It doesn’t relate in the smallest way to SF in the 70’s, I lived there, with my gay father, and by god I remember and will never forget. How dare she use, the gay community and the death of Harvey Milk as a presumption of support for the health care bill. That is what she is doing. Fashioning language not only to incite further violence from her own b.s. but taking a huge assumption about the L.G.B.T. community with her, this way if anyone on this side screams out it proves we are nothing more than racist, hating types, I mean after all we would then be disagreeing with a black president(therefore the black community) and acting like gay bashers during the height of the initial aids epidemic, so it “proves” how uncivilized and, “redneck” we are. She is pathetic is this attempt and assumption regarding the LGBT community just as so many have been regarding the American Black community opinion; it appears the democrats are the ones assuming all people of a specific group feel and are the same. They are all truly a bunch of asses in racist clothing.

There were some mighty interesting comments there, too, particularly one abt how peaceful the protest was, and how people even cleaned up after themselves, so just HOW does that equate to the violence in SF in the ’70’s??

But Cathnealon, this isn’t “politics as usual” – it is SO much MORE than the usual!!! THat Obama 0 SUCH a giver! Ahem. And, blech.

That is so disturbing abt the college loan programs. You are EXACTLY right abt the level of sensitive financial information parents have to submit, and yes, it is scary as crap that all of that will become available to them.

Dang, we really MUST keep a close eye on these people. They will get into all kinds of shenanigans if we don’t…

Pelosi–”tone down the rhetoric”–what the hell??She’s the one that initiated the attacks against the taxpayers at the townhall meetings.
And yes, b mathews, all of this was out there during the primaries–but with Axelrod and 675 million they were able to raise an iron curtanin between us and the truth.

Yes–that’s exactly what BO is doing–the House just passed a bill today for the government to take over the student loan industry–no more private lenders–all aid will go through the government. The schools will be allocated funds and they will have to determine, according to BO’s guidelines, what students get help. This is frightening, the info we parents have to fill out for grants and loans on the FAFSA is very private(tax retruns, etc), now they will have access–how much more can we take from this adminsitration that promised no more politics as usual. Apparently not, now we have complete government control as opposed to half.
