And if you had been listening to Rush on Friday, you would have learned of this before Maddow brought it up. If you read The Washington Post, you would have to thumb through to page A16 or 18. But one wouldn’t learn about where the article was buried if you read the web site

Concur on your comment confusedamerican. How can these jamokes point fingers at Limbaugh and not say anything when Gov. Palin “should be gang raped” by some New York guys. Oh yeah, she’s not a real woman, she’s conservative. Rush was pulling for Hillary to beat Obama and they still dog pile. Sounds like “CHERRY (fact) PICKING” to me.

When those in leadership — elected or “selected” and paid by the taxpayers can admit that they screwed the taxpayers via Fannie, Freddie and Fraudie (0bama) then maybe — just MAYBE — Rush needs to apologize. Until 0blabberman does, then Rush needn’t bother. jowo.

There’s a scientific study out there (from the WWII days) that examines that 1/3 of any population will always go with the most totalitarian regime, no questions asked. There is something about having that absolute strong leader these people literally can’t resist.

This explains a lot about this wondrous party identification poll…the country is now split roughly in thirds. Go figure.

One difference is Rush is an entertainer. You may not like his political views or brand of humor, but he’s not in that category by himself. there are a lot of so-called progressives or dems right there with him being just as vile. Not defending Rush or rape, but for anyone in the news today, unless I hear the entire statement, I’ll reserve judgement. I listened to Rush’s entire interview with Hannity about him wanting “Obama to fail.” And of course we know what the media did with that. Frankly, I agree with Rush on that issue. Premiere networks didn’t sign him to a $400 mil contract because he has no listeners. I’m less interested in headlines and look for, as Paul Harvey (RIP) would say–the rest of the story.

I stand by my assertion that insult is insult, regardless of who does it.

The size of Limbaugh’s audience is not at issue. His wrong-headed remarks are.

Same with Maddow and Olbermann.

Olbermann’s treatment of HRC during the campaign was the worst of any in my mind. Totally sexist, malicious, and degrading at every turn.

However, that in no way excuses Limbaugh, just as Limbaugh’s behavior in no way excuses Olbermann.

Why does the obvious vitriol of one, have to be juxtaposed with the vitriol of the other?

Malefactors are malefactors, and in my opinion should be judged simply re their own baseness. Comparisons seemingly only serve to cloud the issue.
