Now Protesters are KKK applicants, not merely racists (VIDEO)

Are you tired of white racism being the reason for any opposition to Obama and his policies? Think that protesting his plans or talking about him negatively as a politician is part of your rights in a democratic society? Well, think again. Not only is it not right, now instead of merely racist, you’re on your way to a “white sale” for extra sheets, according to Rep Hank Johnson, D-GA and Rep Dingell, D-MI.
According to Johnson, the only thing keeping whitey from going all KKK on every other person in this country is “rebuking Joe Wilson.”
Seriously.
Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst last week is drawing new recriminations from his colleagues, with a member of the Congressional Black Caucus suggesting that a failure to rebuke the South Carolina Republican is tantamount to supporting the most blatant form of organized racism in American history.
In an obvious reference to the Ku Klux Klan, Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., said Tuesday that people will be putting on “white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside” if emerging racist attitudes, which he says were subtly supported by Wilson, are not rebuked. He said Wilson must be disciplined as an example.
Of course, Rep Dingell, D-MI tried this line a couple of days ago too.
White sheets again. Is there a sale at Sears I’ve missed or something? Clearly being called a racist is no longer enough. Now it’s all about the KKK. What’s next?

Racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist. Did you have enough? Are you ready to give in to our agenda? We got more and we’re not afraid to use them.-Jimmy “machine gun” Carter.
The Demokkkrats started the KKK as their terror arm to end reconstruction. The KKK murdered over 2,000 black republican reconstructionists and over 1,000 white republican reconstructionists.
It’s the ultimate insult to blame the original VICTIMS of the KKK as having anything to do with it.
I guess they round us up. I am “AAA”
An Authentic American”
I believe in the Constitution; the separation of power, and the right to protest.
Its all they have, they can’t just go on the merits of the legislation they haven’t completed. Its a “No Sale” so they need something to change the subject again. We saw this coming all through his campaign, anyone that doesn’t fall in line has been deemed racist.
Yes, they revert to the “racist” ploy because they don’t have (a) valid argument(s) against the growing tied of dissent in this country.
There is no point in even making an attempt at discussing any issues with a person who makes such patently false generalizations. This sort of fallacious argument posing as reasonable commentary is appalling. This man is lumping an entire race into a predefined category using words that are pejorative in nature–what word in the English language is used to describe such commentary?
Two words, Ferd:
You Lie.
These idiots are doing DAMAGE to race relations.
Even a conservative black organization is angry about it. They’re so mad that they sent out a press release:
http://www.nationalcenter.org/PR-Racism_Obama_091609.html
Yes, cry racist, cry wolf!
The word is
Racist
You bet it is, AC, unless they re-define the word, as hypocrites often do.
Dingell and Johnson are the more blatant racists than they accuse the protesters of being.
If they resort to racist remarks to get their way it is OK. If someone criticizes them for doing it, it’s racism. And should anyone dare to use the same sort of language they do, it’s hate speech as well as racism.
Wow, I mean–really–go figure. The hypocrisy and selective indignation serves to demonstrate their sanctimony.
It’s time for all of us to stop explaining away how racist the blacks in this country are and it’s time to go right back at them.
If you know you’re not a racist, stand up to them. Send emails to their offices telling them exactly the kind of racist fools they are and tell them how they are the ones who are stoking up a racial fire that they won’t be able to extinguish. For the rest, laugh at them and go on about your life as though they don’t exist because believe me, at some point, after they are voted out of office, they won’t exist in our consciousness anymore.
I’ve absolutely had it with even attempting to justify anything to the Johnson, Dingells, Clyburns of this world. They are the worst kind of blacks. They hide their hatred of whites under the cover of courtly civility, but it’s there and it’s unreasonable. Enough!
Be sure to add Donna Brazille to your list. Here’s her twitter about Carter:
“Carter’s comments on race is now being used by some to re-ignite a hollow conversation on racism in America. Time to find common ground.” followed by “No one wins by touching race in such a shallow way. Automatically raises defenses and creates a backlash. Come together for a serious talk.” This is the woman who used her position on CNN to call Bill Clinton a racist when she said as an African American woman she was offended by Clinton’s use of the word fairytale to describe 0bama’s supposed opposition to the Iraq war. OF COURSE she only wants to talk about race in a shallow way. She just wants to throw out the card when it suits her. We saw her racist side when she handed delegates to 0bama that he did not win. She doesn’t want to hear from whites. Come on, Donna. Let’s have that serious talk.
Someone needs to remind these gentleman what political party KKK members belonged to during the heydey of their violence against blacks. Hint - it wasn’t the GOP. I wish the Republicans would stand up proud and let loose with all the “horrible racist” things they have done to blacks starting with Abraham Lincoln.
Here’s a great article where a black conservative journalist tells which party is really racist in America. It was written in 2003. Sad to see things haven’t changed a bit.

You should visit the site theblacksphere.net
Kevin Jackson has been writing about this for a while, and he’s a black conservative who gets in the faces of all of these people who scream “racism”.
Plus, his site is funny.
Thanks for the tip! While all this uptick in “racism” has been totally annoying, I have found some wonderful AA voices to read.

Never wise to generalize about any group.
Who knew that when I opposed Bush’s spending like a drunken sailor and funneling tax payer money to crony businesses I was a racist?
Though I doubt any group at the The Racial Draft (Chappelle Show) will claim Bush. Even though Obama loves so many of Bush’s policies and would probably all try to draft Obama.
I always thought Chappelle’s “racial draft” skit was one of the MOST inspired bits of comedy and social commentary I’ve ever seen.
My favorite of his bits!!
Waters: Protesters should be probed for “racist” thoughts
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/16/waters-protesters-should-be-probed-for-racist-thoughts/
Well, even though I am a white boy, I have never used the obviously racist term “ObamaCare,” preferring to call it “O-Whole-Health.” As far as being probed for “latent racism,” I’m afraid that is a probe too far, and I would never even allow my proctologist, who is a skilled professional, to perform such an intrusive probe upon my person.
I just finished writing my draft to send to the Carter Center when my next monthly contribution is due, telling them why they will no longer be getting any money from me thanks to President Carter’s salacious remarks. It is insulting, to say the very least.
Oh, and I signed up for monthly donations to the Clinton Foundation instead. Bill’s never called me a racist for holding a president accountable, my Constitutional right, and he has not made disparaging remarks abt Hillary, either (I might add, the Clinton Foundation uses 95.9% of funds raised directly for programs).
There was an article in our local (SC) paper today of an interview with Rep. Wilson’s son. His son said his father didn’t have a racist bone in his body and he most definitely was NOT being racist when he made his outburst (something apparently VERY uncharacteristic for him. An old friend of his said, in another article, that she has never even heard him yell at rallies, much less on the House floor.).
But this KKK thing is so offensive, I barely have words. It is our right to challenge Obama on his merits, or lack thereof. If he had not reneged on numerous promises, if he had actually been transparent, if he had been held to the SAME STANDARDS as every other president, that would be another story. But he has, and it isn’t - that does not make us racists, it makes us AMERICANS for holding him accountable for his “words, just words.”
And it doesn’t have one damn thing to do with the color of his skin.
I would submit that those who hold him to a different standard, who don’t expect him to be forthcoming with his records from IL, his transcripts from college and law school, yes, even his damn birth certificate, are the true racists, as they are treating him disparately from every other president (and candidate) before him because of the color of his skin (and didn’t Axelrove set this up nicely? That those of us who asked were immediately branded as “racists”??).
Good for you, Amy! I’ve given money to the Carter Center in the past, usually around the holidays. I will certainly not repeat that mistake.
Latent racism, KKK leanings and emerging racism through dissent? The Democratic Party has clearly lost its mind! And they’re doing great damage in the process, driving people apart at a really critical time in the US.
I’m almost beginning to think this is deliberate, anything to get people to take their eyes off the flim-flma going on.
Disgusting!
I used to contribute to Carter’s foundation when he was all about helping the poor. But when he started in with his anti-Semitic rants that was it for me and apparently all his closest Jewish friends. I am wondering if he is all there.
I truly believe that this racism strategy does come from the Oval Office by using surrogates to whip while Obama stays above the fray. When they cannot win on the merits of an argument they try to stop discussion by playing the race card.
The problem is that they are using African Americans as human shields in this fight by overplaying their hand recklessly and, with diminishing returns, race relations could face an enormous backlash. That is not something I would want to see but it would be the result of this strategy,
EXCELLENT points, Amy.
My sentiments exactly!
Obama is given a pass on things that are expected from every other President in history.
Now THAT is racist.
Oh really??? have we seen the college transcripts of bill clinton, hillary, bush, et al? I sure never have. and I’ve never seen their birth certificates either - because we took their word for it. the only person who is eligible to obtain a transcript from a college or univ is the student himself OR a court order. period. so only obama can request his transcripts - and if he has not done so its because he hasn’t been required to. give it a rest.
You people are sick beyond belief. and you have written the book on racism - don’t you ever read what other bloggers say about larry’s kids?
carol…no other president admits being born a British citizen either (except for the grandfather clause article II few)
Obama has never been eligible
he is an installed usurper
truth
Actually we did know how well (or not well) Bill, Hillary, Bush and even Gore did in college. However Obama never opened up anything about his Occidental or Columbia college grades. I guess there may be too much to hide.
While we learned quite a bit about the Clintons and the Bushs during their college years, Obama has hidden all of that inforamation for whatever reason. By doing so he leaves other to draw conclusions based on what they do know about Obama.
As far as racism, Obama’s strategy of good cop/bad cop with the race card has been as evident during his campaigns and it is now.
You go girl!
After being told that I should start wearing my white sheets in public instead of in the dead of night by a blogger who continues to follow me from blog to blog to call me a racist, I thought I was immune to it all. Then I saw Jimmy Carter on TV inferring I was a racist, too…and it was like pulling a scab off a wound.
Do they have any idea the damage this is doing to the message of Martin Luther King, Jr.? When I think of how many blacks died because of real racism, and then I hear people watering down the true meaning. It’s just disgusting, especially coming from a man of Jimmy Carter’s stature.
Thanks, y’all!
Nunly, that’s just it - if they constantly use racism as a shield to protect Obama from scrutiny, when there are REAL cases of racism, people will discount them because we will have become immune from them. THAT is a crime.
And speaking of crimes, how abt the one raised earlier at NQ abt the boy in IL who was viciously attacked not once, but twice, with no provocation? Can we actually talk abt that, or in some twisted way, does that make us racists if we bring it up?
See what I mean?
Hats off to you Rev Amy!
I’m a firm believer when a person Blames an opponent of a scurrilous action or in this case motive (racism) it’s merely their way of unloading their character defect onto their opponent ….. in other words he’s drawing a picture of himself …
Matthew said it best..

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
I wrote the Carter Center a scathing email as well. I just found it unbelieveably hypocritical that James Clyburn was the one who introduced the slap-down to Joe Wilson in the House - you know, the same Clyburn, who called our former President a RAAAACIST in the primaries. Talk about treating a President with civility! Where was the outrage from the Democratic Party and congresswhores then? What a bunch of freaking hypocrites and arrogant asswipes they are!
95% of African Americans voted against a white man–I guess they’re racist. In sheer numbers more whites voted for BO than AA’s–so in the abbreviation of one sign I saw on Saturday, WTF???
This is the way the Obama campaign was run — anybody remember they called the Clintons racists? That was it for me — I knew that I could never vote for him as soon as I heard that. I did not want a president of the United States that could not be criticized — that’s un-American!!!!!
I sure do - my representative, Jim Clyburn, a former “friend” of the Clintons, pushed that whole race-baiting meme for Obama here before the SC primary. It was infuriating.
Right there with ya… the SC primary settled my mind in a hurry.
“Whats next”? Whatever it is most likely will not be painless. Never thought I would live to see this in America.
Indeed, westexan, it won’t be painless, whatever awaits.
if you want to know whats next, pay attention to obamas plan to push for a private militia that is as “well armed and as well funded as the military” (to use obamas own words).exactly what does he need this for since we have the National Guard? could it be that obama foresaw the coming revolution and is preparing himself? and just who will this private militia be comprised of…unemployed ex acorn workers? you betcha. WHERE THE HELL IS THE MEDIA ON THIS????
Actually, I think a group of beanie-wearing, chin-strapped obamabots would be hysterical. Furthermore, they wouldn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell where I live. Just because those of us here don’t swagger around, bragging about how tough we are, doesn’t mean we’d put up with their false bravado for more than a New York nanosecond. That One had better take a seriously long and hard look at this ill-advised, ill-conceived policy.
ok so these fools are going down the road of totally alienating a majority of american population. i say fine let them do it and bear the consequences.
a bunch of dimwits heading for the cliff. that includes mr carter. any small amouont of remaining respect i might have harbor for mr carter is now dead. i intend to write him a letter asking how a supposed religeous person could act and speak in such a shoddy, low class manner as he has in the past year.
LET’S CALL THESE PEOPLE OUT FOR WHAT THEY ARE.
ADMINISTRATION
Please post this video of Carter calling Obama BOY.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/watercooler/2009/sep/16/flashback-video-carter-referred-obama-black-boy/
I’ll pass that along to LisaB.
And Carter ALSO plays that whole meme of “poor little ol’ Obama.” I’m sorry, but please tell me when having a stepfather who was in the oil biz, and a grandmother who was the VP of the largest bank in Hawaii, constituted POVERTY???? He went to the BEST private school in Hawaii, for crying out loud! It’s not like he was scratching out his figurin’ in the sand with a piece of straw! WTH? That was ALL Axelrove, and the MSM, that - how he made so much of himself from such “humble” beginnings. Please.
At one time I might have said that additional instruction was needed in American schools in logic, rational discourse, and real debate, complete with, gasp, facts. After witnessing firsthand what has happened to our educational system over the course of the past 40 years, I’ve changed my mind. What is really needed is a return to traditional courses that don’t offer feel-good, “I’m OK, You’re OK” gobbledegook or hyphenated-American history with its emphasis on differences rather than similarities, etc. Lacking fundamental tools in the pursuit of knowledge or of an advanced education is akin to having a tool box containing only a hammer–everything starts to resemble a nail.
We weren’t racist when a black politician won the Dem primary.
We weren’t racist when a black politician became President.
We weren’t racist when Obama had 65+% approval ratings.
Now that he’s in the low 50’s and his health bamboozle is hitting the daylight, we’re all a bunch of ex-patriot Klansmen ready to start lynching negroes again all over the South.
WTF?
When I was a Republican I never ran into a Republican racist. I’m sure one probably exists, but when I used to be a Democrat during the civil rights marches that I supported, I ran into racists and Klan members all the time, of course that was a long time ago.
I’m against the president’s healthcare plan so I guess that makes me a racist now days, go figure.
Does anyone know if you starch those hoods or wear them wrinkled?
Well, I prefer a little spray starch before ironing by white hood, but be honest with me now, does this sheet make my ass look big?
/snark
LMAO–
“Why no, dear, you look just as slim as you did when we were first married–when you could still fit into the tablecloth.”
Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary died today. They participated in the Civil Rights marches along side Dr. King and there music helped bring awarness to to his cause. May she rest in peace.

I’m just beside myself. I looked high and low and can’t find that darn white robe and the matching white hood. Oh dear. And I can’t remember if I am supposed to use light starch or heavy. Are pearls appropriate or not? They are, after all, white.
Sadly, this diminishes real problems and real racism. We have problems that are never going to get talked out or worked through or resolved if we scar each other before we begin.
Obama still has not had “the talk” with us. You know, the one about the birds and the bees and the facts of life. He wants to avoid it and pretend it doesn’t exist, until he needs ole black jo to come to help him out when the going gets tough. Then, it is Whitey cop is a raaaacccist. Helps with his street creds. It amazes me that black people are so easily manipulated. Really. Can’t they see it? BHO was selected by white guys to pretend to care about poor people and minorities, all the while grabbing power and giving back money to his best buds - like Tony Rizzo(millions to a white guy) and now George Soros (billions to a white guy).
And, oops, another one under the bus. Bybye ACORN.
devildog, I get your attempt at humor but it doesn’t transcribe well here, as in on a blog. I agree with your post, but just can’t find any humor in the hood remark.
Just read another editorial over at the American Prospect telling us we are all racists. That must be the WH talking points! Let’s see, Maureen Dowd, check, Jimmy Carter, check, the black caucus, check, Maxine Waters, check. Hey, they forgot Al Sharpton!
Honestly, I don’t see how this is going to get them their obscene health care bill because, frankly, I don’t give a rats a** any more how many times they say “tea bagger” and “racist”. It has stopped mattering to me.
Sadly, the real problems will keep going on and the discussion won’t happen.
White woman for President 2012. Nobody is going to harp about the glass ceiling once we break it.
All this racism talk just shows they have nothing left to argue about. A failed administration after only 8 months.
excellent point harp.
Dear President Obama,
I would ask you listen to the words of White Buffalo Calf Woman, and speak soon to our nation, as a whole, just as Americans not divided by race or any other faction. You campaigned on hope and change. TO condemn a group of people for disagreement is not hopeful, and only changes the rules, to favor one party over another.
When one sits in the Hoop Of The People,
one must be responsible because
All of Creation is related.
And the hurt of one is the hurt of all.
And the honor of one is the honor of all.
from your own speech on race:
I ask you to walk in courage soon; you have the responsibility. You asked for it; it was given to you by the people.
Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.
Chief Seattle, 1854
Both of these gentlemen are old enough to remember that the Democratic Party was the party of the KKK.
It was LBJ, a white southerner, that pushed for the passage of the Civil Rights laws now on the books.
I remember joking during the campaign that all words would soon be deemed racist including ‘and’ and
‘the’. It’s not so funny now.
in a way carter reminds of kennedy in that they bought have sacrificed their status and things they have achieved in order to ridicule and belittle plus betray the very american people they sought to serve and one point in time.
I have a black friend, a very successful attorney, Harvard Graduate, who has wrestled with the problem his whole life, still is wrestling with it: Every time he gets shit on, he thinks it’s cause he’s black. I tell him, everybody gets shit on, it’s just the way of the world, but he can’t get it through his head. Probably never will. I think you can give Rep. Johnson the benefit of the doubt and maybe at least consider he’s sincere in his belief that Wilson’s outburst was racially motivated, even though I agree that he (Johnson) is dead wrong. As for Jimmy Carter, what a national embarrassment he’s become.
As a race or a people you can either let your leaders define who you are, your own inner community teachings of history or your religion; if those teachings do not support the group to create a strong independent people, then the teachings are not created to serve the people, they are created to use the people to fuel someone else’s needs, whatever they may be. You make a good observation Lou. How a person chooses to define themselves, stays with them forever.
Well, it is one thing to think Wilson may have been racially motivated (silly though I think that is), but it’s another thing entirely to suggest people will be scampering down to Linens ‘n Things for sheets and “riding through the countryside” intimidating people.
Just who is supposed to do THAT?
What an insult to people of good will who happen to be white and probably pulled the lever for Obama. Of course, Johnson didn’t make any distinctions, did he?
tell you what lou, let them give us the benefit of the doubt. till then hexx no!
Schwarzenegger demands ACORN investigation… Developing…

Why do we care what Jimmia Carter thinks. He was a blithering idiot as president and though not thought possible has become an even bigger idiot as ex-president. Makes me think that eating peanuts is not good for your intelligence.
It seems obvious that Johnson has never actually seen anyone in the KKK. White uniforms? Poor white trash could barely afford sheets. I think we can all agree that trash comes in all colors right, Mr. Johnson?
These apparently were the latest talking points handed down from the White House.
Marc Crispn Miller is using that on his blog and William Rivers Pitt also is calling PROTESTERS at the TEA PARTY, “Klan without the sheets”

How many white, middle-aged, overweight, pissed-off right-wingers does it take to unscrew a light bulb?
Depends on who you ask.
Organizers for this past weekend’s anti-Obama protest in Washington, DC, were slinging around crowd-size estimates of two million people before the curtain was thankfully drawn on the thing, despite the fact that the number was actually in the vicinity of 30,000. They were in the nation’s capitol, so they said, to protest against too much governmental control over the lives of Americans, to protest taxation in general, to screech about birth certificates, to denounce President Obama and to see and be seen amid a throng of fat, white people who look just like them.”
http://markcrispinmiller.com/2009/09/a-klan-rally-minus-the-bedsheets-and-torches/
Are they amazing or what. They will stoop as low as scum in a sewer to justify their end. And I am tired of their hate and no problem calling innocent people such things for politics. How dare they. They all should be ashamed. And we all have to call each and every one of them out on it.
So, I guess the 67 percent of voters who disagree with this assessment, according to Rasmussen, are really the R-word types…
Lets look at the facts. Whites spread their last vote out to members of every race and party, including Obama. They did NOT let race determine their vote, as a whole. Nearly ALL blacks that could vote voted for Obama. They DID let race determine their vote. So who is more racist? The cry of racism NOW is absurd because racism is WHY he got elected in the first place. Remember, black solidarity is simply another name for racism perpetrated by blacks against those who aren’t black.
exactly; frankly, i was surprised and disappointed that blacks voted as a block, based on the race of the candidates. as you mentioned, neither women nor whites voted entirely based on the biology of the candidates, and if this country is ever going to move beyond its racial divisions, non-whites as well as whites are going to have to judge others with the same fairness that they want to receive. and the white apologists and race baiters need to realize that they are making things worse, not better. not going to happen any time soon, i understand, because the racism screams are a psychological compulsion that is not subject to rational treatment.
Where is Obama on this baloney? Nobody seems to respect him. An ex-President steps on his toes and usurps his role as sitting President. A pathetic loser governor of NY links his toilet bowl approval ratings to Obama’s victim status. His own party paints him as a ‘Race Cripple’ who can’t fend for himself despite all the power granted him under Article II.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at Rep. Johnson — I can see he’s a sad, wounded man. But he doesn’t get it. POTUS is supposed to be an Icon of Power, not Pathos. Attacks should bounce off POTUS like gnat bites on a titanium hide. FDR concealed his polio because he understood POTUS must project strength, not evoke sympathy. The U.S. is now represented on the world stage by a victim?
And why? Because of a health bill that has no public option, that’s not universal, that caves to pharma on volume discounts and caves to the right on immigration and abortion funding.
Remember we talked about dog psychology when Obama bowed to the Saudi King? President Obama bowed to the Right on immigration, abortion funding and the public option. If Wilson shouted at a sitting President, maybe it was an instinctual aggressive response to Obama’s weakness, not his race.
Wilson is much ado about nothing. Who can forget Cheney telling someone to go Cheney themselves? Or Reid calling Bush a loser. LOL, or Senator Charles Sumner who was beaten with a cane until he was unconscious by Representative Preston Brooks?
THE ONE THING THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO OVERLOOK IS THE FACT THAT OBAMA IS HALF WHITE .HAD HE BEEN BORN HIS MOTHERS COLOR INSTEAD OF HIS FATHERS, WOULD AA’S STILL HAVE BEEN SO ANXIOUS TO ELECT HIM? WOULD THE MSM STILL HAVE OVERLOOKED THE OBVIOUS..LIKE HIS PAST ASSOCIATIONS, HIS THIN RESUME, HIS FALSE PROMISES? WOULD THEY STILL BE CALLING US RACISTS? I DOUBT IT. IN FACT I DOUBT HE’D EVEN HAVE MADE THRU THE PRIMARIES. HE IS WHO HE IS REGARDLESS OF WHAT COLOR HE IS..AND THATS THE WORST PRESIDENT WE HAVE EVER HAD.
