After reading extensively about the problems associated with electronic voting, I conclude that this system cannot ensure my Constitutional right to vote, which includes not only ‘casting’ a vote but also, having that vote count. And merely telling me, my vote was counted is not good enough; if I cannot prove that my vote was cast for the particular candidate I selected then, in effect, I have ceded my vote to the ‘machine.’ And, no matter what process my government implements to enable me to ‘cast’ my vote, at all times, I own that vote. So I need to know it counts. But, according to the literature, using electronic voting machines cannot guarantee my vote will count. No wonder; many of the staffers of the companies that produce these electronic voting machines are convicted criminals. So, why did my federal legislators, whom I pay $174,000/year to legislate in my best interest, vote for HAVA, the law that pays states to purchase these unworkable electronic voting machines from these crooks? Well, either you failed to do you homework or you have a vested interest in maintaining this corruption. (Either way, you owe me a rebate!)
