I'm not here to sing the praises of George Bush or his cronies, just very much concerned that people like HRC gives further support to the horrors of Frank, Pelosi, and Reid. Do the math on them. Bush is gone. They're in control now. You may not like Republicans, but sooner or later we'll all be wishing McCain had won. The big question is how and who can rein in the likes of ACORN programs and be ready to face the rioting when the spigot is turned off. God willing. God save this country from irresponsible "credit card" users, people without a pot to piss in, yet have no problem having cell phones, bling, and maxed out cable service. How much longer can we do this?? HRC is definitely not the answer.

veritas, I just re-read your comments. "Disgrunted"? I am livid at the prospect that, having abused the power of her office as the DA, Ms. Coakley is now within reach of the U.S. Senate.

Ms. Coakley, less than a year on the job as DA, had a choice to make: investigate charges lodged by an attorney against the Commissioner of DSS by examining this baby - he entered DSS custody at the same time she was elected - or give the agency the "heads up" the complaint had been lodged and cross her fingers, they would not let him die. She chose to cross her fingers.

It's easy to prosecute an au pair, from another country, in whose care the child of a physician died; but to go after a prominent politician from a family of prominent politicians, white; just to save the life of a black baby from a mother who could not take care of herself, let alone him, takes a whole different kind of courage and fealty to elected position.

If Ms. Coakley is willing to make such trade-offs as DA, what on earth is she willing to sacrifice given the power of office inherent in being a U.S. Senator?

She should have considered the consequences to her aspirations for higher office, before she wrote off this one child for political expedience.

Bush added over 5 trillion to the national debt.

He got us into one unnecessary war and let an arrogant imbecile of a Secretary of Defense mismanage it a tremendous human cost. He gutted Fema, he depleted our state side readiness by deploying our NG and their vital equipment to Iraq. He let big Oil and Wall St speculators drive oil prices artificially high and so that Big Oil reaped record profits while with $4 a gallon gas helped drive a stake through the heart of the middle class. He and Cheney were walking disasters.

The only reason to vote for a republic is to purge an democratic incumbent out of office. Then the next task is to vote them out of office.

Name one thing she's done that made ANY difference and I'll donate to her campaign, name two and I'll vote for her. FYI: My money is safe because other than being a woman she's done nothing except collect a paycheck and run around telling everyone that when Teddy dies she's going to be first in line for his seat. Well, Teddy died and less than 24 hours later Coakley makes her announcement..

I should have posted this link instead of the FirstRead one that refers to this article.

http://www.observer.com/2008/emilys-list-trashes-naral-obama-endorsement

As sandi78 points out, "Emilys List is not an abortion rights organization. EL exists to help women candidates get elected." Their mission statement reads: "Emilys List is dedicated to building a progressive America by electing pro-choice democratic women to office."

Emily is an acronym for "Early Money is Like Yeast" (it helps the dough rise.)

You people are idots. Its the Democrats who got us into this big frigging mess and you still want to glorify HRC to sainthood. I don't care how bad G. Bush was and all the mistakes he made, he never created the likes of ACORN, a black hole unstoppable in a Democratic congress. Will this woman stand up and cry out the horrors of this "Free Money" agency? Fuck no. She'll dance around it, and what will she say now about the POS Obama for whom she stumped? You are either politically motivated or a sexist, the country be damned, if you support this person. Here's hoping the 'pubs open up the flood gates on this fraudulent idol to the sexists and the sham would-be politicos - sniper fire, indeed. I hope they make a Youtube video on her harrowing experience with sniper fire, and I hope its as funny as the Pelosi/CIA lying vid with that loony music. Can't wait.

How can you ever forgive this woman for supporting
the ineligible Obama, and she knew he was ineligible during the primaries? Ani, you are no patriot.

Didn't she prosecute the British Au Pair and got a conviction? That was pretty impressive to me. However the judge in the case chose to give a very light sentence, when it was so obvious that the Brit was negligent. The mass media blamed the parents for leaving their child to this Au Pair. Nevertheless, Coakley was outstanding prosecutor. I love her work and I still do...

The highest incidence of child abuse in this country occurs when children are in state custody. CHILDREN 4x MORE LIKELY TO DIE IN STATE FOSTER CARE; THE CRISIS OF FOSTER CARE I accused the head of the agency of taking part in covering up the fact that they had illegally placed a child in the wrong home - illegal, as in, contrary to the laws governing placement of children - and, to cover this up, decided to keep him in the wrong home until they terminated his birth mother's rights and the court dropped out of the picture. Then, they planned to move him into the home he had a right to be in since the state removed the newborn from the custody of his mother. But in the meantime, I uncovered, the foster parents were abusing and neglecting him. Now, to cover up the cover-up, they decided never to move him out of that horrible home.

The head of this agency, a lawyer, is now a judge. He was questioned about this case at his highly publicized contentious confirmation hearing; he lied to the Governor's Council to conceal his culpability. So, yes, Ms. Coakley knew all about this case; nothing fell through the cracks here. But when it came to determining whether to return this one tiny black baby to his rightful home, with his brother, who had told the agency he wanted him, even before he was born, and risk certain exposure and punishment for their malfeasance; or keep him away from his biological family and try to nurse him back to good health, thereby hiding their criminal conduct, all of those white officials involved chose to protect themselves by stealing this poor powerless blessed child from HIS family.

Emily's list definitely supported Hillary- I spent a bit of time with them on the campaign trail- I had a hard time as well with how quickly the women's groups jumped onto the Obama express but they were very helpful and enthusiastic about Hillary-

I am not painting anyone. AFTER her office dismissed the complaint, the agency took the child to the hospital, where he began receiving treatment for failure to thrive. He gained weight "hand over fist," as long as his feeding/eating was being witnessed. But DSS kept him in the same foster home. The spouse of a law professor from my alma mater worked in the DA's office. He explained he could investigate further because the case was too political. He urged me to pursue whatever civil avenues were available.

More than a year later, an angel smuggled his birth records out of the hospital (not the one that later treated him for malnutrition). That's how I can prove my statement, when he was born, he was as healthy as a horse. Yet, I obtained court records stating, he was as sick as a dog; until the foster family got him and nursed him back to health.

If you followed my posts over time, you would know, I am not prone to hyperbolic rants, or exaggeration.

I'm sorry this reference to Emily's List support of Hillary came from "FirstRead" - the MSNBC0BAMA cable outlet's daily propaganda piece.

The article and comments are a sampling of the outrage we all felt about this daily dispicable blog, as well as its author, Chuck Todd, one of 0's most ardent supporters. Chuck's reward for all he did for 0 got him a front-row seat in the daily WH briefing.

I'm happy to tell you, Emily's List did, in fact, endorse Hillary. I googled Emily's List 2008 endorsements. EL is an abortion rights org that endorses "visible" female candidates.

I was fairly certain this was the case.

I thought Emily's List did endorse Hillary. No? If they didn't, that is the last straw! I know, of course, that NARAL and N.O.W. endorsed B0 as their women's candidate. I don't know how they could look each other in the eye. They cannot be seeing the big picture. They absolutely do not understand that in 2009, not only do we not have basic women's rights, we don't even have a plan to get there.

Until women understand that when abortion was legalized, we did not get equal pay for equal work, did not get an end to misogyny or lack of respect as enjoyed by male people, did not get the removal of the glass ceilings for more women executives, did not have an appreciable increase of women in corporate America's board rooms, did not get that many more female elected officials, and the most egregious of all were unable to elect the first woman for POTUS. In fact, the legalization of abortion divided women in half!

Until women understand women's rights are not synonymous with abortion rights, we will stay stuck in time.
