“CBS 2 Mike Flannery reports that the Chicago defeated leaves Obama politically wounded by taking on a fight that he really didn’t have to take.” – CBS2 Chicago’s story on Chicago’s elimination in the FIRST round of IOC voting. If there are similar results from Obama’s efforts with Afghanistan and health care, god help us all!

Nonetheless, this is a moment which allows the president’s detractors to allege waning prestige on the part of his presidency. And it will raise questions about the political advice that he is receiving.”
