ACORN employees in Baltimore were videotaped offering advice on how to set up a brothel, and how to handle 13 year old prostitutes. Glenn Beck covered this Thursday night, also interviewing the woman who posed as a prostitute.
Following the airing of the these videos ACORN issued this: ACORN Maryland board member Margaret Williams said the video was an attempt to smear ACORN, and that undercover teams attempted similar setups in at least three other ACORN offices.
Now there is a second video, from a different office, with different ACORN employees. This is the DC ACORN office.
This corruption was discovered by a brave 20 year old young lady. Can you IMAGINE the corruption that could be revealed if actual investigators looked into this?
How the heck is this an attempted smear? If it weren’t so pathetic, it would be funny how people think using their own words can be considered smears.

Boustany Calls for Hearing to Investigate ACORN Tax Filing Assistance following Disturbing Undercover Video
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., (R-Southwest Louisiana), today called for a hearing to investigate the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and their tax filing assistance programs following evidence of suggested tax fraud.
“In light of the apparent flagrant and willful attempts to suborn tax fraud, I ask you to schedule a hearing of the Oversight Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee as soon as practicable to investigate ACORN’s activities in providing tax advice and tax preparation services, as well as whether ACORN has conducted activities inconsistent with the requirements for retaining tax-exempt status under Code section 501(c)(3),” Boustany said. “These serious allegations involve the administration and enforcement of our Federal tax laws, which fall directly under the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Oversight.”
Boustany, Ranking Member of the Oversight Subcommittee for the House Ways and Means Committee, has jurisdiction over tax policy and the Internal Revenue Service.

Well you do know American girl, that the left already started smearing Boustany due to his opposition rebuttal to Obamas speech the other night? He is a cardiac surgeon & settled 3 malpractice suits in his 20 years of practicing so therefore he’s a quack incompentent liar and therefore not qualified to rebute anyone or anything per many Kool Aid drinkers.
So sadly, I don’t expect his call for an investigation to get much play other than negative comments from the same group who already smeared his professional reputation as a doctor.
That is the point to be made for tort reform. You don’t have to be negligent to be sued… anybody can sue anybody at anytime they want. There is no recourse to the loser… if these even go to trial. It is expensive to be right in court and doctors have no control how these suits are settled usually and they are settled out in the most cost efficient way. Sometimes that means paying out for suits that could have been won… albeit more expensively. No matter what people say, tort reform is needed urgently. Not just for doctors, but for manufacturers… for all of us.
And don’t forget who oversees the House Ways and Means Committee – Charlie Rangel. The very one who “forgot” to report HALF of his income.

UPDATE: ACORN Fires More Officials for Helping ‘Pimp,’ ‘Prostitute’ in Washington Office
Two more ACORN officials were fired Friday after a second video surfaced showing staffers in the community organizers’ Washington office offering to help a man and woman posing as a pimp and prostitute acquire illegal home loans that would help them set up a brothel.
The group’s leaders said Friday they were “appalled and angry” at what their staffers had done, but insisted the videos were part of a political “smear” campaign and not representative of the institution as a whole.
“But that does not excuse the behavior of the employees,” wrote ACORN’s president Alton Bennet and executive director Mike Shea. “We have fired them and are initiating an internal review of practices and reminding all staff of their obligation to uphold the highest legal and ethical standards.”

I am AA and I have relatives who live in Chicago. I do not and will never support or vote for Obama. With the advice on “How to Get a House By Lying” from the Acorn playbook, you can all now see how the real etate market and Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac tanked by getting loans for people who couldn’t pay. These people got their start under Obama’s tuteledge when he sued Citibank in Chicago for alleged racial discrimination in housing lending practices. The bank settled out of court in I believe 1998 or 99. This same group has caused people to lose as much as 50% of their 401ks, savings, stocks, etc. They have always been Obama’s right hand and a serious threat to the country.
Community Organizer groups been strong arming bankers for years by reviewing the publicly available HMDA loan data from the banks and then alleging racial inequity and then accepting a voluntary fine in lieu of getting sued. It is somewhat like the old time protection racket. It was always cheaper to pay them off than to be vindicated in court and to have to deal with the publicity and pickets of the organizer street teams.

Or better yet, something like the Feds have for confiscating the assets and property of convicted drug dealers. Heck to liquidate ACORNS’ assets could put a decent dent into paying off the federal deficit.

I have to say, too, that my boy was no fool either. We disagreed on who to vote for during the GE. Neither of us would vote for Obama. I did vote for McCain. But he voted for Nader. At least he couldn’t stand O. He saw right away that O was acting like some celebrity superstar, not like a person who should be a leader.

I believe both of the young people involved in this may be considered “employees” as both were interning..not sure on how that plays out; especially if they were going to a public school instead of a private school. Further protection for them may be under the McCaskill Whistle blower protection act, as well as other extensions now added to whistle blowers; especially when it comes to child prostitution. Was there an expectation of privacy in a public office discussing taxes? Hopefully instead of trying to rig the system so ACORN looks like a victim,. the justice system in Maryland will focus on the true crimes being committed by ACORN. There are many whistle blower protections on the books that may in combination superceed what the state has to say.

I am just stunned that Maryland’s State’s Attorney would weigh in with this. Criminal law is not my area but I am pretty confident that there’s no reasonable expectation of privacy in an Acorn office, for starters.
It does make me wonder if the issued statement is an attempt to intimidate the film makers from releasing additional footage from yet another location. That’s some pretty thin ice for state officials to be stomping around on.
I don’t know if there’s more to come or not but it would not surprise me in the least if they’ve got more.
I know Viking; maybe they are in for a penny in for a pound. The seriousness of the child importation/prostitution charges are the big hitters in this; it is not illegal to pose as a pimp or prostitute-in this setting, the ACORN people are not court officers or peace officers, and there was no signing of any contract. but the advising of taxes and how to “handle” the underage future hookers, is a big fish, which far outweighs these issues of privacy for these parasites. Imagine if this was in reverse and the races were on different sides; Al Sharpton would be screaming, O would be yelling about and posturing and Jessie would be downright outraged. This is partially why tort cases and the reform of them has gone nuts; in some cases it has become a means to make a living off of invented slights; making it so much harder for the true cases to be viewed with merit by the public. The real race issues/cases travel far further up the judicial food chain than a mere tort case.
I am also hoping for more, maybe there was a network beyond the two of them. This should be front page and of the utmost concern to each and every voter; yet and of course there is ittle outcry. For those who would encourage and defend ACORN activities, I wish you well, as the tide is turning back on you. Imagine if someone had the guts to do this during the fannie may and freddie mac implosion; maybe we would have found those million dollar connections, before so much was lost.

I think we can ALL agree that Acorn/SEIU are strongly, if not entirely, in the Democrat camp. And I can think of half a dozen more Democrat dominated groups off the top of my head that are also very shady. Can anyone think of similar organizations that are in the Republican camp? Something to consider when choosing party affiliation, at least if you have a speck of integrity.
