What? An ACORN Spokesman Lied?? And Justice Not Served…

Hell to the yes, he did. You want to guess about what he lied? The Census and ACORN workers, that is. Oh yeah - our fears come true:
Remember those Black Panthers who were arrested in Philly for voter intimidation? Well, guess who’s got a friend in the White House? That would be the three men charged - amazingly, the charges have been DROPPED by the Justice Department! Oh, you know I’m not making this up:
Charges brought against three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense under the Bush administration have been dropped by the Obama Justice Department, FOX News has learned.The charges stemmed from an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force — one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.
The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he “supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews.”
The Obama administration won the case last month, but moved to dismiss the charges on May 15.

The complaint says the men hurled racial slurs at both blacks and whites.
A poll watcher who provided an affidavit to prosecutors in the case noted that Bartle Bull, who worked as a civil rights lawyer in the south in the 1960’s and is a former campaign manager for Robert Kennedy, said it was the most blatant form of voter intimidation he had ever seen. (Emphasis mine.)
In his affidavit, obtained by FOX News, Bull wrote “I watched the two uniformed men confront voters and attempt to intimidate voters. They were positioned in a location that forced every voter to pass in close proximity to them. The weapon was openly displayed and brandished in plain sight of voters.”
He also said they tried to “interfere with the work of other poll observers … whom the uniformed men apparently believed did not share their preferences politically,” noting that one of the panthers turned toward the white poll observers and said “you are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker.”
A spokesman for the Department of Justice told FOX News, “The Justice Department was successful in obtaining an injunction that prohibits the defendant who brandished a weapon outside a Philadelphia polling place from doing so again. Claims were dismissed against the other defendants based on a careful assessment of the facts and the law. The department is committed to the vigorous prosecution of those who intimidate, threaten or coerce anyone exercising his or her sacred right to vote.”
Golly, I am just SO surprised, aren’t you? I just never expected that Obama’s Justice Department would let these three men who were engaging in extreme voter intimidation off!! Ahem. Who am I kidding? Of course I did. I’m just surprised it didn’t happen sooner…

The message from the Obama administration is clear, voter intimidation will be accepted as long as it’s coming from the supporters of candidates with a “D” after their name. But I see this backfiring in a huge way. People from Texas to Ohio were angry at what happened especially during the primaries last year, and if they see this kind of behavior being condoned, do you really think that violent confrontations at the polls are not the next logical consequence?
Anybody know how/if we can tell a census person to buzz off and just send the form to us instead?
We live in an area that gets very close scrunity, and I don’t want some local oNUT knockin’ on my door.
As I understand it, you can request the form directly from the Census Bureau.
And yes, Obama’s choice of Salazar was HORRIBLE for the environment. What a shock - and all those organizations (several to which I belong) were SOOO excited abt Obama. Yeah. I wonder how they feel now??

No matter whether you return the form that was mailed to you, the problem with this census will be, now that ACORN has a taste of the success of fictionalizing voter registration lists and caucus sign-in sheets, for example, with impunity, on what basis does anyone suppose they won’t concoct whole voting districts, especially in ’swing states’? Seems to me, this would be much easier - read, less detectable - than stealing the election through the ballot box.

Can an individual citizen bring charges against these men or did that happen? I remember when it was happening realtime, it was unbelievable. Obama’s Justice Dept is on crack.

Do i care? No. Why? Because we have had over 40 years to find an alternative energy souurce. We’ve had 2 dem president, mojority democratic congresses, and a VP that was so green until he was a tree. Right now during and econoimc crisis, jackining up energy prices will do things like, causing my grand mother who is 86 and lives on a fixed income and already has to keep her house cold in the winter, to freeze and probably have to sit in the dark.. And if you jack of my energy prices, than you decreas my abiliity to give her money to help out with her bills. When it comes to granny freezing or the polar bears swimming, let the damn bears swim. I hate to act like i don’t care a bout the enviroment but I choose people over bears any day of the week. You want to punish these people find and alternative fuel source that works when we can afford it, not after the we are trillions of dollars in debt with an inept fool as president or do you not care about how this will effect humans?

RRRA: I was out in my neighborhood at a picnic tonight (I live in PA), and the two topics of conversation were the Black Panthers suit being dropped and the 42 out of 48 MTR permits the EPA is set to approve, which, according to my very savvy neighbor, is more than were approved during Bush’s entire Presidency. (More Obama broken campaign promises.) People are really angry, not only by the events themselves, but that our MSM has practically ignored both. So maybe each is worthy of a separate post? Don’t want to tell you what to do, as I love all your posts, it just seems to me that the more the MSM ignores a story, the more great bloggers like you should make every effort to bring it to light.

I Googled Malik Zulu Shabazz. Found some interesting things. He was born Paris Lewis, in LA. He is an attorney, believe it or not. Guess he is the same sort of lawyer that Obummer is. And the name Shabazz, which is the family name of the daughters of Malcom X. Malik supports the man who had Malcom X assassinated, Louis Farrakhan. His organization, the NBPP, New Black Panther Party, is an offshoot, primarily, of the Nation of Islam, not the old Black Panther party. They support the killing of white people. Read “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by William Shirer. It is an excellent book by a real journalist who was an observer to most of the things that happened in Germany before the war(he lived in and reported from Berlin), and much of what happened during the war, and delineates exactly how Hitler got control of the minds and bodies of the German people, especially the young. The reaction of the German people to Hitler is very similar to the reaction of many Americans to Obummer. Blind worship with no critical thinking. Then they followed him to destruction, willingly and blindly. Now, of course, they blame it all on Hitler. Not one of them takes responsibility for the things the German people did in Hitler’s name. Even though they are the ones who actually carried out his agenda. Willingly and blindly.
