Obama’s Desperation

Look where hurricane Bill is heading! Isn’t Obama heading to Martha’s Vineyard this weekend for his umpteenth vacation? I think he is the kind of guy who would be upset if it rained on his parade. On the other hand, he must be used to that by now, especially the rain on his health care insurance reform parade.

Seriously, Obama is looking for a Hail Mary pass. He had a conference call with the religious leaders on Wednesday about his health care insurance reform calling it a moral imperative. I found that really ironic. The moral imperative here is to do the right thing for the people, not make clandestine deals with the insurance and pharmaceutical industry. But the bigger desperation on Obama’s part is this, from Politico:
In a report sure to cause a stir online and on talk shows, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos reported on “Good Morning America”: “White House officials have talked privately about whether to use the Clintons more on health care.”
Former President Bill Clinton spoke in Pittsburgh this weekend to Netroots Nation, a huge progressive bloggers’ convention.
“There have also been discussions about whether to deploy Secretary of State Clinton,” Stephanopoulos said. “No final decision on that yet.”
This certainly takes the cake, doesn’t it? Why should the Clintons save the day for this incompetent president after he and his cronies including the media mangled their dignity during the Democratic primary and continue to minimize the stature of Hillary Clinton as SoS?
Just look at that picture of Hillary and visualize what could have been. After 8 years of Bush, we needed a really smart president, an analytical president, a gutsy president who would do the right thing because there was no other way to do it. We knew the times were tough and getting tougher. We needed a president who had principles, convictions and above all, the desire to do the right thing for every man, woman, and child of not just America but the world. She would do it because she had it all and had nothing to lose nor gain but to do the right thing. What a missed opportunity in this screwed up universe. They stole it from her and will now desperately seek her support for his ill conceived non-existent health care reform plan just as they forced her to swallow her pride and hurt during the general election campaigning for the incompetent crook. 2012 can’t come soon enough. But what is to happen then?
