

On his HBO show, “Real Time With Bill Maher,” the comedian routinely makes vicious fun of celebrities, politicians, presidents and even God. But he’s learned that, for much of his audience, Barack Obama is off limits.

Not long after the historic presidential election, Maher joked that Republicans were feeling particularly superstitious: “They say the country is having bad luck because there’s a black cat in the White House.” The studio audience erupted in loud groans and boos — a reaction, Maher observed in a recent interview, that exceeded his often scathing attacks on organized religion.

“Obama is the new God,” quipped Maher of the poorly received dig, which he pointed out pokes at conservatives more than the commander in chief.

I don’t need to be lectured by someone who opposes gay marriage for religious reasons who then hypocritically parades around in a bikini on national television.

Her skills at introspection must be lacking because that demonstrates a real disconnect in thought processes.
