ACORN’s Pride in Quality Control + More Videos To Come

If you are part of the

Fifty-one percent (51%) of U.S. voters now say Congress should end all federal funding of the controversial community organizing group ACORN.

or the

Fifty-seven percent (57%) of all voters also believe that the ongoing criminal investigations of ACORN in several states are primarily the result of illegal behavior on the organization’s part.

after seeing what happened in those ACORN office videos (see here, here, here, here and here), you can now rest easy. ACORN wants you to know that no loans were given to that video wielding duo. No applications were filed. No paper work filled out. And, thank goodness, ACORN’s multi-layered 12 step quality control process was in place. Oh and, they are going to conduct an internal investigation.
____
ACORN spokesperson Scott Levenson explains it all on Dylan Ratigan’s Morning Meeting Sep. 14th:

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

___
But if those faux brothel/trafficking entrepreneur applicants didn’t actually fill out any forms, or pay any of the fees or dues needed to initiate the application process, couldn’t that also be why no loan was given? Just wondering.

Bertha Lewis, ACORN’s new CEO, discusses ACORN’s bipartisan nature and professional standards on The Ed Show Sep 16th:

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

___
Now, I have to say, I agree with Betha Lewis, when she says “some of these people need to get their mouths washed out with soap.”  Though a good deal of soap might be needed and I rather doubt we are thinking of applying it to the same people.

And you can clearly see in these two, extended versions of the San Bernardino video’s – a multi-layed application process is the key to a well run ACORN office.

From BIGGOVERNMENT:

___
And don’t forget the value of introductions to friendly neighbors.  Particularly, ones that know their community and how to run “the” local business.

___
Yes, I have to say, as I watched each and every one of those ACORN office videos, paperwork was my number one concern. Prostitution, trafficking in children for sex, murder, extortion… no need to worry about any of those. It’s all talk. Just talk.

Andrew Breitbart discusses ACORN lies, CNN and ABC’s lack of coverage and says more videos to Come.

Acorn and some in the media are trying to trash Hannah and James by saying they went to dozens, hundreds of offices, where they were thrown out.

I read somewhere that they went to hundreds, and finding 4 bad seeds does not a corrupt company make.

They are flat out lying – they said they did get thrown out of several but not two dozen.

I’d say their odds are quite high.

That said, I want to know, but they aren’t saying, how many people the LEft interviewed at the Tea Parties before they found someone who said something off color.

I want to know how many signs they saw at the tea parties before they saw the few controversial ones that they highlighted on their news programs.

I saw the pics and there were thousands of signs, and THOUSANDS of people.
http://iowntheworld.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/capitol-view-lo-res.jpg

The media handpicked the few that they captured on camera (sought out), and highlighted those. But yet they never told us how many they had to interview/see to find those ones. (How many people focused on the Bury Obamacare with Kennedy? That was distributed by some Anti-abortion group, who went there to hand them out. That sure made the news…)

But they try to discredit Hannah and James…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-1Q5bVTjpQ&feature=player_embedded (Mark Lamont Hill is a flat out liar!)

Finding JUST ONE employee that will condone child prostitution slavery is horrible. They found MANY.

Can you imagine if Hannah and James had the means to visit hundreds of offices?

Here is something else Sara – the Census dropped Acorn – but they had already used ACORN as pre census canvassers. They went door to door in neighborhoods. Everyones neighborhoods. Everyones. Think about it. How comfortable does that make you feel.

Comment by Diana L. C. | 2009-09-19 11:12:35

I guess I live in a neighborhood out here in Colorado where they will just send the form. But I had already prepared my speech about NOT talking with someone if they admitted that they were actually working for ACORN.

Comment by felizarte | 2009-09-19 12:45:05

The pre-census is just to identify residential addresses. I think that part of the process is to make sure vacant properties or commercial buildings are not included in the mailers.

Comment by Linda Anselmi | 2009-09-19 15:12:32

I spoke to some people who are census takers. They had to physically walk the neighborhoods. But I had one ring my door bell to give me a sheet explaining who he was. Very strange.

sara,

I saw that segment on O’Reilly, too, and I was AGAIN ready to bash in my t.v. screen. I am so frightened by that MSNBC faux interview. I have no hope now that our country can be pulled out of this total take over by the crazies.

Comment by Chris | 2009-09-19 12:50:35

They had to work really hard to find any objectionable signs among those hundreds of thousands of patriots in DC last week. I was there and it was a completely genuine, happy and focused, rally with no trouble anywhere that I saw and I walked it twice. The security folks were ecstatic that they had little to do but help people find their way if lost. Garbage was cleaned up and placed by trash cans. Honestly, there should have been much more said about how terrific everyone was who attended. Even Fox didn’t do them justice. Of course, we know the msm couldn’t stand to report the whole truth or risk the wrath of the Obama machine. Cowards all of them. I was never prouder to be an American.

I can not believe Bill O’Reilly repeated Mark Lamont Hill’s statement that Hanna and James visited many offices. Bill just took Hill’s statement as fact! No verification on Bill’s part! He calls himself “fair and balanced”???

Sean Hannity had Andrew Breibart and Hannah on his show, a couple of days later. Sean asked them point blank, how many offices they visited, how many threw them out? The answer is 0, that is ZERO offices threw them out. Every ACORN office they visited was more than happy to “advice” them.

Bill O’Reilly needs to step away from the Kool-Aid.

Comment by American Girl in Italy | 2009-09-19 15:16:26

I know! i figured Bill didn’t know, and he believed Mark when he lied.

They did get tossed from a few offices, but less than 2 dozen. I have no idea the actual number, but it wasn’t a lot.

Probably the greatest trajedy of this whole slimy episode is what legitimate charities could have accomplished with the resources that have been squandered!
Habitat involves their applicants in the process. They contribute to the work on their houses and receive counseling to insure they succeed as home owners.
The political activities of ACORN are corrupt, and the participants are a shameful assortment of free-loaders!

Comment by candymarl | 2009-09-19 09:58:01

ACORN is in full damage control mode now. They can’t dispute what’s on the tapes so they resort to the GWB administration’s mantra of “a few bad apples”.

I agree with sarainitaly. One employee willing to participate in the trafficking of children is one too many.

The employees that were shown on the tapes seemed unfazed by the requests to cover up both child and adult prostitution. I think their main problem here is that they can’t cry racism although they tried at the beginning of the scandal.

The children being offered for trafficking were non-white and the initial, but perhaps not only, willing ACORN advisers were non-white. Therein lies the rub.

Comment by Georgia | 2009-09-19 10:05:16

I’m a conservative Christian and find the actions of ACORN beyond despicable. But, I feel sorry for the ACOM employees that were thrown under the bus. The lady in Baltimore was the one that really touched my heart. It was obvious she was trying to please, took pride in her work, was very knowledgeable, one problem….. her efforts were totally misplaced. If she was working for a legit business, I can see her being a valued employee. It obvious she was working in an atmosphere of total corruption, kinda’ like a Robin Hood mentality only much more sinister. She was tainted to such an extent that she didn’t have any 2nd thoughts about the advice she was giving. Her job, as she saw it, was to advise her clients what was in their best interest and from her corrupt perspective she did just that. There are so many victims in this story beginning with the employees themselves. They work in an atmosphere of perceived anarchy where up is down and black is white, and the ends always justify means. I’d love to see her “deprogrammed” and watch what she is capable of.

Comment by candymarl | 2009-09-19 11:38:50

Oh they’re Robin Hood all right. They rob from the ‘hood and give to themselves. I grew up in the inner city so I’m just sayin’.

With one exception, I stopped watching CNN a long time ago, that being the Lou Dobbs program. To his credit and not to CNN itself, has aired the Acorn situation and reported honestly. The rest of CNN has not. CNN rating numbers are down and we should continue to avoid all of rest of their shows and only tune into the Lou Dobbs broadcast and build his numbers.

Comment by snosandy | 2009-09-19 11:17:03

Lou Dobbs is the ONLY show I will tune into on CNN too. And I try to turn it on every day that I am home at that time to help with his numbers.

Comment by elizabethrc | 2009-09-19 13:55:50

It’s only a matter of time before Lou Dobbs switches to FOX. CNN will not be able to tolerate his honesty much longer and their loss will be our gain when he moves to FOX.
Scott Levenson, ACORN’s mouthpiece is so sleazy and his condescenting attitude is what one would expect of a con man. He is revolting to listen to and even tolerate. He fits perfectly with the emerging picture of this money hungry, criminal enterprise. They try to talk over and shout out objections, but finally commentators are not letting them get away with it. Beck actually threw Levenson out of his studio a few weeks ago!
As for ‘all the offices that turned the 2 young people away’, Mark Lamont Hill, whom O’Reilly insists on bringing onto his show, though I’ll never know why, said that it was hundreds. Another idiot heard from. Let him prove those numbers. He won’t. He can’t. He’s another of those blowhards who think that every word out of their mouths is a jewel to be preserved in the jello of time. He has one theme and one theme only…blacks are victims, victims, victims. White folks are racists, and poor blacks have done nothing to deserve derision from the white community. Forget the high black crime rate, the high levels of incarceration, the out of wedlock babies, the absent fathers, the high drop out rate for black students. None of this counts. Whites have nothing to complain about!
That argument just won’t wash anymore.

Comment by Onofre's arm | 2009-09-19 15:01:24

Levenson is easily the oiliest weasel to squirm out of ACORN cesspool. He would fit seamlessly in with the characters from “The Sopranos”. He is, after all, a spokesman for a branch of a much larger criminal syndicate.

Daylight is like gangrene to rackets like ACORN, and since O’Keefe and Giles have focused the full strength of the sun on this outfit, the larger body of which ACORN is a part of, will quickly move to amputate the now gangrenous limb, or risk exposure/infection of the entire enterprise. The investigation must not stop with ACORN, but it’s a good start.

I also love how ACORN think it’s a sense of pride to brag how they kicked these 2 out of their offices a number of times. But where is the calls to the police and the police reports? Even if an employee didn’t care about one young adult woman prostituting herself and trying to get a false home loan to buy a house, when “Eden” mentioned underage illegal girls being imported, some employee should’ve thought I need to save those kids and called the police after kicking them out of the office. Or kept them in the office while notifying the police secretly.

I assume if there were 911 calls and police reports on James & Hannah initiated by concerned ACORN employees, ACORN would’ve been crowing about it from the roof tops and asking for the release of those official records. So it tells me that ACORN employees only cared enough to kick them out a few times, but didn’t care enough to help children who were going to be victimized by this couple and others if the story was actually true.

So someone ought to ask ACORN why noone called the police about these two and if they did, where are the records?

Comment by Diana L. C. | 2009-09-19 11:17:04

Absolutely right here! I kept waiting to see them counter with that kind of thing if their statements were correct about how they turned them away so many times. Where is their concern for the communities in which they work that they wouldn’t call the police about this underage sex slave business that might potentially open in their city?

Tresa Kaelke, what a gal. I was shocked when she admitted that she set up the “justifiable” homicide of her husband, but I was more shocked that someone actually married her. Perhaps for her husband, being shot dead was a blessing.

Comment by tango | 2009-09-19 14:23:51

Well apparently Tresa’s husband is alive. He did take out a restraining order against her though. I think Tresa thought if she sympathized and indentified with the customers, she’d motivate them into trusting her and doing business with ACORN. Since ACORN employees get bonuses for more business they bring in, I’m sure Mrs. Kaelke thought if she gave some sob stories, it might help her with business.

This is a part of your money being spent on paying activists on health care.

I saw this on the Liberal Rapture site and thought that it should be posted here.

What Hannah and James did is amazing and they should be so proud of themselves. These two kids have courage and values.
Someone has to throughly investigate all parts of acorn. I do not think it will happen with the backtrack bunch in office. No news agency has the guts to do the right thing and I do not see any independent entity be strong enough to do any investigation.

Comment by Peggy Sue | 2009-09-19 13:49:22

So Acorn’s defense is: don’t trust your lying eyes. The organization is in deep trouble and they know it. And that’s not to say everyone associated with ACORN is crooked. In fact, I remember hearing of three women who had been associated with the group for years, believed in the original mission [to aide and help the poor and disadvantaged] but who had grown increasingly uncomfortable with where the money was going. Think they were senior board members. All three of those women demanded a complete audit.

They were summarily dismissed.

At this point, I think ACORN is acting in the way a criminal syndicate does and has, along with other groups, infected the entire system. All roads lead to DC.

Time to disinfect!

They will use the same defense that they used during their voter registration fraud. Remember, when they said, yes, Mickey Mouse was registered, but he never actually voted!

Same thing with the loans or lack of loans for these two young activists.

ACORN=OBAMA=FRAUD

Last year there were several newscasts and videos of county and state workers trying to clean up the Acorn mess.

There was some videos/newscasts where this was being reported showing the election workers going through all the registrations.

Election workers sorting through was a real registration and what wasn’t real.

Are these sites still up and does anyone have their URL
