Obama speaks out against rushing things through Congress - complains that “nobody has any idea what’s in them and nobody has read them.”
BARACK OBAMA: …When you rush these budgets that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what’s in them and nobody has read them.
RANDI RHODES: 14 pounds it was!
BARACK OBAMA: Yeah. And it gets rushed through without any clear deliberation or debate then these kinds of things happen. And I think that this is in some ways what happened to the Patriot Act. I mean you remember that there was no real debate about that. It was so quick after 9/11 that it was introduced that people felt very intimidated by the administration.

In all honesty, it never worked for me and now it sounds like the prepostrous lie it always was. Or a resounding death knell.
Thanks for an important “history” lesson that I’m sure Obamatrons would like everyone to forget. But as they might say: that was then, this is now.

I quit buying it when he stole the *change* slogan from Hillary.
Do you remember that? She started off with Ready for Change, Ready to Lead, or something like that, and Obama came out with *Change you can Believe in*. That ticked me off. He not only ripped off her slogan (typical of him…using others words) but he was calling her a liar, mocking her in the process.
I liked him in 2004, at the DNC convention, but once I got to know him, no mas. God, I even said to my husband after watching that, “Wow, there’s our first African American President.” I could kick myself now. hahaa
I liked a number of the candidates early on, AGI. In fact, I remember saying to my husband: The Dems have a really, really “good” selection of candidates this year.
What a dope I was–Dobbs, Edwards, Obama, and of course, HRC.
The truth is there was only one real candidate, Hillary Clinton.
But yes, I remember hearing Obama’s speech at 2004 Convention and thinking, this is POTUS material, never entertaining the thought that he’d be in the lineup on the next cycle.

That, however, was a first impression. Looked a little closer and the cracks in the veneer began to show. And yes, the Obama team took Clinton proposals and slogans, selling them willy-nilly as their own. The difference being, she knew what she was talking about. They didn’t!

Well, here is the difference between a 14 pound Obama admin Cap N Trade bill (or a 14 pound Obama admin Health Care bill) and a 14 pound Bush admin budget: the Obama legislation has the tacit imprimatur of Thee One Himself, and so we know that it is righteous, sight unread. On the other hand, the Bush 14 pounder reeks of sulphur and brimstone,sort of like the Necronomicon.

Oh yes, but you see, those were 2 of 3 Obama Campaign themes.
The “Dumb (Iraq)War”…and the “injustices of the Patriot Act” was what he campaigned on for his US Senate Seat. But, as we saw, Obama is just words, he campaigned hard on those and gut much lip from The Black Agenda in Chicago when he was softening on that and applied to be one of the DLC’s “up and coming stars ‘to watch’” and removed his speeches (even then) from his website. H assured them, it meant nothing.
Until of course he made it to the Senate in 2005 and proceded to vote for the Reauthorization of the Patriot Act and voted to keep that “dumb war” going for 2 more years…until he was running for office again, this time the presidency.
Mr. Obama, all empty words. Who knew he would have brought us back so many years that he would signal again, he could be bought for so cheap.

To come out and make a statement like that and get voted back in well there is something wrong with the people that will put him back in to do nothing. How in the hell can they push something threw and expect us to agree with them if they don’t even know what the hell they are voting on.
I guess it should come as no surprise no one that Obama is a lying hypocrite. The question is: Why is he trying to rush this through right now. I just wrote about this today and a few other issues on the same general subject.
