ACORN: will more nuts fall from the tree?
By American Girl in Italy on September 14, 2009 at 12:01 PM in ACORN, Sara in Italy
James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles strike again. This time in Brooklyn.
The women, Volda and Milagros, in this newest video from Brooklyn, NY, seem slightly less forthcoming than the women from the DC and Baltimore offices. They seem a tad uncomfortable, and don’t look Hannah and James in the eye often. That said, it doesn’t stop them from offering counsel on how to lie, avoid taxes, bury cash in the yard, etc.
You can read transcripts of the other videos, and many more related stories at Big.Government.com
The woman in pink, Volda, seems a concerned about the welfare of the “prostitute”, continuously telling her to be quick, and to think. However, they continue to offer assistance even after they are told there will be 13 and 14 year old prostitutes in the house.
Here was the initial statement Acorn issued after the first videos:
STATEMENT FROM ALTON BENNETT,
PRESIDENT OF ACORN HOUSING, AND MIKE SHEA,
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, REGARDING
RECENT NEWS REPORTSWashington, D.C. –”As President and Executive Director of ACORN Housing we were appalled and angry to see the video of two Washington, D.C. employees offering advice on how to operate an illegal enterprise to keep it hidden from the government. While no transaction took place – no loan documents were signed or submitted, no bank loans were arranged, no new business was established – this is not how we behave. All ACORN Housing staff members undergo rigorous training and are expected to comply with high standards for ethical behavior and compliance with the law.
“This video tape is slanted to misinform the public about ACORN Housing. The people who made this tape went to at least five other ACORN Housing offices where they were turned away or where ACORN Housing employees responded by calling the police. That is not mentioned on the tape – it is part of a long-term plan to smear ACORN Housing for political reasons and provide entertainment in the process. But that does not excuse the behavior of the employees. We have fired them and are initiating an internal review of practices and reminding all staff of their obligation to uphold the highest legal and ethical standards.
“After more than two decades of helping people in need comply with the law in pursuit of the American dream of home ownership, it saddens us that ACORN Housing has been put in this position by everyone involved.”
“Honesty is not going to get you the house.” Is that their motto?
“This recent scam, which was attempted in San Diego, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia to name a few places, had failed for months before the results we’ve all recently seen.”
~Bertha Lewis, Chief Organizer, ACORN
I guess that first video wasn’t an isolated incident… rumor has it there is at least one more video! How can ACORN even think they could win a lawsuit?
Please see earlier NQ posts covering this story here, here, here and here.
Classic headline of the day: Obama: I Could No More Disown ACORN Than I Could My Own Nuts

It was mentioned in an on-the-air discussion of the healthcare measures pending in Congress: that funds are allocated for “training” for those who have lost their jobs. The catch is that those training programs are to be funnelled exclusively to labor unions who will administer the training programs. I imagine that these would be AFL-CIO/SEIU, UAW. More light should be trained on this particular provision. This is plain and simple, pay-back to these unions that threw their support behind Obama. This is as much a questionable action as those funds given to ACORN.
In regard to “union training. A friend pointed me to a site referring to “HCTC”, regarding health care assistance for individuals being retrained, and others.
“The HCTC is a federal tax credit that enables eligible individuals to pay only 20 % of qualified health insurance premiums for themselves and their family members. If you are eligible, the HCTC is available to you monthly as premiums become due, yearly when you file your federal tax return, or a combination of both.”
http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=109915,00.html
I have not had time to explore it fully, and do not wish to cast aspersions on such, without merit. By even posting link, I may be simply muddying the waters further.
However, in scanning FAQs, I found the paragraph below, which I found interesting and puzzling.
“Can a participant reside in a foreign or US territory or be a non-U.S. citizen and receive the monthly HCTC?
You can be a non-U.S. citizen and claim the tax credit as long as you meet all the eligibility requirements. At this time, individuals who receive mail at an address outside of the 50 states and the District of Columbia are not eligible to participate in the monthly HCTC Program. However, they may receive the yearly HCTC on their federal tax return provided they meet the eligibility requirements and maintain qualified health coverage.”
Thanks for yet another great expose, AGII.
ACORN’s reckless disregard for the law is what going to do them in and not some:
I grow weary of the litany of threadbare excuses used by scam artists when their hand is caught in the till.
The key term lacking here is oversight. You can train and expect until the chickens come home to roost but you must also have rigorous oversight. I suppose they were too busy thinking up new scams to raid the treasury to perform even the most perfunctory supervision. This is a woefully bad business model.
The bottom line is that this rotten-to-the-core organization needs to be disbanded, the sooner the better.
Agree AGI, You really have been superlative in getting the news here FAST!!
At this point I want to know exactly how many “artistic entertainment” houses the US taxpayers own???
I TAUGHT accounting 101, and 102, albeit begrudgingly, for 3 very looong and boring semesters. I sure would have never had an answer to how to set up those businesses.
This is beyond disgusting. Just how depraved are the people in DC???
Ass****=Liabilities
I live in a depressed area and I don’t see any major training for the unemployed,is it basically an intercity thing?
Isn’t that racist? only certain people count ,where’s the videos from the primary and what they did to keep Hillary voters from the process bullying and intimidation? With these several tapes now and those from the primary wouldn’t that make a bigger point,that and the whole housing debacle? They wouldn’t show them then maybe now they might,at least on fox and maybe Dylan Matigan on msnbc.{he’s no olberman LOL}
I, too, live in a small town where the factories left 20 or more years ago, when the movement of work overseas started. I see nothing here in the way of government
aidinterference and am glad for it. We work, help our neighbors when we can, keep our homes up, and make do with what few services we have. Hell, even our only hospital is closing at the end of the year so that we will have to travel 20+ miles in an emergency. That being said, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.our only hospital is closing at the end of the year .
Why is the hospital closing? Lack of money but who owned it?
20 miles is at least closer than some of the Veterns must commute on the VA school school bus.
True TWK. I have to travel 300 plus miles to the nearest VA Regional hospital. My only alternative is to move to southern Florida, which is even farther away. Some choice eh?
The hospital is a for-profit venture and the economy is given as the main culprit. The hospital is owned by a company that has other hospitals in the area, some of which are being closed/consolidated to cut costs.
That being said, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
Boy, I screwed that up–wanted to write “there’s no place like home”.
I understood what you were trying to say, AC. About this time of night, I can post some loo-loos.
NEW POLITICAL PARTY IS FORMING..unveiled at the DC March. THE UNITED PATRIOTS PARTY Go to:
http://www.birthofaparty.com
Hey! wENT TO THE SITE ..This was FANTASTIC!!!!! This sounds like home to me!
The thing that struck me was the San Francisco part. Any third party that develops, we will see on Beck or hear about from Sarah.
San Francisco is often given a bad rap. The nuts and flakes get all the attention there because they squeak a lot and loudly. The people I met there had the same concerns as I do. They lean a little left on the social side but are fairly conservative fiscally. That actually suits me fine.
I agree with you Ferd. I know a lot of people who live in San Francisco, and they are thoughtful, intelligent people, who are not as left leaning as everyone thinks.
That’s a big, red flag, a new political party forming in SF,CA???? Is Nancy funding this new party?
Here’s a quote from their web site: “Generally, we are moderate in our views: fiscally conservative yet liberal-leaning or moderate on social issues”
It all comes down to interpretation. It can mean anything. How about some specifics? some examples of what they mean by fiscally conservative and how liberal on social issues??
Please. San Francisco is more than nuts and flakes and Pelosi. One of the great things about freedom of association is that one can always refrain from joining.
At this point in time about anything without Democratic or Republican ties would be a good thing, if only to remind them that they aren’t the be-all and end-all of politics.
There were plenty of people from SF at the March. Just because they live in SF means that they have to be a part of this movement? The movement is about saving this country from the Republicans and Democrats. We have to find some middle ground here. The fighting has to stop. How can you fight for your rights as Americans and then turn around and deny other Americans their rights to liberty freedom and their right to happiness? That makes no sense.
I’m in agreement with you entirely. My response was to WhatNow. Sorry for any confusion.
Sorry…I meant to respond to another post..not yours. I am sorry
I read this as a rhetorical question and couldn’t agree more!
Ferd, this has nothing to do with freedom.
Without specifics, we’re repeating history, using general statements and people interpret what they want to get out of it.
“Generally, we are moderate in our views: fiscally conservative yet liberal-leaning or moderate on social issues”. This is a “general” statement, it can mean anything. Sounds familiar to me, like we’re reliving the past.
I’m skeptical until there’s specifics.
I think they were as specific in their intent as need be. We need a centrist party that stops with the wedge-issue crapola that ALWAYS bogs down any attempt at forming a coalition due to factions whining over minor things. I’ve had enough of the abortion this, gays that, you can’t have guns and can’t put up a fence crap that is all too prevalent. If I wanted that horse manure, I’d rejoin the mouth-breathing slack jaws over at the DNC or RNC. And there are plenty of parties out there that fill the niche-driven crowd with tunnel vision and blinders.
We need a broad-based, America-first party. It can and should include gays, lesbians, the fiscally conservative, the socially liberal, the basement-dwelling momma’s boys, the gun-toters, bible-clutchers, moonshiners, veterans, Hell’s Angels, and any other person who is for the Constitution and all its Amendments. The time for divisive, wedge-issue irrelevancies is over.
Ferd - I agree with you with what America needs BUT - without specifics, this new party may not be the answer. I would like to see, once election is over with, every member of Congress, doesn’t have a party affiliation - they are Americans working for their constituants.
I would like to see organizations like ACORN shut down, disbanded. I’m tired of people not voicing their own opinion - they just regurgitate what they hear, etc.
But, if ACORN loses its funding, there is an investigation and ALL that are corrupt are prosecuted, than I will be reassured that the Republic and our Constitution is still around.
I believe there is such a lack of trust of either party, that it will not be easy to create a new party, in the immediate future. I would love to believe that there is a goal to support the constitution, but I am skeptical and wary and tired of being abused by political groups, so personally I am cautious, and will not move quickly as I want to see how a group like this is funded, how “leaders” are chosen and rotated, what are the goals, are there any related to getting this party elected into office and so forth.
Having said that I will check it out before I pass real judgment, and will remain an independent, for voting purposes, but if there comes into play a group that can go full on against the lobbyist in the best interest of the people of this country as a whole, then I can be supportive.
I know I have to at some point get rid of this skepticism partially as it is an extreme in my concerns right now; I know a 3rd party doesn’t stand a chance if it isn’t given an honest chance; the other two parties have had long enough.
Yea but, er, hum, you know er and uh, you know, how do we, uh, get that er, across to “That One”
They were doing good until they got to the part about EQUALITY for all, race, religion, sexual. I knew coming from San Fran that is what I would find. They want to let all of the illegals in, and establish gay rights for all.
Nope, they should leave that name Patriot Party alone if that is going to be their platform. Sorry, but can’t go there with them.
I didn’t see anything of the kind there about illegals. Moreover, to insist that because they are from San Francisco they are for the things you describe is the same sort of nonsense coming from the MSM about South Carolina. This lumping together of persons into some prefabricated compartment based upon where they come from is only driving the wedge deeper.
That’s tellin’ em Ferd!
How is it you say what I want to write but with such clarity. You should have been my English professor, at least you would have made language fun!
Enough stroking any ego you may have.
Good evening to you and your’s.
So, being a patriot means you are against gays? You better just stay in your Republican party.
There are plenty of gay patriots around. Just look at the military for starters.
Thanks, Joe.
I checked out the site. Socially liberal and fiscally conservative–that’s how I describe myself. I hope this party gains some support.
Lana - “Socially liberal and fiscally conservative” MAY be an oxymoron. How would this new party resolve the additional cost of social liberalism? and still stay fiscally conservative?
The questions are moot at this point. What will it cost to allow the status quo to prevail? A hell of a lot more, I’d say both in terms of our freedom (which, by the way is far more precious than any dollar amount that can be applied to it) and in terms of money. We’re also wasting time (more money) quibbling over trifles.
That being said, I am not now nor will I even consider joining any third party because of the problems with splintering into single-issue camps, silly-ass turf battles, and ever-present fiefdom building. I’m content to remain independent and force candidates to earn my vote. Hopefully, other citizens will do the same.
I’m with you Ferd. Your points are cogent, articulate, and right on target.
That’s because you’re SANE!
too bad that AA”S cant see how acorn is using them. they set up unqualified people in rundown ghetto offices to do their dirty work. where’s all those millions of dollars they got from taxpayers. in the pockets of the brothers rathke (who btw are white)? it sure didnt go to nicely appointed offices or qualified help. does acorn provide them with healthcare? i doubt it. they are just being used as cover for all their behind the scenes criminal activities. notice it was the people on the bottom of the totem pole who got fired? can you say “sacrificial lambs”
So true! ACORN is the far left plantation. And before any fellow travelers come here to preach about how communists and socialists (ok, maybe socialists) have been pro civil rights here’s some FACTS for you.
1. African university students (and these were just a handful)in Moscow and Leningrad during the 1950’s-60’s were subjected to continuous racist abuse. When they threatened to publicly protest Kruschev threatened to deport them. Yet the Soviets were always using the history of race relations in the USA to seduce AA’sand other minorities to their cause.
2. Cuba …. a favorite of some CBC members amongst others. Blacks 10% Mulatto 24.86%
There’s a much higher percentage of people of African descent in Cuba than in the USA and yet there’s maybe 6 blacks in Castro’s own Communist Party Central Committee. Look at photos of the Cuban army. Over 90% of the rank and file soldiers are black. Now look at the officers …almost exclusively white!
I’ve said it over and over again. The Far Left is NO BETTER than the Far Right. They are truly Janus faced.
It seemed as if they wanted to impress the wannabe pimp’s specious responses with their own sophistication concerning laws etc–the dumber the pimp acted the more they were emboldened to dig their own hole.
Thank you for this piece. The classic headline you quote is priceless! Thanks for the much needed laugh.
How stupid do people have to be in order to fall for a guy dressed up like “Huggy Bear”, from Starsky and Hutch?
It looks like a cheesy “pimp suit” you might get at a party store. Something intended for Halloween parties. Do pimps even dress like that now? Huggy Bear I liked. He was alright.
What is disturbing is that people are accepting that in each case the low level people in the organization are being thrown under the bus. Clearly they are not acting on their own and have been trained by others to do this. Congress should immediately be investigating this as well as voter fraud cases with ACORN - particularly the leaders of this organization. Instead they want to investigate Joe Wilson for calling Obama what he clearly is.
Even more disturbing is the fact that most of the major news outlets are either not covering this or treating it as a missing puppy case.
ACORN is at the core of who Obama is and how he got elected. Without an aggressive investigation these incidents will fade quickly from our memory and ACORN will become even more empowered.
And that’s just it - at each locale, they have gotten basically the same advice. So, from where does THAT come? It has to come form the top down, doesn’t it?
The problems with ACORN are systemic - and I, for one, am not willing to have my tax paying dollars go to them to work it out.
Thanks, AGII!!!
Rev Amy,
As always, You hit the nail on the head.
I want 3 things:
1. An investigation to see how many of these “artistic entertainment” houses the US taxpayer owns by proxy;
2. A complete investigation, with indictments in the court of Denny Chin, the guy who sentenced Madof;
http://blog.al.com/businessnews/2009/06/bernie_madoff_ordered_to_forfe.html
3. Restitution to the US Taxpayer.
RRRAA,
I think this goes back to the discussion we had about the poor on AGiI’s recent post on Wright. It may come from the top down, but it also comes from the bottom up. This is an organization that goes by the motto of give the people a fish so they can eat, rather than teach them to fish.
I’m all for helping the poor, but having ACORN do it is like asking the blind to lead the blind.
Especially in the Baltimore video, I saw a PC mindset, so to speak, of a certain segment of the inner city poor. It’s politically correct in a certain group of the poor to think of the government as the enemy and deserving of being cheated; and it’s o.k. to take the government’s money and bite the hand that feeds you, so to speak. I couldn’t quite catch the whole statement, but the lady who did the housing counseling seemed to say at some point, well they don’t like the way we all make money, so we have to do this to get what we have coming to us. There was no understanding of right or wrong, of ethics, of the consequences for the people in your way as you make money the way you’ve chosen to make it. To her it was all relative. They don’t like OUR WAY of making money, as if every way was o.k.
Her comment about making those girls attend school (the three who would be counted as dependents) was not concern that they get an education but rather a concern that if anyone checked on “Kenya” that she would seem legit.
Now, please don’t think by any means that I believe all poor have this attitude. Many do try hard to get out of poverty the legal, ethical way.
But many are just a bit proud of their “screw you” attitudes.
That’s the hiring pool that ACORN picks from. Beause, afterall, that seems to be the attitude throughout ACORN.
It was mind boggling because I really didn’t see any sense that these “advisors” felt there was anything wrong with the way these two young people said they wanted to make a living.
It’s not socialism because these women don’t have any political ideology except this: If I want it, I should be able to force someone to give it to me.
Is this nuts or what (pun intended). I feel as if I’m in Bizarro World these days.
BTW,anyone catch this from Politico. Oh sweet Goddess,please hellllllllpppp ussssss!!
Democrats see race factor for Barack Obama foes

Nice one!
Brooklyn D.A. is moving against ACORN; just now on the news crawl
Maybe if the DNC had actually found a qualified person who was AA, this wouldn’t have happened. Instead, they pick the most unqualified, arrogant, untrasparent person they can find, and we’re supposed to be quiet because we don’t want to APPEAR to be racist. Give me a break. There are many qualified AAs. Why didn’t they pick one of those, so we really could get past the issue of race?
Because he was the only one who would be their puppet.
Race is a tool. The environment is a tool. Unions are a tool. There is nothing else to it. These are all being used as a means to an end. They are not the end, just the means. The President is up there because he gives a good speech, had a good story and he is malleable. He said it himself, he is a blank slate upon which we project. So he is.
Great post American Girl! I just read that Sen. Mike Johanns is offering an amendment that will block federal funds to ACORN for housing programs. Wouldn’t that be great if it passes!
AGII,
No discussion of ACORN will be complete unless you include this O’Reilly interview with several top NUTS in the ACORN family. This inerview was done in response to voter fraud issues, but it is even MORE revealing now when linked to these current outrageous episodes of corruption and moral depravity that seem to be the emerging signiture behavior and ideology of the ACORN racket.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wcAzK4t2Ak
If you think that the ACORN women in the O’Keefe videos are dumb as posts, just watch this interview, the two women here are prime examples of the Peter Principle on steroids.
The top people in ACORN are low profile and reclusive, and they intentionally hire absolute pinheads to run the publicly visible portion of their racket. They don’t want intelligent people in their organization, because anyone with half a brain would soon realize that they’re working for a branch of organized crime. There ARE whistle blowers, but they’re strangely getting little attention. Perhaps they’re worried for their lives and their families.
I have to agree with you. The ACORN representatives in those videos truly represent the lowest common denominator possibly available.
Thanks, AGI.
I thought this quote from the site you sent me to was the most telling:
As head of finance and chief bottle-washer at my company I have a lot of people come to talk to me about their problems. If anyone even goes near proposing anything illegal I set them straight at once. I’m not interested in helping them if they don’t know where the line is or do and don’t mind crossing it.
Not surprisingly, I don’t hear much of this stuff. On the other hand, the folks at ACORN seems to think this is normal so what else do they hear?
The 400K + members of ACORN have been marinated for almost 40 years in a soup of racism, socialism, corruption, and money laundering.
The visible, yet superficial, activities of voter registration, community activism, and housing assistance to minorities, pimps, & ho’s, is just the rather thin coat of whitewash covering up what in reality is organized crime.
I would guess that 99.9% of the members and employees of ACORN are just mindless drones, and functionally incapable of doing much else in this world without landing in jail. The only reason it has not been taken down is that the .1 % of those in ACORN that actually know what is going on have a symbiosis with Democrat politicians, up to and including Obama. ACORN promises support in the form of voter fraud, intimidation, advertising, and covert activities. In return for this fealty, the politician funnels money into ACORN from many sources, and provides political cover for their nefarious activities. The money given to ACORN can be as direct as actual government payments (our taxes), charitable donations, and indirect yet substantial payments from banks and companies, that in turn get reimbursed for their contribution with programs like TARP and the heavily earmarked stimulus deal; the politician essentially pays the companies back (again with our tax dollars) in the largest money laundering scam ever created.
ACORN needs to be dissected, and all of it’s political ties and contributors need to be exposed. Hopefully, the momentum of such a necessary activity will cause other such organizations, from unions to radical environmental groups, to fall under the same microscope of justified scrutiny. Just think of how much corruption could be stopped with the exposure of the symbiosis that exists between organs like GE/NBC, those that stand to profit wildly from the global warming fiction, groups that will profit from radical government involvement in health care, and the fascist political movement that has Obama as it’s titular head. ACORN is just one of the many players that have evolved with all of the others into network of institutional graft and corruption, a giant network that has been draining the citizens, and the nation as a whole, of it’s once admired vitality.
This organization is under both state and federal investigation and no one in either party is calling for the US Attorney General, Mr. Holder I’m looking at you, to open a major FBI led federal investigation.
Whether these people were trained to do this or not is not the point. The point is, uncomfortable or not, they are going along with it.
ACORN bigwigs don’t get it. It doesn’t matter how many are doing it. The problem is that it’s happening at all. For ACORN to say well everybody didn’t do it is a red-herring. Everybody doesn’t rob banks. Does that means we should ignore those who do?
These are children we are talking about. Real or fictional children it doesn’t matter. As a mother and grandmother I am horrified that anyone would entertain the idea of using these babies as sex slaves.
End of discussion.
I concur. An investigation is needed and sooner rather than later. As a first step, ACORN should be barred from further work on behalf of or at the direction of the government.
Holder was not brought in to investigate or expose groups like ACORN. Quite the contrary. Holder has a resume that proves that he has no qualms pardoning criminals and terrorist groups as long as they are strongly left leaning, or donate to Democrats. He will run interferance for groups like ACORN and The New Black Panthers because their activities are an integral part of the whole Fascist makeover that Obama and his idiologues have planned for this country. I can imagine that he will even go so far as to give them a “heads up” if lower agencies attempt investigations or prosecutions. He will of course have to allow some of the smaller fish in these groups to be sacrificed as a pathetic show of his mock concern. But do you actually believe that he’ll do something substantial to organizations like ACORN that played a large role in manipulating the last election? Don’t hold your breath.
Holder’s other job is to investigate conservative organizations, and attempt to prosecute members of the prior administration. These high profile inquiries and threats serve to deflect attention the daily left wing horrors that are being ignored by the MSM, and are the clear and present danger to our freedom and traditional American way of life.
I have been wanting and expecting ACORN to have the government funding ripped from under its corrupt bottom since the primary. Maybe these videos, plus the recent voter registration fraud arrests will move things closer to that outcome. But somehow, I’ve become skeptical that people really care anymore.
Why do so many people just shrug and accept fraud and corruption? I know why the commissars of the DNC did and do, but why do my neighbors, friends, family members, etc.? I point some of these things out, and they say something like this: “You know you’ve always been too idealistic. This is the way it’s always been. You’ll just drive yourself crazy.” The undertone is this: “I don’t want to listen to it because I just don’t want to have to be too upset and mess up the calm, happy life I have going.”
They should have lost their 501C tax status way back during the primary when they clearly had Obama posters in their offices. As part of a tax free status they MUST be non-partisian which we all know they are not.
i agree should have but didn;t
Wow, I think I’m becoming like Glenn Beck. (Who’d a thunk it a year ago.)
[...] ACORN: will more nuts fall from the tree? : NO QUARTER Tags: about, authors, authors-posts, gravatar-close, italy headline, september [...]
Here is where I ran into an issue. A person saw me reading the recent NQ post on ACORN and saw Glen Beck’s mug below the headline and said to me;
“I don’t know why you read that crap, Glen Beck is a useless dick”.
So I said, “But you don’t even know what the subject matter is about”. Having only seen his mug on my screen)
They say “It doesn’t matter because he has nothing I want to hear.”, and repeated the first comment.
So I say “OK, what ever Glen maybe is besides the point, he is one of the few in the MSM reporting on ACORN and their readiness to assist in child prostitution, doesn’t the subject make you concerned to know about it?”
The response was to denigrate the Republicans and give ACORN a pass because it was Glen Beck was on Fox “news” reporting it.
There seems to be a a wide spread disconnect between the personality of the messenger and the content / context of the information presented. The information is discounted because messenger.
Now on the other hand if the content / info IS blatant propaganda …
The person with whom you spoke is an automaton, a Stepford American. So long as they can buy their trinkets and watch the pretty lights, they’re content. They’ve been assimilated and no amount of reason or cogent argument will suffice to being them out of their stupor.
Fumble fingers, again. What I meant to type was, “… no amount of reason or cogent argument will suffice to bring them out of their stupor.”

ACORN threatens to sue. Go Ahead, Make My Day.
The Calahan the Squirrel said to the ACORN, “you’ve got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?”
I hope ACORN sues and all of their dirty laundry comes to light. Thanks for this post. I am so sick of democrats using the “race card”. I’m still a democrat but the democratic leadership in Congress and much of the MSM is beyond embarrassing to me! I never listened to Rush Limbaugh until last year but sometimes the man has some really good points.
Apparently Newsweek mag., according to Rush, is coming out today with a picture of a “white baby” on the front of the magazine with the headlines that babies as young as 6 months notice skin color differences; ergo they must be racists. Of course this apparently only applies to white babies (the picture is a “white baby”) not babies of other skin tones. How absolutely lame is this! The health care bill debate is raging. We’re facing record unemployment figures and Newsweek Magazine chooses to focus on “baby racists”.
I can agree some of the time with Rush’s take on the Obama administration, but I do not like his way of lumping all Democrats together and insinuating that all the world’s problems were created by the Democrats. This righty/lefty and Dem/Repub stuff has to be put to bed.
Yuck, and yuck again. The articles are all over the web, and some are still quoting some of the worse race pot stirrers since the presidential campaign, the brazillemonster. The gist was it was natural for people to worry about the presidents safety because of his race; if you are from that race. See to me that is racism; can’t people disagree politically without being labeled? Apparently not.This is unfair to every person regardless of ethnicity, plain and simple.
A Yuck yuck.
Havent read one of those for a long time.
Well on Becks show today, he stated tune in tomorrow for more on Acorn. This next reveal is supposed to be a whopper.
BigGovernment got ahold of an employee manual:
“To start this, we are publishing an internal quasi-employee manual Big Government has obtained. Given to all ACORN employees, it isn’t your normal manual. It doesn’t discuss things like sick leave or vacation time, but, rather, as the title states, the “Principles and Foundations of ACORN.” How an organization communicates with the public is important. How it communicates to its own employees, however, provides a richer understanding of an organization’s nature.
The whole thing is worth a read. I draw your attention to just one sentence (ACORN emphasizes it with italics):
ACORN’s lifeblood is conflicts with targets outside the organization.”

ACORN LOST IT’S FUNDING. - NO MORE DOUGH FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG—What will Obambi do? It won’t be so cool to brag about his community organizing experience anymore. And how will he be able to reward all his friends back in Chicago and all over the country who stole the primary for him?
I just hope he doesn’t get all wee-wee’d up about it.
Two twenty-somethings put the final straw on the beast’s back!
Unfortunately, he will get wee-weed up about it and just say, “That wasn’t the ACORN I knew”.
It’s a Pampers moment for him.
BREAKIKNG: Senate votes to de-fund ACORN. amendment passes
Update: Thanks to Sean Hackbarth, we have the list of seven nays on the amendment so that the Child-Whoring Pimp Assitance 7 can be publicly identified:
* Dick Durbin (D-IL)
* Roland Burris (D-IL)
* Robert Casey (D-PA)
* Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
* Patrick Leahy (D-VT)
* Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
* Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)
This is from prior to the recent sting operations: interesting read.
I’m sorry but I had to laugh, even given the serious nature of this amendment.
This is the Seven Samur-nays. For their next act, seppuku.
Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), now that’s surprising.
According to Hannity they have kept the best till last so there is more to come!
Community Organizing is defiantly the career to avoid.
Glenn Beck on Greta saying you haven’t seen anything yet. Tomorrow’s video will “peel the skin off your face”.
YIKES! But I don’t want the skin peeled off my face!
Nancy Pelosi will be watching. She loves a free skin peel.
Well you know, Obots are saying that ACORNs only being investigated as a way to smear Obama and diminish his experience as a community organizer. In other words, we only care about ACORN because it reflects badly on Obama, not because they steal taxpayer money and engage in illegal activities.
[...] you had any issues over what happened in those videos of ACORN’s offices (see here, here, here, here and here), you can now rest easy. ACORN wants you to know that no loans were given to the [...]
