Ballad of Timothy Geithner * Open Thread

Que pasa?

She’s got pretty darn good delivery, voice and substance. Thanks for the chuckle.

The American people deserve better than this tax cheat. But what Obama wants, Obama gets. The rules simply don’t apply to the elites, I guess.

It’s just one more thing coming from this administration that feels me with disgust.

  • TexasMirth

correction: fills me with disgust — sorry for that – it’s late!

Ha! :-) She’s great! Good video!

The latest in the “Timmy G” saga is that Elizabeth Warren, head of the Congressional Oversight Panel on TARP says that, well, maybe Timmy G’s plan for the banks isn’t exactly gonna help and isn’t the best way to go about getting our financial house in order.

Housingwire reports that Timmy G is UPDATING his PPIP plan and holding a “grand re-opening” of it due to low participation! Well, if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again, I guess. Doesn’t inspire much confidence in our Treasury Secretary when he has to REVISE his PPIP plan TWO WEEKS AFTER HE FIRST LAUNCHES IT, particularly when his initial presentation was months after he said he was going to present it!

What a failure. Fire this man. I can’t believe he was ever head of the NY FED, much less our Secretary of the Treasury.

Geithner will reintroduce the plan with more lipstick this time. Better go heavy on the mascara, too. This is flim-flam at its best. The man needs to have his ass fired!

Then force him and his buddies to stand in a some unemployment lines for the next 6 months. Maybe then they’ll “get it.”

    That was great!!

Camille Paglia, who has been an ardent but somewhat objective Obama supporter has this to say in her latest Salon.com offering:

“Obama’s staffing problems are blatant — from that bleating boy of a treasury secretary to what appears to be a total vacuum where a chief of protocol should be. There has been one needless gaffe after another — from the president’s tacky appearance on a late-night comedy show to the kitsch gifts given to the British prime minister, followed by the sweater-clad first lady’s over-familiarity with the queen and culminating in the jaw-dropping spectacle of a president of the United States bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia. Why was protest about the latter indignity confined to conservatives? The silence of the major media was a disgrace.”

For anyone who missed this…It’s PRICELESS…Barney Fife the moron being questioned by a Harvard student about what his role in Fannie and Freddie was. I hope we get rid of this embarrassing guy soon too.

I AGREE…why oh why couldn’t he just answer the question rather than attack the one who posed it. Totally pathetic..

  • Peggy Sue

Paglia is right on this one. I don’t always agree with her positions but she’s a straight shooter. And the question she’s asking is a very pointed one:

“Why was protest about the latter indignity confined to conservatives?”

Why indeed? Anyone other than a hopelessly lost Obamatron knows that a POTUS bowing and scraping to “any” foreign dignatory is a backhand to every American citizen. And the MSM is doing what it’s been doing from day one–covering this man’s behind.

Paglia is also correct when she says it’s a disgrace. I’d go another step: it’s unAmerican.

  • I’mFedUp

Thanks for that Peggy Sue. That about sums it up. As for Geithner, he even looks like a lying weasel and to have a confirmed tax cheat in that position puts so much stink on this pathetic country it’s unbearable.

  • andrew191

I’m afraid that there is now a majority in this country that actually WANTS the President to be submissive and conciliatory regarding other nations. I guess I come from an old and dying school of thought; I still think that the POTUS is supposed to STAND UP to the World, not bow down to it. If that makes me seem like a bully, TOUGH!!!

I want to take a moment to tell you who I admire

    Tammy Bruce,
An openly gay conservative feminist who champions individual liberties and is a real fighter against misogyny.
What I like best is her opposition to Obama.
Tammy sounds like many of the posters here on NQ who I also admire.

Why are we not bringing Tammy to NQ?
