Ah Yes, This is The Bill Clinton I Look Forward To Seeing

Not the “I Feel Your Pain” lip biting Bill. The “Fuck With Me and Mine At Your Own Peril” Bill:

According to those at the meeting, Clinton – who flew in from Chicago with bags under his eyes – was classic old Bill at first, charming and making small talk with the 15 or so delegates who gathered in a room behind the convention stage.

But as the group moved together for the perfunctory photo, Rachel Binah, a former Richardson delegate who now supports Hillary Clinton, told Bill how “sorry” she was to have heard former Clinton campaign manager James Carville call Richardson a “Judas” for backing Obama.

It was as if someone pulled the pin from a grenade.

“Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that,” a red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton erupted.

The former president then went on a tirade that ran from the media’s unfair treatment of Hillary to questions about the fairness of the votes in state caucuses that voted for Obama. It ended with him asking delegates to imagine what the reaction would be if Obama was trailing by just 1 percent and people were telling him to drop out.

“It was very, very intense,” said one attendee. “Not at all like the Bill of earlier campaigns.”

You tell ‘em, Big Man.

Bill Richardson is “dead to me,” as they say.

  • PMS

“Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that,” a red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton erupted.

Richardson’s spokesperson’s response was very telling, “Gov. Richardson never said he would endorse Mrs. Clinton.”

In other words, yes, he told Bill he wouldn’t endorse anybody.

    Never did trust that guy.

I’m glad Bill Clinton spoke his mind. He speaks for me, and that is for sure. I’ve never had my blood boil so much in my life as I watch the injustice of our party leaders, and the media. And all the Clinton cabinet members that are now Clinton back stabbers can go to hell! Karma is a comin, and it aint gonna to be pretty.

I really liked him once. What a Judas. Carville was right. There is no other word. God knows what Obama promised him. I saw a piece yesterday where he was performing another act of political felatio on Gore. And somebody has the nerve to call HILLARY a whore.

My Daughter got to Shake President Clinton’s hand a few nights ago here in Asheville! It made the local paper!

Something she can show her OWN kids someday!

  • Prem

So glad Bill spoke up—way to go! Thank you, President Clinton. I, too, had read somewhere (sorry I don’t have the link) in the media that Bill Richardson was not going to publicly endorse a candidate before the Convention. I also felt that he had betrayed his word when he did endorse.

  • rjj

Richardson is not only dim, he is a screw-up. He would have done well at FEMA.

Clinton has an anger management problem. The need to run HRC to offset the McCain anger management problem.

I prefer angy outbursts to sullen pissiness.

  • rjj

    angry outbursts.

  • it’snotme

I love the Big Dog! I would give anything to be a fly on his wall. I’d love to know exactly what he’s saying behind closed doors. I bet Judas Richardson will avoid the Big Dog for years to come.

I keep hoping Hillary wins so Judas Richardson can wallow in fear over the destruction of his political career. IF Hillary does win, Judas is finished in politics, me thinks. ;)

  • JoeySky

In time of needs, you know who is your true friend and real enemy. It’s good that Bill spoke out about Judas denied him 5 times. Judas probably sold Hillary for $10 million of Oprah’s money, and is hopeful for veep ticket. Judas might end up weeping at the end of the primary.

  • barbh

He is going to be in Charlotte and Monroe tomorrow, wish I didn’t have to work, I’d sure go. I’m going to have to keep a closer eye on events around here so maybe I can ask off to attend one.

My son 19 year old really wants to go see Hillary somewhere if we can figure out our schedules. He was a toddler when President Clinton was in office, but he has switched allegiance from BO to Hillary. I knew his intellect and abundant common sense would win out.

  • http://www.oohnuance.blogspot.com madamab

Good for him. Richardson is a jackass and an opportunist extraordinaire.

He’s hitched his horse to the wrong wagon this time, IMHO.

  • barbh

Bill Richardson, I’m not a big fan anymore. Wonder what kind of cabinet post or what he got offered. I’m willing to bet there was some kind of deal breaker.

  • Marco

I was leaving for work this morning and MSNBC was just reporting on this story on my way out the door.

The segment began with “There goes Bill Clinton again.”

I promptly shut off my tv and walked out. If Bill Clinton says the sky is blue, Clinton haters in the media will go out of their way to insult him and call it green.

  • blobert

Even though this is a free country, it’s breathtaking that Richardson, who owes his career to Clinton, would hurt him when he had a chance to return the favor.
    Cold blooded move.

  • http://jonesalley.blogspot.com Milo Johnson

Isn’t it amazing that Democrats, who have been humiliated for being the pussies they are, now are chastising the two biggest and bravest political warriors in the liberal fold, Bill and Hillary Clinton? Their willingness to fight to the death is EXACTLY what makes them the right ones to take it to the republic party this fall. Obama’s wishy-washy “come on, now, be nice” bullshit is an open invitation for a major ass-reaming by the right, but instead of worrying about that, the other “centrist” democrats are all clutching their hankies because Bill dared to bare his teeth just the slightest bit. Until real fighting liberals rescue the democratic party from those people, this country will continue to be drained by the maleficent right until the American Experiment is over.

Which of course is why the MCM is so afraid to have them in the White House and why they trash them every chance they get.

Bill and Hillary get trashed by MCM and Obama no matter what they do – talk about Rocky, Obama has to come in and trash her, tell an old folk story (about the little boy and the manure) and they try to make it look as though it was Reagan’s original story and she stole it!!!

It so reminds me of the bullies in the class playground inventing numerous ways to torture the class scapegoat because it’s their perverted sense of fun and power.

The fact that Obama gets pleasure from it tells us a lot about him, too.

I think both Clinton’s should not allow them to manipulate them. Even though they mocked Hillary when she went negative in Ohio, it worked. She won big time. I want them to fight back.

  • http://speaktruth speaktruth

Actually Obama is only nice to Republicans.

  • allimom99

And today BO’s team is whining (AGAIN) because someone who heard from someoneelse or whatever said that Hillary told Richardson “He (Obama) can’t win” in so many words. What a bunch of pussies they are! Isn’t the ability to win in November the ONLY issue? Never mind that this was in a private conversation thet likely wasn’t intended to be made public. Wonder who leaked that one hoping for some love. What a sorry excuse for a campaign.

I was also heartened to hear Big Dog giving poor Billie Richardson an ass-whoopin’ – I don’t know what they’re promising him, but since Latinos are largely going for Hillary, it won’t help BO in the expanding his base department. Richardson is toast.

  • Kathy

Thank heaven Richardson didn’t get any farther in the primary. Now that we all know what a Judas he is, who would want him for anything. Karma is going to come around and bite him in the ass. I can’t wait to say I told you so.

Carville still loyal to the end. I have so much respect for him. He knows what “friend” means.

Bill was the best president in my lifetime (even better than JFK). I loved the Clinton years (peace and prosperity). I have been wanting them back for 8 years. Please Hillary, go that last mile and you, Bill and Chelsea come back to the WH for 8 more years and bring me some peace of mind..

  • Psychodrew

Does anybody remember all the heat Richardson took for security problems in the DOE in the late 1990′s. He was considered a possible running mate for Gore for a while and suddenly people were wondering if he’d be forced out before the end of Bill’s presidency. Bill stood by him and didn’t throw him under the bus.

  • Douglas

You don’t think he returned the favour by being an honourable congressman? The UN Ambassador to the US? Energy Secretary? An excellent governor in New Mexico?

Doing the jobs he was asked of by the Clintons to the best of his ability?

He was actually running for President AGAINST Hillary for a while there.

You’re either with us or against us huh?

  • http://www.despair.com/changewinds.html Smilin’ Jim

Bill Clinton’s speeches as President were …….. boring.
And when not boring, contrived and trite.

Imagine the surprise of my life when I arrived at a friend’s house in Derry and was pulled bodily from the car and placed in front of the telly to watch Bill mesmerize the 2002 Labour Party Conference in Blackpool. My buddy, a rabid SDLP activist (he Shanghaied me for canvassing) could not withhold his amazement, “The guy talks like a university lecturer”.

Clinton was holding forth on how the world was evolving and told a stone-faced Blair with Darth Mandelson beside him to engage the United Nations before acting on Iraq. He did all this off-the-cuff, showing off his Georgetown training in world affairs.

Then when he kicked the shit out of the Wallace kid on Fox. Life was sweet.

  • Patrick Henry

Milo….I think those are good points..

  • Calamine

While it’s absolutely the case that dems have been clamoring for “real fighting liberals” I somehow doubt they pictured those answering said call unloading almost exclusively on fellow dems. Most were probably thinking more Feingold than Leiberman (or Zell)…

  • Nathan

I think what people are getting at (or should be) is that he lied to Bill Clinton.

  • Nathan

Here is a video that defines their idea of a “meltdown” (notice how he’s exceptionally calm, charming, and gracious in the face of someone calling him “Lee Atwater”).

  • chris

oh, the horror, the outrage, hide your children…make sure they never see this extreme clip of violence!!!!

funny, Obama couldn’t handle a photographer all that well yesterday and Clinton is accused of a ‘meltdown’?

    paaaleeeeassssseee

  • http://speaktruth speaktruth

I didn’t know about the speech?
Maybe because media didn’t cover it here?

And doesn’t that prove his contention that he spoke out against going into Iraq? And even Hillary’s contention of what her vote meant?

Why aren’t we seeing this covered anywhere or Bill speaking about it more, with the clip to prove it? It’s as good as Obama’s evidence of being against the war that he mentions every two hours.
Also, I’ve heard Bill speak with no notes for a few hours and be brilliant every minute. Same as Hillary yesterday on Kramer. Those are who should be leading us.
