testing: my earlier post went astray so I will try again. See if I can remember my artful prose:)

Tabloid jouralism is rife and like untreated effluvia will tend to contaminate a society.

My point was we have better and more important issues to deal with than l)John Edwards and 2&3)
John Edwards--his hair, his affairs, et al.

The U.S. House just passed HR 2554--without reading it, without discussing it, without filibustering it.
It is the economic equivalent of the abominable
PATRIOT ACT. It's reach/power grab represents a new high in arrogant elitism or a new low in avaricious
cynicism--depending on your viewpoint.

Personally, I could care less about Edward's self destructive lifestyle. I suppose dealing with a terminal health issue in a spouse would unhinge many a man or woman. I feel sorry mostly for Elizabeth and the children, who are victims of our lust for
vice, sex and intrigue. Who will throw the first
stone?

We should be focusing on the slow dissolution of our Constitutional rights, not John's hair. It took a million years to design that noble instrument of governance and only a few generations to bring it down. Yet we allow the manipulators of public information to aid and abet, diverting attention from real problems. And they are legion. Grow up, America!

Tabloid journalism, like untreated effluvia, trickles down into cultures bringing unhealthy contaminants.

The U.S. Congress has just passed another boodoggle
bill that can be compared to an economic PATRIOT ACT
power grab. Neither piece of legislation was read,
reviewed, debated, filibustered on the floor of the House; yet someone somewhere wants to make these Draconian regulations law of the land.

And it occurs that these same manipulators of public opinion don't want us to dwell on the slow dissolution of our Constitution. It has taken a million years to craft such an instrument of governance and a few generations to destroy it.

I don't give a damn about John Edwards at this point in time, though I sympathize with his wife, Elizabeth. She and her children are victims of American lust for hype and intrigue.

Don't buy the tabloids' pitch, their over-the-top disinformation. Do buy into the idea that we have problems crying out for our engagement. Then get involved in unseating the power structure feeding pap and unholy infotainment ritually, instead of hard news needed to make informed decisions.

Where did i say the article said Obama knew about the affair?

It's called opposition research. If you think these guys didn't investigate each other, you are crazy. Do you recall helicopters decending on Alaska by the Obama team when Palin was picked? A couple people in the media were whispering about Edwards early on. National Enquirer wrote about it a few times. People knew about it, no one would report it. Just like Hillary knew about Wright, and Ayers, etc.

RRReverend Amy, I think you are correct that Hillary and Bill talked about the caucus problems briefly, but, like you say, the group that would have investigated it, the DNC, turned a deaf ear and blind eye - hearing and seeing nothing. The caucus fraud was part of the master plan. Remember it was later reported here by some of the NQ regulars from Washington State as well as other states how Donna Brazile went to their state trying to persuade them to have caucuses instead of a primary. They had the caucuses in Washington state, but they also had the planned primary that *didn't count*. Guess who won the caucuses by a much larger margin than the primary vote, per Lynette Long?

I'm sure Hillary and Bill recognized early on they would have no support from the vocal party leadership. Early in the game, Nancy Pelosi and all those supporting BO since his 2004 convention speech, Howard Dean & the DNC probably looked like they were merely trying to stay neutral when in actuality they were working feverishly behind the scenes for B0. They controlled a huge portion of the message. Even when they were not overtly endorsing 0, their statesments were favorable to him and never to Hillary. They mentioned Hillary on a needs-to-know basis only. They surely were not going to indict their selected candidate no matter what he or his 3 or 4 campaigns did, including their own. The caucus fraud was Dean's brainchild anyway. Had he gotten off of Square one in 2004, he would have used that strategy.

Rham Emanuel did not endorse 0 until late June 2008, but does anyone doubt the Democratic Congressional Committee Chair from Chicago, no less, was sitting on his hands until that time? He along with Pelosi and no telling who else made sure they did their part to 1) win the 2008 presidential election as well as keep a majority in both houses of congress & 2) make sure the POTUS would be B0.

Regardless of who was supporting Hillary at that level, they had no voice. It appeared Hillary had minimal support among the Super Delegates. Most of them had been paid off in 2007 with B0's first fundraising efforts (orchestrated by Nancy Pelosi) that gave mega bucks to their campaigns.

where does this artcle say Obama knew about the affair??? it doesn't. it clearly says 'before edwards owned up to the affair, he told Young that Obama said he would make him AG IF he didn't pick him for VP. why do you assume Hillary or Obama knew about the affair???

you people sure get off on knowing everything about Obama and Hillary - yet your comments show you know NOTHING. its all your assumption-of what will make Obama look bad and Hillary look good.,

That reminds me of a scene in "Cheers" where Carla is trying to explain her son and his dad (Nick Tortelli), to the son's girlfriend. She tells the bewildered girl,
"Tortelli men draw women like flies.
Tortelli men treat women like flies.
Tortelli men's brains are in their flies."

Usually someone isn't conscious that they are projecting. I think these guys teamed up against Hillary and did it very consciously. So, to me, it's not really projecting, it was more like conscious re-direction, and simply dirty pool!

Fran, if memory serves, I think Hillary DID protest the caucus fraud, but the DNC blew her off. (That's the short version - I would have to go back and watch it again, but I think the documentary, "We Will Not Be Silenced" mentions it, too...)

But I agree she would have been SO trashed had she brought it up. It would have become all abt HER and Edwards would somehow be let off the hook...

Mark, you obviously know n o t h i n g about how the "game" of politics is played. The ONLY reason the republicans wanted Bill Clinton to stop lying and tell the truth was so they would have more reasons to kick his ass harder, aka, SC Governor Sanford. Did it help Sanford to "let it all hang out??" Obviously some republican got to him and tried to teach him the lessons Bill Clinton failed to learn. Doesn't look like it's working for Sanford any more than it would have worked for Clinton. The less said, the better.

The "cozying up" happened at the debate where Edwards aligned himself with B0 and then proceeded to go after Hillary with gusto. Naturally, 0 loved that because John was doing the heavy lifting and 0 looked clean as a Rabbi - 0's favorite way of doing everything.

If I could have gotten to Edwards that night, I would have been arrested.
