He and his family should worship wherever they want. If they've decided upon the relative seclusion of the chapel at Camp David over somewhere they'd constantly be in the public spotlight, good for them. When I want to talk to my Creator I want the clarity and focus afforded by seclusion. I don't want the distractions of a social environment.

I keep thinking of one issue. Has he ever been baptized? I read that he was never baptized at Rev. Wright's church (the girls were). And you know his flower-child mother never had him baptized (my assumption). So if he chose not to be baptized at Rev. Wright's church, it must be becuase he didn't want to become a Christian. Baptism is the absolute basic requirement if you are a Christian.

I would love to see some media exploration of this issue, but I'm not holding my breath. I think it's highly significant.

Article 239 of the Honduran Constitution (Spanish and English):

Article 239: No citizen that has already served as head of the Executive Branch can be President or Vice-President. Whoever violates this law or proposes its reform, as well as those that support such violation directly or indirectly, will immediately cease in their functions and will be unable to hold any public office for a period of 10 years.

I agree with our constitution and theirs - I dont think everything should be up to a plebiscite.

Have a nice day.

The President of Honduras was perhaps overstepping his authority in seeking to hold a special election in which the people would decide if he could run for another term.

JoezAL, your point is well taken. The Hondurian Constitution states that only the Congress can authorize by two thirds majority to amend the Constitution. It is also my underestanding that within thier Constitution there are several articles that can not be amended.

Title VII, with two chapters, outlines the process of amending the constitution and sets forth the principle of constitutional inviolability. The constitution may be amended by the National Congress after a two-thirds vote of all its members in two consecutive regular annual sessions. However, several constitutional provisions may not be amended. These consist of the amendment process itself, as well as provisions covering the form of government, national territory, and several articles covering the presidency, including term of office and prohibition from reelection.
.

He acted unconstitutionally So thier The Honduran Supreme Court says to him no dice
He flips them the bird.
What is the sworn obligation of the Honduran military? Many who our country has trained? Oh to protect and defend the constitution...(you know the rest.) Even allowing for the end result maybe distasteful and allowing for corruption.

So this where we part, respectfully.
What ever was going down in Honduras it cannot be viewed in isolation... There is a marxist trend in So America...which I am sure has not escaped you.
Ok?
Now just imagine that it was going down in the good ole' USofA...oops it has. It's called the Unitary Executive.
What's a military to do?

Speaking Emanuel there was a headline article yesterday on WH staff salaries. Rahm was at the top of the list. Now, why is this guy drawing a salary on the public dime? He's a BILLIONAIRE BANKER from Chicago. you'd think he would say, that's okay, I don't need the people's money, I just live to serve. It shows what crooks these people are that they take salaries they don't need.

OMG! I just read that Obama told "religious reporters" he gets daily prayers on his BlackBerry! The WH Minister of Faith (I kid you not, he did create this position and our tax dollars are paying for the man to have an office in the WH and a fat salary) sends Obambi daily prayers.

Why do we not hear outrage from the Democrats on this? When Bush created the Faith Based Initiative all the people who support Obama nearly had a meltdown.

According to AP, he has a serious problem this weekend. Twenty little girlfriends of his daughter, Malia, will be at Camp David to celebrate her birthday.

They also reported he has a problem with the White House pastry chef. "Whatever pie you like, he will make it and it will be the best pie you have ever eaten," Obama said. "And so, we are having to figure out how to resist ordering pie every night."

And it that isn't enough there is another more serious problem: Before interviews, his aides constantly want to powder his nose and forehead to get rid of the shine. He said, "I find that quite irritating."

And here you are Rev Amy, poking fun at this poor man. See what he has to deal with?
