Who’s The Feminist?
By Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy on July 6, 2009 at 10:01 PM in Current Affairs, Education, Feminism, Greta Van Susteran, Linda Anselmi, McCain/Palin 2008, New York State, Sara Palin
Recently, my fellow NQ writer, Linda Anselmi, found this article, which she kindly shared with me. It is quite an interesting take on why some women are so threatened by, um, no, wait, that’s not how the author, Ann Marlowe, would phrase it. More for her, why they don’t like her, as the title, “Why Elite Women Hate Palin,” would indicate.
Ah, yes, right off the bat, it sets the stage, doesn’t it? Uh, yeah:
“If Sarah Palin is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency, so am I!”These words spoken by my friend Janet were true. But Janet hasn’t put herself in Palin’s position by running for office. She’s made films and renovated houses, cushioned by inherited money. And since she doesn’t have any kids, it’s hard to say what would have gotten in the way if she’d wanted to be in politics. She didn’t, though, any more than 99% of my women friends and acquaintances; she believes in cultivating one’s own garden.
Most women I’ve talked with about Palin–all certified members of either the media elite or the just plain elite–take her nomination personally. Their animus isn’t explained just by her politics; none of them hate Condoleezza Rice, though they disagree with most everything she’s done. Nor, for that matter, do they even dislike John McCain. Typically they “respect” McCain but find him too old or too erratic or simply adore Obama.
It’s as though Palin were an average girl from their boarding school class–or, frankly, from the public school down the road–who unexpectedly won a big prize. “Why not me?” is the subtext, and it’s one I’ve never heard from men talking about male politicians. Many New Yorkers hate George Bush, for instance, and say similar things about his and Palin’s lack of intellectual capability and curiosity about the wider world. But they don’t view him as a personal rival. My friends who hate Palin are all more articulate and better educated than she is, better traveled, probably smarter, definitely more fun to talk with. But the reasons they can’t stand Palin are all wrong.
I think it is safe to say that by “elite,” the author means: sanctimonious, classist, arrogant, snobs. And I would have to say, after reading the above about the author’s friends, I guarantee you, I would rather hang out with Sarah Palin ANY DAY of the week, despite our differences on policies. At least SHE is open minded, willing to engage in dialogue, and can appreciate the differences between people without feeling compelled to put them down at every opportunity. So, yeah – despite my own educational background, or how much I have traveled, blah, blah, blah, I’d rather have a cup of coffee with Gov. Palin any day of the week, thank you very much.
Oh, but wait, you know there’s more:
It’s not so much that Palin isn’t one of our own–an Ivy League type, or an Eastern preppie, or a self-made intellectual like Rice. It’s not for the fake feminist reasons that “she’s against freedom of choice” or “she didn’t tell her daughter about birth control.” (Though there is an element of hatred for her fertility, and the fact that it hasn’t impeded her rise.) It’s not because Palin only got a passport a few years ago and doesn’t speak any foreign languages. No, it’s because Palin makes us look like the slackers we mainly are. We’ve had our bit of success, but we’ve also spent a lot of time smelling the roses. We’ve gone back to school to get another degree, volunteered in poor countries, devoted ourselves to a sport or a hobby. We’ve not had kids, or if we have, we’ve had one or two, and we’ve had nannies paid for by our work or our husbands or our inherited money.
We not only have had passports for decades, we’ve put serious mileage on them. We’ve lived overseas or spent months wandering around Africa or India, we understand foreign people and places in ways Palin never will–and yet it’s she who could become vice president, not one of us.
Wow, even in this explanation, that these women are “slackers,” she STILL manages to put down Palin at every opportunity. It doesn’t seem like HUMILITY was one of the lessons learned “wandering around Africa and India,” or for those who “volunteered in poor countries.” I might add, nor did they seem to get a clue about their over-inflated sense of self, or how they got to where they are on the backs of other people, so yeah, let’s just go with they are “slackers. ” Just sayin’.
Ms. Marlowe continues, again in her “elite” way, to describe why certain people pursue these avenues, like Gov. Palin has:
It’s not hard to see why. The boyfriend of one of my freshman roommates at Harvard is now governor of Massachusetts–a man no less and no more qualified than many of my classmates. Why him and not us? As with Palin, it comes down to wanting it badly enough and being singleminded. It means spending a lot of time in deadly dull meetings talking about school bond issues or where to put a new off-ramp.It means spending a lot of time in small towns where no one you know has a country place or ever will. And except at the higher reaches, politics doesn’t offer much in the way of glamour or fame. I just got my absentee ballot here in New York City, and I didn’t recognize the names of the people running for Congress. (Jerrold Nadler or Grace Lin, anyone? Nadler has been the congressman from New York’s 8th District since 1992, and Grace Lin is a 24-year-old graduate of the University of Chicago whose previous experience is as a committeewoman for a Chicago ward. While her chances of victory are nil in this district, her Web site is frighteningly sketchy on the issues.)
People who become writers and intellectuals and artists tend not to want power that badly or pursue it that obsessively, which is what makes us interesting and fun–and makes few of us household names. Success at the Palin level in politics or business takes a level of blinkered self-confidence that comes mainly to (a very few) men. A lot of the people with this quality are annoying to be around. Maybe they aren’t very happy with themselves. But it’s not a surprise that a vice presidential nominee should be one of them.
The lesson of Sarah Palin for privileged women is to try harder. And that may be the toughest one to hear. (Ann Marlowe is the author of How to Stop Time: Heroin from A to Z and The Book of Trouble: A Romance.)
Holy cow, what an incredible back-handed “compliment,” if it can even be CALLED that. Ms. Marlowe claims writers, intellectuals, and artists don’t want power? For real? They don’t want to be household names?? That’s bullshit. I’m sorry, but that just is. What writer, intellectual, or artist does NOT want for people to know about their work, to know their names?? If they didn’t care about any of that, they would all write/pain/”think” under pseudonyms or something (okay – that’s a bit of hyperbole, but you get the point, right?). Again, she cannot stand to say anything that is just positive about Governor Palin, and let it stand at that. The essence of what she is saying is that Governor Palin worked hard to get to where she is. She IS college-educated, as was her dad, a teacher, and her mother worked as a school secretary (and go check out who some of her New England ancestors were, since Ms. Marlowe seems to be all about the East Coast). She has stood up to her own party, called them out on ethical reasons, and while she may not have spent her summers in Monaco or Martha’s Vineyard, she has done quite a bit on her own, like running for governor – and WINNING.
And Sarah Palin is a feminist, who cares more about building women up than tearing them down (talking to you, MS. Marlowe), as the following video highlights so well:
THIS is what a feminist looks like, not what the East Coast Liberal “elite” determines are feminists. No, Feminism is meant to include ALL women, whether we all agree with each other or not. One thing about which Ms. Marlowe is correct is that Governor Palin worked HARD to get to where she is, and many other women have worked as hard to get to where they are, or to keep their heads above water. Not everyone wants to be a public figure. Some just want to be able to fed, clothe, and educate their children, and cannot afford a nanny, a maid, or a chauffeur – many of them ARE the nannies, maids, and chauffeurs. I might add, since Marlowe mentioned this too, freedom of choice means just that – the right to CHOOSE. And that means a woman can choose what she wants to do with her own body. Palin CHOSE to have her Downs Syndrome child; other women might not have. But that is each and every women’s INDIVIDUAL choice. Sheesh, already!!
That is to say, when Ms. Marlowe puts down women like Palin, she is putting down a whole bunch of other women who have worked hard to be self-made women. Since Marlowe brought up “fake feminism,” I would suggest she has engaged in a bit of that herself. Feminists need not all be “elites” – the whole point of feminism is for ALL women to be self-actualized, however that looks for THEM, as I have said befoer.
Oh, and one last thing – she and her friends may be “slackers,” but I think many women will look at the videos of Governor Palin talking with with Greta van Susteren while making food for her kids’ lunch as “same-o, same-o.” In other words, the dripping disdain with which Marlowe and her friends, the self-proclaimed “elite,” seem to hold Sarah Palin is probably why many other women like her – because she reminds them of themselves. They sure aren’t slackers, either. Perhaps if Ms. Marlowe and her well-heeled, Ivy-League educated friends opened their eyes, they would see a whole bunch of women, are working their hearts out every day – probably some of their very own employees.
Wow – it seems feminism sure has a ways to go before ALL women are actually included, doesn’t it? I have to say, though, Gov. Palin sure sounded a lot like Hillary Clinton in her desire for women around the world to live lives free of abuse, and full of choices.
Here’s a little thought for Ms. Marlowe and her “slacker” ilk – maybe you should get off your collective high horse, spend more time actually LISTENING to what Sarah Palin says rather than assuming she’s some hillbilly hick because she grew up in Alaska, who somehow fell into the Governor’s Mansion, or all of the unsubstantiated rumors/diatribes about her. You might just learn something about her, and about yourselves, too. Like maybe just because people are Ivy-Leauge educated writers, intellectuals, and artists, they are not above putting people down based on zero or erroneous information to make themselves feel better about what they have/have not done with their lives. And maybe, just maybe, you can start to see women like Sarah Palin, and all women, as potential allies as opposed to potential foes. Just a thought.

I will always believe the liberal elite hate Palin because they know her presence on the ticket would have defeated Obama if the economy hadn’t melted down. Palin was waaay more popular than Obama, but Americans thought they had to have a Democrat this time.
These are the same people who hate Hillary Clinton, so go figure. They hate anyone who threatens The One. I think Obama women also hate Palin because deep down they know it was time for a woman, but the Republicans had the chutzpah to put a woman on their ticket, the Democrats didn’t.
Thank you for hitting the nail on the head. This out-of-control hysteria baffles and amuses me. One man said McCain “should apologize for unelashing Sarah Palin on us.” Like Sarah Palin is Pandora and opened up all the ills that best the U.S.
Pandora in legend is wonderful. Why associaite her with bad things & especially failed things eg US economy.
Pandora brings hope.
What version of the Pandora story did you read?
The one that I’m familiar with puts Pandora in the same position as Eve (in the Judeo-Christian tradition), in that she’s held for all the woes of mankind. In Pandora’s case, it was her “female curiosity” that led her to open the jar (or box) containing all the evils, but shutting it before “hope” could escape. (A similar version has Pandora–the first woman–being a living embodiment of guile and that her appearance led men to their downfall. Given ancient Greek traditions regarding women, this isn’t all that hard to understand.)
I’d like to see some numbers that support that perception. Palin was a disaster from the moment she opened her mouth in an environment not carefully orchestrated.
This business of the attacks on Palin being sexist and coming from the “eastern elitists” is bull shit and Rice was disliked by progressives, just not as much as Palin. Anyone with an open mind should be able to understand why Palin was disliked so much. She opened her mouth and one thought “shrub has had a sex change.” In fact, Palin would have been more of a disaster than shrub was…that sure is saying something, isn’t it?…..She was just as uninformed, uninterested in any of the complexities of geopolitics and even national politics. She was worse than shrub by the fact that she lacked his pedegree. That gave him access to people who had operated in national politics since his grand father was part of a coup to overthrow FDR. While there was absolutely no chance of Palin being elected once she had opened her mouth, our nation dodged a bullet. You can rant all you want about feminism. Male politicians come in three varieties: The good, the bad and the ugly. Palin proves female politicians do too. She is the ugly, a politician who rose, through circumstances and drive to her level of incompentance and never saw an ethics law that applied to her.
You are aware, sir that the ethics charges….all of them were cleared on Gov. Palin?
I will let the others here slice and dice you and your various other disparaging comments.
Oh boy James! What mother raised you?
Poor James. Ironically your guy has turned out to be GWB III (i.e. perpetual war, Fisa, detention, corporatism, DOMA, etc.). And your guy can barely speak without a teleprompter. You Bots must be hating yourselves now for having been punked by the ridiculous figure who now occupies the WH.
James, I don’t believe you attended an ivy league school? Somewhere in KA, right? Hence, you are not a member of the privileged, elite nobility in the USA.
You may picture yourself as an intellectual, but I’ve yet to meet a dentist who qualifies. Therefore, you are part of the bourgeois Ms Marlowe and her friends hold in such contempt.
Sarah Palin will present her own case to the American people and the voters will decide. I’m not sure what you mean by “her level of incompetence”? Her approval polls were very high in AK prior to the election. Her state is economically sound, unlike many in the country. The population is small compared to CA, TX and other states, but it is rich in resources and an important component in energy independence.
Surely you know, James, the ethical complaints are bogus and political noise? The FBI made a statement affirming there is NO federal investigation and most of the other claims have been dismissed. She repaid money charged to the state for her children’s travel expense (it would be nice if Obama would pay the country back for the $800k pizza and the cost of using AF1 to take his wife on a date, but that’s another story).
The next election will be a referendum on Obama not Sarah Palin. The left wing of the Democratic Party is using the word, “polarizing”, to attack Palin. It’s like an echo of Republican charges against Hillary. These, along with the disgusting attacks on her family, are sexist and, in spite of Ms Marlowe’s insufferable pomposity, there are millions of women in this country who are angry and waking up to the fact we are still second class citizens.
Many do not have the advantage of “inherited” wealth, rich husbands or Ivy League educations (for what that’s worth). I would like to remind Ms Marlow and you of the French Revolution where the heads of the idle, dilettantes ended up for display on posts and in baskets.
If Ms Marlow was so disinterested in the welfare of others in her community she didn’t even know who to vote for in her local elections, she should keep her mouth shut or write about the latest debutant ball. That could be said for sexist dentists as well.
This is the problem with being an East Coaster – I miss all the fun!!
Excellent comment, Elise! Well said!
I might add, while we may not have liked3 Condileeza, NO ONE went after her with the vehemence with which they go after Palin. It is another apples/oranges comparison.
And Gianna, thank you – Peter Daou is a real champion for Hillary. He was great on her campaign and continues to highlight the sexism these two women have received.
Oh, hi James. Were you on holiday? Possibly back in troll school?
If so, hopefully your next troll training session will teach you about the use of whitespace.
Your bigwallofneverendingbadlywrittengramaticallyincorrectnonsensical text may detract from your message, if that is possible.
Ya know, if you substitute ‘Obama’ for ‘Palin’, and ‘he’ for ’she’ in your post, James – your post actually makes sense for once!
Well, I’d agree with you that Americans wanted a democrat this time, if the obama camp hadn’t cheated his way into the nomination and literally stole it from Hillary! I’m also convinced the Chicago Way of politics used the primary helped obama steal the WH too. Wall Street couldn’t afford the risk of either Hillary or Palin anywhere near the WH, because they couldn’t be trusted to do as they were told.
The writing is on the wall with all of the broken promises and obama flip-flops. Obama didn’t “win” anything, he was placed into the WH by the Wall Street elitists, who would spend any amount of money to guarantee the would be their new puppet. A puppet who would be willing to betray the American people and cover up their corruption, while bailing them out at the same time.
The thing about Palin is that she is not playing by their rulz and is, in fact, changing them. How dare this “hick woman” not do as she was told! She is the biggest threat to our corrupt government and that is simply because she is a true servant of the people, willing to speak the truth and not compromise her principles nor the best interests of the American people.
When was the last time we saw a politician with these qualities? It will be up to us to stand by her and not let them destroy the one person who could lead us out of this wilderness of corruption and greed.

I believe this is precisely WHY the economy ‘melted down’. Despite the advantage of nearly a billion in mostly illegally gotten campaign ‘donations’, a complicit lapdog press and a lying-dog DNC pulling every possible string for Obiteme, he still couldn’t drag his own sorry ass over the line. Fauxbama was plummeting in the polls all summer after stealing the nomination from Hillary – while she, of course, was blamed for his mediocre showing.
He was tanking even before McCain announced Palin as his running mate. After that, Republicans were energized and the thinking, patriotic half of the Democratic Party was demoralized. Nothing helped Obama – not even his fucking Greek God temple. The only way that piece of shit could get rammed into the White House was the out-of-the-blue ‘economic meltdown’ – purposely engineered primarily by Goldman Sachs and the Fed, I think, and the people who pull their strings. Not too difficult to do the math here.
Thanks for bringing this article to my attention. It is spot on.
Also read this recent article by Peter Daou on the bashing both Clinton and Palin have received.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/peter-daou/palin-bashing-and-hillary_b_226518.html
What is also interesting are the comments. Some who refer to Clinton bashing defend their bashing because she was running against their Messiah, Barack Obama. And of course virtually all comments about Palin are HATEFUL. Wow, Dems really paint themselves in a bad light with these comments. That’s why I am not a Democrat until the cancer of Obama is excised from the party.
and the Hillary lovers do not pile on the hate to Obama? You don’t bash Obama because he ran (and won!) against your heroine Hillary??? why are you all so one-sided? Obama may have had it easy with the media, but he was pillared left and right by bloggers for a year straight – and most of it was pure lies. please spare me the hillary as victim BS. Enough already – Obama got his too as is evidenced by the hateful statements on this site DAILY.
Palin was attacked because of who she is – her family did not deserve it, but she sure did. and she was NOT more popular than Obama – what are you reading to get that notion?
the thing is you obots will never accept because your koolade soaked brains cannot let truth in is he did NOT beat hillary…. she won the primaries you asshole, there is plenty of evidence of that, and most HRC supporters I know are never going to accept a lying cheating corporate controlled chicago thug as their president.
The thing you Hilarybots will never accept is that SHE LOST THE PRIMARY. She lost. Lost lost lost lost lost. Get over it already; whining isn’t going to make her win.
You know how I know she lost? Because she admitted it, went to work for Obama, and never made any acusations that she was cheated. She got over it, why can’t you?
Palin certainly had the potential to rival Obama’s “popularity” – the media and Obama’s thugs made sure she was squashed by their propaganda machine before she could take flight.
People often trace their love for Obama back to his keynote speech at the Dem o4 convention. I too listened to that speech and was moved. Sadly, there was no there there after this auspicious debut.
So it was with Sarah Palin. She hit it out of the park with her convention speech last summer. The Obots recognized the Messiah could be threatened and by someone – a gun toting, pro life female from ALASKA no less.
Obama has reduced every STAR in both parties to nothing. (Think: Invisibility of Hillary.) His ego and that of his sycophants who fabricated this “product” and sold him to the American people will not allow this Novel of Obama’s life authored by David Axelrod not play out.
We unfortunately have to wait for the final chapter to unfold.
As a free citizen, I do not do what I’m told. I do not blindly follow media memes about our politcians, celebrities, issues or anything else. I do my own research and reach my own conclusions.
I have concluded that Sarah Palin is a fine woman. Period. She has been smeared by the media in ways that I never believed possible post-Hillary. Therefore, she has gained my sympathy beyond my affinity for her as person which began with her convention speech last summer.
OTOH, Obama has yet to knock it out of the park. You can look at him from any POV you choice and you still come up short whether it’s how he won the nomination, or how he is handling the economy.
He is dismantling America with his policies and tactics. Sarah Palin is an anti-hero. I stand with her.
As far as the ‘victim’ thing goes: Who played the race card? And,
Isn’t it possible there are real victims amongst us? People who have been treated as harshly and unfairly as Sarah Palin and her family deserve righteous support.
What is the true meaning of a liberal? Coming to the aid of the disadvantaged, the smeared, the castigated — the unfairly accused — is a basic tenet of our culture.
I will not be small to make you big — We are asking Sarah Palin to be small. That’s not good enough.
An excellent read.
Ellen,
You are confused. Inherent in the word “WIN” is the understanding of a level playing field and rules that are adhered to. In the case of election we call the rules “LAWS”.
You Obots did not even vet the guy – smeared – Hell NO – Soros bought off the MSM.
And you adoring youngsters thought it was a cool game of “American Idol” and voted thusly.
Did you know Obama did not end up paying for either his condo or Home? Were you aware of the fact that over 100 people froze for 5 weeks in the buildings Obama handed over to his buddy Rezko? Have you any concern for the 52 people in Obama’s neighborhood forced to move to the slums of South Chicago so one of his contributors could have the contract to remake those homes into boutiques?
How much do you know about Meanshell and Valerie Jarret’s participation in the corrupt way “housing” contracts were handed out by Daly’s City Hall? Of course Meanshell and V. Jarret then went into the patient dumping business at Univ. of Chicago Hospital and even hired Dave Axelfraud’s PR firm to help them call these criminal actions “Community Health”.
There is so much, that Michael Jackson would be redeemed if their crimes were compared to his.
While I do not agree with all of Sarah Palin’s positions, she is the real deal. Not only would I vote for her, but I would work my heart out for her.
Want proof – go read about your Frauds reception in various foreign countries. No, not the infantile American Press – try the English, French, German and ME press to get the real scoop. Australian papers also tell it like it is.
Did you not ever wonder why Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, and even Nancy Pelosi, were warmly welcomed in country’s that practice Sharia law, and yet, The WH has been told that Meanshell can not come to those country’s with Barack? Think about it, and observe what’s happening. Turn down the damn volume on the TV, and just look and watch. You may just learn something.
Obama is the most divisive President we’ve ever had – by race, gender, sexuality, class, age and ability.
He’s the most polarizing too. By appeasing both sides, he polarized the left and right, moved the Overton Window rightward and the country has more conservatives than before.
The left should STFU about Republicans. There’s no need to talk about Republicans. It’s all Obama. By reaching out to the Right, he’s made Republicans viable again. The left should just get Obama to be progressive himself. Obama chooses to be conservative because as we said he is a conservative by nature.
he’s polarizing because he’s done nothing but lie and backstab.
Well, tut, tut, tut. What a thoroughly smug, offensive tone this woman has taken. And who the hell is she? If this is the voice of feminism or is indicative of what NOW considers the “new voice” of the movement, their membership will stay in the toilet, deservedly so.
This woman is almost comically insufferable. The elite? Elite snobs. And this is what passes for intellectual honesty and analyses?
What a pathetic joke.
Right you are. Further, the position of NOW is that women are one-issue voters. If you are not pro-choice, you can never be a feminist. What happened to NOW fighting for equal pay? Women are still earning 78 cents on the dollar. WHat about an end to domestic violence and other forms of abuse?
Even Sarah Palin said she wanted to sit down and find common ground on this issue. While I am certainly pro-choice, I have always been with Hillary on this one: “safe, legal and rare.”
I have a big problem with elitism, too — oddly enough — Hillary and Bill were always considered middle class –when they were first elected, someone I knew said “the Campetts take the White House.” Hah. We should be so lucky.
Can you imagine — these two were not patrician enough, great intellects that they are. So of course they despise Palin — anyone plain spoken who cuts through the crap is not permissible. — Especially since she cut through the myth of you know who like a hot knife going through butter.
Amen, sister!!
“Comically insufferable”, perfect.
It reminds me of an old comedy line by wanna-bes “I used to know that.”
Sort of like “We could do all this stuff if we wanted to”.
I especially liked:
Oooo I’m interesting and fun!!!!
They also hated her because she wasn’t an elitist snob but one of us. She didn’t cozy up to their likes (read: kiss their arses), either, which was a snub those powder-puffs couldn’t live with. How dare she not suck up to those who are the best of the society and the cream of the crop? They were pissed because she didn’t lick their over-polished boots. She saw them for what they are-overbearing snobs.
-How dare she not suck up to those who are the best of the society and the cream of the crop?-
The “best” of society and the creme de la creme are beginning to seem incestuous and inbred in ideas. Same ole same ole point of view, same rehashed thoughts – hemophilic, sickly, and feeble in creativity and solutions.
Good diagnosis.
Ferd
Exactly–and isn’t it bizarre that the same elites, liberal minded as they are, who go on and on about taking care of the least among us through healthcare, welfare, charities, etc, are the same Ivy Leaguers who don’t want someone who is not one of them(a middle class mother of 5,a self-starter)to succeed. They don’t want to share the power or the limelight or even admit that success can happen to someone who didn’t have connections or a PR firm. So they trash Palin and in trashing her they show that they really don’t want anyone to succeed outside their own circles–in short they are frauds, phonies with all their lip service to having compassion for the less fortunate. Yeah, as long as they don’t move into our neighborhoods. Elitist bigots who suffer from one of the seven deadly sins when someone outshines them-Envy.
Amy wrote: “No, Feminism is meant to include ALL women, whether we all agree with each other or not.”
Please turn in your NOW card, you are no longer a member. Feminism is what Maureen Dowd and others of her ilk say it is. Kinda like Obama’s healthcare “plan.”
LOL – done!! Clearly, NOW is not what it was all those years ago when I first joined. The need to get back to the roots of their origin, IMHO.
And Ellen D, you ARE fun and interesting!!
They hate anyone – especially another woman – that threatens the status quo.
It’s one thing to say you want equality for women and quite another to actually follow through on that. Too many will jump on the band wagon because it’s popular all the while checking out what brand of handbag the woman next to them is carrying.
It’s time for a woman to be in the highest office. That’s unavoidably true. But, face it, Hillary wasn’t angry enough at Bill and Sarah is the beautiful girl that made the rest of us feel dumpy and unloved. The female scale of popularity and support for other women is a strange riddle at best.
Until women can channel a little Alice Paul instead of the likes of Maureen Dowd, they will continually shoot themselves in the foot.
PS: What is the pathological spew regarding Sarah Palin’s “fertility?” The last few articles I’ve read had comments about Palin’s ability to bear children as if that too were an egregious sin. Is this jealousy or are serious women, particularly those in the public eye, suppose to be dry and barren, shriveled up prunes?
Sounds positively archaic.
I think we’re headed backwards instead of forward.
Could be they are jealous that Sarah is getting some action. Just sayin’
Well, that made me laugh, Buzz!
Perhaps they feel threatened because Palin has never chosen abortion. What good is having that choice, if you chose not to chose it? (Hey, Maureen D., maybe I can ghost write some of your stuff for you when you are on vacation.)
Yes, she is most definitely better off staying at her 4 or 5 star hotels whilst going out and charity-upping the natives in some other country.
-there are many different kinds of feminism-
There is a good book, Feminist Thought by Rosemarie Tong, that does a very good job of detailing the differences.
I despise these women who constantly harp on supporting women yet it has to be a woman who has only their views, their politics, their party, their side of town, their feelings and loves THEIR President. Let’s call these women what they are – hypocrites of the first order. Taylor Marsh comes to mind – have you seen her horrible Palin columns lately? I don’t know how she looks in the mirror.
good post.
Well said, Ginger – perfect comparison.
And they caught the guy, btw – he had a rap sheet a mile long and just got out of prison in April.
Even here in the West, we have elitist women, Their blood may not be as blue or their inheritances so large, but their heads are as big, so to speak. They’ve bought into that almost Victorian notion about what it takes to be the “right sort of people.”
I lost respect for several “friends” when Palin first came on the scene. As I’ve said before, I really felt they were mocking my sister, cousins, aunts and grandmothers.
My older sister is 63 and still competing in barrell racing and could run a cattle ranch alone if her husband died, for instance. I can’t imagine what Ms Marlowe would say about her.
The thing about Palin that most offended another was that (big gasp here) she has five children. And doesn’t everyone know that you can’t raise more than one (as she had) or two right without freeing up your work schedule a little because your husband makes enough.
She changed her reason for objecting to so many children quickly to “well I’m just thinking of the environment and the population explosion” when I pointed out that one of my grandmothers had eight, one had six, one great aunt had fourteen and one had twelve, and my own mother had four–as did many of my aunts. AND, I can’t name any relative who got in trouble with the law.
Those women have convinced thrmselves that all other women envy their spoiled, sometimes vapid lives, they can’t stand to find out it isn’t true.
Sorry if you’ve read this before from me. There are some things I disagreed with Palin about, and my sister can drive me nuts with some of her opinions. But…I know they’re smart and I know they’re capable of perhaps more than any man.
Those women have convinced thrmselves that all other women envy their spoiled, sometimes vapid lives, they can’t stand to find out it isn’t true.
I think that is hammer, nail, BANG! right there.
Venus envy!!!
Diana, she seems to have forgotten Nancy Pelosi has five children.
Something strange happened tonight on NBC evening “news”: Andrea Mitchell, who yesterday insisted on hammering on the words “quit”,”quitting”,”quitter” (for Dems elite doing the same thing she would use “stepping down”)did a piece on Palin that was almost…dare I say it?… RESPECTFUL. I think that since the punditry and O croonies have officially declared this the end of her political career, she feels Sarah is not a threat to her Prez anymore. But it was strange to hear even handed commentary (only one Alaskan couple interviewed declared they had voted for Sarah and were disappointed she didn’t finish her term) from NBC.
Quitter? She was sexually harrassed by the left by the most sexual violence I’ve seen in the past 18 months. Moreso than against the Clintons. The netroots/Third Wave committed more violence against women than they solved the problem of violence against women, one of their central fake causes.
…or this time, the overwhelming outrage over their treatment toward the Governor and her family was palpable and, if I am representative, on the record.
Ms. Marlowe has a stick up her butt.
I’ve had it with these chickens**t women and their 6th grade girl clique behavior looking down their noses at the “common” people. To paraphrase Abe Lincoln, “The Good Lord must love the common woman/man; he made so many of us.”
Sarah is one of us. That’s why we root for her. Whether we vote for her or not, we still root for her. Just like we do for Hillary.
Grow up, Women of America, and show each other some respect!

Here is here entire Las Vegas speech that I had the honor of attending. I had defected from the democrat party and was solidly behind the McCain/Palin ticket and I already liked Sarah. After she spoke I was so proud of her speech about women’s rights, I knew I had made the right decision. And to those women jerks who feel Palin is so beneath them, do they feel the same way about the Hillary Clinton supporters, huge supporters, who stood proudly behind Sarah Palin supporting her? Are they stupid women? I’m sure Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild would run circles around these wannabe elitist women.
I feel sorry for these poor excuses of women. Hopefully they will realize one day how pathetic they truly are. Its a d*mn shame!!
Not only is the woman dumb as a bell, but her husband is obviously calling the shots.
Having a Palin love fest, makes as much sense to me as the media hyping Michael Jackson to sainthood.
I don’t know what’s going on. This blog used to have a lot of good common sense. It’s gone off in the strangest direction.
Palin is a bit too conservative for my taste, but I never viewed her as dumb. Not for a moment. Perhaps she does not possess the grandiloquence of the great bamboozler Obama, and she was demonized and discomposed by the MSM and online obots … yet she never publicly flipped off her competition to the delight of a drooling audience. The woman is mature, and has class, unlike Obama. Oh, and unlike The One, she speaks with eloquence and adeptness when her teleprompter fails.
Obama’s so grandiloquent that he called Putin “President Putin” today, yeah he’s so lofty.
tminu
Yes and slipped up about where he met his wife(said it was ‘at school’ not at the law office) and couldn’t pronounce Medvedev’s name–kept messing it up; he looked out of it, tired and confused–and they bash Palin’s speech–this guy looks to me every day like he’s getting over a hangover or needs a cigarette real bad.And does anyone notice what a flat affect he has, he has a very depressed look on his face unless he smiles on cue when the teleprompter tells him to.
Good point. Some examples of Palin’s extemporaneous eloquence:
“Well, let’s see. There’s ― of course in the great history of America there have been rulings that there’s never going to be absolute consensus by every American, and there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So, you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but ―” –Sarah Palin, unable to name a Supreme Court decision she disagreed with other than Roe vs. Wade, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008
“All of ‘em, any of ‘em that have been in front of me over all these years.” –Sarah Palin, unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she reads, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008
“They are also building schools for the Afghan children so that there is hope and opportunity in our neighboring country of Afghanistan.” –Sarah Palin, speaking at a fundraiser in San Francisco, Oct. 5, 2008
“[T]hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.” –Sarah Palin, getting the vice president’s constitutional role wrong after being asked by a third grader what the vice president does, interview with NBC affiliate KUSA in Colorado, Oct. 21, 2008
“We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. … We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation.”
standard: You do not know what is going on?
Good. Stay that way.
The rest of us will continue to practice as we have for many months the craft and art of independant thinking….
NO MORE GROUP THINK…No MORE SHEEP HERDING…AND DEFINITELY NO MORE SHEEP HERDERS.
oh standard, really? she is dumb? whats your occupation? welfare? who’s the dumb one really?
I really liked Ross Douthats opinion piece in yestedays New York Times. Here are some parts that really reasonate with me:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/06/opinion/06ross.html?_r=1&ref=opinion
The last two paragraphs are the kicker. To me she represented the American dream for the majority of people from middle to lower income households who don’t have trust funds or super rich spouses, who attended state universities that they paid for themselves. She represented to me the pure belief that hard work, ambition, basic intelligence and tenacity makes you a success and allows you to achieve great things. It proved that you didn’t have to have a trust fund or graduate from Harvard Law School to truly succeed at a job very few people have achieved – governor of a state and possibly Vice President of America.
But all she achieved wasn’t enough for the haters because she didn’t have the economic background or academic pedigree so therefore wasn’t worthy to reach such high positions. If the white trash tramp from Alaska could do it, then what’s the use and advantage of having rich parents and an Ivy League degree or two? To maintain the status quo of the rich elite being the smartest and best, they have to marginalize anyone who threatens their position. Especially if she’s a woman.
Thanks for this, tango. I still don’t get why the MSM insist tha Obama’s upbringing was so lowly and mean. He went to the most elite private school in HI, after all!!! They act like his mother was asharecropper without a row to hoe, as opposed to being married to an oil man, and whose own mother was a bank v.p.!!
I reckon they’ll keep perpetuating that BS meme ’til the cows come home…
Good comment!
Very astute, “they” do feel threatened, they believe are better than the rest of us and that halogen light on their pathetic-ness sends them into a tailspin. I’ve read that state schools are as hard or more difficult to graduate from than private ones, they DO let a lot more studentse “in” and don’t charge nearly as much, but once in, they don’t give one shit if they sink or swim, whereas Hah-vahd etc. have a vested interest in assuring some “laude” after every graduate’s degree and push them through—jeez just look at Michelle!! She would not pass a state university’s English 101.
I’m sure if we pitted Palin v. Obama in basic civics, US history, world history, constitutional law, and basketball, she’d trounce him.
thank you, Rev Amy, well done! you nailed it.
By definition, a bell is not dumb, Standard. Unless it’s missing it’s clapper.
.
“Ann Marlowe” is probably Tracey Ullmann using a pen name. It has to be a sendup.
Great post! I’ve never seen that video before, nice!
Personally, I think these Palin hating women are nothing more than a bunch of bitchy Mean Girls who never grew up from high school. Listen to them – they still think they are the elite cool kids in school clique.
They hate Palin because she was the new kid in school, and she is pretty and people like her. Therefore, they hate her. That is exactly how they come off, and that is exactly what they remind me of.
The unattractive ones are taking out all their high school frustrations on her because she looks like the pretty girl in school that they couldn’t be friends with, and the attractive ones hate her because they act like the jealous girls in HS, and the *intellectual* ones hate her like they hated the popular pretty girls in school and looked down on the less intelligent ones.
That is completely how they act, to me. They can deny it all they want, and try to attack Palin on her intelligence, but that argument doesn’t hold water. Palin nailed her speeches – they elected Obama for his speeches. She has accomplishments you can point to – Obama doesn’t. She beat Biden in the debate – he has 35 years in the biz. She came across less than stellar in two interviews – that were edited to appear that way – Obama has made so many errors that his supporters have ignored. She had two weeks to ramp up – he had two years.
They are just plain old Mean Girls who never left the mentality of high school.
And all the others that followed suit are just being sucked into the Palin hating clique, because they want to be popular too. Look at what happens every time someone attacks Palin – they are in the spotlight – they are in the *cool kids club* for once.
It’s time they grew up. It is so pathetic to watch.

NICELY said, Sara – spot on!!!!
And Retired – thanks for the laughs!!
LOL AGI, you are right it is pathetic to watch.
The clique you mentioned is all too true. The writer here is pathetic and should be embarrassed that she wrote such self-serving drivel. How special she and her friends are. I’m sure after volunteering in Africa, they couldn’t wait to get to a spa to wash off all the poor cooties and talk about how they made a difference to those poor people. They are so wonderful. The real masses in this country are , how did Hillary put it, yea, “INVISIBLE”. We hear from these “elites” who cannot know what goes on in small town America. They can’t believe that people actually choose to live in small towns rather than a large metropolitan area. The country is for their summer homes, a get-away from the rat race of brunch and the theater. Give me a break. Thats what is the similarity between Hillary and Palin, they recognize the little people. The people that are the backbone of the country. Hard working and humble. They are invisible to these people. I can imagine the writer being friends with Caroline Kennedy planning the next fundraiser ball and choosing the theme for the year. They are so exhausted.
All these comments about Sarah Palin being “dumb” just make me laugh–do you all still think the earth is flat, too?
Here’s a woman who took on her own party’s corrupt alliance with big oil in her own state, beat them at their own game, and prevailed to become Governor of the state of Alaska.
You got to have some smarts to do that, not to mention being pretty damn brave.
So STFU. Because all you are doing is proving that Sarah Palin is smarter than YOU ARE on your best day!
Sarah Palin threatens many of the women I know. I have very good friends who are the well-educated, liberal Dems who have been so abusive to SP. I can’t even mention her name without one of them going off. That completely irrational and trigger sharp reaction is indicative of something in them that they don’t like and that they are projecting onto SP. I think it has a lot to do with her good looks, great figure and happy family. These women are, at heart, I believe jealous.
After all, the story was supposed to be that only those of us women–especially in the NE–who had our intellectual acts together would be successful. Many of the women I know who fall into this category are not happy. They have unsatisfying jobs and unhappy marriages in which they work themselves to death. They look at SP and they are sick with envy and jealousy. So, because she isn’t like them and is happy in herself and with her family, they have to tear her down. This is about them and the men with whom they have co-dependent relationships….It is SP’s success, good looks and personal happiness that drives them crazy. The rest of the “excuses” are just camouflage.
It is SP’s success, good looks and personal happiness that drives them crazy. The rest of the “excuses” are just camouflage.
- Basically.
The hardest thing to get some people to admit to is the obvious.
And what is paper success compared to a hot spouse, a beautiful home and great kids and grandkids anyway? Now those are real accomplishments.
I don’t agree with Palin’s policies either, but the amount of hate and venom directed towards her and her children is an eye-opener.
I thought those types of attacks were reserved for Arkansas folks like Bill and Hillary Clinton but geeez, I was wrong.
Elitism is the word.
And it’s amazing how Condi Rice was the right hand woman for the worst President we’ve had in a very long time, and even SHE doesn’t get this type of venom.
Now we are finding out that Jackie O for example, had an affair with her husband’s brother, but no ne would dare call her “slutty”. The Kennedy’s have so many drunks, accidental manslaughtering Senators, rapists, and now childporn watchers in their family, but the media keeps calling them our “first family.”
If the Palins or the Clintons hade those type of people in their family they would get run out of policits.
I said this on another thread, but I’m going to repeat it here:
Sarah gets the double whammy of both sexism and classism. It is as much her class status as her female status that makes them crazy.
For all their claims of being for “the little guy”, the left these days only really cares about the amorphous little guy that they can control and patronize. The poor in abstract are fine, because they can be graciously “given” support by the ever-so-enlightened creative class. The grateful poor are ever in fashion.
But blue-collar working people who really don’t want a damn thing from them but to be respected, left alone, and not gutted by the oligarchs? The ungrateful poor, who don’t give a rat’s ass for the benevolence of the Village, and may, perhaps, openly mock them? Them, not so much. Those people have to be destroyed, as they are fucking up the self-congratulatory savior complex of the elite. We ungrateful working class don’t look at them with shining eyes as they try to “elevate” us to their level, because we see them for what they are and say, “You know what? I really wouldn’t want to be you.” Horrors! How dare we!
I am an old-school classic liberal, for the most part. I do believe in “promoting the general welfare, in some degree of social safety net, in govt and policies that are helpful to “the little guy”. And I believe that one does that by actually consulting that little guy (novel thought!), and giving the average American a voice of his own. But this is not what the current Left believes – not really. Their approach is more of a “Sit down and shut up and allow ME to tell you how I shall help you, and give you a better America.”
Sarah flies in the face of every bit of that. She is not appropriately grateful, or appropriately cowed by their self-evident intellectual superiority. She is not ashamed of her state college roots, her working class sympathies, her hard and insignificant work in some podunk place that happens to be home. She is not ashamed of her averageness, and she is not ashamed of ours. She does not worship at the Shrine of The Benefactors of the Grateful Underclasses. She spits on their Ivy-league noblesse oblige.
Wrap all that in tits and a vagina, and she is their worst nightmare. Whether you agree with all her politics or not, she shines a light on the emptiness of their entire construct of who THEY are, and they just can’t stand it.
I’m no conservative, but I say GO, SARAH! That’s my sister, there. I don’t always agree with you, but I GET you. You are us.
Wonderful writing, IMHO.
Amber alert for Hillary Clinton?
Thanks for this, Doc99 – the writer makes a good point abt Clinton’s continued exclusion (and why I hope she gets the hell out of this administration before she loses all clout), but “Amber Alert”??? Clinton is NOT a child, after all. And not for nothing, but there ARE other alerts the writer could have used. Picky, I know, but he’s a law prof – he should be more careful with language…
Hillary became the Clinton “seal of approval” for Obama. That is all Obama wanted from the arrangement. Once you are done with Obama, it’s under the bus you go… or in the case of Hillary the back of the bus. A kinder and gentler fate… call it professional courtesy.
She is not ashamed of her averageness, and she is not ashamed of ours. She does not worship at the Shrine of The Benefactors of the Grateful Underclasses. She spits on their Ivy-league noblesse oblige.
great insight, WMCB!!
the Left has turned into an angry mob bordering on brown shirts…
So many good comments here. That Sarah Palin can get such support from across the political spectrum is in itself a strong endorsement of the woman’s character. Unlike quite a few of the commenters, I do agree with most of Sarah Palin’s conservative positions, including her strong-as-you-can-get, pro-life position. This woman has the courage of her convictions, which is such a rare, valuable quality in the politics of any time or place. I admire her and wish her and her family nothing but the best. As for Ms Anne Marlowe and her elitist, globe-trotting friends…maybe they can get together with Woody Allen and he can produce another one of his uplifting films based on their inspiring, cultured existence.
These women do not like Sarah Palin for a lot of reasons most I speculate do not even know they hold.
One of these may be that Sarah Palin represents what they have chosen not to do or could not do if they had chosen to do so: Palin has had children and a public life. Palin apparently managed to find a man that..fulfills what many so called feminists have promoted for years…one who supports his woman..can cook..take care of the kids and also make a living outside the home.
Oh..Oh…in other words..Palin appears to have created the very world that many of these women have asserted we as women have a right to live…
Palin embodies what many of these people called the rights of women…over the years…So…having encountered it…they seem not to be able to bear the results: What do they have to talk about now?
What can be said? Nothing except ….they dare not acknowledge what they either did not choose or could not get together had they attempted to do so…
These pusillanimous women can not bear the light that comes from Sarah Palin…someone who by many of their own wailings over the years…has it all!
I don’t think Palin was ready for a higher office and may never be—nor do I think Obama is ready either. I don’t agree with Palin on most issues, and Obama talks “real good,” but I don’t know what he really believes in. Jumps around too much. Words and deeds don’t match.
But, I think a lot of women were simply jealous of Sara Palin. She is really pretty.
Tricia: What does Obama believe in? That question is a little late isn’t it? Look at the over 200 + laws passed in not even 6 months and you will see what he and the Democratic Congress “believe in”…and whatever you conclude he believes in..you and others had better quickly start looking and protesting WHAT HE IS DOING …for that is what will dissemble this Repbulic.
Sarah Palin did more in her short time as Governor than this FRAUD Obama who continually has been reconstructed by his handlers in the pitiful small time he was in the Senate. ..
And if jealously is simply the problem with these women…then they are more pusillanimous than I had
first concluded.
Excellent observations. It is interesting that the thing that endears Palin to Americans… that she is a real person and that real person could be anybody.. even yourself. This is the exact thing that angers other Americans… that she could be anybody… even themselves. These latter folks prefer royalty for a leader. Somebody with an ivy league degree, a family pedigree and a media image. What does it say about Palin lovers that we dream that we really could have been President ourselves had we made that our life’s ambition? What does it say about the Palin haters who don’t even want the office of POTUS to be an attainable goal for somebody like themselves. I often wondered why the British held onto the royals. I think some people want to believe in royalty. Myself, I don’t believe in the entire concept of royal blood. I think everybody has the same right as the next by birth. But then again I am in the Palin lovers camp.

I Still Hate You, Sarah Palin
By David Kahane
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NDE3MmE5MDVmMGM1YjQ2NmVhMjJkN2I2ZTcxMzhlNjU=&w=MA==
After all your weeping, after all your backing of The Wasilla Quitter, President Obama will win re-election in 2012 and you will weep some more.
Rezko, Soros, Sarah, Hillary, PUMA, CIA guy with the worst hair-piece ever, all your silly conspiracy theories, and what Obama does is win.
A person does not even have to laugh at you people. You are the joke.
Palin would make a great No Quater Candidate: The Loser-Crybabies led by the Quitter Queen of The Crybabies.
Poor poor Sarah.
If she ever did get elected President, she would quit if Al Qaeda photoshopped her on their blog. It is just too easy to beat quitters and losers and self-pity-ers.
On behalf of Obama supporters: Thank You No Quarter! We could not win without you!!!!
tjproudamerican:
We’ll see… Just about everyone that I know of who voted for Obama is now profoundly disillusioned and believes that they were “gamed”. While I don’t believe that they would be ready to vote for Sarah Palin or Mitt the animal cruelty expert, they are hoping for some credible Democratic opposition. Obama is one major gaffe away from enabling that opposition; an opponent who may not yet even be on the national radar. And, as someone who lost a great head of hair as a known, but unexplained side effect of an operation, lay off Larry’s hair. At least the hair is there.
tjrpoudamerican
Sometimes ‘quitting’ is the most couragoeus thing to do–could you please tell your beloved BO that we would all really appreciate it if he resigned today if at all possible so that this country will have some money left in 8 years? I think anyone who can’t truly represent their constituents 100% should resign and that means the Dems and Repubs on the Hill who have sold us out. Go Sarah
From the content of your post, I see that you live on Planet Claire with the pink air, red trees, and immortality because you have no head.
The Obamas are raping and pillaging the American people. But that’s OK because we owe them. We are also trying to show them that we are not “mean”. Are you happy now Michelle? What else can we do to show that we are not racists?
There are legitimate reasons to dislike Palin. Discounting her outdated beliefs on sex & gender, there was her obliviousness to the outside world, her disregard for envirnmental concerns, her lack of curiosity, her claims to be tough and then reveal what incredibly thin skin she had, her rambling, incoherent answers to unrehearsed questions…the thought that this woman would be going around the world to represent us was a sick joke.
What I dislike most about her, though, is her attitude that small town, middle America is somehow the real America, that those of us on the coasts, in big, liberal cities, are somehow less American than her. That’s her form of elitism; it’s the elitism that says those who get the best education possible are nothing but academics, that those who think America isn’t perfect are traitors, that those who disagree with the conservative rural areas are less valuable citizens. That kind of elitism is just as insidious as the more “traditional” kind, and I think it’s more destructive, because it encourages people to settle for what they have, to not try to learn, and to all think alike. Palin would be a joke if she weren’t so repulsive.
Wow, are you off base. I have a Ph.D. dude, and I love Palin. She is light years ahead of Obama on all meaningful indicators of leadership and ability. For example, Palin has more executive experience in government than Obama. How about that? I know you hate to face this reality, but it’s the truth.
Palin is MUCH better and quicker on her feet than Obama. Without a teleprompter, Obama reduces to ums ahhs well umm you see mmmmm ahhh uhh etc. The guy is clueless, and doesnt even realize how easily we see through his Alinsky-style communism. He has made laughable mistakes giving this away when he has left his guard down. At that San Francisco fundraiser with Democratic high rollers, where Obama talked about angry and bitter Americans clinging to their guns and religion, well guess what? That line was right out of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. And when Joe the Plumber got him to admit that he is indeed all in favor of spreading the wealth–classic Marxist wealth redistribution garbage–he again let the cat out of the bag.
Obama is a disaster for this country, and let’s just hope and pray he will not finish a full term. However this happens, fine. The sooner the better.
I have always thought that odd considering he is supposedly a lawyer and all and graduating Magna… it doesn’t add up to the fact that he cannot speak off-the-cuff.
Talk about repulsive, you, Skanky Malankey, would gag a vulture; no self-respecting slug would cross your path; maggots would find another source of sustenance. How does that work for you, Skinky?
Also, it was offensive how McCain trotted out this woman in a desperate attempt to get Clinton voters. The fact that so many here fell for it shows that some people vote based on genitalia, not on issues.
Have a cocktail my dear, you are foaming at the mouth again.
You drip. You voted for your own self-interest and not for the good of the country. You got snookered by a con man and because you got snookered, anything you say only confirms that opinion. I’m surprised That One hasn’t fired you for cause since every time you post, you weaken his position.
skinny
Please go get BO to ‘quit.’ His approval ratings would go way up. Go Sarah.
