Look at Valerie Jarrett Fold on Fox News

Ably assisted by Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy.

Obama’s BFF, or, as Vogue called her, “Barrack’s Rock,” Valerie Jarrett, is continuing the White House’s attack on Fox News. Check out this exchange with Campbell Brown (bonus points if you catch the conundrum when Jarrett is asked about MSNBC!):

More and more media are taking the White House to task for its wholly unfair attempts to censor Fox News. This time it’s the Baltimore Sun’s TV critic David Zurawik in his newspaper blog post, “Another bad moment for White House in war on Fox.” Laudably, Zurawik gives kudos to his commenters’ observations, and makes a critically important point about a historically key phrase that Jarrett abused:

I see many commenters mocking Jarrett’s use of the phrase “speaking truth to power.” Yes, I agree, it deserves to be ridiculed in this context. What’s the great power the White House is fearlessly standing up to — a cable channel? I think such a phrase from our collective past that has real resonance because it was once loaded with such intergrity, moral authority and wisdom when first uttered, is cheapened when used in such a blantantly and inappropriate political context. Thanks for noticing, folks.

Here’s the beginning of Zurawik’s column:

The White House keeps up its attack on Fox News as biased in this video with Valerie Jarrett, another senior adviser to President Obama making the claim. But watch how fast Jarrett folds when CNN anchor Campbell Brown asks her if pro-administration MSNBC isn’t just as biased. MSNBC is one of the giant holes in the administration’s argument that Fox isn’t a “real” news organization and should be ostracized. Worse, the administration’s acceptance of MSNBC and attack on Fox show how intellectually inconsistent and hypocritical the White House is willing to be in trying to bully the press and shut down criticism. …

Why the White House persists in making this losing argument is anybody’s guess. … And kudos to Brown and CNN for taking the journalistic high road and asking such questions rather than remaining silent on the matter and trying to take advantage of the White House attack on a competitor. ….

The only thing I’ve been able to figure out is that the White House thinks it has such a monster bully pulpit that it can so influence citizens that they will begin to feel uncomfortable watching Fox News and listening to the likes of Rush Limbaugh.

If the White House has that almighty bully pulpit, it could make people ashamed of their news/opinion-gathering habits, and — heaven forbid — afraid to admit to anyone that they watch or listen to conservatives.

The problem with the White House’s message is that it is confusing. Only the primetime Fox shows are clearly conservative. The rest of the time, most Fox News reporting is a lot like any other network’s.

Then there’s the inherent insult in the White House’s message: That BIG BROTHER OBAMA has to protect us by warning us about what to watch and listen to. Hey. I’ve listened to Limbaugh off and on for years, and he’s never persuaded me one way or another.

Like Valerie Jarrett said, “Americans are smarter than that.” Yes we are, Ms. Jarrett.

As it turns out, I have a mind of my own, for pete’s sake. In fact, I often watch some MSNBC TV (but never Olbermann, yech) because it’s something different to take in. But they no more persuade me than Fox News does.

My hunch is that all of you have a mind of your own, too. We don’t need to be forcibly protected from certain forces in a free media by our government, the concept of which has its own resonance, and it is NOT a warm and fuzzy one.

This woman continues to “step in it”–responsible for Van Jones, the Olympics escapade and who knows what else.

The RBO website did an excellent job on her background in Chicago. She’s another selfish elitist.

Comment by morris1030 | 2009-10-28 22:39:57

Valerie is all over the place and is one of Obama’s Chicago cadre who is very ham handed. Her self righteousness is amateurish, angry, and school marm stuff. This is not how experienced and savvy media people handle themselves. She’s already an irritant and den mother.

Her attack on Fox “and anyone else, blah, blah”, is downright embarrassing and does not increase any good will for the Obama White House. She’s coming off as elitist and tough, but tough in the wrong way for the wrong reasons.

Obama has no experience and we’re seeing that his elite Chicago handlers have none as well. This is not a good thing.

Comment by tek | 2009-10-29 08:28:11

Agreed. Her blathering when asked about MSNBC is just embarrassing for her. Obama can’t figure out that being a hypocrite doesn’t work. He’s trying so hard to be the “tough, Chicago politician (mobster) he has no objectivity at all.

As for his inept staff at the WH they all see themselves in his place in the near future. Not.

Valerie Jarrett and her friends, inclucing POTUS, all live in a little vacuum. They have no concept of the rest of the people in the U.S.

Yes, Bronwyn, I do have a mind, and I don’t need the W.H. to tell me how to use it.

Comment by Tammy | 2009-10-28 22:37:37

Yeah. Jarrett said, “Let’s just talk about the facts”.

Um, you have NEVER talked about “the facts, Jarrett, and you never will. Your administration is trying to cram through a 1500 page bill that no one in congress has read, which favors unions, will cut Medicare and will raise insurance rates for all.
The facts? You don’t know anything but propoganda.

Valerie Jerrett is just another brick in the wall.

So true, I can exercise that remote to change channels or block stations I do not favor, which both cnn and msnbc are blocked. During the last administration, Fox was blocked. Don’t silence the critics, don’t listen to them or watch them if you don’t like them; kind of like freedom of choice, free will, being an adult able to decide for myself and all that good stuff. The WH seems to be overrun with a lot of tantruming 2 year old types.

Comment by Peggy Sue | 2009-10-28 20:15:18

The only thing I can figure out is that this is some sort of distraction because beyond that it makes no sense.

Jarret gets tangled up in the MSNBC question, retreats and says they’re making assessments on a show by show basis [after stating that yes, of course, Fox News is biased], and then contradicts her statement that the American people are “smarter than that.” If she truly believes we’re smarter then certainly we don’t need a babysitter when it comes to getting our news updates and analyses. No Big Daddy, thank you very much!

Why send in the WH brass in to attack Fox News? What is there to gain? With every attack, Fox’s ratings go up. With every attack, even those who aren’t Fox groupies are coming to the organization’s defense.

I don’t get it. Unless it’s the classic sleight of hand move. Pay attention to this hand, folks, while we pick your pocket with the other.

And then, I heard Glenn Beck say the same thing. Scary thing when you’re mind-melding with Beck :0).

Good article, Bronwyn!

Comment by Jack | 2009-10-28 22:11:14

1. The intent is to keep the non-Fox media in line with Obama, by provoking liberal shame at being id’d with Fox.

2. Her comment “truth to power” is an old student Vietnam protester self-congratulation. It is laughable because she is the power.

Comment by Peggy Sue | 2009-10-28 23:20:17

I agree, Jack. The “truth to power” statement was totally stupid. Where do these people think they are??

The WH “is” the power. Are they against themselves now?

They better start realizing that they’re in the leadership chair. This is not a student protest.

This is why you don’t elect a rank amatuer, kiss your pinkie finger and hope it all works out.

Adolescent to the extreme. And dangerous.

Wait a minute! Isn’t she supposed to be the female Female Czar or something? Shouldn’t she have couched FOX’s alleged bias in terms of the adverse impact such bias has on women? Or, having taken leave of that brand new role to head up the unsuccessful efforts to bring the Olympics to Chicago, did she forget where her old office was located?

Comment by tek | 2009-10-29 08:32:37

Seriously, I think this is just Obama’s heavy-handedness. He doesn’t have the finesse the Clinton’s had in dealing with opposition, he’s a GWB kind of guy–you’re either for him or against him and he will brook no opposition. Someone forgot to tell him that’s totalitarianism, not democracy.

The only thing I’ve been able to figure out is that the White House thinks it has such a monster bully pulpit that it can so influence citizens that they will begin to feel uncomfortable watching Fox News and listening to the likes of Rush Limbaugh.

I think it’s more basic than that–they pulled the wool over the collective eyes of 69,000,000 members of the electorate simply by talking (and talking), pointing fingers, and prevaricating. That they are continuing to bamboozle a large part of the public with their empty words, blame-shifting, and histrionics gives them no reason to change their strategy.

Comment by Hillary or Bust | 2009-10-28 20:39:42

I do know quite a few liberals who only get their news from a selected number of biased sources, who are still consumed with Bush-hatred, and who get excited about little symbolic things like the hate crime bill. It’s these folks the Fox feud panders to.

From seeing how Anita Dunn worships Mao Tse Tung, I have half a mind that this feud shows that a lot of the people running the White House are out of touch liberals who really believe this malarkey. THEY SAY THIS STUFF BECAUSE THEY CAN’T HELP THEMSELVES!

As for Obama himself, I can’t figure out if he’s just a megalomaniacal liberal, a puppet who is using the liberals, or both.

“We’re going to speak truth to power” ? (or whatever she said). What the heck does that mean?

Well, isn’t she a fine propagandist. Going on and on about how they are just bringing out the “truth” and being “honest” - it’s all just propaganda.

What I truly hate about their approach is that there is no respect for opposing viewpoints from the WH. They don’t listen to the people. They still want to push through a healthcare plan that the majority of Americans DO NOT WANT. They won’t listen. If you protest, they’ll call you a liar and say you are “scaring seniors to death.” (Very patronizing, that part.)

I do love the fact that despite all this, Fox’s ratings are at an all-time high, and CNN’s at an all-time low (bottom for all the networks now).

Fox is blowing the other news networks out of the water.

And I purposefully now go visit FoxNews.com every day just to spite Obama.

What a bunch of maroons.

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/27/grim_proving_ground_for_obamas_housing_policy/

“mong those tied to Obama politically, personally, or professionally are:

Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to Obama’s presidential campaign and a member of his finance committee. Jarrett is the chief executive of Habitat Co., which managed Grove Parc Plaza from 2001 until this winter and co-managed an even larger subsidized complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006, after city inspectors found widespread problems.”

“age 2 of 9 –

Allison Davis, a major fund-raiser for Obama’s US Senate campaign and a former lead partner at Obama’s former law firm. Davis, a developer, was involved in the creation of Grove Parc and has used government subsidies to rehabilitate more than 1,500 units in Chicago, including a North Side building cited by city inspectors last year after chronic plumbing failures resulted in raw sewage spilling into several apartments.

Antoin “Tony” Rezko, perhaps the most important fund-raiser for Obama’s early political campaigns and a friend who helped the Obamas buy a home in 2005. Rezko’s company used subsidies to rehabilitate more than 1,000 apartments, mostly in and around Obama’s district, then refused to manage the units, leaving the buildings to decay to the point where many no longer were habitable.

Campaign finance records show that six prominent developers - including Jarrett, Davis, and Rezko - collectively contributed more than $175,000 to Obama’s campaigns over the last decade and raised hundreds of thousands more from other donors. Rezko alone raised at least $200,000, by Obama’s own accounting.

One of those contributors, Cecil Butler, controlled Lawndale Restoration, the largest subsidized complex in Chicago, which was seized by the government in 2006 after city inspectors found more than 1,800 code violations.

Butler and Davis did not respond to messages. Rezko is in prison; his lawyer did not respond to inquiries.

Jarrett, a powerful figure in the Chicago development community, agreed to be interviewed but declined to answer questions about Grove Parc, citing what she called a continuing duty to Habitat’s former business partners.”

Unless BO counts as friends, people like Valerie Jarret, who when told of the conditions of the Resko apartments in her district by the police Sargent of the ward, tells BO there is heat coming rather than tell him their buddy Rezko is making people suffer. NOPE. They all looked the other way and made a profit on misery’s back.

Seriously disturbing it is when a person of immoral character like BO is elected to office on a lie.

The big battle is over Fox’s attention to ACORN. The WH needs ACORN for the 2010 elections and needs to have them funded by taxpayer’s dollars. Here is an email that ACORN sent out today against FOX. This whole movement is to try to get Obama’s precinct organization (ACORN) funded by the American people. Read this note that went out to nearly every democrat email list today.

From: Bertha Lewis, ACORN
Date: 10/28/2009 2:53:39 PM

As you know, for over a month — really, for years — ACORN has been in the crosshairs of Fox “News”. As part of a full-scale propaganda war, the ACORN attack videos served as excuses for politicians to go after the federal grants ACORN used to help people avoid foreclosure, conduct fire prevention, and help rebuild the Gulf Coast.

But this isn’t just about ACORN. The extremists at Fox and their echo chamber have gone after other community organizations and Green Jobs Czar Van Jones, have worked to disrupt this summer’s health care town halls, and made a hero out of a Congressman who shouted “You lie” at President Obama . All because they want to stop the President and derail his agenda of health care reform, green jobs, and accountability for the bankers who destroyed our economy.

This week, pushed by Fox’s extremist propaganda, Congress is gearing up to vote against ACORN again. Fox isn’t just toxic for ACORN’s constituency of working families, it is toxic for America. Anti-ACORN amendments are holding up all kinds of legislation, including extending Unemployment Insurance. Millions of unemployed Americans are being stopped from getting extensions of their benefits because of Fox’s attacks.

But you can help “DeFOX America”.

Our friends at Brave New Films have produced a video about the Fox attacks on ACORN, including the “enemies list” that Glenn Beck crreated on his blackboard. Watch the video, then tell Congress to stand up to Glenn Beck and Fox and their enemies list and vote against unconstitutional attempts to single out an individual organization as part of a political witch-hunt.

Since the attacks on ACORN — conveniently timed to the day after President Obama’s speech on healthcare — we have taken responsibility for the actual issues raised by the videos. These have included firing the staff involved, suspending all new service provision, and initiating a full review by an independent investigator, Scott Harshbarger, the former Massachusetts Attorney General. These steps have been ignored by outlets like Fox. Their real agenda is to silence the voice of ACORN’s 500,000 member families.

You can take a stand and start the De-FOXification of America. Foward this email to your friends, then click here to tell Congress that “enough is enough” and to vote against the newest attempt to take away ACORN’s Federal grant funding.

With your help we can get America off Fox and Congress back doing the people’s business.

I saw on Fox last night, I think it was on Greta, that the de-funding of ACORN expires Saturday. Because Congress is not yet ready with a budget for this fiscal year (which ended Sept 30,) they issued a continuance through October. It was that continuance that de-funded ACORN. In all probability the new continuance they will have to pass to get through November will just be an extension of this one and will not restore funding to ACORN. It will be when the new budget is passed that we will have to be vigilant about ACORN funding–according to the man Greta interviewed. (Sorry, I don’t remember his name, but he was from the Washington Examiner and I think he’s a regular guest.) I think we should stay vigilant now, just in case…

“More and more media are taking the White House to task for its wholly unfair attempts to censor Fox News.”

I’m not aware of any attempt to censor anybody. There’s a vast difference between censoring a network and clearly stating what it is you believe that network to be doing. Their continuous attacks on the White House and its policies should go unanswered?

Apparently some believe the White House and it’s official and non-official spokespersons’ opinions concerning FOX News should be censored.

Comment by Ferd Berfle | 2009-10-28 20:48:07

This tempest in a teapot is just diversion, irrespective of your ill-considered opinion to the contrary. We’ve got significant problems and Fox isn’t one of them. That One and staff are making the West Wing look abysmally silly with this crock of steaming manure masquerading as an important issue for the WH to address. It’s silly and shallow–which is a true image of your idol.

Comment by Jillie | 2009-10-28 21:09:06

the real problem with fox news is that the administration can no longer control the message. listen to dunn and see how they viewed the press..something to ignore, step aside, get around to be able to set forth positions without any challenge.

now, that they have some challengers, in the form of fox and some others, i might add, they say ‘don’t pay attention to that man (bo) behind the curtain..just pay attention to the dribble we give you.

it’s not a winning strategy and will, in the long run, make the pos look more petty and paranoid than he already does.

Have you heard the term “chilling effect”? In First Amendment law, it refers to practices likely to trigger self-censorship.

You should really be more careful with the accusations you make about lying. There are actually a lot of people who don’t make a habit of it, though that seems to be getting rarer as time goes by. I’m sometimes wrong, but I don’t lie.

Comment by elizabethrc | 2009-10-29 09:38:32

Ziggy, you don’t get it. Don’t you see that in criticizing FOX’s ‘bias’, they are sending a clear message to stop watching FOX?
The WH is free to answer any of FOX’s charges, (Beck has his red phone, which remains unused by the White House…a sure sign of cowardice), but instead of refuting any facts, they go into attack mode against the ideological bent of the station. And you can be sure that every station has a particular ‘bent’. Look at MSNBC, where Matthews stated clearly that it is his job to get Obama elected!
And still the WH does not answer one charge against them directly..not one.
It is fresh air that FOX is giving this nation. In exposing the calibre of people Obama has around him, influencing him, America is one step closer to protecting democracy. This WH is determined to destroy our current form of government and their alternative is unacceptable to Americans at large. I long for 2010 and 2012 when all of us will be able to breathe more easily and the putrid aid is gone.

Comment by Ani | 2009-10-29 11:50:41

Whatever one thinks of Beck, that is a good point. He is so vocal and eccentric that it would be very easy to take Beck down on the facts. If they chose to do so — they could wreck his credibility and soapbox. Yet they don’t. They have not refuted him. Don’t you think the WH or Pr. Obama’s supporters would have done so by now if they could. I wonder why they don’t refute specific charges if he is fabricating stories.

Regarding news networks, the WH has no business sticking their nose into this and creating a “furor” where none needs to exist. Also, I know for a fact that many of the “little” people behind the scenes at Fox are democrats and have treated dem participants with fairness and respect.

As for the nightly or daily or whatever opinion talk shows, they have the right to say what they damn well wish as long as they make it clear they are not news shows. However if one doesn’t agree with the opinions or doesn’t want to watch. it’s easy to exercise the OFF finger.

Comment by b mathews | 2009-10-29 15:06:09

at least fox news has both parties represented. msnbc (olbermann and mathews never have anyone on that has a different opinion from thiers). thier shows are very one sided. (the obama side). which is why i stopped watching them. how can anyone make up thier own minds when msnbc only tells you the WH talking points. its almost like they get a list of talking points every morning and and just keep repeating the same b/s over and over on every show they appear on. if you notice..they all say the same thing, like they are all reading from the same script. at least on fox you get to hear both sides of the arguement and can then make up your own mind. maybe thats why the WH is trying so hard to silence them or anyone else who criticizes them. i have been a lifelong democrat up until the 2008 election farce and will be voting a straight republican or independent ticket in the next 2 elections. i never thought the day would come when i would (almost) prefer bush to this faker in chief.

We’re going to speak truth to power”.

What exactly did she mean by this?

This is what I believe was meant by this statememt…

“Well yeah FOX is telling the truth, but this administration is more powerful”.

I could be wrong, but that is how I take that statement. It has also been the administrations attitude towards anyone who questions or critisizes them.

What makes me laugh is they believe that average american will say, well the president and his staff say they are telling the truth (and we just believe them). They truly seem to believe that is all they have to say and we will believe them, while that is true for the hardcore Obama and Democrats supporters, what they fail to realize or accept as fact is a lot of those questioning this administration and Obama’s policies are not Republicans (as they want to believe), they are independents, Democrats and former Democrats. But alas they will learn that the hard way.

I did not vote for Obama and I am no longer a member of that Democratic party and I am a fan of FOX News.I used to be a Democrat but was driven out of the party when Obama literaly comandeered the entire party with his so called ccoolness. The guy was a liar and has cost the Democratic party many members and lots of donations.

This is a lose lose situation for the White House, too bad they are too stoopid to realize it.
I guess they thought they could barge in and bully Fox like they did the little old ladies in the caucuses.
Not that I have any love for Fox News, because the enemy of my enemy are a bunch of enema nozzles.

Credit where credit is due to Campbell Brown for the follow-up questioning, something 99% of our current “journalists” have forgotten how to do.

campbell brown is just another WH shill who is only trying to increase her crappy ratings by pretending to suddenly start questioning the WH to make it seem like she’s fair and balanced. sorry campbell, too little to late. you already showed your true colors during the primary when you trashed hillary clinton. that said it all.

I wouldn’t be so quick to start a love-fest with Campbell Brown. She is married to Dan Senor, a GOP strategist and FOX News contributor and analyst.

Don’t you think that at some point it might be time to accept that Hillary lost the primary and move on? It’s been over a year; you’re getting pretty blatant with this stuff. (Isn’t it funny how you guys used to dump all over Fox up until the point where Obama won the primary?)

Compare the shift in tone re: Fox News. Links from before the 08 primary:

I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence that you guys switched from trashing to genuflecting toward Fox as soon as your common enemy became the Dem candidate. rofl. You couldn’t be more transparent and more lacking in credibility if you tried.

Oh uhh… you guys are aware Hillary is a member of the Obama administration right? Y’all seem to base your political decisions pretty much exclusively on how it relates to your favorite candidate, so I’m sorta surprised you morons don’t realize you’re trashing her by implication.

Comment by elizabethrc | 2009-10-29 09:51:02

Hmmm: It seems you’re ok with stealing elections, but most of us are not.
It was not until the main stream media stopped doing their job of reporting the truth fairly that FOX started getting our attention. That happened because, if you have listened to FOX at all, which seems doubtful, you would find what we found: more fairness comes from that station than any of the other ones. In fact, blatant is a good word to use, but not in your context. MSNBC, CNN,the major networks, NYT have all been blatant in their support of Obama.
As to Hillary, this lady is a lot smarter than you think, and her future is a lot brighter than Obama’s fading star. She saddled him with Healthcare Reform and don’t think she didn’t know what it would do to him.
When Hillary leaves the O admin, she is going to look even better and O is going to look even weaker.

Once again, Hillary didn’t “lose” the primary. It was taken from her by the Democratic Party. Obama didn’t “win” anything. Most Democrats didn’t want him. He won in November because he had a “D” after his name. Any Democrat would have won in November simply as a reaction to Bush.

Comment by Ani | 2009-10-29 12:01:08

You might want to tell your favorite President that. Because Emanuel, Gibbs, Kerry, and Obama’s other staff miss no opportunity to make their snarky little backhanded comments as if to say that Hillary is marginalized and there by their leave. They are still so jealous of her. She is more popular than he and is putting her head down and doing her job. Unlike Mr. 24 fund raisers in 9 months (compared with Bush or Clinton who held 5 or 6 in the same time period). Doesn’t he have more important things to do? How about the fact that he has played as much golf in this period as Bush had in 2-1/2 years (that did not come from FOX by the way).

We all used to complain the Bush was the most vacation taking president ever and wondered why he wasn’t getting down to work. But in re Obama? *crickets*

Obviously, our President is playing by a different set of rules when it comes to anyone criticizing him — in other words, everything he does is perfect.

That ‘SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER’ seems to fit the ‘NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE’ etc. slogan template. These morons still think of themselves as ‘community organizers’ (rabble rousers).

By the way, does this woman have lizard genes? We all know that Biden has (copper-based, green) Klingon blood. WTF is going on with all these people?!!

Comment by steve1 | 2009-10-29 07:42:29

Well, that’s good for Brown, but she still didn’t press the issue. Corporate-controlled MSM must be destroyed! Reformed, CNN MSNBC and yes, Fox…the list goes on ABC…They have enabled the mess we find ourselves in! Yes, Fox allows for a more fair and balanced approach, but I’m having a problem with all the cover-ups, distortions and the slant on all sides….Internet, the news print (not all), foreign media and even the “NE” are the way to go! We can’t put our trust in the MSM! Which is truly a sad situation……a small variety of some news programing!

Maybe making MSM non-profit, would ensure a more non-biased and truly investigative honest coverage of the issues. Business corporations should be kicked out of news media???

For anybody, HMMM, that feels this is about Hillary, you got it wrong buddy. We all got a taste of blatant dis-information as we watched MSNBC and CNN become fluffers for Obama. There was never any reporting on issues we all were aware of. There were no investigations of Obama’s past, his years in the Senate, etc. It was simply a regurgitation of Obama talking points and praises for his speechifying. Watching “uncommitted” Donna Brazille parade around these channels as she mocked us lifelong Democrats because we had questions was enough for me, but they went further. The Caucus Frauds! Rezko, the slums on the Southside, Chicago’s violence, Obama’s lack of interest in his Senate job, voting “present” or hitting the wrong button while legislating in Illinois? None of these topics were addressed by TeeVee media. We’ve all become aware of CORPORATE MEDIA and then watched helplessly as these same corporatations got taxpayer bailouts (free money) - we got zip! They are trying to imply FOX is responsible for us waking up and finally protesting some of these actions. Many of us knew of these issues without FOX. Many of us have a few more things to tell FOX.

Obama is afraid that all roads from ACORN lead to him. With Fox News being willing to expose the massive fraud and deception, Obama knows that soon a tape will surface with him in it and it will not be pretty. For so long, everyone was covering up, hiding, aiding and abetting his deception and lies, but now little by little, Obama is being called to task and may be criticized (Poor Baby) if he is not doing as well as his press corp. (MSNBC, CNN, NBC, et al) would like. Obama is so thin-skinned he is like jello. Obama, Valerie Jarrett and his minions are so over-impressed with themselves, they now think they rule the Universe (not just Chicago) and should be treated like royalty. They should remember that Marie Antoinette was be-headed in France…

I pay my cable bill, and I will damn well watch what I want!
I can discern between hard news and opinion, and will not be compelled to comply with the wishes of White House boot-lickers!
Fox is a thorn in the side of these pompous, self-serving aristocratic “wannabes”, and let the match continue!

I really hope Lou Dobbs can go over to FOX. It must be horrific to have no one around who shares your viewpoint!

This media war is completely out of hand. This is unbelievable!

Comment by ziggy | 2009-10-29 18:10:04

What’s to complain about with Lou Dobbs? Lou Dobbs is generally even-handed and insightful, even when he’s taking issue. He focuses on policy instead of personality. His input on topics of national interest is usually rational and constructive. He doesn’t try to tell his viewers what they should think, only what he’s thinking and why. From my own perspective he’s speaking from the middle ground.

Comment by ziggy | 2009-10-29 18:17:00

All of which, by the way, is why he probably wouldn’t go to FOX.

Would this site support Palin in 2012? Just curious.
She certainly wont put us trillions more into debt, leave our troops hanging (her son is one), apologize for america, bow to saudis, or treat woman like crap.

Comment by Sassy | 2009-10-30 10:15:56

Dan, I won’t speak for the site.
My vote went to McCain, but I was delighted that he chose this “real” woman as his running mate.
As a stand alone candidate, I will give Palin consideration, but she really should wait past 2012 in my opinion.
