Saturday, September 5, 2009 in the Sturgeon Bay Advocate was published a letter to the editor by Paula Cashin, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin.

Her plea was for our country to increase it's debt and fund health care for another government run program. Hummm. To sum up her long verbage let me say this about that.

Oh and let's not forget Biden's "To keep from going broke, we have to spend more money"??? Give me a break! I thought about Pauls's letter...

"Let me get this straight. Obama's health care plan will be written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it, signed by a president who smokes, funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that is nearly broke."

So you think health care is expensive now, just wait till it's free.

What could possibly go wrong?"

The HoPuff brings in another great work of reporting (snark) does anyone actually read their crap?

Rep. Joe Wilson Heckles Great Moments in History

snip

In heckling President Barack Obama, he not only ensured that a country that had pretty much never heard of him knew him as a hectoring lunatic better suited for the peanut galleries of health-care-reform town halls than the august body of the Congress,

Thank you thinker for the long and difficult road you took. I am sorry it took so long when you were doing the right thing. You were in those trenches and saw many people cut in.

Sucks when those seeking to come here do so while mocking our laws, where you followed them.

It is not right.

Glad you made it.

There are no yards in San Francisco. Clearly you've never been there. It's remarkable that you claim to know so much about it and its people despite that fact.

Barack Obama is a serial liar…..

I'm laughing AND sad at the same time.

What we have is the butt of a whole lot of good jokes for a POTUS.

Well, Zippo, I see you're back throwing out fire and heat again, bereft of any light. I take issue with everything in the statement. That One is arguing from a point of facts not in evidence--you know, dink, the fallacy of the unknown fact. I didn't like it when the bushbots did it and I like it even less when you obamabots do it. Somewhere in your house, there is a basement missing its troll. Better hurry along.

These are all the things that started happening as soon as Obama won the election. The dying part is in Afghanistan. What isn't true about that?

“Everyone in this room knows what will happen if we do nothing. Our deficit will grow. More families will go bankrupt. More businesses will close. More Americans will lose their coverage when they are sick and need it most. And more will die as a result. We know these things to be true.”

Talk about scare tactics.

So what isn't true about that statement?

It's the very truth of it that should scare us.

Headline in today's Monterey Herald: "Salinas: Boy, 14 shot to death. Teen is city's 22nd homicide"

"In 2008 there were 25 homicides in Salinas, of which 23 were gang related. All of this year's 22 killings are related to gang activity."

Looks like we'll break last year's record...3 months to go and lately we've had a shooting almost every week.

Bravo, thinker. My daughter-in-law is also a LEGAL immigrant. Having lived in London, Israel and Budapest, she too had to jump through hoops to come here. She had to obtain police clearance from each place she had lived and pay for the report in the currency of the country clearing her; mountains of documents. But our family wouldn't have had it any other way.

Our country will always have room for industrious, educated, smart people who come her LEGALLY. What we're drowning in are the illiterate, non-English speaking ag workers and day laborers. Those are the people who become desperate; standing around on street corners and who turn to theft and other crimes when they can't make it here.

As a registered Democrat from 1964 until May 31, 2008, I have often asked myself that same question. As for what I am now, I am a free thinking person who will do my own research in the future not letting party affiliation sway me one way or the other. Short term I will more than likely vote for just about anyone opposed to the Usurper's proposals and long term I will be voting strictly for whoever I think will be best for the US. Would love to see a viable third party evolve that is interested in the well being of the US and not of a specific party.
