As if Ferraro, Pen, Ickes and many others haven’t done the same?

This campaign has only served to show that dems (on both sides) can be as salacious, mendacious and downright scary ugly as the GOP… something I’d always thought wasn’t possible.

And I’m sure that the media won’t do anything about this. Could you imagine the headlines if Hillary had done something like this? The criticize that she endured after the Bosnia flap was ridiculous. Days and days of bad stories.

Obama’s mistakes are footnotes. Hillary’s are headlines.

Excellent point! I had forgotten about that. He relies on his aides for everything, and he surrounds himself with people that aren’t even clear on his views on something like gun control and abortion? He doesn’t check up on the work they are doing?

And this made me think about something else. He goes on and on about how he doesn’t have state senate records because he didn’t have any kind of staff. But his campaign staff was big enough that he an aide who did his paperwork for him?

This doesn’t add up for me.

A new ad by Sen. Obama running in Pennsylvania falsely claims that Sen. Obama does not accept money from the oil industry. In the ad, Sen. Obama says, “I’m Barack Obama and I don’t take money from oil companies or lobbyists and I won’t let them block change anymore.”

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Sen. Obama has received over $160,000 from the oil and gas companies. Two major bundlers for his campaign — George Kaiser and Robert Cavnar – are oil company CEOs. Sen. Obama has accepted money from Exxon, Shell, BP, Chevron and just about every other major oil company. Just last month, Sen. Obama accepted another $8,400 from ExxonMobil, $12,370 from Chevron and $6,500 from British Petroleum.

He keeps blaming his aides for “his” mistakes, but when they say something embarrassing he says he doesn’t agree with them.

Why is he allowing them to speak for him (without even reviewing what they say) if he doesn’t agree with them?

Yeah, that Obama campaign person at Rezko’s trial REALLY makes you think, doesn’t it. Hmmmm are they reporting back to Obama and Axelrod and Gibbs daily? Or are they there to.. let’s just say.. convince people not to say too much.

Obama is “consistent with his views?” That must be news to the folks in Idaho who were courted by Obama as Mr. NRA during their primary.

And.. ‘he didn’t fill it out’? OMG. That’s the political equivalent of “the dog ate my homework.” I have no interest in a candidate that would either 1) leave something that important to a campaign manager without checking to see if it was accurate or 2) Be such a vague candidate that even your CAMPAIGN MANAGER doesn’t know what you stand for. or 3) BLAME your campaign manager for something.

It’s amazing Obama has time to bowl when he’s so buys covering his own ass.

Obama Campaign = Ameteur Hour, riding on the borrowed wings of the media and a bizarre cult following.

This kind of campaign won’t beat John McCain, sorry. Hell, it might not be able to beat Hillary Clinton. This guy can’t close the deal despite being up against an opponent who has been pummelled nonstop by the media for the entire primary season. Imagine if the media treated the candidates equally? Obama would have been blown out of the water months ago.

This stuff will continue to get soft media coverage until the primary is over.

Was over on Politico this morning. The piece says Clinton’s black support is tenuous. Clinton supporter Cleaver states….

“If I do the party line, I’m supposed to say — and maybe I’ll say just so if anybody hears it they can say well, ‘Cleaver did the party line before he told the truth,’ — we believe that a contest going all the way to the convention is good for America,” he said. In fact, he continued, it would be the “tragedy of tragedies.”

Looks like the pressure to end this continues. She ‘gets to stay in’ until the last primary but then the party will end it. Personally, I hope he starts getting ripped apart right away, but I’m sure it won’t get bad until closer to November.
